Pastoral Chat: I'm not doing a traditional daily study. Instead, I want to share some thoughts about the purpose behind studying the Word every day. Daily study helps us think like God, and the more we think like Him, the better we handle life's situations—especially when we can relate them to things we've seen in scripture. When God called me to start Church for Entrepreneurs in 2014, the focus wasn't on teaching the mechanics of entrepreneurship, but on helping entrepreneurs grow their faith through the Bible. For the past 10 years, I've been podcasting daily, but as God expands CFE it's been harder to create new studies regularly. That's why I feel led in 2025 to build a digital library of nearly 400 past messages so you can study based on what God is prompting in your heart each day. We're at a stage in our walk where we need to be more Spirit-led in our personal studies. Tax season is finally over—and now it's time to take stock, compare notes, and rethink how to run your practice smarter, not harder. In this episode of the Tax Rep Network Podcast, host Eric Green is joined by the unstoppable Dawn Brolin, CPA, CFE, for a raw and revealing post-season debrief that every tax professional needs to hear. What started as a casual catch-up quickly turned into a masterclass in firm automation, client management, and how to make tax season less chaotic—and way more profitable - by implementing Ignition. Dawn breaks down how she completely transformed her practice by requiring engagement letters and full prepayment before a single return goes out the door. From raising prices after January 31st to revoking unsigned engagements, she shares how setting boundaries with clients turned her firm into a cashflow machine—dropping $40K/month into her account on autopilot.Eric shares his own lessons from managing hundreds of open IRS representation matters and the moment he knew it was time to stop chasing payments and start using Ignition to get organized, get paid, and get peace of mind. Together, they highlight how implementing Ignition streamlined client onboarding, automated follow-ups, and eliminated the dreaded “double consult” by embedding personalized videos into engagement letters. From leveraging subscription pricing to firing problematic 1040 clients with grace, Dawn and Eric unpack the mindset shift that helped them reclaim their time and build practices that run smoother, serve better clients, and make more money. You'll hear real-life examples, laugh-out-loud client stories (like charging extra for removing staples!), and the powerful idea that if you're doing high-value work, you should absolutely be charging for it.Whether you're a CPA, EA, attorney, bookkeeper, or anyone else working in the tax world, this episode is a wake-up call: you are not a charity, and your time is too valuable to give away. Now is the time to set up systems, raise your prices, and stop doing everything manually. If you're tired of the billing chaos, constant follow-ups, and late-night April 15th scrambles, this episode will inspire you to make a change that could permanently improve your practice—and your life.

On Wednesday, we had a great open forum at CFE, discussing current events in America, particularly the unprecedented actions of President Trump and the anxiety they are causing for some members. We had a meaningful conversation about navigating these times and reflected on how this season resembles some of the signs mentioned in the New Testament regarding the return of Christ. While I'm not saying Christ is coming back tomorrow, certain prophesied events seem to be unfolding, giving this time a significant spiritual atmosphere. During our discussion, we reassured everyone to stay calm and remember that God is with us. Even though this year may be chaotic, it is still the Year of Believe—Believe 2025, where we continue to trust in God's promises for our lives and remain in faith regardless of what is happening around us. This Sunday, we have our next online service, where we'll explore the topic: "Should You Judge Other Believers?" If so, when is it appropriate, and when is it not? Right now, within the body of Christ, social media has become a battleground of judgment, with believers criticizing one another over doctrinal differences. This has caused confusion, division, and hurt feelings, with videos circulating back and forth. We will turn to scripture to determine whether this behavior is appropriate and gain a biblical understanding of how we should approach these issues. Looking ahead, our next in-person gathering in Atlanta will be on March 15th at 10 a.m. EST. If you're in the area, I look forward to seeing you. If you live elsewhere, consider making the trip. These gatherings take place on the third Saturday of each month, so I hope to see you at one in the future. In other news, we successfully launched at least one CFE group last week, and today I received an email from another couple interested in starting one. I'm excited to see these groups growing. If you're ready to start a group, let me know. I plan to create a sign-up sheet soon so people can register their groups. These are your groups, but CFE is here to help facilitate their development. You can use the CFE name along with your city or location and access our technology for organization. I believe every CFE member should lead a group of believers. One of our greatest responsibilities as the body of Christ is to make disciples. The best way to do this is by gathering together, studying the Word, fellowshipping, and supporting one another. Discipleship happens when believers spend time together. If the Holy Spirit is leading you to partner financially with CFE, your support enables me to dedicate time to leading this ministry and helps sustain the technology needed for a global reach. As our partnerships grow, we will pursue additional initiatives God has placed on my heart. If you're already a partner—thank you! If you'd like to join in or sow an additional seed, pray about it. If CFE has been a blessing to you and you want to help it bless others through partnership, visit https://churchforentrepreneurs.com/partner. Be blessed, and I'll see you Sunday for our online service!

