Gerry Did It!: Gerry Hemming and the Assassination of JFK - Mr. Alan Jules WebermanMr. Alan Jules Weberman Gerry Patrick Hemming invented Oswald. He first met him at Subic Bay when they were both in the Marines and him and Oswald when Huk hunting together - sneaking off base a killing Philippine communist guerrillas. Having committed murders together Oswald trusted Hemming who introducted hi to Angleton who sent Oswald to the Soviet Union to give info needed to shoot down U-2 and sabotage Summit Talks. Oswald returned, a re-defector, a Hemming got the bright idea to use him in a plot to kill the President of the United States and blame it on Fidel Castro. He had Oswald doing all kinds of stuff prior to the assassination like shooting at his friend Walker, going to the Sportsdrome Range and more. He offered him twice what Oswald paid for his Mannlicher Carcano and had he bring it to the TSBD the day of the big event. I got to know Gerry Hemming and his family pretty well and believe me he was a piece of work. He was unpredictable. He served as a conscience for Frank Sturgis who was a psychopathic killer. Hemming wrote this incredible scenario, Oswald forms Fair Play for Cuba Committee, gets in a staged fight with anti-Castro types, goes to Mexico City to get a visa to travel to Cuba. If he had been granted the visa he would have just got back from Cuba before he did the hit and it would look like Fidel put him up to it. You got to understand that all these dudes knew Fidel and was part of his revolution only to find out he was a Communist and a traitor. Hemming was locked up by Castro. The named INTERPEN, his anti-Castro group is in Oswald's Address Book. Makej vole! na Forendors forendors.cz/trailrun.cz 149 Kč měsíčně (přístup ke všem epizodám), nebo 99 Kč za epizodu. Výše uvedeným příspěvkem mi pomůžete s provozem podcastu Makej vole! a dostanete za to mimo jiné přístup ke všem bonusovým epizodám podcastu MAKEJ VOLE!

On this podcast I speak with world-class leaders and doers about themselves and a variety of topics spanning Agile, Lean Innovation, Business, Leadership and much more – with actionable takeaways for you the listener. Ula Ojiaku So I have with me here Victor Nwadu, who is an agility strategist, Agile coach, everything-in-between, maestro. Victor, it's an honour to have you on the Agile Innovation Leaders Podcast. Thank you so much. Victor Nwadu Thank you, Ula, thank you for having me. Thank you. Ula Ojiaku So let, just tell us, Victor, about your background. What are the things that you've experienced, that have shaped you into who you are today and how you've ended up to where you are professionally? Victor Nwadu I mean, just cutting to the flow, I'm from Nigeria. I'm also, like all Nigerians, educated in Nigeria and then for some, you know, reason found myself here in the UK. If I wanted to pick on anything that has, you know, brought me to where I am and what has driven me to who I am today, I think it's just, it's my childhood, right. I was born to working class parents that, you know, Catholic people that worked hard for everything they've got. And as a Nigerian, you are told, it's instilled in you from a very young age, what the benefit of hard work is. Unfortunately, I was traumatised at the age of 13 by the death of my mum. So, and yeah, left with five siblings and my dad was broken by the course of events, but, you know, at that young age getting to where I am, having to, you know, do what I had to do to get to school and all that and still have these five siblings with me as well. Ula Ojiaku Because you're the first. Victor Nwadu Yes, I'm the first. You know how it is, especially when you're Igbo, right, you're expected to be strong and do it. Ula Ojiaku Di-Okpara (First Born) Victor Nwadu Di-Okpara, you say, that kind of thing, you know, so, yeah. But thank God for today and I find myself here today talking to powerful people like yourself. And I mean, I think that that has made me stronger, and I miss my mum terribly, but if I look back, to be honest with you, the course of events in one's life really defines, helps one define one's destiny. And that's how, you know, so I believe that what I went through in life has made me stronger, you know? So, yeah. I came to the UK, became an accountant, funnily enough, I did what we need to do. Then I find myself being a BA then a, after systems accounting, because I loved computers and all that, you know, then find myself doing, I don't know if you know what SAP is, so I did that for a while. Met a chap, a BA guy that I was doing his invoice, I saw how much was earning and I said, what, Jesus, I mean, tell me what to do, man. I then became a BA from that, then became, at that time, luckily, Scrum was just coming into the industry and, you know, we, I found myself doing something called an Agile BA, that's how I got into Agile. Then became a Scrum Master, became an Agile coach, and the rest is history. So that's basically it in a nutshell. Ula Ojiaku That's interesting, that you started off as an accountant and now you're an agile coach. I mean, I'm not throwing stones. I started off as an Electronic Engineer and I'm an agile coach, but yeah, it's all about, what I'm trying to also tell young people, including my children, that what you start off with doesn't necessarily mean that that's the career you're going to have for your whole life, you know, there is a whole lot of options, but it's just about starting somewhere. Victor Nwadu Especially now, I say the same thing to my kids, especially my son. You need to be in a state of mind where you need to adapt. A lot of paradigm shifts are happening underneath us and, you know, you need to be ready, and you need to be ready to go and adapt to the present circumstances. Otherwise, you know, and this is why we do what we do. Ula Ojiaku Yeah, and I think it starts with a mindset as well, you know, just having that Agile mindset, not to flog it, but agility starts first with the mind. What's your take on it? Because things are changing to be able to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing world. Victor Nwadu Exactly. I mean, so we are living in exciting times, like you know already, agility was born out of the times that we're living in. It all started with the internet and outsourcing and all that, the world becoming a small village and all that. Then, we then have this digital thing going on and the information age and that brought yourselves all sorts of fantastic things. Things are, because we are utilising and leveraging the power of technology, we find out that we don't need to do certain things. Unfortunately, some jobs have to go, but then new ones are coming in. So all these things started happening, and again, it's affecting generations right now. If you were Generation X like me, you would've seen at least three more generations in your time when these changes are happening. It's crazy. So we now have, how do we survive? You know, you survive by adapting. If you don't adapt, you become obsolete, extinct, and that has tailored it to the industry, and the way we work. And even now talking to you, I'm working from home, I have a home office, you know, and that makes it even more fantastic because I can work anywhere in the world. Right. So what it does now is that it creates a bigger competition, right, where anybody can apply for any job anywhere in the world. It also helps the earth, and I don't want to go into that working from home debate, but that's all these things that are happening are as the consequences of the various paradigm shifts that are happening. So we need to adapt, like you said, in the mind, our mind needs to be open to change. And we need to put ourself in a place where we leverage all the advantages of those changes for our own benefits and so yeah. Ula Ojiaku Well said Victor. I mean, I completely associate with what you've said so far and the changes that are happening, especially with technology. For example, the recent one that's making waves is like AI, you know, so we're now in, someone said we're in the knowledge, information age, but now it's something like augmented age. So it's not just about the information, but it's also about being able to leverage, you know, technology like AI to still do productive work. But it still ties back with being adaptable, being able to learn and unlearn, to remain creative because machines are not taking over anytime soon. Victor Nwadu They can't take over the creative aspect and we need to automate and become, the competitive edge now is about who does things quicker, who gets to the market quicker and who get to the customer quicker? Who satisfies the customer in terms of the value threshold. So yeah, that's what we are, you know, we're creative, but we'll still be the same, but if you don't have creative guys in your design and engineering design, or software design, you're still going to fall back into that obsolete group of people that don't change or are not changing as quickly as it should. So yeah, I agree totally with that. Yeah. Ula Ojiaku Thank you. I know we went off into a rabbit hole, but I did want to just take you a little bit back to what you said earlier when you were talking about the things that happened to you that shaped you into who you are. And you mentioned your mum's death at 13, you know, I'm really sorry about that, and I can't imagine how tough it would be because my son just turned 13 and I can't imagine the difficulty it must be, well, you did say it must have been for you. You said events in one's life defines one's destiny. Can I, so my twist would be, because the same thing could happen to two different people and you have two different outcomes. So could there be something about how they react to it as well? Victor Nwadu Yeah, obviously. I mean, the way people react is the key, right. Yeah. So one person could react, have reacted, okay, fine. You hit the ground, I mean, you fall and you cry, and you get traumatised. Then you kind of rebuild yourself and stand up and keep going. And some people, it's just like a tough man's thing, right? It's a storming it and all that. So people stay in that trough, they never, some teams just stay there, they never rise above, you know, so some people, not because it's their fault, maybe their environment, maybe because resources that are not there to guide them, to help them stand up, you know? Yeah. We're not the same. So, yeah, I just happened to be who I'm hopefully strong enough to have been able to lead myself from that trough. Ula Ojiaku Well, you inspire me and I know that you are an inspiration to many other people as well, so thank you for sharing your story. So you did put together this model, agile culture model A.P.I.A.M-R.A.T.S. Can you tell us a bit about that? Victor Nwadu Actually, I have a little of pause on that. So it's something that, you know, that's been on my mind, the pet project, purely because, you know, some people are saying, are you trying to create another agile, and no, it's not. It's just like a clarion call to people that are coming to Africa and the Middle East to engage in a transformation process. We're looking at the way Agile is, when the forefathers of agile went to Utah to dream up this fantastic thing. I'm sorry, they were not thinking about Africa, they were thinking from their own Western perspective, right. And then we Africans, Agilists and change leaders from Africa, we know that things we've learned from what the manifesto and the principles have taught us, are not that straightforward in from where we come from. So it manifests itself with many of my colleagues in the West that have gone to Africa and met these challenges and have complained. And I say, yes, it's because we are totally different, mindset is different, the Western mindset is totally different. So I've kind of modelled it more to Africa and the Middle East, and mainly to Nigeria and South Africa because that's where I got most of my data from. And it's A.P.I.A.M-R.A.T.S it's actually Agile Practice in Africa and the Middle East. Okay. And the R.A.T.S, I get lots of stick from my friends, the R.A.T.S is just when I kind of listed out the main things, main factors, some of them not that bad, some of them, the bad ones, it just, the best way I could figure it out to make, to create a soundbite was, it came out as R.A.T.S. So you have your religious intrusion, the R is religious intrusion, the A is an age respect paradox, and the T, obviously time. The other one is secrecy cults, and the fifth one, which I've added on later on was language, the leverage language and that kind of stuff, right? So the religious one is the effect of religion in the way we work. If you go to any African or if you go to Nigeria today now, you will see, say for example, people doing their standup. The standup, daily standup is, that's supposed to take an average of 15 minutes. They will give an average of five minutes for prayers and, you know, the way we pray, evangelistic sometimes things more than that. And imagine a Muslim guy in that scene. You know, imagine a Western guy, a Western agile coach and like woah, really? You know, so you have that aspect of it. You also have the age respect paradox. So it's a paradox because yes, while people in the West understand age and respect, in Africa and in the Middle East we take it up a notch or two. You know, where sometimes actually the negative aspect is that somebody that is older than you now thinks because he's older, you cannot allocate well as part of a member of the team, you feel, oh, it's an insult for you to tell them what to do, which is wrong and very crude, but it happens, it happens. So we have that and we also have the African Time, so it's not fair to call it African because the French do it. It's not labelled an such connotative when the French do it… Ula Ojiaku I've been to different countries. They do it. I'm not going to name it, name them. Victor Nwadu Yeah. So, exactly. So the way it's been made to feel as if some kind of, like we, Nigerians and Africans started it. I don't really like it, but, you know, that has become something that of note and something that has kind of embedded itself in our culture and our behaviours. Yes, the French do it, but is in social circles, however, we've kind of brought it into professional, our professional lives, where we lack that discipline for some reason of keeping exactly to time. And that itself, obviously as you and I know, has an effect on cost of delay and all that kind of stuff. Ula Ojiaku And morale as well. Victor Nwadu The fourth one is secrecy cult. For some reason, we don't share knowledge. And I'm happy, agile is, has brought the fact that we need, when we bring transformation into an organisation, part of it is making the organisation at the end of the day, a learning organisation, where we collaborate and collaboration means we have to share knowledge, we have to share, you know, for us to win. Okay? So, yes, so for some reason in Africa, that doesn't take place as much as we would love to see that. The last I've put there is language, so this one is very important for me because, and Sophie Oluwole that's one of the, she's late now, but she's one of the people that have kind of been evangelising the need for us Africans to get rid of the Western language, like English or French. We should start