John 16:16-24,“A little while, and you will see me no longer; and again a little while, and you will see me.” 17 So some of his disciples said to one another, “What is this that he says to us, ‘A little while, and you will not see me, and again a little while, and you will see me'; and, ‘because I am going to the Father'?” 18 So they were saying, “What does he mean by ‘a little while'? We do not know what he is talking about.” 19 Jesus knew that they wanted to ask him, so he said to them, “Is this what you are asking yourselves, what I meant by saying, ‘A little while and you will not see me, and again a little while and you will see me'? 20 Truly, truly, I say to you, you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will turn into joy. 21 When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come, but when she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world. 22 So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you. 23 In that day you will ask nothing of me. Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. 24 Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. Our passage begins with something like a riddle. Jesus says,“A little while, and you will see me no longer; and again a little while, and you will see me.” We're reading The Hobbit at home, and so I couldn't help but think of Bilbo Baggins and Gollum in the cave trading riddles while Bilbo hides the ring. What has roots as nobody sees / Is taller than trees / Up, up it goes / And yet never grows? . . . (A Mountain). Voiceless it cries / Wingless flutters / Toothless bites / Mouthless mutters. . . (Wind). Jesus had a little Bilbo in him here. He says, “A little while, and you will see me no longer; and again a little while, and you will see me.” You can picture poor Andrew sitting there and thinking it over. . . . Mmm mountain! No, wind! The disciples are all turned around here. Some of his disciples said to one another, “What is this that he says to us, ‘A little while, and you will not see me, and again a little while, and you will see me'; and, ‘because I am going to the Father'?” 18 So they were saying, “What does he mean by ‘a little while'? We do not know what he is talking about.”I don't think these guys would have made it out of the cave with Gollum's ring. “A little while, and you will see me no longer; and again a little while, and you will see me.” So what did he mean? He's talking about what's about to happen in the next few days. He's talking about the cross, the tomb, and the victory. In a matter of hours, you will not see me because I'm going to be killed. The good shepherd is about to lay down his life for the sheep. . . . And then, in a couple days, you're going to see me again. Oh you're going to see me.You Won't See MeFirst, he's preparing them for his death. “A little while, and you will not see me. . . .” Friends, I'm going to die. . . . You're going to have to watch me be betrayed, and slandered, and mocked, and then nailed to a tree and left to hang there until I can't breathe anymore. You're going to watch me bleed to death. And you're going to be sad. And it's right to be sad. It's going to be terrible, the worst nightmare any of you have ever seen. The crucifying of the Son of God is the greatest evil and heartache in history — and our history is filled, from Adam to Iran, with lots of evil and heartache. Whatever sorrow you're bringing in here — and there are serious sorrows in this room — whatever sorrow you're bringing in here, this is greater. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth” (John 1:14) — and they murdered him. They met all of that grace and mercy face to face, and they spat on him. They drove nails through his glorious hands, his sinless feet. He came to die for their sins, and they saw him, and they went and sinned even harder against him. They tortured him, and they savored his pain and shame. Verse 20, Jesus says to his disciples, “Truly, truly, I say to you, you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice.” I'm really going to die, and you're really going to weep. At the darkest hour, you're going to wish you couldn't see me anymore. That's how bad it'll be. And the world is going to watch you cry and they're going to cheer. In just a little while, it's going to be awful. You Will See meThat's not the whole riddle, though.“A little while, and you will not see me, and again a little while, and you will see me.”I'm going to die — but hear me, I ain't going to be dead long.“And again a little while, and you will see me.”I'm really going to die — my heart will stop, my eyes will empty, my lungs will collapse, my flesh will go cold — and then I'm really going to rise.