Ministry Update On this week's ministry update, I don't have much to share. Everything is moving as planned and progressing nicely. I'm recording this update the night before our next gathering in Atlanta. Every third Saturday, we gather in Atlanta for our CFE monthly gatherings. These gatherings are designed not just for those who live in Atlanta but for anyone worldwide who is part of CFE. Tomorrow's message—or today, depending on when you listen to this update—will focus on what I got wrong in marriage and the lessons God showed me on how to fix it. This message won't just be from me. My wife will be sharing alongside me, and a few other couples will also share their experiences. My goal for these gatherings, particularly regarding the message, is to keep them conversational, engaging, and interactive. I want others to share insights and actively participate in teaching during this segment. These third-Saturday gatherings in Atlanta will feature a lot of team teaching. Ministry Updates Today, Saturday Feb 8, 2025, I'm speaking a Singles Valentine's event for one of our CFE members. They're hosting the event here in Atlanta, so my wife and I will be ministering on relationships to the singles. Tomorrow, for Sunday service, I'll be ministering on biblical giving from a New Testament perspective. There's a lot of misunderstanding about what giving looks like and what it means to honor God with your money. I feel led to bring some clarification on this topic from a New Testament standpoint. Next Saturday, Feb 15, 2025, is our first gathering in Atlanta. This gathering is not just for CFE members in Atlanta but for our entire CFE family. It marks the start of our monthly gatherings, which will take place every third Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. If you live in Atlanta, I look forward to seeing you next Saturday. If you don't live in Atlanta, I would love to see you at one of these gatherings whenever your schedule permits. I see this as a time of worship, Word, and fellowship—an opportunity for the CFE family to connect more frequently. For those who can make it, I look forward to seeing you on the third Saturday of the month. A major goal of CFE is to equip people to lead discipleship groups in their local communities. These groups consist of believers who disciple one another through study, fellowship, and service. If you feel God prompting you to lead a group in your area, listen to this training. Partner with Us: https://churchforentrepreneurs.com/partner Connect with Us: https://churchforentrepreneurs.com
Weekly Ministry Update This week, I want to share two important ministry updates. First, we had a discipleship group leader training last night. About 25 people joined us as we went through the scriptural foundation for starting CFE discipleship groups and the structure for these groups. The training went really well, and I'm excited to see the new discipleship groups that will emerge from these leaders. If you missed the training, a replay will be available. Simply listen to the replay, go through our discipleship manual, start Faith Leaders Ministry School, and you can start a group as soon as the next day. You don't need 10 hours or 10 weeks of training—just follow the Holy Spirit's leading and get started when He prompts you. We are here to support you, so be sure to watch the replay to understand the heart behind what we're doing. The second update is about the Atlanta gatherings, which will take place every third Saturday of the month. This has been on my heart for a long time, but I hesitated to move forward. After closing the Atlanta church last September, I wasn't sure if I wanted to commit to a regular monthly meeting. However, the Holy Spirit kept leading me back to it, and I now feel strongly that this is something I need to do. These gatherings are for both local and out-of-town members. Whether you live in Atlanta, Philadelphia, London, or anywhere else, think of it as 12 opportunities each year to visit Atlanta and connect with other CFE family members from around the world. If you plan to attend a particular month, let me know so I can prepare to welcome you. The first gathering will be on Saturday, February 15, from 10 AM to 1 PM Eastern Standard Time. These three-hour meetings will provide plenty of time for fellowship, studying the Word, and building relationships. Since we only meet once a month, it's a great opportunity to slow down, connect, and grow together. That's what's on my heart for this week's update. The discipleship group leader training was a success, and I look forward to seeing new groups launch worldwide. Also, the Atlanta gatherings are now in place, and we will be meeting at the Propel Center, the same location where we held the Clarity Experience. The pastor there has generously offered us the space for our meetings. If you feel led to partner with CFE, click here: https://churchforentrepreneurs.com/partner Your partnership helps sustain this ministry by covering the time and resources needed to operate. I am grateful for our current partners, and if this ministry has blessed you, I encourage you to pray about supporting it so we can continue to serve others. Partnership makes it possible for us to offer our services and content for free. The reason we can do this is because of the generosity of those who contribute financially. Partners are the driving force that enables Church for Entrepreneurs to fulfill its mission. Be blessed, and I'll talk to you soon.
Hey, CFE family! In this week's ministry update, I want to focus on the importance of monthly discipleship meetings. I encourage every member of CFE to join a discipleship group that meets at least once a month in their local area. These groups don't have to be large—three to five people is enough. The goal is to gather with fellow believers in your community to study the Word and fellowship together. This practice reflects how the early church grew and matured spiritually. Their growth wasn't dependent on large Sunday services with thousands in attendance. Instead, they met regularly in small groups, studying the Word, praying, and building each other up through close fellowship. This year, I encourage all of us, myself included, to prioritize meeting with local believers at least once a month. These gatherings don't need to be complicated. They can take place in someone's home, at a coffee shop, or anywhere you can connect, open the Word, and fellowship together. To support this effort, I will host discipleship training on Friday for those interested in leading these groups. My goal is to provide leaders with the tools they need, including content and practical guidance, to facilitate meaningful discussions. I am passionate about this initiative because I believe close fellowship is vital for spiritual growth. Ministry is more than attending services—it's about fostering real, personal connections in your local community. While CFE is a global ministry with many digital offerings, God has placed it on my heart to emphasize that we are not just a digital ministry. We are a ministry with both digital and physical components, and one key physical component is gathering monthly for discipleship meetings.