teaching our kids chemistry, maths and everything, the academic learning journeys should start with our local language. It's easier on the brain, it's less stressful, and they learn. Then we can learn English later on, or however, we shouldn't waste time to learn a foreign language, then start learning the basics of academia, right. So if you look at it, it's timeframe itself is a waste in terms of agile thinking, right? So for me, I brought it into an agile space because you find out that, I have worked across global teams, right? And when, as an agile coach, you give teams freedom to please, create and design within yourself with your local language. Only come to me when you, you know, when you need to, when you need me. And then you'll normally find a language champion that will do the translation or whatever. And so you find out that it's easy, the engagement is easier, and they're loving you for giving them that freedom. So I've been bringing it to Africa to be the way we work in Africa so that we as teams are, we don't become too stressed or thinking of how we sound when we speak English. When we are designing, we are talking about, and when we are in an agile space, we are talking about and discussing with our local language, we are free, and you find out the mind is less stressed. So these ideas just keep flowing, the brainstorming session is fantastic, lively, because you don't have to, oh, let me think of how I'm going to put, structure this, my idea in English before I have to speak, it just comes out, like it's easier. So I think we have more benefits if we trace ourselves back into our local language, especially if the team is regional and everybody there is speaking the same language. Ula Ojiaku I was going to get there, so it seemed like you read my mind. I was going to say, but what if the team, because in Nigeria there are over 200 languages or 200 ethnic groups, since we've started off with Nigeria, you know, what happens? Because you might still have to go to a shared common language. Victor Nwadu That's a very good question. So, but the thing is, like most African, especially in India, places like India and even in the Middle East, we have a kind of broken English, we have a local slang anyway, that's a kind of, it's mixed with English, like in Africa, Pidgin, we call it Pidgin, it's a mixture of Creole and Hausa, Wazobia, that kind of thing going on there with English, everybody already speaks that language. Why don't we use that? So that's a tie breaker anyway, that, why don't we use that, you know? So yeah. So, but basically, when you go to places like Enugu or Kaduna, you tend to be of that particular region. But if we have a thought person there that's from other place, let's use our local vernacular to break that ice in terms of the way we speak and communicate. So that's my answer to that. Ula Ojiaku Okay. And where you have someone, if there's only maybe one person who's not of the culture, not from that country, doesn't know it, where does inclusion come in here? Victor Nwadu It's highly unlikely, but however if it happens, because in the small village that we have now, the global village that we have, I normally would have a language champion, somebody that's, you know, you should be able to find some kind of, somebody within the, just like your Agile champion, the team. You find somebody that can translate, right? Otherwise, I've developed all sorts of apps right now, where you can use something as Google translates. So when you, when you want to give important meetings and you want to write, you just do the one in English, then translate it to their local language and just send it out. Everybody will understand and they'll come back to you. So, yeah. But it's very rare, very, very rare, to find a place where the English language and French has not touched on this planet, or Spanish. So when that happens, you just, we just use tools that, simple tools are available to us, Google translate, use an Agile champion to kind of leverage and that, kind of make that disability or handicap a non-existence or minimise the impact of it in the way we communicate. Ula Ojiaku On a slightly off tangent point in terms of languages, Mandarin is also like going up there,  you can't ignore that.  So what have you been working on lately as you've talked about the A.P.I.A.M-R.A.T.S model, why you came up with it and how, in a little way, how it could be used, but what else have you been working on lately that you'd like to share with the world? Victor Nwadu Apart from work and all that, I give a lot to my people. I have tried to empower a lot of people, so I've created this WakandAGILITY group where we, it's a global support thing where we kind of give masterclasses to people that are coming into the industries from masters and Agile coaches already there, but want to, you know, so I kind of hold these master classes for free actually, because, I am looking at the scope of how we can kind of create, make sure that as Africa develops and becomes more hungry, resource hungry, we have the resources on the ground to accommodate those requests, right? Ula Ojiaku So skilled manpower, you mean? Victor Nwadu Exactly. We don't have it. So, and now to train up, agile training is expensive. So that's my own way of giving back. But apart from that, I've been working with people, great people, great change analysts, internationally based people like, I don't know if you know her, Mary Laniyan, she's based in the UK and we have a lovely woman that did African something sometime ago that invited me to Lagos Abiodun Osoba. We also, in fact, I think we have somebody, her name is Anu Gopal, she's even a powerhouse in agile affairs, I think one of those, yeah. I also have Etopa Suley from Canada. You know, all these guys who come together in the last Agile 20 something, we came off with the whole government manifesto for Nigeria. That was our presentation, it's fantastic, right? It is there on the internet right now, so yeah, so it's people like this I'm working with, we came up with the manifesto for good governance for Nigeria and many other projects like that. So yeah, that's what I spend my time doing behind the scenes, apart from work and spending time with my family. Ula Ojiaku That's really awesome, and I'm sure some of the listeners would want to know more about it. So we'll make sure the links are in the chat. Do you still do run these sessions? Victor Nwadu Yes, I do. It's keeping with the requests. I have a lot of requests, and you know. Ula Ojiaku So there is a question I have for you with respect to transformation, because as an Agile coach, I would expect that you've been involved in a number of transformation efforts with organisations in involving leaders and teams. Can there be a sustainable transformation without vision or strategy? Victor Nwadu So, it's possible for you to have a transformation, well a transformation, it's possible for that to just happen once, right? So it's like a rider, you know, you are told to ride through one end of the Serengeti to the other with dangerous animals and valleys and all that. With a horse, no compass. And you don't have a compass, you have a map or maybe don't have a map, you just know just face there, you get to the end, right? And you don't have a compass. You don't know the health of the horse and you just got on that horse. And yet, it is probable that you may be able to get to the end. But how sustainable is that? That is why the word sustainable that you use is very important. How sustainable is that for us to now create some kind of tourist pamphlet for other people to come behind us to use? It's exactly the same way. So it's probably, it's very, very probable for you to run this kind of transformation rather than just win with one team or whatever, then where's the playbook for those coming behind you, if you want to kind of multiply that, accelerate it within the organisation. So that's why sustainability is important. You know, how sustainable is that? How can we we create a model, or a playbook for us to use as an organisation for our own peculiar transformation, right? That's why it's important for us to have vision. I mean, you know, we need to have a strategy, you know, so the vision itself, first of all is the what and the why we are doing it, and all that kind of stuff. Then the strategy, the Agile strategy is very important. The Agile strategy itself is the vision plus how we're going to do it. Under it, in a timeframe, and how we're going to fulfil the objective required to actualise that vision, right? And with regard to the scope, timeline, course and the organisational culture. So that's the strategy. We need to have all that. When you have that and you place it, and you can start to kind of base it under the kind of, your playbook of entry, the change itself and the exit, then you have something to go with, you know? So, yeah, that's basically how it works. You cannot have a sustainable transformation without a clear vision, without a realistic strategy that kind of makes sure that all these aspects of the scope itself, the objective, the goals, and then taking into consideration the culture I dealt with, you know, you cannot have a, what is known as transformation, a sustainable one without having a transformation strategy. So that's it. Ula Ojiaku You may have touched on this, but I'll say, just going back to your Serengeti Crossing analogy. I mean if you are crossing, or the person has been assigned a horse cross, that it's important to say why are we crossing the Serengeti? Because it might be that if you evaluate the why it might be better for you to stay where you are and don't put yourself and other people in danger and waste resources crossing, just for crossing's sake. Victor Nwadu Yeah. I mean, all these things will come in when we are laying out the strategy and, you know, we will have the vision, somebody comes, you know. I have to say transformation is sexy nowadays. So the metaphor is dealing with the, the Serengeti itself is the transformation, what we assume to be all the wahala inside the transformation. Ula Ojiaku What is wahala? Beause not everyone understands what wahala is? Victor Nwadu Wahala means all the troubles in life, all the challenges you meet in everything. So we need to first of all understand that nowadays transformation is sexy. Where many organisations, I heard a rumour that many leaders engaged in these big companies engaged transformation purely for the benefit of their PE ratio in the stock exchange. It's a rumour, I haven't confirmed it, but I don't know how to confirm it, but I do know that it's very sexy to say your organisation is carrying out its transformation. Everybody wants to be a saviour, that's what we're doing. So that is part of the big problem and the challenges that we face as change leaders in the transformation, because the success of the transformation depends on the leaders and the person at the top. How committed they are to it. So the commitment of that leader is tasked from the top. If they don't have the buy in, if they're not convinced about it, they're just doing it for show, when push comes to shove, and it will happen, the challenges will come and hit you. Cultural challenges, personality challenges, the ego of leaders or middle managers, and you'll hit them as you already know. How committed is the leader at the top to come down and say guys, and create that space for us to be able to make this transformation happen? Because as the ultimate impediment remover, that person should be able to have the time, to have the commitment to come down to the team level, to the whatever program level, whatever, and be able to remove that impediment for that to happen. So if this leader or sets of leaders or whoever is given the mandate to commission a transformation doesn't have total commitment or is not bought in, is not doing it for some show or for some reason, it's not going to work. Ula Ojiaku Very true. Do you have any anonymised stories of your experience in guiding organisations in enterprise agility or transformation journey. Because one thing you've said, you know, transformation is sexy, it's really a buzzword. And if you ask two people, and they could be in the same leadership team, you know, C-suite team, what is transformation? And they'll give you different answers. It's just a buzzword, which means different things to different people. But do you have any story underpinning, you know, what you have said about leadership being key? Victor Nwadu If I give you all the stories, you're not going to leave here, right. However, I want to make a few things very, very clear that just standing in most organisations, that starts their transformation journey with a few teams, as you would expect. When they succeed in that they then call it an enterprise wide transformation. Where you take a few teams to delivering some funky, sexy, innovative products, that is not enterprise wide transformation, that's not business transformation or business agility, right. It is you showing that, and delivering a particular product as quickly to the customer, whatever works using agile ways of working. So there's that misconception there, that's the number one misconception that people think, oh, when we succeed with a few teams, yeah, we have, no, we haven't, because you still need to scale it, you know, to the entire enterprise, to non-IT enterprise to both upstream and downstream and all that. It is when your organisation as a whole, no matter how tall it is, can have a transparent view of where everything is, when an organisation can adapt to news in the market very quickly, when an organisation can innovate, it has the people they have been enabled to, to have a different idea, different mindset towards failure and seeing failure as a learning bridge, all those kind of mindset things, but happening in very large scale so that the organisation becomes a learning organisation, everybody's learning, we have a lot of COPs (Community of Practices), you know, that's when you say a transformation has been successful, that's when you can actually say the organisation has transisted from a traditional stoic, siloed set up to where we have open collaboration, and the cultures, mindsets and the culture have been changed in that the mindset of people that lead and those that make things happen is one, and they have this adaptive way of behaving. When something happens in the market, nothing shocks them. Even when it does, you have some, I understand some people even have an anti-disruptive, you know, when you come up with an idea in your organisation and you go back and you go out to the market and sell it, you become disruptive, you disrupt the market. However, some organisations as well are having anti-disruption strategies. If somebody else comes, how quickly can we respond? So those are the kind of things that shows that organisation has actually transisted from those traditional ways of working to an agile way of working. However, the other aspect I want to draw to our attention is about timing, when we are thinking of transformation. So for me, my advice is first of all, number one, to get the top person involved in it. Timing is very, very important. You need to have time for this transformation, to start this transformation. The time when you start