Learn how Forms Logic, a cloud-based fintech platform built exclusively for financial services firms, is revolutionizing client onboarding, account opening, and advisor transitions. In this episode of the Model FA podcast, CEO David DeCelle interviews Joel Friedman, the Chief Operating Officer of Forms Logic, who shares his 25 years of experience in wealth tech. Discover how the Navigator product eliminates paper-oriented, manual processes and single-handedly ensures single data entry and the use of the most updated, correct forms, dramatically reducing Not In Good Order (NIGO) rates from up to 50% down to the low single digits. Joel also details how the Migrator product streamlines advisor transitions, turning a typically 60- to 90-day process into a three-to-four-week preparation period, which is critical because "time kills deals" and means assets are deployed faster to generate income. Forms Logic is focused on streamlining front and back office operations for broker-dealers, RIAs, and wealth managers to free up capacity for organic growth. In this episode: • Meet the Expert: Joel Friedman, a long-time expert (25 years!) in the technology used by financial companies, especially known for his 20+ years at Docupace. • The Solution: A tool called "Forms Logic Navigator" that solves the huge problem of too much paperwork in wealth management. • The Problem: Opening new client accounts is slow and full of mistakes because people have to manually fill out and check forms, often typing the same information (like a name) over and over. • The "Magic" of Single Entry: Forms Logic's Navigator lets you enter a client's information just once, and it automatically fills out all the necessary forms. • Fewer Mistakes: The system drastically cuts down on forms that are "Not In Good Order" (NIGO)—meaning they're incomplete or incorrect—from a very high 30-50% down to almost none. • Easy Advisor Moves (Migrator): Forms Logic's Migrator makes it much faster and simpler for financial advisors to switch firms and bring all their clients with them, cutting a 60-90 day process down to just a few weeks. • Why Quickness Pays Off: Moving assets faster means they start earning money sooner, which boosts income and keeps clients happier. • Complete Workflow Automation: The platform handles everything from the forms the advisor fills out (front office) to the processing and checking done by the company (back office), creating a seamless, streamlined process. • The Main Advantage: By automating and simplifying operations, the firm and its advisors have more time and energy to focus on finding new clients and growing the business. #FinancialServicesTechnology #WealthManagementSolutions #AdviserTechnology #FormsAutomation #FintechInnovation #BusinessEfficiency #ClientOnboardingSolutions #AdvisorTransitions #FintechForAdvisors #FormsLogic #WealthTech #NIGOSolutions Connect with Joel Friedman / Forms Logic: Website: formslogic.com --- About the Model FA Podcast The Model FA podcast is a show for fiduciary financial advisors. What does a creative director actually do at a major fashion publication? Is Chrome Hearts still worth the investment in 2026? How did vintage Bape become the gateway drug for an entire generation of streetwear obsessives? And why is Rick Owens' FW14 Moody still influencing how we dress today? We sit down with Paul Heavener, Creative Director at Hypebeast, for a deep dive into his decade-long journey from Bape Talk forum moderator to leading one of fashion media's most influential creative teams. Paul shares stories about discovering Bape in a college dorm in 2005, his first fake hoodie, lining up outside in NYC for shark hoodies, and how internet fashion forums shaped streetwear culture before Instagram existed.Sol and Michael also chat with Paul about his obsession with Rick Owens (specifically the FW2014 Moody show, crop Stooges, and the Little Joe jacket), his complicated relationship with Chrome Hearts and their disappearing customization services, and why he now hunts for 1930s French workwear instead of hyped releases. We break down the rise of Golf as a hyped area of men's fashion and post-COVID individual sports culture, how Hypebeast balances legacy readers with Gen-Z audiences, the return of print magazines as collector's items, and why the anime-to-fashion pipeline is more real than ever. Finally, Paul reveals his favorite emerging designers (Professor E, Taiga Takahashi, Camiel Fortgens), explains how Hypebeast's creative studio actually operates, and