In this special tribute episode of the Tactical Living Podcast, hosted by Coach Ashlie Walton and Sergeant Clint Walton, we pause to remember Charlie Kirk, his impact, his convictions, and the life he lived in pursuit of truth, faith, and service. As news of his death touches the nation, we also look forward to the book he left behind: Stop, in the Name of God: Why Honoring the Sabbath Will Transform Your Life (Amazon Affiliate), due December 9th. We reflect on the legacy he left, what defined him, and what we can still learn from his life. Whether you agreed with all his views or not, Charlie's story holds lessons about courage, conviction, rest, and what it means to stand for something beyond yourself. 10 Things People Should Know & Remember About Him: Charlie was the co-founder of Turning Point USA, a youth activism organization, started when he was just 18. He was a passionate advocate for free speech, civic engagement, and conservative values, often speaking directly to young people on college campuses. He had a strong spiritual life; in later years he practiced honoring the Sabbath and explored how rest and faith intersect. He was set to publish Stop, in the Name of God: Why Honoring the Sabbath Will Transform Your Life on December 9, 2025— a book that offers spiritual wisdom about rest, presence, and resisting the busyness of modern life. After his tragic death, his podcast and books saw a surge in interest—people wanting to re-hear his voice, re-read his work, and reflect on what he stood for. He believed rest and spiritual sabbath were not just spiritual luxury but radical acts of resistance against anxiety, distraction, and cultural exhaustion. Charlie often emphasized the importance of family, faith, and a moral code in shaping character and purpose. He challenged listeners to think deeply about their identity beyond political alignment—about what you believe, and how belief shapes how you live. Despite controversy, his ability to mobilize and influence young people—encouraging them to get involved, speak up, and defend their values—was significant. His legacy continues through the movement he built, the people he inspired, and now through his writings, including the upcoming Sabbath book that invites readers to reclaim rest. What Stop, in the Name of God Offers & Why You Should Pre-Order: It teaches how honoring the Sabbath isn't rejection of productivity, but a pathway to peace, rest, and deeper connection. Offers practical spiritual wisdom—tools to unplug, recharge, and reconnect with faith, family, and self. In a culture obsessed with hustle and noise, it's an invitation to reclaim what truly matters and to resist perpetual busyness. Why This Episode Matters: Charlie Kirk's life was full of passion, friction, faith—and now, in his passing, reflection. His upcoming Sabbath book adds another layer to his message: that rest and identity are intertwined, and that you can't sustain impact without renewing your soul. For first responders, this is especially resonant: we're often called to serve, protect, and hustle—but what happens when we don't learn to rest? This episode is for remembering, for honoring, and for asking: How might honoring rest change your life?

What if the very tests your doctor says are “normal” are actually missing the real reason you feel exhausted, foggy, anxious, or out of balance? For millions of people, thyroid issues are at the heart of their symptoms — yet they're often overlooked, misdiagnosed, or mistreated. In this episode of the HEAL with Kelly Podcast, I sit down with McCall McPherson, PA-C — a physician associate, TEDx speaker, and founder of Modern Thyroid Clinic — to uncover the truth about thyroid health and the issues with how the conventional model addresses it. McCall shares both her medical expertise and her personal journey with hypothyroidism, shedding light on why so many patients aren't getting the answers they need and what we can do differently. Together, we explore the crucial differences between Hashimoto's, Graves', and hypothyroidism, why relying on TSH markers alone misses the bigger picture, and the labs that actually matter. We talk about the role of inflammation, toxins, and stress in autoimmune thyroid disease, as well as the hidden connections between thyroid health, heart disease, diabetes, and cognitive decline. McCall also opens up about controversial topics many doctors don't discuss — from the risks of birth control and misconceptions about hormone replacement therapy to the overuse of GLP-1 drugs. And she offers practical, empowering lifestyle shifts — from food to relationships to microdosing peptides — that can make a profound difference in daily health. This is an eye-opening and life-changing conversation for anyone who has ever been told their labs are “normal” but still knows something isn't right. Key Moments You'll Love✨:

Trump-era executive orders, police hiring standards, and college admissions all converge in a decades-long debate over disparate impact, one of the most misunderstood yet consequential doctrines in civil rights law. In this episode of Stanford Legal, Professor Ralph Richard Banks, faculty director of the Stanford Center for Racial Justice, joins host Professor Pamela Karlan for a deep dive into how the disparate impact doctrine really works, why it matters, and what's at stake when it's attacked in the name of “meritocracy.” From the landmark Griggs case to modern college admissions, Banks dissects the arguments on all sides—showing how this sometimes-vilified legal doctrine not only helps root out discrimination, but can also strengthen, rather than undermine, meritocracy. Episode 565 - Lee Clark - Matthew Paine Mystery Series - Including the upcoming book Killer ConvergenceLee Clark is the author of the Matthew Paine Mystery series of classic murder mystery novels, including Dead Spots, Prefer Death, MIA, Christmas Punch, Iced, Forbidden Relics, and the upcoming Killer Convergence to be released in the spring of 2025. According to multiple reviews across the book series on goodreads and Amazon, Clark "writes like Agatha Christie," and is reminiscent of Margaret Maron and Louise Penny. A North Carolina native, Clark grew up in Raleigh with family roots in Virginia. An admitted chocoholic and coffeeholic, Lee Clark still resides in North Carolina with spouse, two mostly grown children who are in and out, and a dwindling petting zoo of geriatric dogs and cats. Lee Clark attended Campbell University, obtained a degree in Journalism from East Carolina University, and then a Master's in Technical Communication from North Carolina State University. Following a twenty year career in the software development industry of corporate America at IBM, Clark turned to writing fiction in 2021 with the release of Dead Spots, the first in the Matthew Paine Mystery series. The Matthew Paine character is a beloved character to the author. Though a fictional character, Matthew was inspired by two very important men in the author's life, brother Sean and son Will. Both will catch glimpses of themselves in the character and identify with some of Matthew's struggles. https://cypressrivermedia.com/Support the show___https://livingthenextchapter.com/podcast produced by: https://truemediasolutions.ca/Coffee Refills are always appreciated, refill Dave's cup here, and thanks!https://buymeacoffee.com/truemediaca

Protect the first hours of your day for your most important creative work, as they are often your most productive. Physically changing your location can be an effective strategy for saying "no" and creating space for deep work. If you're struggling for note-writing ideas, the root problem is likely a lack of "live flow"; increase your conversations. To start deeper conversations, ask specific, open-ended questions like "What's your favorite summertime activity?" instead of generic ones. Practice active listening by letting a person's last answer guide your next question, allowing you to go deeper. The goal of FORD and Record is to uncover details that allow you to create a personalized, high-value "wow" experience. Episode 67 In 1989, a fire at a religious camp in Pennsylvania claimed the life of 20-year-old Ji Yun Lee. Her father, Han Tak Lee, a Korean immigrant with no criminal record, was swiftly arrested, tried, and sentenced to life in prison. But what seemed like a clear-cut arson case quickly unraveled into a cautionary tale of flawed fire science, cultural bias, and the dangers of rushing to judgment. In this episode, we examine how prosecutors built a case on burn patterns and cultural ignorance—and how modern fire investigation and one relentless expert helped expose the truth. Han Tak Lee spent 24 years behind bars for a crime that science would later prove never happened. This is the story of how culture was put on trial—and how justice failed. Picking up where we left off, Part 2 of this fascinating episode with Rizwan Virk and Tom Bilyeu dives even deeper into the boundaries between science fiction and scientific reality. The discussion moves beyond simulation as a hypothesis and into the territories of time travel, alien intelligence, and the recurring patterns that mystics and religious traditions have long wrestled with. Rizwan opens up about the research behind his updated Simulation Hypothesis book, laying out how modern AI, quantum computing, and ancient spiritual wisdom might all be converging to update humanity's operating system. Tom challenges Rizwan on the reliability of self-reported mystical experiences and probes the intersection where memory, psychological illusion, and technological overlap might reveal a deeper structure to reality. Together, they dissect why we may be “meant” to learn certain lessons, what meaning and purpose look like if we're avatars with storylines, and how intuition and dreams might be signals from outside the “game.” SHOWNOTES 55:59 Simulation Saves, Replays, and Alternate Histories01:10:56 Can We Access the Rules? Let's get real about the messy middle of writing a book. Spoiler: “Million Dollar Grit” is finally wrapped—but not the way I first imagined. I chopped it down to the raw decade that took me from stay-at-home chaos in 2007 to my first million in 2017, before ClickFunnels days, before Funnel Gorgeous, before DI. Think 15 chapters of war-stories and million-buck lessons, minus the parts I'm still living and processing (privacy, haters, emotional landmines—yeah, those). In this episode I break down why the manuscript shrank from 80K words to a tight 30K, how God nudged me to give it away for free, and what's next: an ebook and a private podcast where I'll read each chapter and riff on the bits that didn't make the cut. My guest is Michael Easter, a professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and best-selling author. We discuss how particular daily life choices undermine our level of joy, our sense of purpose, our physical and our mental health and the daily, weekly, monthly and yearly steps we can all take to vastly increase our level of motivation, gratitude and overall life satisfaction. We discuss how effortful foraging for information, undistracted reflection and physical exercise are ways to ‘invest' and therefore grow our levels of dopamine, energy and motivation, whereas low-friction activities are specifically designed to hijack or diminish them. We also discuss dopamine reward circuitry in the context of how to build and reset one's energy levels and create a deeper sense of purpose in work, creative pursuits and relationships. This week on The Sisters of the Shire Podcast, we had the absolute honor and joy of interviewing none other than Don Marshall — yes, The Obscure Lord of the Rings Facts Guy himself! From deep Tolkien lore dives to delightfully random hypotheticals, we asked Don everything — the insightful, the silly, the wildly obscure — and he met it all with his trademark warmth, wit, and passion. We even had an entire conversation about who we would cast in a Silmarillion movie, and it was as epic (and chaotic) as you'd expect.Don's love for Middle-earth is not only incredibly deep, but beautifully genuine.