transformation is very important. You don't want to start it when you have disruption in the market, things will not happen normal way, and it's better for you to do transformation in peace time, what I call peace time, before some major disruption, so that you can leverage what you've learned from that transformation in that, when that disruption happens. Timing is very important when you're carrying out a major transformation in your organisation, okay? You need to have committed leaders, leaders that are really committed to the cause, they're not just doing it for show and leaders should be able to come down and do Gemba walks, and see that what is actually happening in the kitchen is what their executive information system is relayed to them, right? There needs to be complete transparency from the top to bottom. So that we are sure that what the developers and the guys creating all our products are doing is exactly tied to the revision and objective of the executive. So that's part of it. And for me it's common sensical things that we already know. However, when we have transparency, this transparency increases trust. And it needs to start with the leader, he needs to show transparency by example, right? So it increases trust, and trust enables organisation-wide collaboration, right? So when teams start collaborating, teams that were locked in silos start collaborating, we start seeing silo breaking, and when you start breaking the silo, you start seeing aggregates, paradigm shifts happening. And that is when you now then see that almighty cultural change emerge. So it comes from, and transparency, it comes from transparency leading to trust, and trust leading to collaboration that breaks down silos. And when that thing happens, you start having all this shift because we now trust each other. There are no more silos, then the cultural shift that people say is hard to do, it is, however, if you follow this, if you allow this thing to flow the way I just listed, it'll flow in its normal cadence, right, without having to have unnecessary, you know It's not easy to have a cultural, don't get me wrong, when we are as change analysts and change agents, it's not easy for cultural change. No matter where we are in the world, people don't like change as a result. However, it starts with common sensical things like the leader taking the first step, the leader coming into, sometimes when you have a Gemba walk, you come into a meeting and you, like, for example, in some recent, not recent, about two years ago, where the leader came into a meeting or for an impediment that had been there, so kind of a Scrum of Scrum meeting, that had been a feature type impediment, and had been there for quite a while. And he came in and after they've had the conversation, he just raised his hand and everybody was surprised to see him and just said, what is it? And he kind of listed back to him, you know, this impediment that I've been there for roughly about almost a month was dealt with within two days. That is one of the major advantages where you have the leader there, and you need to ask yourself a question, what was causing the impediment delay? The verification of the impediments and the delay of the action of impediments before the leader came in. Middle management, also cultural things, bureaucracy, my space, your space, so the person at the top comes in and slashes through. If you have leaders that are prepared to do that, that have the time to do that, transformation will take its normal course without unfortunate circumstances happening. Ula Ojiaku You've said a lot of things in this time and space and they make sense to me, but is it possible, because you said transformation is ideal when done in peace time. How can you, it's almost like saying you time the markets. Because there are other people, many organisations that have admitted, for example, the Covid, the pandemic accelerated their transformation per se. Victor Nwadu Accelerated, but many of them died. You know, yes we have unforeseen circumstances that you cannot help that, right? Aliens landing on the planet and disrupting the world, you cannot help that, right? But I was saying that if you are given a time to select, so it's better for you to do it now before any, covid is part of it, but you also have market disruptions as well, right? So the best time would be when you think just kind of stability, because it starts from a small team, then expand. So you want to make sure that team is not distracted by bigger factors that may be beyond the help, the beyond the reach of the remediating powers of the leaders in the organisations, right. So that's given, if you are given, you know, if you can help it. If you can't help it, start it as quickly as possible, but you know, it's better to have it started in peace time. Ula Ojiaku Awesome, thanks Victor. I can see that you are quite passionate about what you are saying. So what books have you recommended to people about this topic or anything else and why? Victor Nwadu I have many books. The main book, that for me has kind of created powerful insights in the way I do my work, the way I even see life. One of them, the top one is The Goal by Eliyahu M. Goldratt. Then the other one is Turn the…. Turn the Ship Around! by David Marquet. We'll put it in the links. You know, I use that a lot. And it's just leadership should be, you know, it should be about enabling, self-managing, self-organising team. I mean, in the way we work nowadays, you can't know everything. And that was what the point he was trying to say that as a captain, yeah, he's supposed to know how they work, but the details, there are experts that is within his reach, there are the guys that are the experts, so enable them to do the thing and you just deal with it. And the third one will be this one. I just read this book, it's called The Wisdom of the Crowds by James Surowiecki. He was saying that data shows that if you take, if you ask people to solve a problem and a group of people from just non-experts, and you get the experts to predict that same problem, the crowd will be, the answer will be closer to the reality than the experts themselves. Why, I don't know, maybe it aggregates knowledge of the crowd coming together rather than experts, and the other point he was making also, is how the HiPPO opinion (HiPPO: Highest Paid Personality), like when you have a team of engineers and the manager comes in that meeting and you ask a question of how do you think we can do this and he gives his opinion first, his opinion is going to skew the answers of everybody else. So this is why it's important, where you have a meeting and some HiPPOs are there, let them be still, let us hear the opinions of the team, the ordinary members of the team before if they need to give their opinion, right? Otherwise we just have a skewed opinion and that opinion will not be the best for that particular question. So that is another very good book. Ula Ojiaku Thank you. So there are three books. The Goal, Turn That Ship Around, The Wisdom of the Crowds. So how can the audience find you or contact you? Victor Nwadu You can get me at wakandagility.com, you can get me at victor@wakandagility.com. You can get me at LinkedIn, Victor Nwadu, you just type it there, you'll see m there. Ula Ojiaku Any ask for the audience, or any final words, Victor? Victor Nwadu Final last words, yes, Agile is real. Agile is here. And so be inspired, be prepared, be Agile. First of all, you be inspired to change, to have that mindset to adapt to your present circumstances. You know, be prepared for future disruptions, for anything, and be Agile, right? That's it. Then you will definitely succeed. You will definitely live longer. You will definitely transcend all the challenges, all the Covid 19 time, even aliens coming to this world or whatnot. Ula Ojiaku So can we hold you to, to account for it? Can we take it to the bank and say Victor said if we're inspired, prepared, and agile… Victor Nwadu It will help. I mean, from my experience in life, it'll help if you're inspired, you have to be inspired. People that are not driven cannot achieve much. You need to be passionate about what you do. And then you need to be prepared. You need to be prepared by having the skillset, challenge yourself to learn, constantly learning. Then be agile, all those things that we do, your mindset, the way you think, you know, having agile ways of doing things, you know, having a different mindset towards failure. When you fail, it doesn't mean you have, you know, you've done anything bad or the end of the world, failure is a sign that that option is not going to work and you've learned something new, you pivot and try a new one. So if we have that kind of mindset, we'll be innovating every year, every six months, every three months. If we have a different attitude towards failure, so be inspired, be prepared, be Agile. Ula Ojiaku Thank you so much, Victor. It's been a pleasure having this conversation Victor Nwadu It's been an absolute pleasure. Thank you so much, Ula. Ula Ojiaku The pleasure is mine. That's all we have for now. Thanks for listening. If you liked this show, do subscribe at www.agileinnovationleaders.com or your favourite podcast provider. Edmund Gill Swain, born on the 19th of February 1861 in Stockport, Cheshire, was a respected English cleric and author known for his contributions to the ghost story genre. Educated at Manchester Grammar School and Emmanuel College, Cambridge, Swain pursued Natural Sciences. Ordained as a deacon in 1885 and a priest in 1886 at Rochester, he served as a curate in Camberwell before assuming the role of chaplain at King's College, Cambridge, alongside the notable scholar and author M. R. James. The two shared living quarters within the college, fostering a collegial relationship that extended beyond their professional roles. Swain's duties included teaching at the college's choir school, showcasing his multifaceted engagement in academic life. His literary legacy reached a notable point with the 1912 publication of "The Stoneground Ghost Tales," a collection that demonstrated his skill in the supernatural and positioned him as an early imitator of James, leaving a lasting imprint on the genre. Within the collection, "Bone to His Bone" stands out as a quietly intriguing narrative. Set on a Christmas Eve, the story follows Reverend Bachtel, seeking matches in the dark, only to encounter a mysterious book on gardening. This spectral tome, once owned by a long-departed rector, subtly guides him to a specific spot in the garden. The unfolding events, marked by an understated approach to bibliomancy, reflect Swain's ability to handle hauntings without sensationalism. "Bone to His Bone" quietly underscores Swain's finesse, blending a touch of gentle humor with the supernatural, presenting a nuanced exploration of the ghostly that avoids overstatement. Hello, you beautiful people and welcome to the Adams Archive. My name is Austin Adams, and thank you so much for listening. Today. On today's episode, we are going to be discussing the recent, very recent conversation surrounding the potential for new C O V I D Lockdowns. Now this story was broken, broke. Broke, was broke, was broken by. Alex Jones, a man with quite the track record for both being correct on things we don't want him to be correct about, and then also simultaneously getting banned from every platform ever. So we are in good hands here and as is about maybe within 48 hours of him coming out with that video. We have seen article after article after article of mask mandates being rolled out at universities at the potential for these new covid type lockdowns and then all these discussions around this new variant. So we will discuss that. We will also talk about the. Very seemingly weird coincidence of what happened at Dodger Stadium. Now, if you don't remember Dodger Stadium, what ended up happening there a few months ago was the pride event where they showed a stripper performing on a pole dressed as around Jesus being crucified. So, hmm, we'll talk about that. Then we will get into the D Dollarization of. The world according to Vladimir Putin, he and China have been working behind the scenes. To de Dollarize is the term by basically getting rid of the United States dollar as the worldwide currency, which has been pretty effective. And if we look around a little bit, and we see some people that are also discussing this simultaneously, like the man from, if you recall that movie, the Big Short, who Predicted the 2008 crash? Of the mortgages of the United States. He has a pretty good track record. You know, they almost treat him like Rainman in that movie where he's like on a whiteboard, drawn up a bunch of symbols, and then he all of a sudden comes out and goes, I know what's happening. Right? And so, so there's a pretty good indication between some of the things that we're seeing in the financial sector along with the United States banks dropping after some of its ratings being dropped of the s and p. So pretty wild stuff. On top of that, a few of the shorter discussions we will have will be about the upcoming boxing match between Dylan Danis and Logan Paul. And you might say, Austin, why are we gonna talk about that? And that's a good question. But they've been talking a lot of shit and it's quite entertaining. And these are the two biggest pieces of trash. In probably the world, let alone celebrities. So hopefully it's a double knockout, but we'll, we'll get into why we're talking about that. 