“You will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will turn into joy.”I'm not going to be dead long, and so you won't have to be sad for long. I love the comma at the heart of that key sentence: “A little while, and you will not see me [comma, not a period] and again a little while, and you will see me.” The three days aren't even long enough for a period. Almost as quickly as he left and died, he's going to rise and return to them. He's going to walk with them, talk with them, even eat with them.He gives them a picture for what's about to happen in verse 21. “When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come. . . .”Can he get an amen, Cities Church? I mean Jesus is speaking our language here. We love babies in this church. We max out nurseries in this church. Some of us buy passenger vans. This is a familiar picture for us. And pregnancy is hard. God says to the woman, Genesis 3:16: “I will surely multiply your pain in childbearing; in pain you shall bring forth children.” These nine months are nine months of multiplying pain. You have back pain from carrying that little bowling ball everywhere you go. Your blood pressure might spike, threatening you or the baby. Your hormones surge, making you more anxious and irritable and sometimes sad. You're tired because your body's constantly in overdrive — your heart, lungs, kidneys all straining to support another human being. You're tired, but you don't sleep well at all, which makes everything (even the smallest tasks) ten times harder. You have to go to the bathroom every 12 minutes. You feel sick and you probably throw up. Some women throw up a lot — for months. And then, at the end of all of that, you might be in the agony of labor for hours (or even longer).Listen to what Jesus says: “When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come [comma] but when she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world.” She doesn't remember?!If he wasn't Jesus, we could say he's just another naïve guy who doesn't get it. But he gets it. “He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him,” — the baby, the womb, the placenta, the epidural — “and without him was not anything made that was made.” He gets it. And you get it, if you've ever seen a mother after she's had her baby. She's not holding her baby and grumbling about how much her back hurt for the last nine months. She's not complaining about all the times she had to wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. She's not hung up on all the extra doctor visits and the poking and prodding and anxiety. No, if you watch her, it really seems like she just forgot all of that. She forgot months of pain and exhaustion and vomitting in minutes — in seconds even. In just 6 pounds and 8 ounces, all of that is behind her. Why? She has her baby!“When she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the anguish,” Jesus says. Then verse 22: “So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.”You're going to have sorrow when I die, but you're going to see me again soon, and when you do, you're going to be absolutely overcome with joy. You'll be so overcome with joy that you just might forget the pain. The joy will be so full and so intense that you won't think about how sad you were. And he wasn't lying. In just a little while in the Gospel of John, we're going to see this happen. Here's John 20, after his death on the cross:On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.” When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.Their sorrow turned to joy, and no one and nothing took that joy from them. Remember, most (if not all) of these men will be killed for following Jesus, and none of that could touch their joy. Preparing You for Your SorrowsNo sorrow could touch their joy in him, and no sorrow in your life can touch the joy you have in the risen Jesus. In these verses, Jesus is clearly preparing his friends for his suffering on the cross, but he's also clearly preparing them for their own suffering to come. And we see this all over this final meal together. He told them, again and again, that they were going to suffer when he was gone.“If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. (John 15:19)“The hour is coming when whoever kills you will think he is offering service to God. . . . I have said these things to you, that when their hour comes you may remember that I told them to you.” (John 16:1)“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)If you follow me, you're going to have tribulation. You're going to have tribulation. You're going to have tribulation. This is going to be hard. Do you know that, Cities Church? Do you remember that when tribulation comes to your door? . . . So many Christians in the world have been led to believe that life with Jesus should be only joy and never sorrow. And so they're devastated when sorrow comes, and sorrow comes to us all. Jesus told us that, he warned us — but they're not listening to Jesus.Jesus said, I'm going to rise from the dead and so you're going to have untouchable, unshakeable hope and joy, but you're going to suffer. You're going to have sorrows of various kinds — prayers that go unanswered year after year. And I want you to be ready. And so he prepares his disciples for those sorrows in at least three ways here in these verses.1. You can have joy, even in sorrow.First, when sorrow comes, Christian — and sorrows will come — know that you have a reason to rejoice, even now. Verse 20: “Truly, truly, I say to you, you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will turn into joy. . . . 