shares his path from intern to creative director.Whether you're interested in breaking into fashion media, understanding how creative direction works at scale, hunting for archive pieces, or just want to know what the creative director of Hypebeast wears day-to-day (spoiler: Ann Demeulemeester jeans, Rick Owens long sleeves, and Chrome Hearts jewelry), this episode delivers. For extra episodes, early access to episodes, and giveaways, subscribe to our HeroHero!Episode Tags: Hypebeast interview 2026, A Bathing Ape, Nigo streetwear, Chrome Hearts jewelry, Chrome Hearts 2026, archive fashion, menswear podcast, fashion media career, creative director career, fashion editorial, streetwear trends 2026, French workwear vintage, Hype Golf, golf fashion 2026, golf streetwear, Hypebeast magazine, menswear trends 2026, Lady Machine DJ, fashion industry podcast, high fashion podcast, JoJo Bizarre Adventure fashion, Paul HSol Thompson and Michael Smith explore the world and subcultures of fashion, interviewing creators, personalities, and industry insiders to highlight the new vanguard of the fashion world. Peso Pluma BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Peso Pluma has spent the past week both cementing his status as a musical icon and landing in the public eye for reasons beyond his rapid chart success. Notably, he was the surprise guest at Kali Uchis's Kia Forum show in Los Angeles on August 21, turning her North American arena tour highlight into a social media sensation as fans flooded platforms with excitement for their electric joint performance. The tour, dubbed The Sincerely Tour, has been making waves and Peso's appearance there further confirms his genre-straddling appeal with both fans and critics expressing envy at missing the sold-out Los Angeles dates, as reported by Sportskeeda and PopCrave. On the business side, Peso Pluma's career faced indirect turbulence when music executive Ángel del Villar, a pivotal figure in his early development, was sentenced to four years in federal prison for money laundering. Digital Music News revealed Del Villar's involvement with concert promoters sanctioned for cartel money laundering, casting a shadow over the regional Mexican scene but not directly implicating Peso Pluma in the case.Musically, this week saw Peso Pluma's creative and industry recognition soar. He picked up five nominations for the 2025 Premios Juventud awards, placing him among the year's top Latin hitmakers as per the Los Angeles Times. The ceremony has expanded with new categories reflecting shifting musical trends and will take place for the first time outside the United States, signifying Peso's rise in an ever-globalizing market.Peso Pluma also reconnected musically with Argentine rapper Duki and streetwear mogul Nigo for the single and music video Alley Oop, depicting the duo in lowrider scenes and signaling cross-border collaborations likely to reshape Latin urban music, according to RollingStone and IMDb News.On the personal front, relationship drama dominated headlines after Argentinian singer Nicki Nicole hinted at a split on Instagram, just days following their joint Grammy appearance and sightings together at Grammys and NBA events. Her emotional posts, widely paralleled by fan reactions, were sparked by videos of Peso Pluma reportedly holding hands with another woman during Super Bowl weekend in Las Vegas. The breakup has been covered by People and AOL News and has further amplified the narrative of Peso as both an artist and a tabloid fixture. An Esquire interview published August 21 captured Peso Pluma in a reflective mood, working on new music and discussing lessons learned from fame and current sociopolitical issues, especially border tensions. He advised fans to be patient and promised that his evolving sound would soon address unity and culture—fueling speculation about his forthcoming album.Social media continues to buzz about Peso Pluma, from concert footage to fan selfies, with recurring themes about his influence on corridos, Latin pop, and even fashion—his image at events and collaborations draws continuous coverage from outlets like Hispanxs and Instagram reels.Speculation is swirling about the themes and collaborators for his next album due to these public appearances and introspective interviews, but nothing beyond his remarks about unity and cultural learning has been confirmed. Peso Pluma remains at the center of changing Latin music narratives, his every move watched and debated by a rapidly growing audience.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOta

At Coral Capital's Tokyo HQ, artist–entrepreneur VERBAL (m-flo rapper and producer, AMBUSH® Co-Founder, and SŌMATŌ sake founder) sits down with James Riney and Tiffany Kayo to unpack how Japan's next cultural wave is being built at the intersection of streetwear, music, and frontier tech. They explore why a Tokyo mindset still captivates tastemakers from Pharrell to Prada, and what has to change for Japan's creators to capture Silicon-Valley-level scale. The conversation dives into:• Streetwear's original “soft-power” playbook — how Nigo, Pharrell, and a Harajuku network turned Japanese design into hip-hop currency and seeded brands like AMBUSH®.• Two SKUs and a Paris runway — why VERBAL and Yoon Ahn sold a majority stake in AMBUSH®, what they learned inside New Guards Group / Farfetch, and why they just bought it all back.• Craft sake, misunderstood luxury — the cold-chain, labeling, and pricing gaps keeping nihon-shu under-valued abroad, and how SŌMATŌ plans to rebrand the category for Michelin tables.• AI, Web3, and VTubers — a realist's take on Suno-generated melodies, token-gated superfans, and the virtual-idol economy Japan is quietly leading.• Lessons from K-Pop's public-private machine — what Japan can borrow (and what it shouldn't) to export its own IP at scale. If you're working on something ambitious, we'd love to hear from you at Coral Capital!Get in touch with us here: bit.ly/contactcoralConnect with VERBAL: X: https://x.com/VERBAL_AMBUSH Connect with James:X: https://x.com/james_rineyLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jamesrineyConnect with Tiffany:X: https://x.com/tiffanykayoLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tiffanykayo/
The biggest friction in financial services isn't technology, it's the dreaded "NIGO," forms that come back marked "Not In Good Order."Join hosts Chuck Moxley and Nick Paladino as they talk with Bobbi Jo Allan, innovation leader at Nationwide Financial, who reveals the complex world of B2B2B2C financial transactions. Bobbi Jo explains how financial advisors, not consumers, are the primary users of financial platforms, and why a single missing signature or incorrect form can derail transactions worth thousands of dollars. She shares Nationwide's vision of a "formless future" where digital transformation moves beyond simply digitizing paper processes to completely reimagining how complex financial products are sold and managed.Bobbi Jo also discusses how Amazon-level expectations have reached even the most traditionally paper-based industries, forcing companies to rethink experiences that may involve 10-15 steps and months-long purchase cycles. The conversation reveals why financial services require strategic friction for fraud prevention and emotional decision-making, and how the industry balances seamless digital experiences with the deeply personal nature of financial planning.Main Takeaways from this episode:Think transformation, not just digitization — Moving from paper to digital forms still leaves you with the same complex multi-step process; true innovation requires reimagining the entire customer journey from scratch.Design for your actual users — In models like financial services, the people experiencing friction aren't always the end customers; optimize for the advisors and institutions who actually interact with your systems daily.Use strategic friction for protection — Introduce intentional friction during emotional or high-risk transactions like market panic withdrawals or fraud-prone activities to protect customers from decisions they might later regret.Want more tips and strategies to create frictionless user experiences? The sneakers that you loved decades ago may not be all that exciting today—no matter how much you try to convince yourself otherwise. Here, Complex Sneakers Podcast co-hosts Joe La Puma, Brendan Dunne, and Matt Welty talk about wanting old Air Jordans to come back only to realize that a lot of them really don't hold up. The retro market is different, and more saturated now, which affects how we consume retro staples like Jordans and Air Maxes. The co-hosts also discuss the black and royal Air Jordan 1 “Reimagined,” which arrived to not that much fanfare last weekend and may be an indicator of how people feel about too many tweaks on original Jordan styles. Also: the TMNT x Adidas Superstar, Nigo x Nike Air Force 3s, and a look ahead at ComplexCon. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