'cause there's been some pretty crazy types of discussions going on from one side of this. And then I believe I. That's what we got. So we'll jump into it all. But first I need you to head over to your phone that you're listening to this on and hit the subscribe button, whether you're on YouTube, apple podcasts rumble, wherever you're at, Spotify. Some of those obscured weird places that some of you watch and listen to podcasts. Go ahead and hit the subscribe button. If I could ask you a favor, please go ahead and leave a five star review. I would appreciate it. It's the only way that you can give back right now for all of the hard work and that's all I got. Alright. Oh, head over to the sub stack, Austin Adams dot sub stack.com. Okay, now without further ado, let's jump. Into it, the Adams archive. All right. The very first topic we're going to discuss today is we're gonna play a game. Let's play a game called Is Alex Jones correct? Once again, and you might already know the answer to that, but let's go ahead and explore it here. Alex Jones Recently, just a few days ago, like three, four days ago, came out with a video about. Biden potentially bringing back mask mandates, potentially bringing back lockdowns. And he alleges that he got this information from directly from somebody who works at the T s A that they're going to do this in waves. So let's watch this video. Let's see what Alex Jones has to say about this, and then we'll see if he's correct over the last few days. Here we go. Ladies and gentlemen, I got a call yesterday. An individual was in town and they wanted to meet with me that I know well, and they are a high level manager in the T S A. I went and met with 'em and had a cup of coffee with 'em, and they said, you gotta warn people Tuesday. We got called in the managers and told that by the middle of September that the new policy's being written that this is done. They were told this is happening. This is not hypothetical. You'll all have to wear mask again, and so will airport employees. Then by the middle of October, they are going to say that everyone flying has to wear a mask. And in the meetings people began to ask them, well, I mean, why is this happening? They said, well, because of the new variant in Canada. Because of the W H O. They may, you know, declare this, but regardless we've been told this is going to happen in interesting. And then they were told, we expect by December. I return to the full Covid protocol of 20 20, 20 21, and I was given many more details. I wrote down notes on it. Then I left, called the first federal connection that I was thinking of. Didn't answer. Called a second answered. Told them what I've been told and they said, what day was that? I said, Tuesday. They said, yep. We were told yesterday, this is yesterday was Thursday, so it was Wednesday. Expect Covid protocols to begin rolling out middle of September. And I said, what else were you told? Basically that they believe this new variant's super bad and that they're doing the testing and that they should just get ready for a whole new rollout of what happened before. And this was border patrol connected people I was talking to and testing at the border again, and the whole shooting match. That's two federal agents that told me this yesterday. Then I went and looked at the news and there they were saying, Canada's looking at new restrictions again because of the variant, and so is the eu, and what did the Russians just put out three days ago? US is plotting another pandemic. Russian head of the defense ministry warrants. Now new lockdowns will starve the third world. New lockdowns will destroy small businesses. New lockdowns will take the average person that's already $5,000 in the whole, and their paycheck is, is, is. Just on time, we'll put them into full bankruptcy and the children in the mask and the, the attempt to push a new shot for the new variant. And we're right back in the same hell hole we were in just a few years ago. And why is it perfect timing? Because you go into the election year, they had the last crisis go over two and a half years. They'll bare minimum run this through the next election. It's only 14, 15 months out with mail-in ballots again, and we have all the eyewitnesses and testimony that they'd get the mail-in ballots, and in some cases they were 99% for Joe Biden, who believes that u s Postal Service whistleblowers, U S P S poll watching witnesses. I, I have it all here. We'll play it next hour. We do not have to sit here and take. The same criminal UN global W A F, new world order regimes, second rollout of lockdowns. Alright, so you may hear.  All right, so you may hear during this episode me sniffling a little bit, and that's probably because I might be the very first person coming out and saying it's very likely that I have covid right now, that my family got covid, and you wanna know what I feel a little bit like shit, but you know what? I feel also free. Without any foreign mRNA substances flowing through my blood, and you know what? My family and I are going to be immune. For the next foreseeable future. Right now, this may be a biologically, you know, a, a web or a a lab created variant of this. Just as we know. The first one was that leaked out of Wuhan. So where, where are these variants coming from? That's the better question. Right? If we know for sure 100% that the first round of this came from Wuhan, why is there a second, third, fourth variance that are now being created? Where are those coming from? What is the likelihood that that's happening naturally? If the first one didn't happen naturally, what is the likelihood that our own government would be releasing, or at the very, you know, let's, let's be generous here, that these labs would be accidentally exposing the general public consistently to variants. What is the likelihood of that? Right. But you know what? Like I said, I feel a little bit like shit. I had a hard time sleeping last night. I had a little bit of body aches. You'll hear me sniffle throughout this podcast 'cause I feel a little bit like shit. But you know what? I'll be fine. And you know what? You'll be fine too, just like you were last time. Unless you decide to give in to these draconian mandates where you have to get an ex still experimental mRNA, gene therapy injected into your body. Because guess what? Even if they took the correct channels last time to get that vaccination, vaccination that gene therapy approved, it still would not be approved based on the amount of time that you have to go through clinical trials still would not be approved. And you know what? They didn't even do the clinical trials correctly the way that they should have, and they're still not doing them. But we know 100% that there's a large percentage of people who actually got the mRNA gene therapy that are dropping dead of heart conditions. Many of them you know, some. I know some. You probably have some in your family. I had some in my family. So guess what? Here's what I have to say to the potential of new Lockdowns. For a new Covid variant, fuck you. Absolutely not. I will not partake in that. I will not partake in it. Just as I didn't partake in it the first time, and I hope we all learned our lesson, that we will not be divided the same way that we were last time because that was the problem. Right now, we should know better. And maybe just last time they got what, 60, 70% of people to comply, but now we know better. Maybe this time it's 20 to 30% who are just obnoxiously agreeable to where they'll do whatever the hell you say or whenever you say it because you're daddy, your government, maybe that's, maybe that's the case. 20 to 30% will do whatever the government says whenever they say it, just so they can be the the good guy. Meanwhile, we've been shouting from the rooftops that they were wrong. We've been shouting from the rooftops that they've been trying to. Injure people through this mRNA gene therapy, right? So if, if you do not learn by now that the government does not have your best interest in mind, that the w h o, that the c d C does not have your best interest in mind, and you comply with this, you are complicit with this because fool you once, I'll give you a pass, fool you twice after we're shouting and waving our hands and telling you not to at. The detriment of our own sanity platforms, businesses. Now, it's not starting to look like you're as innocent or as naive as we thought. So this is, I truly hope this is wrong. I don't believe it is. With all the other articles that I'm gonna pull up here and show you, I absolutely believe this is happening. I absolutely believe that what I have right now. Is C O V I D, that it was probably very likely released from another lab with a variant to implement the same thing over and over again. And I think that Alex Jones alluded to this correctly. This will go on until the next election cycle, mail-in ballots. I. Right. They needed something, someone, some organization, some type of technology which would allow them to shut the country down, which would allow them to do mail-in ballots, which would allow them to do what they did and install somebody who can't even stay awake at a hearing about people's children who burned to death in Hawaii. That's where we're at with Joe Biden at this point. Right. So again, full. Me once. Shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. I don't see any situation where this goes, right? I don't see how anybody in their right mind would comply with this again. And it's infuriating that they even think that we're dumb enough that they can run the same playbook twice. But what's more frustrating than that is the fact that they're probably right. That regardless of what. We all know is the truth, regardless of what we all believe is is happening around us that we know 100% happened in those two years where they locked down the country. They shut down your businesses, they killed your family members, they injected you with this experimental drug. They forced your compliance through marketing tactics. The saddest thing about this to me is it will very likely work. I have a glimmer of hope, a glimmer of hope that maybe just, maybe people woke up, woke up enough over the last three years to realize what happened, but I guess time will tell. Let's go ahead and see if Mr. Alex Jones was correct. Here is the very next article. That I will show you, which is a video from the last few days by M S N B C. Well, new booster shots roll out. Anne Thompson asked the C d. C Director this summer. Most Americans left Covid in the past gathering together. Once again, mask free. But tonight, signs of a Covid resurgence across the country. Covid hospitalizations jumped more than 14% in the most recent week, but far lower than pandemic levels. N B C News, medical contributor, Dr. Kavita Patel, what's behind this uptick in Covid that we're seeing? The main driver of this. Is a variant that's relatively newer to the scene, e G five, it's easier to give and get, so that makes it kind of easier to pass along. It's been almost a year since the last Covid booster came out. C D. C Director, Dr. Mandy Cohen. The new Covid booster is expected to be approved by the F D A, and then we will make recommendations from the C D C probably by the second or third week of September. Will it protect against this new strain? Yes. The booster is tailored to what we are seeing circulating now. Critics say the federal government is behind once again. Mm. People knew there was going to be a covid resurgence. Mm-hmm. So why don't we have a booster today? Why do we have to wait until next month the way we go?  It's amazing that when you see all of these people talking about this new variant, they get these doctors in, they get these, you know, contributors in, they get people from the the who and the C D C, and all of them just have this biggest smile on their face, and they're so excited to talk about this. And underneath the desk they're speaking from, they just have a giant erection. They're so excited. You see this woman's eyes, she looks like she took four Adderall. She looks just super pumped for this new variant and this new booster, and this new lockdown and this new mask mandate, super pumped. They're so excited for their time to shine again, so they can be essential personnel. It's disgusting time for me to be important again.  About doing our, just like we do with our flu shots, right? We make sure that we're looking at the ways in which the virus changed. They look at and evaluate that the f d A is doing its work. We likely will see this as an annual covid o shot, just like the flu shot just in time for fall when we'll also face R Ss V. Can you take the flu shot? The Covid Booster and the R S V vaccine all at once. So for Flu and covid, yes. R S V again is only available for older adults. That's one where I'd say talk to your doctor about what's right for you. So until the new covid booster comes get prepared stock up on at-home tests, they do cover that new strain. Keep a mask handy in case you're in a crowded place, and most of all, get your shot. Covid Flu and R S V all by Halloween to give yourself your best chance of staying healthy. Buster. A reminder that Covid never went away. Alright? Didn't. And thank you.  And it never will get excited for another year of C O V I D. Year after year, we will have another one for you so we can continue to make our profits right? Did you hear her say that? And we're just expecting that this will just be an annual thing now. Right, that we'll just create a new variant every year for you guys so that we can sell you the antidote so that you don't feel like I do and have the last 24 to 48 hours. You know what? Like I said, I feel like shit, I might even look like shit, but in 48 hours from now, I will be perfectly fine. And guess what? I won't die from myocarditis, from an experimental gene therapy. That's the reality, but, It's so funny that these, the, these people think that when they speak from this like figure of authority mentality that people are gonna listen to them now. Right? Do you recall them saying that the vaccines are safe and effective? Do you remember them call telling us that the vaccines do not allow for transmission? Do you remember when they told us that masks work? I do. But they think that you don't, so they're gonna tell you it again. Hmm. Here's another article that came out, which came from, let's see here, Atlanta College, which is the, looks like Empire Brown. Atlanta College Reinstates Mask mandate for students and employees on campus, stating that the mask mandate is a precautionary move for just the next 14 days. Where have we heard that before? What was it? Two, two weeks to flatten the curve. Remember that? Hmm. More like two years of killing your small businesses physically killing your. Physically killing your grandparents and your parents and the elderly and the sick. Remember that one? Yeah. Oh yeah. And incentivizing people to, in the medical industry, to make sure that they check a box that they died with Ki Covid or instead of, you know, without it, so that they made their money. Oh. And, and remember even to put you on a respirator so that they could get their extra, what was it, $30,000 or something crazy like that. Alright, and here's the last one, California based film company, Lionsgate implements mask mandate in contact tracing amid new c o scare. All right. This says the California based film studio. Lionsgate has re-implemented the mask mandate for some employees as its Santa Monica Crew Cruise, or Santa Monica Cruise. Santa Monica flagship office. After several employees tested positive for Covid, according to deadline, Lionsgate Star's response Manager, summer Mackelroy sent an email to staff announcing that masks would be mandatory for the third and fifth floors of its five story building. Employees must wear a medical r. Face covering surgical mask, KN 95 or N 95 when indoors. Except when alone in an office with the door closed, actively eating, actively drinking at their desk or workstation, or if they are the only individual present in a large open workspace. All Lionsgate employees will be required to perform a self screening before coming into work each day and stay home if they're showing symptoms of Covid or have traveled internationally in the last 10 days. The studio is also conducting contact tracing and providing a upon request covid test kit to employees. This comes as Morris Brown, so that's what it was not Empire Morris Brown College in Atlanta re reintroduced a mask mandate in effect for two weeks after reports of positive cases among students at the Atlanta University Center. Los Angeles County. Police health has public health has recommended for higher risk residents to wear masks. And here we go. Hmm. So now if we go back, let's look a little bit more about what you know, Alex Jones has said about this. He, he comes out and says this, and within days, he's the one who blows the whistle, right? He calls it once again, from somebody who told him from the t ss a, that this. Will happen. And they know preemptively, they already know this to be true, right? They