23 You have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.”This was true when Jesus died, and it's still true right now. He's still risen and living and reigning! He's as real and alive in heaven as you are in this room. Because he rose, we have joy, even now, even in the sorrows that come. We are sorrowful, yes, but always rejoicing (2 Corinthians 6:10), because Christ has conquered death, he's overcome the world, and he's preparing a place for us in glory where we will live with him forever. Our sorrows are real and heavy and painful, but they cannot touch that joy.He gives us another reason to think that we can have joy now, though, even in sorrow. Look down at verses 23–24:In that day you will ask nothing of me. Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. 24 Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. While they live and wait and hurt in a world without Jesus — with sorrows everywhere they turn — he wants them to pray. Ask me anything, he says. And he's specifically encouraging them to pray (notice) that their joy may be full. Pray in my name, ask me anything, that your joy might be full. And not full one day in heaven, but full right now in sorrow. He's not talking about joy when he comes again and takes them home. That will be a joyful day — the fullest joy and pleasures forevermore. No, he's saying pray here and now so that your joy might be full here and now. That's how powerful my resurrection is. You have a reason to rejoice and a power to rejoice no matter what your circumstances are. So many Christians in the world have been led to believe that life with Jesus should be only joy and never sorrow (and so they're undone when sorrow comes). Other Christians (maybe this is you) have suffered so much that you've started to think that life with Jesus, at least in this life, is only sorrow and never joy. And so you've stopped expecting to experience any joy here on earth. If Jesus has risen, and I can assure you he is not dead anymore, you can have joy, even now — if you ask.2. Joy comes to those who ask.So, when sorrow comes, first, know that you can have joy, even now. You still have big, strong reasons to rejoice. Second lesson here: joy comes to those who ask. It comes to those who pray. And that's where Jesus goes in verse 22:I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you. 23 In that day you will ask nothing of me. Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. 24 Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.Whatever you ask. . . What does the whatever really mean here? Clearly, it doesn't mean that God will automatically give us whatever we ask. We know that from experience, if we've ever prayed for anything for long. No, God doesn't immediately give us whatever we ask for. That wouldn't be loving. Parents understand this. Our kids ask for all kinds of things all the time, and we want to give them all the best things — but often that means not giving them what they want in the moment. No, he says, “whatever you ask of the Father in my name” — whatever you ask in reliance on me and for my glory. He said that earlier in the night, John 14:13–14: “Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.” There you have it again, whatever you ask. No, he doesn't immediately give us whatever we ask (because he loves us). No, the whatever here means we can ask him anything in this name. There's no ask too small or big. We're invited to ask like children. Children don't worry about asks being too small or too big. They just ask. That's how your Father wants you to ask, so that your joy might be full. Joy comes to those who ask.And our sorrows keep us asking, don't they? They keep us praying. In fact, this is one great reason for sorrow in Christian life. What do you pray for most often and most passionately? You probably pray for the things in your life that hurt — the loved one who isn't saved, the relief or healing that won't come, the bill that won't go away, the temptation that won't relent, the person who won't talk to you. You pray for those things because you have to. Sorrows keep us asking, and that means they keep us closer to Jesus. And in his presence, close to him, is fullness of joy — “that your joy may be full.” This is why the saints in your life who have suffered most are often strangely the happiest in him.3. Your sorrows will have a baby.Lastly, your sorrows will have a baby. What do I mean by that? I mean your sorrows, all your sorrows, have a purpose. They're going somewhere. Your pain, in the hands of God, it's producing something. Soon and very soon, your sorrows are going to give birth to a new life, a new world with only joy and never sorrow. God wants you to know that, in a little while, the baby's coming. In these verses, the sorrow of losing Jesus gives birth to the eternal joy of his rising from the dead. His suffering, every inch and millisecond, was filled with divine and perfect purpose. And your suffering, all of your suffering, has that kind of purpose. It's part of your path to glory, and this pattern is all over the New Testament.2 Corinthians 4:15-17,[When sorrows come] “We do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison.”Or Romans 8:16–18,“The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs — heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him” — we're going to suffer, we're all going to have sorrows — “in order that we may also be glorified with him. 18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.”John 16:21,“When she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world.”Your sorrows are going to give birth to a joy so great that it'll make you forget the sorrows you're carrying right now. When Jesus returns, you won't have to carry them anymore. Your joy in Jesus is going to outlast your sorrow. No one can take away your joy, but someone can take away your sorrow. If you entrust your sorrows to Jesus, he's going to take them away. You Will Ask Me NothingI skipped over a line in verse 23, and I want to end there:“In that day you will ask nothing of me. Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you.”What did Jesus mean when he said, “In that day you will ask nothing of me”? It might mean, “You'll stop asking me for things, and you'll start asking the Father in my name.” It might mean that, but I don't think that's what's going on here, and that's because the words for ask here are two different words in the Greek: “you will ask nothing of me” and “whatever you ask of the Father in my name.” The second one (“whatever you ask of the Father in my name”) is typically used for supplication: asking someone for something or to do something. The first Greek word (“you will ask nothing of me”) is most often used when someone's asking for information — when they need someone to explain something. And Jesus says to his confused disciples, who have all kinds of questions: “In a little while, you're not going to ask those questions anymore.” Think about all of their questions just in the last couple chapters:“Lord, where are you going?” “Lord, why can I not follow you now?” “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?” “Lord, how is it that you will manifest yourself to us, and not to the world?”“What does he mean by ‘a little while'?”They actually say in our passage, verse 18: “We do not know what he is talking about.”And Jesus is saying to them: You're going to know really soon, and then you will ask me nothing. You won't ask me where I'm going, and when, and how you're going to find me. In that day, you will ask me nothing, because I will have already died and rose. You're going to know what you need to know. And that's what we remember right here at this Table. Each Sunday, we come with all kinds of questions, all kinds of sorrows we desperately want him to heal and take away. But we're not asking how Jesus is going to save the world anymore. We know. With all our hearts, we know. This Jesus, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, he suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried — “a little while, and you will see me no longer.” He descended into hades. “And again a little while, and you will see me.” The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead. And when he does, he will wipe away every tear from our eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore — only joy and never sorrow.

In this eye-opening episode, Nurse Erica sits down with Bob Funk, creator of LaborLab, the only nonprofit watchdog organization tracking corporate spending on union-busting. Bob pulls back the curtain on the multi-million dollar industry dedicated to keeping healthcare workers from organizing, revealing how hospitals and healthcare systems spend millions of dollars on union-busting consultants. They explore LaborLab's union-buster tracker and discuss the common tactics employers use to discourage nurses from organizing, from captive audience meetings to intimidation and retaliation. Bob explains the Labor Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959 and how the LM-20 forms are supposed to work—along with the troubling reality that many employers and union-busters simply don't comply with legally required financial reporting. The conversation dives into the "persuader loophole" that allows consultants to hide their anti-union activities and discuss why the PRO Act matters for nursing. They don't shy away from the controversial topic of scab nurses and the damage strike-breaking causes to both patient care and the profession. Whether you're curious about organizing, already involved in union efforts, or just want to understand the forces working against nurses' collective power, this episode is essential listening! This is the testimony of Esther, an Iranian lady who grew up as a Muslim under the Ayatollah's Islamic regime. Her story is a powerful one - of religious rituals and rules, of strict segregation, of being silent and unseen. She had only 8 hours to flee the country at one point because of a particular threat of being reported to the government. Her husband got caught and imprisoned on that day. In the UK, Esther began a journey to Jesus that involved visions, paintings, Scripture that came into her mind (though she had never seen a Bible) and a powerful dream. This is an amazing story of freedom - in more ways than one.Support the show_________________________________________________________________________________Do get in touch if you have any questions for Matt or for any