Sia Biden, sia il Segretario di Stato Antony Blinken, infatti, hanno dato l'autorizzazione all'esposizione della bandiera arcobaleno in tutte le ambasciate del Paese sparse nel mondo. Sugli edifici ora ci saranno due bandiere, quella a stelle e strisce e quella arcobaleno.Secondo le direttive, la bandiera dell' "orgoglio LGBTQI" ora sventolerà come quella americana, un segnale chiaro, dunque, della doppia identità nazionale degli Usa. Trump, in precedenza, invece, aveva vietato la bandiera del Pride nelle ambasciate statunitensi. Nella nota agli ambasciatori, Blinken ha ricordato alle ambasciate che possono issare e far sventolare la bandiera arcobaleno dai giorni precedenti il 17 maggio e per tutto giugno.Una decisione che promuove la giornata internazionale contro l'omofobia, la transfobia e la bifobia e il mese dell'orgoglio LGBTQI. Secondo il New York Times, l'autorizzazione a sventolare le bandiere Pride non è un ordine perentorio, ma - pur essendo fortemente suggerito - si lascia al diplomatico la decisione finale per decidere a favore della scelta più appropriata, "alla luce delle condizioni locali". Facile immaginare che in taluni paesi arabi non verrà esposta per paura di proteste, mentre in tutti gli altri paesi vedremo bandieroni ergersi sui pinnacoli delle ambasciate Usa."Il presidente Biden crede che la forza dell'America si trovi nella sua diversità. L'America è più forte, a casa e nel mondo, quando è inclusiva", ha detto un portavoce di Stato. Spiccano tra queste 66 normative che vietano alle persone trans di gareggiare in competizioni riservate ad atleti o atlete non corrispondenti al loro sesso biologico e 35 leggi volte ad impedire che i minori si sottopongano a trattamenti per il «cambio» di sesso.Negli ultimi quattro mesi otto progetti di legge simili sono stati approvati in altrettanti stati e un'altra decina è in attesa dell'approvazione dei governatori, tutte norme che entrano in rotta di collisione con l'ordine esecutivo dell'amministrazione Biden chiamato Prevenzione e lotta alla discriminazione sulla base dell'identità di genere o dell'orientamento sessuale.Insomma Biden va in una direzione e gli Stati di cui lui è presidente vanno in un'altra.(Gender Watch News, 30 maggio 2021)PER USA TODAY MASCHIO È UNA PAROLA OFFENSIVAChelsea Mitchell, la più veloce atleta del Connecticut, perde sempre con due maschi che gareggiano con lei come trans: Terry Miller e Andraya Yearwood (nomi del dopo transizione). La Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference afferma: «gli studenti che si identificano come donne devono essere riconosciuti come donne. Fare diversamente non sarebbe solo discriminatorio, ma li priverebbe della significativa opportunità di partecipare ad attività educative, compresi gli sport scolastici, basati su stereotipi sessuali e pregiudizi che si cerca di prevenire col Titolo IX».La Mitchell non perde solo gare, ma anche borse di studio: «quando i college esaminano il mio record - scrive la ragazza - non vedono la ragazza più veloce del Connecticut, ma una seconda o terza classificata».L'atleta allora decide di scrivere a Usa Today lamentandosi che «i corridori maschi hanno enormi vantaggi fisici». Il giornale sostituisce al termine «maschi» quello di «transgender» aggiungendo: «Nota dell'editore: questa colonna è stata aggiornata per riflettere gli standard e le linee guida di stile di Usa Today. On International Transgender Day of Visibility the NWSL released its Policy on Transgender Athletes. The policy was billed by the league as inclusive, and the tweet announcing the policy even mentioned how the league wanted to 'celebrate' trans and non-binary 'friends and fans' – except the policy itself fails to mention non-binary athletes at all (even though one out non-binary player already plays in the NWSL). Unfortunately, that was just the tip of a very large and unnecessarily terrible iceberg. Episode Notes Andraya Yearwood is an award-winning track athlete. She’s also been challenged off the track, because she is a member of the transgender community. Some people don’t think it’s fair that she compete among cis-female runners. That her gender identity in this context presents an advantage that keeps other athletes from scholarships. Connecticut is one of 17 states that allow transgender high school athletes to compete based on their gender identity, and Yearwood has both thrived and paid a price for committing to the track. It’s a lot for a young person to deal with, and at the same time, there’s so much more to her than what goes on around her running shoes. Andraya Yearwood and Terry Miller, another Connecticut track star who is trans, were co-recipients of the 2019 Bob Casey Courage Award by the Connecticut Sports Writers' Alliance, and given the 2019 action award honorees at Athlete Ally’s annual awards night. This week Bob and Zaq have an open discussion on the controversial topic of transgender athletes participating in women's sports.  