already know what the plan is. They already decided what they're going to do and when they're going to do it. Interesting. So there was another article that came out that showed that the government was already buying. Safety materials and gearing up for a new lockdown. So I'll see if I can find that. I thought I bookmarked it here for us, but apparently I didn't. But there was something that came up on Reddit of all the, you know, all the good stuff comes from Reddit. All right, so this one says So I did Coke with an elite and they loose lipped it big time. They were inebriated and nearly about to pass out. Son of an ultra high net worth individual. He wasn't very coherent until after a line then says, I'm gonna tell you some fucked up shit man. Takeaways from his further slurred. Barrage of weirdness. The vaccine is a depopulation tool. The mRNA vaccine has always been about programmable humans getting needles in arms to rewrite human biology. Now again, this is not corroborated. This comes from Reddit, so take it. Or leave it, but it's an interesting conversation. It says, after booster four, something called IgG four is permanently active. I'm no scientist but can remember IgG four 'cause my dog's name is Iggy. He says it's like allergy shots before the covid spike. It tells your body there is nothing wrong with the covid spike and to leave it alone. He says, if you look into it, you will see this is already known. The stage is now set. He says, over 3 billion people now have adequate levels of IgG four, and the final face is close. He also said, those in the know, call it the process, it is to reduce the human population by 5 billion, 3 billion from IgG, four programming, and 2 billion from the fallout of 3 billion deaths. He said late 2023, the new and final covid strain will be released. This strain will have over 90% fatality, but only those who have IgG only to those who have IgG four in their bodies, they will mount no immune response to this deadly strain. Un Vaxxed like him will basically have a mild cold shout out to your boy sitting in this chair talking. Who's alive and well, very likely with covid. Now, did I take a test? The answer is no, because as with everything else, it's all full of shit. So no reason, but I'm very positive. I'm pretty sure I have Covid and I'm okay, but very likely because I didn't take the shot. It says they will claim all governments knew and misled their people. It will be designed to cause mass, panic and turn all citizens against their governments. This will ensure cities burn during the viral outbreak, and emergency services are non-existent. Billions will die. My friends, I've never sewed up, sobered up so fast in my life. I left the party somewhat stunned. Who could make this up? Here's what we now, it points out to the August 11th article by Bloomberg. Which says, here's what we know about the new Covid variant, Aris, e r i s. Now, that's important because then it points us to the next article by Wikipedia, which talks about Aris within mythology, the Greek goddess of discord for the godde of love. See arose Aris is the Greek goddess of strife and discord. Her Roman equivalent is discord, which means the same. Iris's Greek opposite is Harmonia whose Roman counterpart is Concordia. Though she is also described as opposing Nike counterpart of the Roman Victoria Homer equated her to the war goddess Enio, whose Roman counterpart is bologna. The dwarf planet. Aris is named after the goddess. She had no temples in ancient Greece and functions essentially as a personification, as as which she appears in Homer in many later works. Aris is of uncertain etymology connections with the verb. To raise, stir, and excite in the proper name. Aness have been suggested, rejects these deviations and suggested a preg Greek origin. Interesting. So what they're saying is basically that the, the name naming of this variant as Aris is connected to the goddesses. The connection to strife and discord and to race, stir, and excite. So, hmm, not a ton to that, but this potential cocaine field conversation is quite interesting. Let's see what the people had to say. The very first comment on this Reddit thread says, I'm sorry, but how the fuck is this at all? A reliable source when it starts with, so I did Coke with an elite. Exactly. As I said, take it with a grain of salt. The next highest comment says, I guess we'll see what happens in the next couple months. The next person says, I'm torn. Is there a conspiracy to lower the population or is there a conspiracy of forces, forces leaching on people's emotions? Hmm. So somebody fact checks the IgG four thing, and this is from the I N I H. Which says, however, emerging evidence suggests that the reported increase in IgG four levels detected after repeated vaccination with the mRNA vaccines may not be a pro protective mechanism. Rather, it constitutes an immune tolerance mechanism to the spike protein that could promote unopposed SARS c Ovid two. COV two. Infection and replication by suppressing NA natural antiviral responses increased IgG four synthesis due to repeated M R a vaccine with high antigen concentrations may also cause autoimmune diseases and promote cancer growth in autoimmune myocarditis and susceptible individuals. There it is, folks. That is the extent of the covid. Oh my goodness. Alright. What a perfect setting for this podcast that I am speaking to you about this covid outbreak while actually having covid. What are the odds? Probably pretty high. Ugh. So forgive me if I have sniffles and you know, some, some sneezes every now and then. Alright, so there's your cocaine fueled Reddit article which you can take with a grain of salt. And as a word from our non-existent sponsors while I blow my nose. There you go, folks. Go to their website, buy their shit. All right, the next thing that I wanted to discuss about this is did we learn or did we not? Right? And that's what this person discusses here. Which says the masks didn't work, the lockdowns didn't work. The vaccines didn't work. So why would they repeat it? Well, maybe because it did work. Maybe because it was about control and not about public health. Once you start to understand that they're not spending this massive amount of money unless A, there's a return on investment, which we know they made billions of dollars during the last lockdown. And B, if it helps to perpetuate their underlying motivation, which is control. Right. Control for what? Well, one thing to allude to is the depopulation, which has been outwardly talked about, right? You go back to the committee of 300, and they actually have it written out on a stone that the population of the earth should never exceed 500 million. Well, guess what? We're about 3.5 billion people over that last time I checked. So is it about population control? Maybe, is it about profitability? 100%? Is it about control? Very likely. Is it about the election? Very likely, right? What? What can we learn from the last time that this happened and what can we do about it in the future? The first thing I'll say to you about this is do not comply from the very beginning. The second that we started to push back, the second that there was people in the streets, the second that people rose up, especially in mass. That was the time where they pulled back the, the, they're gonna start to turn the gas on the stove here. It's just starting to warm up folks. And as time goes on, the water will start to boil and unless you begin, when you feel the water getting a little warm, you won't even notice when you're perfectly cooked. Right. The boiling fr frog theory. Not a theory, it actually is a thing. So that's, that's what we need to do. We need to figure out what is our plan, right? And, and maybe shame on us, shame on us for not coming up with this and realizing that this was going to happen and not having a set systematic plan to overcome this shame on us for not getting into a, a large enough group where we have determined as a society, as a community to never let this happen again. Shame on us, but guess what? There are a lot of people who have woken up and maybe we're behind at this point where we should be in our planning, but they're very, very far ahead of us. But guess how many more of us than there is of them? Lots folks. Lots of us, right? So it all begins with masks. That's the first little checkpoint. Did they comply with masks? Check. Guess what? Give you the same response that I gave you for as before. Absa Fucking lly. Not Will I put a mask on my face no matter who you are, no matter where you're telling me to do it, no matter what, I will not have a mask on my face. Guess what? They don't work. Even if you want to gimme an N 95, absolutely not. If you wanna change the definitions of herd immunity, From people who have had C O V I D and now have antibodies like you. Boy, nice and early. Get it outta the way. Just saying if anybody needs to get this while I got it, just shoot me a dmm. I'll meet you up somewhere and, and we can drink from the same coffee as long as you buy it. I prefer beer though. And if we're talking what I actually prefer, it's whiskey. So you know, buy me some whiskey, I'll, we'll have a covid party. Let's all get together today. Get antibodies. Tell them to fuck off when it comes to the masks, right? Maybe that's our plan. Let's have a big C O V I party and they can't stop us, right? We need to throttle, we need to put the pedal to the metal early in how we plan this out and how people are going to come together and what we're gonna do when they decide to try to push masks on us. And guess what, where they, where are they doing it first? Where Alex Jones just talked about it. Where's the very first place that they're gonna do this? Transportation. Why? Why do you think it's transportation? Because it's necessary for you to do your job, because it's necessary for you to see your children because it's necessary for our day-to-day lives, and they can, at least they feel like they can. But if every one of the motherfuckers who walks through that door does not do it with a mask on. They don't buy plane tickets for one week. One week. That's all we need of people not buying plane tickets. What do you think will happen? How quickly do you think that our airlines will stop the mask mandates? Probably pretty quickly. Right? Interesting. Alright, so there's your quick little lesson for the day. Now the next thing that we'll talk about here, a nice little segue for you is do you recall what happened at Dodger Stadium just a few months ago? If you don't, let me cut you up to speed. There was a pride event at Dodger Stadium just a few months ago where they had these drag queens. Strippers there to promote pride. The same drag queens who were dancing all over crucified Jesus. Now if you wanna hear about something called karma, here it is. Dodgers Stadium has been flooded unbelievably by. The hurricane in California, you look around and Dodger Stadium is just completely filled with water and almost everywhere around it is not. Now. That's an interesting coincidence, isn't it? Here we go. Here's the article. It says, Los Angeles famed Dodger Stadium sustained an an inundation of rain from Hurricane Hillary last week. Prompting many of the raise their eyebrows over the timing of the deluge and their decision to host a controversial L G B T Q Pride event in June. Photos and videos emanating from LA over the weekend showed Dodger Stadium parking lot completely submerged and inaccessible. Let's watch this quick video. Oh wow. That was very loud. Sorry about that folks. Looks like somebody from a helicopter. If you can't tell from that that sound flying around Dodger Stadium and it is just flooded, only really the immediately surrounding area around Dodger Stadium. Coincidence, probably not. Probably not. Here's the video for you guys. So again, as always, not always. 'cause this is quite recent. For a while we were able to do it and then we didn't. But here we are on YouTube. You can watch along with me always. If you're just listening, I appreciate you. Head over to YouTube also find the Adams Archive YouTube channel, and then you can watch along as we're going through everything. Almost everything is not flooded, but Dodger Stadium is very interesting. All right, let's go back. And continue to read this article. All right, just video after video. Now it says, The Touring of Rain caused the Dodger Stadium to postpone their game with the Miami Marlins. Until this upcoming weekend, the flood of biblical proportions was interpreted as a sign that God was angry with the Dodger's decision earlier this year. To host the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence L G B T Group, which in the past has staged religiously offensive stunts including mock crucifixions of Jesus Christ. And here that video  is,    And that's enough of that. God is not mocked. June La Dodgers mock Catholic nuns by hosting hate group. August La Dodger Stadium is flooded. Hmm. Somebody else said the Dodger Stadium is flooded months after they mocked. God Highlighted by ex political commentator, Ryan Cunningham. God's power is mighty. Many in the prophetic have detailed events such as these and many more are to come this fall. Look out as we watch the structures of ball are torn down. Hmm, very, very interesting. And it just goes on with tweet after tweet after tweet of people calling them out. Very interesting. Alright, so I found that to be pretty crazy because, you know, you want to hear about what they just discussed there, the, the biblical reactions to these types of events in the Bible where things are flooded, when there's mockeries and, and all of this. All of the things that some people say, you know, are just tied or tall tales from a time that, you know, we're, we're not a part of. Obviously there's still some sentiment to, this seems pretty wild that within two months of that atrocious act by the Dodgers, this ends up happening. All right, on the next small article here, let's talk about what everybody's been waiting for, which is Dylan Danis and Logan Paul are set to have a boxing match this coming weekend. Now, again, you might say, Austin, why is this important? Why would I care about this? And the the real answer is, You shouldn't, but we're still gonna talk about it. And the reason we're gonna talk about it is because if you don't know who Dylan Dannis is or you don't know who Logan Paul is, you are one of the lucky few. Now, if you don't know who Dylan Danni is, there's quite a lot of people who don't know who Dylan Danni is. And rightfully, he's pretty much well known within the Juujitsu community as just the biggest piece of garbage. He's also known as Conor McGregor's. Jiujitsu coach Now, nobody knows really why? Because he has hasn't won a single large match in well over a half a decade. He doesn't actively compete. He is now seemingly boxing Logan Paul for clout and money. I have a hypothesis about this fight, which I believe is that Dylan Danis is gonna get absolutely obliterated by Logan Paul, who looks like he's. A bunch of steroids and far, far bigger than Dylan Danni. But the only true way that anybody wins in this fight is if they both simultaneously knock each other out. These men, if one could call them, that are the biggest pieces of trash in all of celebrity and mixed martial