of his guests.matt@frontiers.org.ukYou can find out more about us by visiting www.frontiers.org.ukOr, if you're outside the UK, visit www.frontiers.org (then select from one of our national offices). On Wednesday's Mark Levin Show, people are still being killed in Iran. Is the U.S. on the way? There's been a lot of movement of military personnel in and out of the Iranian area. Any attack on Iran would require full preparedness. Also, Zuhdi Jasser describes political Islam as a system seeking centralized control over individuals' minds, bodies, societies, and governments, noting that Islam requires enlightenment and reform to counter theocracy in favor of individual liberty and universal human rights, as it remains stuck in seventh-century barbarism. The Islamist mindset fuels bloody sectarian wars in places like Iran, Syria, Yemen, and Lebanon, as well as targeting the West by organizations, with Qatar and Iran exemplifying its violent impact on Muslims and non-Muslims alike. Later, the ICE agent struck by Renee Good's vehicle suffered internal bleeding to his torso. Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey compared the injury to closing a refrigerator door with his hips. The Democrat Party is unleashing their militias as in 2020 to protect millions of illegal aliens, in hopes for a Supreme Court ruling upholding birthright citizenship—which doesn't exist in the Constitution. Democrats are pushing to eliminate or slash ICE funding, threatening government shutdowns and blaming Republicans, as exemplified by Chuck Schumer calling ICE agents untrained and responsible for killings. Afterward, the Supreme Court is poised to rule on a tariff decision. Upholding the lower court's ruling against the President's authority would cause absolute chaos, including uncertainties in repaying affected countries and determining when tariffs qualify as national security measures, as exemplified by the 25% tariff on nations doing business with Iran solely for security reasons. The Court has an out – reverse the lower court that ruled tariffs unconstitutional, then step away from any decision. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Send me a DM here (it doesn't let me respond), OR email me: imagineabetterworld2020@gmail.comToday I'm honored to introduce you all to: Ritual abuse, mind control, and organized child abuse survivor and overcomer, TikTok whistleblower and content creator, bringer of hope, stand-up comedian, artist, screenwriter, actress, singer, gifted entertainer, and a woman who took to social media to be a voice for the voiceless: Anya WickRaised in a family that publicly masqueraded as Jewish but privately admitted to Satanic practices, Anya's childhood was stolen by ritualistic and organized abuse. These horrors unfolded at places like family reunions, ski lodges, and notorious locations heard over and over again on this podcast like Bohemian Grove. Her father, a divorce attorney, and stepmother, who delighted in her suffering, orchestrated her torment, while her twin brother, separated at age four, was groomed into a Disney Channel star, both of their identities hidden behind forged documents. Her attempts to speak out were silenced - by a judge who limited her court testimony to her name and address, by an FBI investigation that closed when her father denied wrongdoing, and by a society conditioned to dismiss survivors as “crazy.” Yet, the truth persisted, clawing its way through her subconscious. In 2015, Anya was diagnosed with PTSD and in a desperate attempt to escape the cult, transitioned to male, taking testosterone and changing her name to Owen Theodore Epstein. This act, born of survival, freed her from being used in the cult, but left her with painful physical and emotional reminders of the lengths she went to reclaim agency. She believes Jeffrey Epstein was a pawn, his publicized his downfall a distraction from the deeper inner-workings of the cult, which continues to operate through perpetrators and abusers who still walk free. Her encounters with prolific figures, politicians and celebrities reveal a world where compromise, blackmail and bribery ensure silence, with ritualistic abuse the thread that weaves the tapestry together to forge loyalty through trauma. To survivors, she offers a powerful message: “You are not weak. You are not what happened to you. You are loved.” DONATE TO ANYA'S GO FUNDME: https://www.gofundme.com/f/safe-haven-and-legal-aid-for-anya-wick?attribution_id=sl:d48cca87-c9c6-48c1-a226-6d6fb0455a54&lang=en_US&utm_campaign=man_sharesheet_dash&utm_content=amp13_t1-amp14_c-amp15_t1&utm_medium=customer&utm_source=copy_link&v=amp14_cCONNECT WITH ANYA: TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@annawickfkaepsteinCONNECT WITH EMMA / THE IMAGINATION: YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@imaginationpodcastofficialRumble: https://rumble.com/c/TheImaginationPodcastEMAIL: imagineabetterworld2020@gmail.com OR standbysurvivors@protonmail.comMy Substack: https://emmakatherine.substack.com/BUY ME A COFFEE: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/theimaginationAll links: https://direct.me/theimaginationpodcastRIFE TECHNOLOGIES: https://realrifetechnology.com/Support the show

