Back in 1855, Pembroke and Petawawa residents would look forward to receiving their daily copy of the Pembroke Daily Observer...until it was announced that the publication would be discontinued in 2018. However, the Daily Observer became the Pembroke Observer, dropping down to a weekly paper, and like all journalists and reporters in print media, they saw how things shifted and the sharing of news progressed to online and social media and saw more newspapers in recycling bins instead of on coffee tables. They share stories of how the forums and episodes helped make them better archers and bowhunters. They walk through how the show started, the slew of hosts, how Tim ended up purchasing the show and how Carrie Zylka became the final show host. ___________________________________________________________________ “Bowcast, is the archery podcast with the new school archer in mind. Glendale, Arizona-born, Florida raised singer/songwriter Anthony Dixon has worked with many musical greats during his young career, and that training has prepared him for his own ascension as a solo singer. Dixon began singing as a child at the Southern Pentecostal church in which his family belonged. It was much later that he made a name for himself in musical circles with his emotive, theatrical tenor voice, working in support of artists such as Diana Ross, Jennifer Holliday, Cissy Houston and Melba Moore. He also fashioned a career in musical theatre, appearing in the revival of the musical Purlie with Moore as well as in stage productions of Chess and Ain't Misbehaving. In 2012 Dixon teamed up with Bobby D'Ambrosio and created a timeless classic with the remake of Sherrick's "Just Call".