arts areas of discussion, right? The biggest pieces of trash. Now, Dylan Dannis went out of his way during maybe the last. Two weeks, week and a half to just completely, completely go after Logan Paul's wife, as probably the biggest bitch move ever. And he does it in a way that's extremely gross and untactful and just, just completely tasteless. Now. Now, this is nothing new for Dylan Danni everything he's ever done, ever is just. Disgusting and filled with self-conscious small dick energy. But he just posted video after video photoshopped after photoshopped image and picture after picture of, of this woman's. Who is by the way, is extremely, extremely attractive. To be fair. Her name's Nina Ab Aal or something like that. Very attractive. She's probably some sort of supermodel or something like that. So Dylan and Danish, just probably 150 tweets of him saying these atrocious things. Now this woman seems like she probably had a fair amount of history with many men. She was actually with Leonardo DiCaprio at one point too. But I just don't see the relevance within a fight conversation. And obviously there is something to marrying somebody with real values and, and also valuing themselves enough not to, I dunno. Be with. 30 men before she settles down in a marriage. But at the same time, I still think it's far more dishonorable to be on the side of Dylan Dannis shouting these things out from the rooftops and coming off as a complete douche bag. They had a press conference, which looked like something from the W W E completely fake, which may be. Closer to the truth than we know because Logan Paul has not been active in the boxing community. He's been active only in the w e community, so maybe this is all, some big show. Although I, I don't believe any man would ever let somebody talk about their wife like this and not be pissed off by it. But here's my prediction. I think Logan Paul knocks, Dylan Danni out. Dylan Danni has never been in the boxing match. He has no boxing skills whatsoever. He barely has any juujitsu skills. He's completely irrelevant in his own sport, but only gets relevance through shit talking people on Twitter. So that's, that's my prediction. I think anybody who watches this loses, you know, I, I would love the opportunity to sit in a ring with either of these men, you know, be it Juujitsu with Logan Paul, or boxing with Dylan Danni. I'm not gonna go as far as to say that I would do Juujitsu against Dylan Danni or Box Logan Paul at this point, unless she gimme maybe, I don't know, 18 months and then I'd smash either of them. But I just think everybody loses in this situation, especially the man who's shamelessly calling out another man's wife. Even though the man who he's saying that about happens to be one of the biggest pieces of shit in celebrity history, but I won't bore you with this any longer. Let's move on. If you want to get some of the taste of what's actually going on here you can head over to Dylan Dan's Twitter. But I, I won't bore you with the entire story. Here's a quick clip and a quick video for you. Do you see yourself like potentially getting American one day? Do you like it? I'm not gonna lie, I was like gonna praise him because like, you know, I'm all about like trans and like L G Q and everything. So I was gonna be like, oh, this is awesome. He like has a fiance that's trans. So I thought she was, and then I looked it up and it, and it was a girl. It made a severe and continuous. Lapse Takes all these clips of her with other guys and videos where she's being interviewed and mentions anything about sex and, eh, can't say it's not effective. He probably very rightfully pissed off Logan Paul. But anyways, like I said, I won't bore you with this any longer. I just could not go this entire time and not talk about it 'cause it's pretty wild.  Alright, so let's go ahead and jump into the last topic of discussion for today, which is that Vladimir Putin has come out and said that the d dollarization is irreversible, and this says that bricks will become economically more powerful than the G seven. The Russian president said an address to the Johannesburg Summit. The US dollar is losing its global role in an objective and irreversible process. The Russian president told participants at the Brick Summit in South Africa on Tuesday, Vladimir Putin spoke via video link. After choosing not to attend the event, in person, de Dollarization is gaining momentum. Putin declared adding that the members of the group of major emerging economies are seeking to reduce their reliance on the greenback. In mutual transactions, the Russian leader claimed that the five brick members. Russia, China, India, Brazil, and South Africa are becoming the new world economic leaders. Adding that, their cumulative share of global G D P has reached 26% now between just Russia, China, and India. That's pretty terrifying. Those are absolutely, even just if you say China and India, the next biggest player in the world economy, and the fact that they're moving away from the dollar is quite. Quite terrifying. And so it goes on to say that become the New World economic leaders adding their cumulative shares of global G D P has reached 26% noted that if measured by purchasing power parity, Brix has already surpassed the group of seven leading industrialized nations accounting for 26% of the global economy compared to 30% in G seven. For the past 10 years, mutual investment between the Brix member states has increased by six times. Their total investments in the world economy has doubled. While cumulative reports account for 20% of the global total, Putin said Moscow is focusing on reorienting its transport and logistics routes towards reliable foreign partners, including Brix members, to ensure an uninterrupted supply of energy and food to the international market. Russia's primary goals include developing the Northern Sea route. And the north, north, south transport corridor, Putin stated the first passing through the Arctic Ocean along Russia's northern coastline will ensure faster good deliveries between Europe and the far East. The second could connect Russia's Northern and Baltic ports to the Persian Gulf and the Indian Ocean facilitating cargo movement between Eurasia and African nations. A legitimate sanction seriously weigh in the international economic situation and the lawful freezing of sovereign state's assets constitutes a violation of free trade and economic Cooper cooperation rules. So is he right? Well, one would hope not because everything in our economy is based off of the dollar, but it seems to me that there are some other players in the game who are moving towards this as well. Right. Now let's just look at the first response here. Which says, I have come to the sad realization that Western governments are evil and are overseeing crimes against all the people of the world, including the populations of their own country. Looters of the West are neither the brightest nor the most upright representatives of their nations. They're just the most ethically and morally bankrupt. They're not. Politics for their people. They're in politics for themselves. Western governments accused non-western governments of corruption. Yet what is more corrupt than using taxpayer funds and the government debt underpinned by it to pursue the narrow interests of their political donors at the expense of their own people. Look at the status of Western infrastructure. It is decaying. Look at the state of Western society. It is destroying itself. The rest of the world needs to abandon the West to its fate. It won't take long, and the first victim will be the United States, which is much more guilty of inflicting harm onto others than all the others combined. Hmm. Very, very interesting. So, like I said, there are some other players on the US side of things who seem to believe that this is true. Right. One of the ways that you can jump on this bandwagon would be by shorting. The s and p 500, which is exactly what Michael Berry did. Now, if you know who Michael Berry is, he's the man from the movie, the Big Short, right? He's the man with the Rainman type scene where he's sitting there on a whiteboard, marking out all these mathematical equations, and he walks outta the office and goes, I got it guys. We're gonna short the mortgage market. Here's what's gonna happen. It's all gonna crash. 2008, 2009. It's gonna crash. It's gonna all crumble down. Now he is known as a Rainman in the stock market. This man does not shoot 20, 30%. This man shoots 90 percentile on what he's doing when he's predicting the market. So, He placed a bearish bet against the s and p 500, and he did so by investing in the stock ticker Q Q Q I believe. And he also sold his stake in Alibaba, first Republic and many other stocks. Burberry's Scion Fund loaded up on mining, shipping, and energy stocks. Michael Burey placed his bearish betts against the s and p 500 and NASDAQ 100 last quarter while switching out his wagers on Chinese e-commerce, titans and embattled banks for positions in shipping, mining, and energy companies. At the end of June, the investor of the big short fame held. Put options on two exchange traded funds, SS P D R Ss and P 500 and Invesco. Q Q Q. That track the major index funds a securities and exchange commission filing said Monday after scoping or scooping up cut price banking stocks in the first quarter he sold Capital One first. Republic Pac West Bank Group, Wells Fargo and Western Alliance. The investors, Scion Asset Management, also deposed of two Chinese Internet Giants, Alibaba and jd.com. On the other hand, it added the likes of Crescent Energy, Comstock Resources, precision Drilling star bulk carriers in STIs to its portfolio. The only positions to survive the period where the Geo Group, Liberty, Latin America, New York Community Ban Corp. Sign that Jewelers, Cigna group in the Real, real. After all the turnover, the total value of science portfolio has little changed at 100. Was little changed at 111 million. Excluding options. Brewery rose to prominence after his monster bet against the mid two thousands housing bubble was immortalized in the book and the movie The Big Short. He's also known. Known for betting on GameStop before it became a meme stock, and taking short positions against Elon Musk, Tesla and Kathy Woods flagship Arc Innovation Fund in recent years. Moreover, the Scion chief is famous for his grim warnings about the asset bubble and bleak predictions of epic market crashes. True to form, he issued a one word Declar declaration at the end of January, sell, yet he acknowledged he was wrong to say sell in March and has been silent on social media in recent months. So if this guy's saying sell, maybe you should sell. Maybe it's time to get your money outta the stock market and maybe into, I don't know, the exact same things that he's doing. But actually, honestly, to be true, I'm not a financial advisor and you should never listen to anything that I say that's technical. As a disclaimer, I am not a lawyer. I'm also not a financial advisor. But. If you look at the playbook, if we learned anything from silent weapons for quiet wars, is that there's a, a paved pathway for the way that people think during these types of things that are gonna happen. Now we know they're going to lock us down. We know there's going to be mask mandates, we know there's gonna be runs to the grocery store. We saw it before. All of those things that you saw before will happen again. Now the question is, will you be a victim of it or will you capitalize on it? Right, even if you don't want to capitalize on it, let's talk about the moral and ethical implications of that. Maybe you just want to be prepared. Maybe you have a couple extra rolls of toilet paper, right? Maybe you buy a bidet. Maybe you take your money outta the stock market and put them into, I don't know, some very well-known stocks that did very, very well last time. They shut us down. Maybe you do that, maybe you don't. But either way, that seems very likely as to what's gonna happen. Gold is up, S and P is down, NASDAQ is down, and it's just gonna get worse. Allegedly. I. And another indication of this is that shares of the US banks dropped after the s and p downgrades some of their ratings, right? The, the s and p 500 downgraded their, their rankings. So it says, shares of several US banks fell on Tuesday, the day after ratings agency SS and P Global followed Moody's in cutting its credit ratings on some regional lenders with high commercial real estate exposure. S and P'S actions will make borrowing more costly for a banking sector aiming to recover from a crisis. Earlier this year when three regional lenders failed prompting broader industry turmoil, some of the structural aspects for banks regarding their balance sheet remain risks to banks as the federal con, as the Fed continues to try to anchor inflation with higher rates for longer. Now, here's another conversation that we had before, is maybe you want to get your money into somewhere where if there's a bank run, Full reserve banking. As we talked about, if you remember the conversation in the podcast that we had when there was the banking collapse at the Silicon Valley Bank, we found out that there's essentially a 0% reserve on all of these banks, which means essentially they don't have to hold any of your cash. Now, I mentioned a few of those banks that are full reserve banks and they're mostly overseas and they're, they're a little bit more difficult to. Partake with, but it might be worth it if you have a large set of of assets and you wanna make sure that your money is there when you go to pull it, maybe. Maybe it's time to get it out of the banks that don't hold your money. Maybe pulling it out now and putting it into a full reserve bank as a precaution, maybe buying some extra food. Maybe investing in some stocks, which will do well as we see this same exact playbook play out and then maybe not complying and hoping that we're wrong might be the best move. And in the meantime, I appreciate you. Stay safe, do not comply, and I'll see you next time. Have a great day.