The backlash against DEI has left many leaders unsure of how to champion inclusion in a politically charged environment. Kelli Lester, co-founder of Onyx Rising and seasoned diversity practitioner, brings clarity with a grounded, practical approach to creating workplaces where everyone truly belongs. Her journey began with a recruitment project that opened her eyes to deeper issues in workplace culture, revealing that representation without intentional inclusion often leads to high turnover among diverse talent.Kelli's philosophy evolved from advocating solely for underrepresented voices to engaging those in positions of power to drive lasting change. “Being a voice for the voiceless was my early mantra,” she shares, “but I realized that for real change to happen, I needed to spend more time with those in the majority.” Her seven behaviors of inclusive leadership—ranging from self-awareness and psychological safety to managing inclusively—offer a concrete framework for leaders seeking to move beyond performative gestures toward real cultural transformation. In our conversation, Kelli also highlights the importance of understanding generational diversity in today's multigenerational workforce. She encourages leaders to ask human-centered questions like, “What does a good day look like for you?”—underscoring that inclusive leadership means seeing the whole person, not just their demographics. With practical tools and powerful insights, this dialogue is a must for anyone ready to build teams where diverse talent can thrive and lead.

Send us a text“How can I tell if a child needs legal help?” “Who speaks up for children who can't speak for themselves?” “What happens when the system fails a child?” – Sadly, the foster care and legal systems are imperfect. Both have countless faults and could be improved a million times over, and yet the kids who are unwillingly thrown around and abused in all of it often cannot speak up for themselves. Thankfully, today Rylie Heck and Sofia Scher sit down with Paul McBride, who shares his story growing up in the foster care system and then becoming a defender of children's rights. Paul is a fierce attorney, specializing in wrongful death and sexual assault, both very common in the foster care system, as well as a passionate advocate for youth who face these challenging situations, being a board member both at AMIkids and right here at Speak Up For Kids. He gives his insight on how legal advocacy protects vulnerable children, how families can ensure that their children's rights are protected, and ways to advocate for children in your community. He also discusses the largest legal challenges faced by youth, and how to find proper and good representation. Despite this broken system, there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and it all may start through simple, passionate advocacy. I'm Lesley Logan, Pilates instructor and fitness business coach. I've trained thousands of people around the world and the number one thing I see stopping people from achieving anything is self-doubt. My friends, action brings clarity and it's the antidote to fear. Each week, my guest will bring bold, executable, intrinsic and targeted steps that you can use to put yourself first and Be It Till You See It. It's a practice, not a perfect. Let's get started.Lesley Logan 0:48  Hi, Be It babe. Hello, happy Fuck Yeah Friday. If this is your first time with Be It Till You See It podcast, hi, I'm Lesley Logan. I'm so happy you're here. I'm really excited about just, literally, the amazing reviews we're getting, and how many people who've been guests on this pod love this pod, so that flatters me, but that means that you're here because someone told you about this. And so, thank you for being here. And on Fridays, we keep it light, we keep it bright, we keep it short, and we get to the point, because you have a lot going on, but this is supposed to be just a moment in your week when you just take time to realize what could be wins, what could be inspiring, that there are things out there always happening for us, right? Lesley Logan 1:24  So I start this off with something that inspired me on the internet, and then I share some wins that you sent in. I share a win of mine, and then I leave you with a mantra. Boom, we got four chapters. Lesley Logan 1:33  So this particular one that caught my eye, this is actually the second time this one's caught my eye. Her name is Kim Mulkey. She's a coach for LSU. You're probably like, Lesley, I got it. And if you don't listen to sports, then you might not know. But she got my eye a week ago, and I didn't put it in the FYFs because it's kind of just miffed me. But she, you know, she's talking about how she lost in one of the March Madness things, and she's like, oh, it's bad. And he goes, well, yeah, I mean, you lost. And she's like, well, have you ever made it to Round Eight? And, you know, anything? And he's like, no. She's like, well, then sounds like we did pretty much better than you. I just like that she clapped back. So I was like, ah, like, this woman, she's spicy. Anyways, this came across that she brings baby gifts to every coach on opposing