Interview by Kris PetersHailing from Northern Ireland, heavy as sin metalcore outfit Archives have emerged into the music scene with a point to prove and an attitude to match.Their 2021 debut album Decay introduced the world to the ferocious sonic onslaught borne out of a lifetime of frustration that simmered within the musical DNA of Archives, promising a bleak yet bright future for the band.Archives will unleash their follow-up album No Bliss In Ignorance on June 7, with the crushingly brutal singles Make No Mistake, No Sweat, Self-Inflicted and Matriarch offering a glimpse into the band's intentions and setting the tone for another slab of brutality.HEAVY spoke with vocalist Adam Holland earlier today to get the inside word on what to expect from No Bliss In Ignorance. We start by asking how he is feeling about the impending release."Pretty excited," he enthused. "It feels like it's been a long time coming, in all honesty, because we've been messing about back and forward and taking our time with this one. Because we kind of rushed the last album a bit I think. We just couldn't wait to get it out (laughs)."We ask him to describe No Bliss In Ignorance musically."Our guitarist Stewart wrote most of the stuff," he replied. "And I think what we were trying to do was throw in a few different elements this time compared to the last album. It was good, but it had a similar thing going on with it, whereas I feel like on this album there's a couple of songs that are a bit different from the last. I guess we were just trying to have a bit of fun with it."In the full interview, Adam discussed the band's upcoming album No Bliss In Ignorance in more detail. He talked about the deliberate experimentation and thoughtful approach taken during the recording process, emphasizing the album's thematic significance in exploring societal issues and personal experiences. Holland also discussed the music scene in Northern Ireland, including pre and post-Covid dynamics, increased local show attendance, and the tight-knit community. The interview concluded with Holland expressing enthusiasm for the band's upcoming tour in England and Ireland, as well as potential future tours in Australia.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/heavy-music-interviews--2687660/support.

In today's episode, private investor and host of the Desert Island Investor Podcast Mark Atkinson rejoins me for a conversation with MPAC CEO Adam Holland. Mark's professional background was in the paper and packaging industry. He has been a shareholder in MPAC since 2013 when it was known as Molins. Adam has enjoyed a varied engineering career, initially working in space technology, then with Rolls Royce and for JCB before joining MPAC initially as COO in 2021. He has a track record of solving engineering problems in global industries and leading teams that provide after-sales care for large multinational customers.Adam gives us a detailed run-through of the rich legacy of the business he now runs and its evolution into an automation systems provider to the global packaging industry. He talks about the scale of MPAC's market, the challenges, and the opportunities to grow organically with existing and new customers, and via infill acquisition. We learn from Adam why he prefers to reinvest in the business than to pay dividends today, how MPAC has significant potential in the giga factory market for the scale production of modern batteries, and that scaling the business and maintaining its culture of engineering excellence and customer service is vital in his vision to make MPAC into a business capable of being 10x its current sales level. Myself and Evan have a great chat to Adam Holland (vocals) & Daryl Montgomery (drums) about their band and brilliant debut album 'Decay'. The lads dropped 'Decay' on December 10th, 2021 and it is a nothing short of a jaw dropper! The vocals are both harsh and clean blended into the heavy often brutal riffs, spiked with genuine energy and melodic hooks. Evan named them his favourite 'New Irish Metal band of 2021' on The Metal Cell Awards yet it's hard to imagine 'new' with the 'established' sound that Archives already have. The other members are Stewart Ferguson (Lead Guitar/Clean Vocals), Samuel Irwin (Rhythm Guitar) and Paul Douglas (Bass). There's a lot planned for the lads in 2022; after the successful launch of their album in Belfast and an appearance in Dublin in Fibber Magees. The next time you can see Archives is another home town appearance at Metal 2 the Masses on the 28th of Feb in Voodoo Belfast so check that out if you can! I really enjoyed this episode and it's a great opener for another year of The Metal Cell Podcast. Please subscribe to the channel and support your local Metal Scene. In the world of ultra endurance, one thing I've come to realise is that no matter how much you're doing or how far you're going, there's always somebody doing more or going further. Logically then, there must be a person who is doing the most and going the furthest, and it's quite possible that this person is my guest on today's podcast, Adam Holland. We recorded this episode on a Monday, the day after he had completed a 24 hour ultra marathon. I've done a couple of these in the past, and I can tell you I was good for nothing for more than a few days! This particular ultra marathon - which he won with over 118 miles of running - was preceded by cycling over 500 miles as a part of another challenge. He's run over 1000 miles in 28 days, he holds the Guinness World Record for the fastest half marathon on a treadmill, and also the record for the fastest average time for 10 marathons in 10 consecutive days. And he does all this whilst holding down a full time job and raising a family. In our conversation we talk about motivation, comparing ourselves to others, how 10 back to back marathons becomes ‘easy' after you've done it a few times, and how you would even start preparing for the next challenge he has his sights set on… which will be bigger than anything he's done before, if you can imagine that such a thing exists! You can find more inspiration from Adam over at his Facebook page.

