Email address: SHOW NOTES KEY IDEAS:  The Coronavirus has impacted agriculture in many different ways.  One of the most common that we are seeing throughout the U.S. is the cancellation of county and state fairs due to social distancing requirements.  This has a profound impact on our future farmers, both from the FFA and 4H. These students and members have invested capital, labor, time and feed into developing quality animals for the fair.  The payoff is normally the fair auction after the shows have taken place and the blue ribbons have been passed out.  However, this year there will be no auctions or ribbons for many of these young people. Ag Community Relief is a non-profit organization based on the concept of farmers helping farmers.  They are based in Michigan, and they got their start in 2017 by sending hay and fencing supplies to ranchers in Kansas and Oklahoma in the wake of the devastating Starbuck Fire.  Since that time they have grown, changed their name from The Michigan Convoy to Ag Community Relief and have taken on all sorts of efforts to help farmers around the nation. Ag Community Relief has partnered with DV Auction and Osborn Barr Paramore to provide an online auction for 4H and FFA members this year so that they can be recognized for their projects and recoup their investments. If your income was over $150,000 in 2018, but under in 2019 then file immediately. If your income was under $150,000 in 2018 but over in 2019 and you haven’t filed then wait to file. The stimulus checks that are coming are based on your AGI in 2018 or 2019 if you have already filed.  Those stimulus checks will be $1200 per adult and $500 for each dependent child. If you filed jointly the income threshold is $150,000. The stimulus checks will be directly deposited into the bank account in which you received your 2018 return. Let’s hope that it’s still open! How a retiree can put their stimulus check to good use If you are losing sleep at night about the stock market then take this money and put it where it is needed most -- put it in a savings account, checking account, or stash the cash under the mattress. Do whatever will help you sleep at night. If you aren’t having trouble sleeping and you know where your income is coming from, think about making a Roth IRA contribution. If you have the stomach for it and don’t need it for a while, consider using that check for long-term investments. My first viewing review of Star Wars Episode 9 The Rise of Skywalker. Context: I went to AMC Hawthorn 12 Theatre for the 5AM CDT showtime. I just finished watching season 4 of The Expanse via Amazon around 3:30 AM CDT prior. How many of us grew up in households where we were told what we were? The decision to be either a Democrat or Republican was already made just as the one to be affiliated with a church or religion. We were not allowed to change the “way things are” and it remained that way until one day we had an awakening. By the grace of God our eyes were opened into new realms to see things we were not shown at home. We discovered we were individuals with a mind to choose what we wanted to be and who we should become. For some of us it was met with great opposition given no one in our family had done this before. So, it is with Party affiliations.  Democrat or Republican was forced in front of us as if it was a badge of honor to be one or the other. And, if we did not choose the “right” one we would be forever banned from the family table! These two parties continue to have somewhat of an appetite for verbal pain. They tend to enjoy the division of the country as if it is an NFL competition. They seem to have forgotten America is One Nation Under God.  The venom spewed over the airways and online consistently keeps our nation in an unstable political stance. The message today is not complete; however, it is one that will make you stop and think seriously about who you are and how did you get there as a Democrat or Republican.