teams that she's playing against who are expecting. And because ultimately, she believes, like we're on the same team. And I think it's so cool that this woman can take a moment outside of the competition to go, I see you mama over there. And here's a gift from me, because the reality is, is like, all these different women who choose to have children in their life, and they want to do that, and they want to coach, and they want to, at this elite level, they need their team. And so I just think that it's really cool, and what a badass she is. She claps back at stupid reporter questions, and she takes the time before a game to go and give the opposing coaches, this is like, there's multiple videos of her doing this, not just one coach, opposing coaches on other teams who are expecting, a baby gift. And I just think that's cool. You know, I'm not a mama, but I think that's really amazing. Lesley Logan 3:00  So now let's go to some wins of yours. By the way, my team really tries to link in the show notes these posts, if you actually want to see them. They exist. Okay, so from Mindi, Bendy Mindi, and also Mindi's Closet, she went, Pilates On Tour here in Colorado was an incredible for my clothing biz. Because of that, I will be able to go, be going to the Chicago P.O.T. in October. I love combining my passions and meeting so many wonderful people in the process. Thank you, LL and Brad, for your continued support and encouragement. You guys, it's really easy to go, oh, that thing that I want to do that could grow my business is actually an investment I can't afford right now, and be afraid to make that, and then also to make the investment, and go, ooh, I just did it. Only how's it gonna turn out? But not only did she do it, took her, you know, she felt the fear, and she did it anyway, but she actually had such a success. We're at a booth right next to her. We got to watch how successful the event was. And as someone that we get to coach, we actually got to talk about, okay, how do you make this win propel you to the next event? And that's something we work on in Agency, because it's really easy to go, oh my God, I got all this like, I got this windfall, and then spend it on places before you reinvest in your business. We did this with our flash cards. It was really easy for us to support her on. So we'll get to have a booth next to her in October in Chicago, and she gets to continue to grow this amazing side business she has. It's really inspiring to others. I'm actually currently wearing one of her shirts. She actually made it for the OPC team. Look at how cute that is, if you're watching, how cute that is. So cute. Anyways, go Mindi. So excited. Lesley Logan 4:25  Let's get you another win, you guys. This one is from Stacey Extence. She says, my wins after encouragement from LL. I did something I've never done, sent a message to people I know in my area via Facebook Messenger. I sent my flyer for a fundraising event I'm doing for CCP, inviting them to join. I got several responses from folks who I wasn't expecting. I'm receiving their email so I can include them in future announcements. Got my flyer printed and we'll place it in the studio tomorrow for the fundraiser, and began planning my open house after having a wonderful call with Mindi. I love how community works together, you guys. Received some great advice and ideas to base my open house on, had my annual mammogram. Woohoo for self-care. One new client who's been attending my beginner series weekly is new to Pilate and is loving it. She messages after each class letting me know how thankful she is for giving Pilates a try. She also wants to stick with my classes. And one new beginner, semi-private client, was the only person in class last week. I did a pivot during the session because of her tight hamstrings. I proved my knowledge about the session by focusing on strengthening and lengthening her back line. At the end of the class, she inquired about privates, hoping I can talk her into adding those into her schedule. Woohoo. I love that you did that pivot so that she could see the power of what can happen when things are tailored to her. I love that you call your annual mammogram a win because it is. Ladies, we gotta do these things. Thank you for reminding me to set mine up. I also would like to just say, like way to do the thing that feels weird. You DM people you didn't know. You email people you didn't know. These are the things that people don't do because they get scared of it, and you did it. And I promise you, even if those people don't return those emails, you're, you're telling the energy around you. I am accepting new clients. Look at the space I'm creating, look at what I'm doing to tell people who I am and what I rock at. So Stacey, that does work itself out, I promise you, it always, always does. It works in like, mysterious ways, which I love. Thank you for sharing, ladies. Lesley Logan 6:14  All right, a win of mine. So actually, this is a really fun one. I was just talking to Brad before I got to record this, and I was like, okay, I need some wins. And one of the wins that we wanted to share with you guys is that we have been protesting and having fun