Thank you for having me. Speaker 1 (02:47): So excited to talk about menopause always and nutrition and lifestyle and what I call all the things. I love the title of your book. So I'm wondering if we can start there. See you later. Ovulators . Where, where did you get the title from? That book? Speaker 3 (03:08): Whatever. Yeah. You know what? It's funny. I literally saw online a woman who had had like a menopause or, or a hysterectomy party and she had these cookies with See You Later, ovulators on them. So I had used it as a subtitle for section or a chapter of the book and my publicist was like, no way man. That's gotta be the cover. Like, it's just so catchy and it was available. So I went with it. Okay. Yeah, it's really my homage to like get out like uterus and ovaries. You, you served me well. Thank you so much. Can we just wrap this party up now and can we be free of the monthly cycles and the cramps and the irritability and the bloating and the breast tenderness and the moodiness and the insomnia, , you know, just all those things. I'm like, let's just welcome in the next chapter for our bodies with power and grace and really joy. Speaker 1 (04:07): So you have been a dietician for a while, is that correct? Yeah, Speaker 3 (04:12): Almost three, almost three decades. I'm like a hundred now Speaker 1 (04:16): You're a hundred. And so what changed your focus to menopause? Hmm. Speaker 3 (04:22): It started because I worked in hospitals the first five years of my career. I actually started out working with wic, the WIC program at Boston City Hospital and then went to graduate school and got my master's in clinical nutrition and went back to hospital work, worked in cardiology units and, but started opening a private practice on the side and after about five years, I got certified in functional medicine. 'cause I was like, I'm really not making a difference, giving someone 10 minutes of diet instruction or working in the WIC office. Like, I was like, here's the benefits of high fiber beans and get your calcium from cheese. That there really, I wasn't making a difference. And so with functional mess and I wanted to get in at a more preventive level. And when I opened that, immediately menopausal women came into my practice and I was like, oh my gosh, I'm in my twenties. Speaker 3 (05:15): I don't even know how to treat. So I certainly didn't know much about hormone replacement at the time, but I did know about whole food diets and intermittent fasting and really optimizing insulin sensitivity and weight loss, like stubborn midsection, weight loss and the cortisol belly. So I got to work with diet therapy then. And over the years, really there's been such an evolution in the research. I mean, since I've started practicing, you know, the North American Menopause Society has had two different position papers that Women's Health Initiative study was out there in the early days of my practice. And then since then it's been, you know, the guidelines have been updated. So it, I've seen a lot of changes in my trajectory through menopause. Speaker 1 (06:05): Yes. Lots of changes. And so what are the biggest challenges? I mean, everybody listening, we talk about menopause a lot that you, you see with women and, and how has it evolved over time? So you, you went from nutrition, then you became functional medicine certified, and I know that you talked with women about hormones as well. And so how did that come into the picture? Yeah, Speaker 3 (06:31): Well, because I really wasn't doing, you know enough, like when I'm not solving, I, I don't think about the people who I'm helping as much as the people who I'm not helping. And there comes a point for some women, diet and lifestyle makes a huge difference, right? You ditch alcohol, you cut back on caffeine, you clean out sugar, you're gonna help a woman resolve her hot flashes and improve her sleep and her blood sugar and weight loss and cortisol management. But will it help a woman with brain fog? Will it help a woman with severe insomnia? Will it help a woman maintain her bones? Not necessarily. There comes a point when it's really time to bring in hormones for that last piece of the pie. And I always say it's not the whole pie. Don't think hormones are, you can't out hormone your, your lifestyle. You can't out supplement your lifestyle. It's got to be a multifaceted approach. It has to be stress management is number one in menopause. It's really critical. Sleep, digestion, optimizing protein, getting your strength training in, getting your, your steps in every day, your supplements if needed. Then the hormones, it's multifactorial. Speaker 1 (07:52): Yeah, I love that You can't out hormone your lifestyle, but you also can't out lifestyle your hormones. You know, I always say that menopause is a state of hormonal poverty. The consequences of that hormonal poverty may be symptomatically more severe or less severe for some women. But the changes are happening in hormonal poverty. And if you're not educated on them, that's what I talked about in my TED talk then, you know, you're at increased risk like my mom for Alzheimer's dementia. And the only risk factor she had was she was in untreated menopause for three decades. So I do think it's an essential part, the the puzzle. And so how do you counsel women? Because it's really hard when they traditional doctors won't give them the standard of care, basically is no hormones right? Or exactly for three symptoms and Right. Yeah. Speaker 3 (08:49): Well that was another reason why I wrote see a later ovulators because I have 20 pages of studies in the back of the book that support the use and the importance of hormone replenishment or now it's called M R t, right? Menopause replenishment therapy. But I, well, no matter what you call it, you know, it's very intimidating to confront a white coat. I even gave my book to my doctor and of course she did not read it. But you know, my advice , I know, and I mean, just like, sidebar here for a minute, real talk ladies. You know, I had this like ovarian cyst that ruptured back in November and I was in extraordinary pain and I, I came home and laughed. I said to my husband, I could have written what they told me. They were like, well, I said, so where are my treatment options? Speaker 3 (09:42): And they said, well, you can either go on the pill or go on the I U D or have a hysterectomy. And I said, Nope, what else you got? And they said, take lots of ibuprofen. And I was like, wow, I'm kind of screwed here. So I'm right in the trenches with you ladies. This is why I wrote the book was to like tell all of our stories and understand that medical gaslighting is really not, it's not okay. And if a dietician is researching and accessing all these studies and your doctor is not, and your doctor's A G Y N, then that's lazy medicine. If your doctor isn't updating the standards of warnings on hormones, that's lazy medicine. So what you can say is this is, you know, hey, I know you're not very into hormones, but just let me try it for three months. Speaker 3 (10:36): , I've done the research, but I have plenty of research studies if you wanna look at them in my book, in this book here. And I've done my research and the research shows they're safe and effective and can really prevent, you know, bone loss, loss of gray matter, increased risk of coronary artery disease and I really wanna try them. So a lot of doctors will capitulate to that. However, your Dr. May not monitor a follow up with your hormone labs the way you really should be following up. So the other alternative is vote with your wallet, find a new doctor. Like if you didn't like your hairstylist, if you didn't like your dry cleaner, you would find a new one. Why are we so afraid to look for new doctors? Especially when so many do telemedicine now. So that's another thing we wanna remember and, and yes, often they're out of pocket and we do have to lay out the cash, but insurance often reimburses for a good portion of this. And you will save time and you will save money and you will save nights and years of insomnia and bloating and weight gain and migraines and real struggles that impact your quality of life. Speaker 1 (11:48): Yeah. You know, I, I was laughing when you said your Dr. May say, yeah, I'm not that into hormones, which is kind of insane when you think about it. But literally that's what doctors are saying a lot of times to their patients without saying it. If you read between the lines, I'm not that into hormones. So yeah, that's actually why I created her hormone club. I don't even know, I don't think I mentioned to you, we created an all-in-one telemedicine solution for women to get bioidentical hormone testing and treatment with bioidentical estradiol EST trial, progesterone and testosterone. Nationwide in the United States we have board certified doctors in every state. So because people were not able to access this after I did the stop the Menopause Madness summit, we've now done three of them. Women said, we get it. We, we need hormones, where do we go? Speaker 1 (12:41): And we didn't have anywhere to send them. So one day I said, oh yeah, we need a telemedicine solution. And so I created it. So everybody listening there is access to this in your neighborhood. It may not look like what you're used to where you drive and find parking and sit with your butt hanging out in a little paper gown for an hour waiting to the doctor only to leave with a fist full of prescriptions that don't fix your problem. Like you can actually be in your pajama bottoms at your dining room table on Zoom, getting a hormone prescription. So that's just, you Speaker 3 (13:14): Could tell me more about this . Yeah, I need your info please. Thank you. Speaker 1 (13:20): Yeah. So we'll cover that. But in nutrition, what do you think is the most, what are the biggest issues you see for women in perimenopause and menopause with their nutrition and where do they have the biggest impact in those symptoms? If they're really gonna master their lifestyle to help master their hormones, where do they start? Speaker 3 (13:44): So I have three menno laws for fat loss and they're very simple and very straightforward and completely doable for everybody. So number one is to optimize your protein intake. And most people think they're eating and enough protein without understanding the research. And this always upsets the vegetarians and vegans. But I'm telling you what worked for you in your twenties and thirties does not work in your forties, fifties and beyond. So, and it's challenging for women because a lot of times during perimenopause and menopause, the gut changes, right? The digestive fire really decreases our, we don't produce as much stomach acid. The lining of the small intestine changes as progesterone and estrogen declines. So what happens is we feel like a lot of people say, I can't eat so much meat. It feels so heavy and they really struggle. It's another layer to struggle to optimize protein. Speaker 3 (14:42): But the research points that points to getting at least four ounces of protein at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Or if you're intermittent fasting, it's more challenging. You know, I say get at least seven to eight ounces of protein if you can at a meal and then have a little snack in between. But basically you need a minimum of a hundred grams of protein per day to not only maintain muscle mass, but really to build it. And a lot of people will have, you know, an egg for breakfast and maybe like a couple shrimp on a salad for lunch crumb or crumbled up chicken or an an egg. And then dinner is like the big meal, the steak, chicken, fish. So we really need to distribute evenly. Your body needs a minimum threshold of four ounces of protein at breakfast, lunch, dinner in order for you to optimize your anabolic capabilities or your ability to build muscle and plain in English. Speaker 3 (15:41): So that's something, just optimizing protein at breakfast is huge. So that can be done with a cup of cottage cheese, two eggs and two whites or two eggs plus some Turkey or ham or smoked salmon. A protein shake with two scoops of protein power. So if you're vegetarian you could do pea protein or you can do whey protein as well. So those are just some really simple easy strategies. Like just saying to someone, just add one more scoop of protein powder. They're like, oh, I can do that, no problem. Or just add a little more protein. What it does is protein raises serotonin and dopamine in the brain. So you're gonna offset your sugar cravings, you're gonna triple your energy and your mental focus and you're not gonna get the 4:00 PM crashes. So you will sleep better at night, again, crave less, better energy. Speaker 3 (16:33): And building muscle won't be as hard as it is already in menopause. It can be harder. So that's mental law number one, mental law number two is to make sure that you flip your ratios. And what do I mean by this? Make sure that if you're getting a hundred grams of carbs a hundred grams of protein a day or 120, then your carbs fall 70 to a hundred grams. You, most of us, most of the women I see have much greater carb to protein ratios and we need to flip those and have protein outweigh carbs. Now the carbs I'm talking about are the starchy carbs, unlimited, ve you know, vegetables don't, I don't count those towards your carbs. They have fiber and water. They're not gonna, nobody's getting fat on spinach and artichokes here, right? Watch your portions of rice or potatoes or sweet potatoes or, but they're still very beneficial, which is my mental law number three, which is to eat carbs at night. Speaker 3 (17:35): You know, protein by day, carbs at night. Why would I have you eat carbs at dinner? People think, oh my god, I'm gonna get so fat. That's ridiculous. You're far more insulin sensitive later on in the day than you are earlier in the day. And carbs again, you're gonna get a slight insulin bump even if you pair your carbs with a protein. And with vegetables, if you have, you know, a cup of sweet potatoes or quinoa or rice or lentils, yes your blood sugar will go up some and that tamps down your cortisol. So it really helps you sleep at night. And most people are like, wait, you're telling me to eat carbs? I get to eat more protein and feel less hungry. Like it's an abundance of riches at that point. Yeah. Speaker 1 (18:20): I was so surprised when you said that. Eat carbs at dinner. I know everyone's going Yes, , she said he carbs at dinner. Yes, exactly right. Yeah, I love that. Three fat loss. So protein for sure, you definitely, most of us women as we age, why do we do that? We lower and lower our protein, we don't get enough. And flipping the ratio of carbs to proteins and eating carbs at dinner mm-hmm. . So yeah, I see how that could really help. Insulin resistance is such a problem for perimenopausal and menopausal women. Do you have any other tips that you could offer them to help with their insulin? Mm-Hmm. ? Speaker 3 (19:03): Yes. So the next level, okay, so those are like kind of the foundations for fat loss. But let's say you're like Esther, I'm not, I'm not hungry in the morning. Like a lot of my menopausal mamas just aren't even hungry in the morning. And so for those women, I really love intermittent fasting and there's three ways you can do intermittent fasting and why intermittent fasting just means really simply shortening your eating window. And it's really beneficial in resetting those insulin receptors because your body has to dig deep into your fat stores and it really resets your insulin receptors beautifully. So number one is you can start with a 12 hour fast. You finish your dinner by 7:00 PM you do not eat breakfast until 7:00 AM or later. That's like a really gentle fast. See how you do with that? Just cutting out nighttime eating can be very beneficial. Speaker 3 (19:55): Then number two is you can really shorten your window to, you know, between 10 and six or 12 and six, getting, you know, a good six to eight hour eating window that also shreds body fat and can really offset. And you know, if you want like black coffee or tea in the morning, that's fine, just dough, add anything to it or so you don't break your fast. And then option three, which I love is the five two method. And that's where you eat normally five days outta the week and then two days out of the week, ideally not next to each other. You have 500 calorie days and a 500 calorie day is usually not eating during the day. And then you have a supper meal where you have like a chicken breast, a half cup of starch and two cups of steamed vegetables. And that also that really restricted eating just not only burns body fat but really helps reset insulin sensitivity. Speaker 1 (20:56): Yeah. The, the 500 calorie diet, if you can do it, I can't, I'd almost, I do better not eating at all than eating 500 calories. Speaker 3 (21:06): Yes. Yes. And some women feel that way too and just wanna drink some bone broth or water. That's what, that's the thing, right? Is bioindividuality, like other women in my practice, cannot fast at all. It either triggers, you know, overeating later in the day, binge eating or disordered eating. So we don't wanna do that. Or if you're feeling just so shaky and irritable and you cannot even concentrate, it's probably not for you. Now if you fall in that camp, you're gonna need to eat more and move more. So most women I see have very stalled fat loss and kind of a sluggish thyroid. 