The topic has been in the headlines lately as biological female high school athlete Selina Soule has made her frustrations public.  Selina was eliminated from State competition by two transgender athletes, Terri Miller & Andraya Yearwood.  Terri and Andraya were both biologically born males, but identify as females.  Both sides have valid arguments, and Bob and Zaq attempt to open a fair discussion on the topic. In particolare don Imeneo era entrato in conflitto con il Sindaco Pd di Reggio Calabria Giuseppe Falcomatà.Il primo cittadino del Partito Democratico - colpito nei giorni scorsi dalla notizia dell'indagine per "disponibilità ad assecondare uno 'Ndranghetista" a carico del cognato Demetrio Naccari Carlizzi, ex vice presidente del Consiglio regionale e assessore regionale, uomo forte dell'area renziana calabrese - era finito nella bufera per avere sostenuto il Pride 2019, sfilando con i gay, le lesbiche, i transgender e altri manifestanti.Mentre nelle scorse settimane molti vescovi italiani hanno preferito soprassedere alle iniziative dei Pride, organizzati in tutto il mese di Giugno nelle loro diocesi, o al massimo hanno rilasciato dichiarazioni ambigue ma si sono rifiutati di appoggiare le preghiere di riparazione portate avanti da diversi gruppi cattolici, la Curia reggina non ha avuto paura ad attaccare Giuseppe Falcomatà.Attraverso un pezzo dello stesso direttore e consigliere nazionale della Federazione italiana dei Settimanali cattolici don Imeneo, Falcomatà è stato accusato di avere usato a sproposito, commentando la sua partecipazione al Pride sui social, uno slogan di un noto prete reggino ("nessuno escluso, mai", riferito dal sacerdote ai "pazzi" che, negli anni '80, liberò dai manicomi).Don Imeneo ha accusato Falcomatà di avere "una doppia morale sui diritti" (rilevando che il Sindaco di Reggio Calabria aveva attaccato l'iniziativa pro famiglia naturale portata avanti attraverso il cosiddetto "Bus della Famiglia") e lo ha sfidato a rispondere a due domande.La prima verteva sulle intenzioni politiche del Sindaco: "può dirci pubblicamente se sostiene anche le posizioni più progressive dei soggetti promotori che sfilavano accanto a lei, quali l'adozione e l'affido dei figli alle coppie omosessuali?" .Rilevando che lo stesso sindaco, gli assessori e i consiglieri comunali, ripetutamente, si sono dichiarati cattolici, la seconda domanda chiedeva perché i diritti non hanno lo stesso peso. Don Imeneo, infatti, ha accusato il sindaco reggino di avere fatto sua l'agenda Lgbt e di avere escluso dalle priorità dell'Amministrazione reggina le vere emergenze, come la fuga dei giovani dalla città, che sta provocando una emorragia demografica, la situazione sociale dei papà divorziati, i genitori costretti a emigrare dalla Calabria per potere fare studiare i figli, il disagio abitativo che molte famiglie reggine vivono e la mancanza di aiuti alle famiglie numerose, dimenticati dall'amministrazione Pd.Sentito da Il Giornale, il portavoce dell'arcidiocesi di Reggio Calabria-Bova don Imeneo ha spiegato che l'intento dell'Arcidiocesi era quello di "smascherare la doppia morale della politica, che strumentalizza i Pride ma che, alla prova dei fatti, è carente sul fronte dei diritti, di tutti i diritti. Ovviamente L'Avvenire di Calabria proseguirà indisturbato le proprie inchieste, la prepotenza non può spegnere la voce di chi è chiamato a raccontare la verità". Don Imeneo si è lamentato anche della manipolazione del richiamo al Sindaco operata dal portale Gaynews.it. "Oltre a omettere alcune parti dell'articolo, ha voluto attaccarmi direttamente", scatenando "commenti recanti gravi offese personali nei miei confronti".Intanto, il Vice Presidente (Gianluca Orefice) e tre Consiglieri del Comitato Arcigay "I Due