The Project EGG Show: Entrepreneurs Gathering for Growth | Conversations That Change The World
Businesses, whether just opening their doors or hundreds of years old, all have at least one thing in common - they need new customers to keep growing and expanding. In this interview, Adam Holland, Owner of Adam Holland Marketing, shares his journey as an entrepreneur making millions as a lead generation expert. Adam Holland is a serial entrepreneur that has had his hands in many industries such as: small business and internet marketing consulting, internet marketing training, lead generation, affiliate marketing, and more. He is also an accomplished author and speaker. Adam Holland's educational background was in engineering, while his initial work experience was in sales engineering. Yea, it IS weird to be able to find an engineer that can communicate. Like many other people, he found himself unemployed at the start of the recession in 2008. Instead of trying to get back into the job market, he used this opportunity to pursue his dream of owning his own business. He has since become a full time internet entrepreneur and is inspiring and empowering others to do the same through his company AdamHollandMarketing.com. Holland has created over 20 internet marketing training courses and programs, has personally coached dozens of his top students, and has been featured in several industry trade publications. Adam currently resides in Phoenix, AZ with his wife, 2 children, and dog. He's generated over 8 million dollars in revenue, over 6 million visitors, and over 500,000 leads for him and his clients. He currently resides outside of Phoenix, AZ with his wife and 2 kids. By focusing on acts of service and helping others, we can all achieve our dreams through whichever vehicle we decide to pursue them through. Adam Holland is a conversion specialist. He helps marketers develop winning marketing campaigns in the home based business market. Adam messaged me saying he spotted a trend where no matter the offer or the traffic source, marketers struggle to make sales. And he said he knew why. What he shared was so profound... so dead on accurate... I had to get him on the show to share this with you.

This episode isn't meant to be fully of hype and power……but this is how my business partner Jason Legaard and I have come to Invest In Others. There are times when people shoot for our time…..and I've done the same towards others…..but the question is, “Have I offered any value myself to deserve even a short amount of their time?” Find out how Jason and I have been able to get high leaders such as Ray Higdon, Brenda Gagne, Justin Glover, Adam Holland, Diane Hochman…..and several other individuals to contribute to a product that we were creating. Not only did they contribute a personal quote….they attached their names to a product that had yet to be created……Climbing the Mindset Mountain!! Though we had not personally invested in each individual, we've made our presence known through introduction and participation online and at events. There comes a time where those who invest in you take precedence over those who haven't. Is that wrong? Why should it be? I'm not saying you don't give anyone your time for free…..what I'm saying is if you have priorities, and you've created something of value to offer the world….those who invest in you, follow your videos or posts and participate…they should be offered your time (within reason, of course). Because if you don't value your place in this world….your knowledge or expertise….why would you expect others to do the same? Now listen in…… ~~Eddie The post Invest In Others appeared first on .
Are you really "you" online? We asked around for stories of digital alter egos — secret identities that people maintain on the web and try to keep separate from their real life identities. And it turns out there are lots of reasons — some good, some nefarious, some maybe both — to have an alternate persona online. On this episode we share stories of Catfishers, sock puppets, and digital doppelgangers. So where are your brick walls in your life? Is it in the area of business productivity or maybe it's in your health and fitness? How many times have you wanted to move forward with some goal in life…and yet you just keep banging your head against that brick wall? Listen…I feel your pain BIG TIME on this challenge of life. So that's why I wanted to share how an example of how I am smashing to bits a brick wall in my life with a new morning routine. You see…off and on for years…my morning routine was completely non-existent. Nada. Zero. Nothing. So every morning I would hit the snooze button 7 times until I HAD to get up no matter what. That would leave me like 12 minutes to get dressed, brush teeth etc. and maybe…mabye…grab a quick crappy breakfast. Guess how that worked out? Like absolute crap. I would rush out the door feeling overwhelmed, highly stressed and tons of anxiety coursing through my veins. Oh yeah…rocking start to the day right? lol You see my brick wall was that I wasn't investing in myself first in the mornings. I would not dedicate the first hour or two upon waking up to me and what was good for my success. So listen in to how my new morning routine is setting the stage for progress and growth in many areas of life. Who knows..maybe you can adopt this same routine for yourself. Or at least it will inspire the fire within you to create your own. Mucho gracias to our buddy Adam Holland this weekend for helping inspire this episode by using this brick wall term. Definitely opened my eyes a bit wider not only with marketing, but overall lifestyle. So let's knock down some walls folks!!! BOOM! Gratitude is the Attitude that Gives Our Dreams Altitude!!!