'cause They've been chronically dieting like to the tune of nine to 1200 calories a day for years and years and years and they, the weight just isn't coming off. So mm-hmm. for those women, right? A you can try, you know, super low carb, I don't wanna use the word keto, but keeping your carbs like 50 to 70 grams a day for a couple of weeks and coming off then or only having carbs on your weightlifting days or, you know, my other option is to really, you know, walk at least 15,000 steps a day and go to the gym, lift heavy two to three times a week, learn. Speaker 3 (22:26): And you may say, well what's a heavy weight? Heavy weight is when it brings you to failure. After, you know, by the third set you can only do six to eight where you really just, your muscles just will not lift. And most of us are lifting far lighter than we need to be. We're a lot stronger than we think we are. So there's many ways to skin a cat. Some of my ladies, again, we diet them up, then we cut calories for a couple weeks, then we diet them up where we, we get them eating 15 to 1800 calories a day and they're losing weight. Other women do well with the fasting protocol. Other women do well just by bumping up their movement every day. So it's really, and and, and allowing yourself to be hungry, not snacking, you know, allowing four to five hours between meals and if you're hungry between meals, gotta bump up your protein. That's how you know you're not eating enough protein if you can't make it five hours between the meal. Speaker 1 (23:22): Yes. And the weights, talk a little bit about that. It's super important and most of us aren't doing any weights. Like we think it's all about the aerobics or we're not looking heavy enough. Weights, . And I like how you described it in your third set. You really shouldn't be able to do that many reps. That's how you're exhausting that muscle. A lot of women worry about getting bulky muscles. They don't want to, but gosh, who is it? I, I saw he said something like, it's survival of those with the best muscle mass or something like this. . Speaker 3 (23:54): Yes. Muscle is, Speaker 1 (23:55): It's all about muscle mass. Yeah. Talk Speaker 3 (23:57): About that. Muscle is the organ of longevity and ladies, you do not have the testosterone to bulk up. Okay? You're not Michael Phelps eating 5,000 calories a day and has the testosterone of a younger man. Even if you're using bioidentical testosterone, you're still getting a micro dose. You're not, you're not gonna look like a dude and what's gonna happen. And women will say, well I tend to bulk up. No, you're not cutting calories enough. If you're bulking up, you're probably eating too much. Even Arnold Schwartzenegger, at the height of his bodybuilding when he wanted to get lean, he cut down to 1500 calories a day. So you really have to think about your caloric intake and log your food if you think you're bulking up. So back to, so diet is 80% the weights yes, heavy weights. Some women will say four pounds is a lot. Speaker 3 (24:55): And, and listen, you can do Pilates. I've done Pilates classes with four pound weights where my arms just instantly burned because the muscles are really isolated. But it will work the muscle. But if you really truly wanna build the muscle, then yes, you do need to build up to 10 pounds, 15 pounds, 20 pounds, 30 pounds, you know it, you don't have to injure yourself or your joints. And you do it very slowly. Maybe you start off a month using, you know, five to eight pound weights and by the end of four weeks you're ramping up to eight to 12 pound weights. You're adding in one set worth of 10 pound weights, the first two sets where at eight pounds. So you can incrementally increase your weight or do one set as a warmup, a lighter weight, and get heavier weights with each progressive set. Speaker 1 (25:45): Yeah. I love lifting weights, . I can't say enough about it. I think it's the best way to like take out your frustrations and work out that stress and just go lift heavy things. Ladies, go lift heavy. There's a reason that guys have been doing it is because it makes them feel good mentally. I think it's almost more a mental than a physical exercise. Speaker 3 (26:08): Yes it is. And believe me, if it's any consolation, like I don't enjoy lifting weights. I enjoy how I feel after, and I enjoy having my booty look good in a pair of jeans or my arms look good in a tank top. It's all, it's vanity. Whatever works for you, do it. Or just knowing like, hey, I wanna get up off the floor, you know, in my 60 seventies and eighties the way I did in my twenties and thirties. Or hey, I don't wanna break a bone. I've got family history of, you know, osteoporosis and I, I don't wanna go down that road. I wanna offset my hospital bills and you know, my sick time because falls and fractures are the leading cause of death in people over the age of 65. Speaker 1 (26:50): Amen. And there's so much you can do to prevent that and we just think it's not gonna happen to us. Right, right. And the truth is it does happen to us. Yes. I'm wondering if you could talk about some of the most inspiring stories of women who are in perimenopause or menopause women you've worked with, you know, over the years who really stick in your mind. Because right now there are women listening to us talk who are sitting there going, yeah, yeah, yeah, I've heard all this diet, nutrition, weights. I feel like crap. My doctor can't help me. There's no hope for me. I am the exception. There's no answer and there's no Speaker 3 (27:29): Hope. Oh yeah. Speaker 1 (27:31): And what I want them to know is yes, there is, because I was that woman 20 years ago. Right now we are the light for those women. So can you talk about some of those most inspiring stories? Speaker 3 (27:46): Yes. Okay. And you can see her testimonials. She gives a video on my website, esther blum.com. You can see both recorded and written. So first I'm gonna speak about my client, Julie, who when she came to me, had so much pain, so much inflammation, everything from reflux to horrible back pain. She was very overweight. She couldn't do any physical exercise or so she thought, and she drank like a sailor, I mean really heavily relied on alcohol to take care of her stress and depression, which please, it's not an antidepressant, that's for sure. It worsens the situation. So I was like, Julie, get in your pool. Get in your pool. Just start moving. Just start moving your body. Thank God she had a pool. Then we got her to add in protein, we got her to cut back on booze. We got her, you know, we added in some supplements. Speaker 3 (28:45): We were very slowly and incrementally. She lost 40 pounds in a month just doing the most simple foundational. Now most people don't lose 40 pounds in a month. That's extreme. That's a lot, right? But so much of what she had was fluid retention and inflammation. So for her, it worked really well. She got her energy back, she decreased her back pain tremendously to the point where she converted her daughter's bedroom into a home gym and was able to lift and her husband came and lifted with her. So that was like a ginormous success story. Then I think of my client, Laura, who came to me, totally different, right? Laura didn't have a lot of weight to lose. She had about five pounds of vanity. She called 'em vanity pounds. She wanted to lose. And she had, she was a single mom and her son would always tell her she had halat ptosis. Speaker 3 (29:40): And she was like, oh my god, I can't possibly date this way. And she was drinking wine and she was also not sleeping. And she, although she was a candidate, you know, we did her tests. And although she was a candidate for hormones, she really did not wanna use biodentical hormones. She wanted to conquer this through lifestyle. So I said, okay. So again, we ran her labs, I did some stool testing. She had a significant amount of h pylori, which is a bacteria that loves to shut off hydrochloric acid production in the gut. So it survives in a very alkaline environment. So she was having all this reflux because she didn't have the hydrochloric acid, she needed to kind of keep her pyloric sphincter shut. So we killed off the h pylori repopulated, her gut with stomach acid. Her bad breath went away. She, we also cleaned up her diet. Speaker 3 (30:32): She, you know, again, we did have to clean out alcohol ladies, I'm not gonna lie, there's really no way around it. Alcohol doesn't do your body any favors. Even one drink a week is really disruptive to fat loss, blood sugar, and can keep you in an estrogen dominant state while your liver is trying to detox alcohol. It will detox alcohol long before estrogen. It's just the way it is. So anyway, we cleaned up Laura's diet. We gave her a lot of magnesium at bedtime and other calming nutrients. And her sleep greatly improved. She is in a long-term relationship and actually got engaged. She got rid of her halat ptosis and she, she lost five pounds. She got really lean and started lifting weights and really got very sinan and lean. So those are just two of my women. Again, their testimonials are on my website. So it is possible, it really, whether you wanna lose five pounds, whether you need to lose 75 pounds, pounds, it is possible. The greatest limiter is not your hormones. It's not your diet as much as your limiting beliefs around what you deserve to have and your commitment to yourself. That's really the rate limiting factor. It really is. Like talk, Speaker 1 (31:51): Just talk a little bit more about that and how it's, how would someone know that you're talking to her that she has limiting beliefs? Speaker 3 (31:58): Because we all have limiting beliefs. We've internalized messages that we heard when we were younger that made us feel not enough in one way or another. And so we have to really think about why we want something. Right? When someone wants to lose weight, I say, well, why do you wanna lose weight vanity? It really, I mean, vanity always comes up first, right? I wanna good my clothes, I wanna feel sexy and bad. I wanna feel confident. But then the why's go deeper. Like, I wanna be able to keep up with my grandchildren one day. I want a better quality of life. I watch my mother get sick and die from diabetes and have horrible neuropathy and not have a, not be able to travel and have fun in her life. It's really getting in touch with your why. Getting in touch with your beliefs about why you can't have those things. Speaker 3 (32:48): 'Cause We can all, like the universe, pores a vacuum. The universe wants us to be abundant, understanding that we're not supposed to be fat, sick and broke. We're supposed to be rich in love and relationships and financially abundant, but also abundant in how we love on ourselves. And asking ourselves really like, yeah, I want a bar of chocolate. I want a bottle of wine, but is that gonna love me back? We know it's not right. So maybe I cut down to one square of chocolate a couple times a week. Maybe I put myself on a 90 day alcohol free challenge and maybe I experiment and see what's the harm in trying this? What will happen? Let me just observe objectively what's gonna happen to my body, my state of mind, and let me try taking, you know, two or three classes on an app or on YouTube or hiring a trainer and you know, just figuring out instead of saying like, I can't have this, flipping that on its head and saying, how can I make this happen? Speaker 1 (33:56): Mm-Hmm. , Speaker 3 (33:57): How can I make this happen? Speaker 1 (34:00): Right? I think it's so true and, and more it has to do with what we believe we can have and can we do it. And I think so many of us just cut off. We don't believe that it's possible for us. We believe we're, we're terminally unique and that we we'll never be successful. And that's why I wanted you to share those stories. Thank you for sharing them. Yeah. there so that people can hear what's possible for women who think that there's no hope. 'cause There is so much to be hopeful for, right? Speaker 3 (34:30): Yes. And the other piece is really being so careful, and this is the greatest gift of midlife I have found, is being so careful who you surround yourself with. Because when you start to take on healthy diet changes and when you start to cut out alcohol, some people around you are probably not gonna like that. And the ones who don't like that are probably not gonna be your biggest supporters. They're like the bucket of crabs, right? You know the story about the bucket of crabs where, right. There's always a couple crabs at the top of the pile trying to crawl out of the bucket. They're like, I see it, I'm going for it. And then crabs at the bomb keep trying to pull those crabs right back down. So like, think about who you're surrounding yourself with. If you say to someone, oh yeah, I'm, I'm not drinking right now, not, I can't drink, I'm not drinking right now. Speaker 3 (35:21): And somebody's like, come on, just one, it's not gonna hurt. That's not someone you wanna socialize with, right? You wanna socialize with the people who say, good for you. Great. I'll join you. Let's get a mocktail, let's get some club soda, whatever. Because it's, you have to one of my greatest tenets of success is surrounding myself with people who are far wealthier and successful and have a growth mindset, a way bigger growth mindset than me. That dream bigger than I ever even knew was possible. I'm like, oh, I never thought about that. Those are the people you're gonna need to clean house with these changes. And that's why I think also people are deeply terrified to change because they don't Speaker 1 (36:01): Wanna, 'cause they're gonna let go. Speaker 3 (36:03): They wanna let go of what feels very unsafe and very uncomfortable for them. Change is uncom, Speaker 1 (36:09): Right? And these are, it is, but it is the only sure thing in life is change. And why not make it positive change if you have a choice. This week on the Exciting & New Podcast, the boys welcome back Dana, as they discuss the 1983 Keaton/Garr classic, Mr Mom. If there was ever a time capsule movie to show what 1983 looked like, it's this movie. Woman in the workforce, boardrooms full of groping, cigarette-smoking men, in-home tv repairmen (who's a woman), this movie has it all. But does it hold up to the E&N critics? Grab a scotch, a .38 (or .39, whatever it takes) and sit back and listen to the podcast.