Mari" (Giorgia Garreffa, Silvio Nocera, Valeria Cucèi) di Reggio Calabria, non riconoscendosi più nella linea politica che ha imboccato il comitato, e non condividendone più strategie e metodi, si sono dimessi dai loro incarichi.Nota di BastaBugie: ecco altre notizie dal "gaio" mondo gay (sempre meno gaio).BABY TRANS E MEDICI SOTTO RICATTOMarcus Evans, ex direttore del Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, clinica inglese che si occupa di disforia di genere sui minori, ha affermato che molti suoi colleghi sono costretti ad intraprendere per i bambini e ragazzi il percorso di rettificazione sessuale a base di ormoni per non passare per transfobici.Evans ha dichiarato: "Credo che l'agenda politica pro-trans abbia invaso l'ambiente clinico e sia penetrato all'interno del Gender Identity Development Service (GIDS) [il dipartimento del Tavistock che si occupa di disforia di genere]. I giovani hanno bisogno di un servizio clinico indipendente che abbia a cuore gli interessi a lungo termine del paziente. In una certa misura, ciò richiede la capacità di resistere alla pressione proveniente da vari ambienti: dai giovani stessi, dalla loro famiglia, [...] dai social network e dai gruppi pro-trans altamente politicizzati".Inoltre Evans ha messo in evidenza che il "cambiamento di sesso" pare l'unica soluzione ai disturbi legati all'identità sessuale psicologica offerta da questa clinica: "Tutti i genitori hanno espresso preoccupazione per il fatto che, dopo che i loro figli hanno improvvisamente annunciato di pensare di vivere nel sesso sbagliato, gli operatori hanno immediatamente appoggiato la tesi che questa fosse la causa dell'angoscia del bambino, piuttosto che offrire tempo per esplorare dal punto di vista psicologico lo sviluppo del problema".Il numero di bambini che è passato al GIDS è cresciuto enormemente negli ultimi anni. Da 468 nel 2013 a 2.519 nel 2018. Da aggiungere che, oltre al fatto che il "cambiamento di sesso" non è eticamente accettabile, nella quasi totalità dei casi i problemi legati alla disforia di genere nell'età prepuberale o puberale si risolvono da sé. Negli altri casi è sufficiente l'accompagnamento psicologico perché sia la mente ad armonizzarsi al dato corporeo e non viceversa.(Gender Watch News, 29 luglio 2019)DUE MASCHI IN TESTA ALLA CLASSIFICA DELLE RAGAZZELe cose più incredibili stanno accadendo, ci scorrono sopra e nessuno che le chiami col loro nome: ingiuste follie. Due corridori maschi provenienti dal Connecticut continuano a dominare le classifiche nella competizione per le ragazze delle scuole superiori degli Stati americani. Avete letto bene, due maschi sono in testa alla classifica delle ragazze!Terry Miller e Andraya Yearwood sono juniores delle superiori, entrambi sono maschi biologici che si identificano come femmine transgender. E, secondo un rapporto dell'Associated Press, hanno conquistato il primo e il secondo posto nei recenti campionati open track indoor delle scuole del Connecticut tenutosi il 16 febbraio. Una delle concorrenti femmine, la liceale Selina Soule, ha fatto dichiarazioni di fuoco sull'accaduto, dicendo che non è giusto che le femmine debbano competere contro i maschi nella stessa gara. La Soule ha saltato le qualifiche per le gare regionali del New England solo per avere perso due punti nella classifica finale. «Conosciamo tutti l'esito della gara prima ancora che inizi; è demoralizzante», ha dichiarato la Soule, che non vuole discriminarli, ma «l'atletica ha sempre avuto regole per mantenere la competizione giusta».Miller è attualmente classificato come il terzo miglior corridore del Paese nelle gare cronometro dei 55 metri delle ragazze, invece Yearwood avrebbe il settimo miglior tempo nazionale. Miller ha sostenuto in una recente intervista che le ragazze femmine dovrebbero semplicemente scegliere di lavorare di più, piuttosto che lamentarsi dell'ingiustizia, quando devono affrontare la competizione contro atleti di sesso maschile che si identificano come transgender. Identica l'opinione dell'altro atleta maschio dichiaratosi femmina, secondo il quale i suoi sono "vantaggi" che altri atleti «potrebbero avere dal perfezionare la propria forma o fare sessioni di allenamento extra». Il Connecticut è uno dei 17 Stati che consentono agli atleti transgender di competere senza restrizioni nelle gare femminili.Altri Stati non hanno alcuna