doing it. We don't have control over what the dickheads are doing in this planet that are fucking with like everything and excuse my language, but even if you don't agree with me on a lot of things, I think what we can agree with is I'm worried about my parents retirement. I'm worried about my family's retirement. I'm worried about that, right? Like I'm worried, I'm not worried about mine, because I'm not retiring anytime soon, but I'm worried about the people who it affects right now. And I can call and I can email and I can bitch and I can moan, or I could do something, and what I can do is on a Saturday protest, and so we actually went to our first protest in April, and it was really fun, and we've been doing it ever since, and it feels good. I highly recommend finding a protest near you, because it feels good to shout out the thing that is like pissing you off and to be around people who are also equally pissed off, but more importantly, not in a way that you're just like being Debbie Downers and just being negative, like actually doing something about it, because we can't take them out of their jobs. So what can we do? And it's really important, because it's helping people feel so seen people who don't have the ability to protest, people who who are being affected like they are, like seeing people fight for them, and that gives them hope. And I think it's really cool. Also, we told people we're protesting, and we ran into other people who we know, who we didn't know were going to be there. So we end up having a wonderful afternoon, spending time with our friends, who are all usually too busy to see, doing something that didn't cost us anything but our time, right? It didn't cost us money. We had to buy a ticket. We didn't have to go to a fancy dinner. We actually got to walk around a neighborhood, really bring attention to things that are bothering us. And so I am so excited that we got to do that, because it just felt like, you know, in 2016 when these were happening, I was traveling so much, I didn't get to participate in that. And then I remember when these were coming up, I was like, I don't even know how to do this. Like, where do I go? So I was doing a lot of research on, like, what to bring to a protest. What can you say? All these different things. And I highly recommend reading those accounts if you want to do it. But I will just say, if you are feeling like you don't have community, find a protest, you will immediately feel like you have it. It was so good. And that is my win. Lesley Logan 8:21  Okay. Your mantra. I seek out mystery in the ordinary. I seek out mystery in the ordinary. I seek out mystery in the ordinary. You guys, you probably are like my days are boring. No, seek, like, be curious about that. There's probably something new you never even knew was there. Thank you so much for being you. Thank you for listening to this podcast. You are part of its growth and its success, but the more it succeeds, the more it means we can bring to you to support you on your journey of being the person you want to be before waiting for someone to deem you. At this podcast, we do not wait for someone to deem us ready, we act as if we are and we do it scared, we take messy action and we celebrate the wins we have big and small, right? We celebrate them big and small. And so thank you so much for being a listener, and until next time, Be It Till You See It. Lesley Logan 9:10  That's all I got for this episode of the Be It Till You See It Podcast. Click play to learn countless tips and tricks and receive additional resources. It's time to bring justice to the voiceless! This is Part 1, Part 2 is out now! Kelsey Pritchard is political affairs communications director for Susan B. Anthony (SBA) Pro-Life America. When Planned Parenthood released their annual report for 2023-2024, we learned that during that fiscal year, 402,230 baby boys and girls were slaughtered in the womb through their actions. That's over 1,100 babies coming to their death every single day.If that's not shocking enough, consider the fact that you paid for this! Planned Parenthood took in over 792 million dollars in taxpayer funds through reimbursements and grants. How many of these children would have been part of our lives in some way as co-workers, classmates or family members? It's because of Planned Parenthood's efforts, fueled by the 2 million in daily taxpayer funding they've received, that these individuals were never able to be part of our world.Kelsey warns women not to be fooled by the marketing efforts of Planned Parenthood because behind the attempts to look like a friend of women, their primary focus is to take the lives of the most vulnerable among us.Interestingly, both NPR and the New York Times have recognized the harm that Planned Parenthood can do. Kelsey cited a New York Times report that came out in February detailing the atrocious conditions and experiences that women have had. This is just some of the information you'll hear discussed during the first quarter hour of this broadcast. Justin Yentes is joined by Chief Hilario Tanakeyowma, a veteran of Tribal law enforcement, and investigator Mike Lancaster in this eye-opening episode.