politica ufficiale o gestiscono tali problemi caso per caso. Nei giorni scorsi l'ex regina del tennis mondiale, Martina Navratilova, è stata oggetto di attacchi da parte dei gruppi Lgbt per aver scritto sul Sunday Times che è da folli, un «imbroglio», questa pratica e tipo di competizioni aperte ai trans nel campo femminile. Condividiamo, ancora in Italia non c'è una grande spinta per la promozione del transgenderismo, come invece in Uk, Usa, Canada, ma nessuno pensi che ci sia Paese immune a questa idea per la quale, anche nello sport, vedremo le femmine umiliate e bistrattate. Gli ideatori di questa serie hanno pensato bene di inserire due personaggi omosessuali, la zia Holiday e zia Lofty che hanno fatto la loro comparsa sugli schermi italiani il 21 maggio scorso, precisamente sul canale Cartoonito.

Podcast Episode 4: The Attack on Nonconformity in Athletics Pt. 1 (The Rant) *Explicit Language* I’m very excited to get into this episode because I’ve always wanted to unpack human variance especially how it shows up in relation to gender identity/expression. Visible differences in the human expression often cause people to be othered, discriminated against, pathologized, brutalized etc. Right now we are seeing the attack on human variance & non conformity in the world of women’s sports which is racist, sexist, transphobic and an overall gross violation of human rights. In particular this episode will highlight the stories of Caster Semenya & JayCee Cooper. Both Caster & JayCee have been thrusted into the spotlight and are helping to undo so dreadful policies that limit certain bodies (in particular trans and gender non conforming folks) from competing as their true selves in women’s sports. **Update** As of June 3, 2019 the Swiss Court temporarily suspends new IAAF rules per Caster Semenya's legal team. Therefore, Caster will not need to take testosterone-reducing medication to compete. Caster Semenya: is a South African Olympic track runner and two time gold medalist in the 800 meter. The Court of Arbitration for Sport upheld a regulation that will require some female track athletes with naturally-elevated testosterone levels to lower those levels with drugs or surgery, if they want to compete in certain women's events on the international stage. JayCee Cooper:  is a USA Powerlifter who was banned from competing in the Olympic Women’s Division because she identifies as a trans woman. If you are good at the sport it is your athleticism which has nothing to do with the other athlete of their identity. **Why the mere existence of transwomen creates so much fear in society. **The conflation of body parts and gender **Sexist notion: that anyone assigned male at birth will automatically beat anyone assigned female at birth. **This informs how we discuss trans athletes, intersex athletes and women in general. **Testosterone not the “male sex hormone,” nor is it the key to athletic performance. **There is no such thing as *looking* transgender. **High profile female athletes (like Martina Navratilova) weaponize that notion and if gives more credence to the notion in the first place. "Andraya Yearwood hears the comments, usually from adults and usually not to her face. She shouldn't be running, they say, not against girls. Yearwood, a 17-year-old junior at Cromwell High School, is one of two transgender high school sprinters in Connecticut, transitioning to female. She recently finished second in the 55-meter dash at the state open indoor track championships. The winner, Terry Miller of Bloomfield High, is also transgender and set a girls state indoor record of 6.95 seconds. Yearwood finished in 7.01 seconds and the third-place competitor, who is not transgender, finished in 7.23 seconds. Miller and Yearwood also topped the 100-meter state outdoor championships last year, and Miller won the 300 indoors this season. Critics say their gender identity amounts to an unfair advantage, expressing a familiar argument in a complex debate for transgender athletes as they break barriers across sports around the world from high school to the pros. "I have learned a lot about myself and about other people through this transition. I always try to focus most on all of the positive encouragement that I have received from family, friends, and supporters," Yearwood said. "I use the negativity to fuel myself to run faster."
