Author and activist David Silverman is one of the best-known atheists in the United States. He has been a leading voice in the atheism movement for decades, previously serving as President for American Atheists and Executive Director for Atheist Alliance International. He broke ranks with these organizations when they were captured by the “religion of wokeism.” David is now the advisory board chair for Atheists for Liberty, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization promoting secularism, free speech, and enlightenment values. He is the author of "Fighting God: An Atheist Manifesto for a Religious World." We discussed the serious trouble that Atheist Alliance International is in with the California Secretary of State and the State of California Franchise Tax Board, which could see them having to use tens of thousands of dollars of donated money to pay outstanding taxes and penalties. The "board" of AAI have never said anything about this to their donors, even though they've known about it for at least the past two years.

Atheist Alliance International will definitely not be discussed. If we do discuss them, we will look at the unfulfilled promises they have issued since criticisms have been leveled against them. #AtheistAllianceInternational

Lawrence Krauss is an internationally known theoretical physicist and bestselling author, as well as being an acclaimed lecturer. He is currently President of The Origins Project Foundation, and host of The Origins Podcast, His wide research interests have focused on the interface between elementary particle physics and cosmology, including the origin and evolution of the Universe and the fundamental structure of matter. Merry Christmas from The Triple Po! Lyman was busy doing family things, so it was just me hosting, but I was lucky enough to get Amy Kuhel from The Ginger Snaps to come on! We talked about difficult it can be for be some people on the holidays, especially those disowned by their family because they are LGBTQ and/or an atheist. We also talked about the serial sexual assaulter David Silverman being caught again touching women again without their consent. Fortunately, he was fired by Atheist Alliance International for this latest transgression, although they shouldn't have hired his creepy ass to begin with. We also just had some fun talking about various and sundry subjects. I hope everyone had a Happy Whatever The Fuck You Celebrate! 

A new episode of The Triple Po is upon us! This week is a news week, wherein Lyman and I give our important dudebro hot takes on current events. First off, I wanted to promote my good friend Melina Barrett and her run for Florida Senate, District 5. Melina Barratt is a trans woman running on progressive policies. I don't have to tell y'all how much we need people like her in Florida and in the South generally. I am including her information and where you can donate in the show notes. We also gave a shot-out to my friend Robbin Renaud for her kind words about the podcast. She is an awesome person, and I greatly appreciate her compliment! Lyman and I discussed several topics this week. -  The shooting at a Pensacola airbase by a Saudi Air Force officer -  The stabbings at London Bridge inspired by terrorism -  Trump's order regarding Judaism in relation to Title IX -  David Silverman being suspended yet again, this time from Atheist Alliance International, because of sexual harassment allegations -  Nikki Haley's statement regarding the Confederate flag being ‘hijacked' by Dylan Roof And we talked about what alcohol we were consuming. So, basically just two guys hanging and running their mouths about the news. Enjoy!

It's episode 100 of The Triple Po! I first wanted to thank my patrons for giving their hard earned money to a show of questionable value. Y'all are truly awesome. And of course I want to thank everyone who has listened to the show, given me feedback, and been supportive overall. It really means a lot, and I really do appreciate it.  Of course, the new episode name and logo was unveiled this episode. The name is The Postmodern Polymaths, which is a bit of a poke at those pretentious fucks such as Jordan Peterson who ramble on incessantly about 'postmodernism' and 'cultural Marxism' ruining our world and making everyone into snowflakes. Of course, we all know what an incoherent and pseudo-intellectual douchecanoe Peterson and his ilk are. Unfortunately, there are a lot Angry White Dudes who listen to him, and they have been know to do some crazy shit. After the unveiling, Lyman and myself talked about the shooting in Santa Clarita, where three kids died in a high school shooting, including the shooter. Of course we talk about the prevalence of these sort of events, and the lack of political will to do anything about it thanks to the fact that so many politicians are in the pockets of the NRA. We talked about the necessity of background checks and the fetishizing of guns in general. On a cautiously optimistic note, we spoke about how a judge has allowed a law suit against Remington to go forward. I am pessimistic that anything will come of it, but maybe this will open the floodgates to more of these kind of suits being filed. We talked about an excellent article written by Krista Cox about her disenfranchisement from the atheist community, mainly due to men behaving badly, and the lack of accountability they face. She of course also talks about how David Silverman was able to ride the road to redemption to become general director of Atheist Alliance International, despite his demonstrable record of bad choices and shitty behavior. It's infuriating, but unfortunately not surprising. Thanks again to everyone who has listened to and supported the show. I am humbled and thankful that so many have taken time out to listen to my rambling. Here's to 100 more!

He is a tutor, a writer, and a speaker focusing on various fields including metacognition, critical thinking, theory of mind, logic and cognitive approaches to AI development. He has a background in Political Science, Sociology, Modern History and Philosophy. He is currently a member of the National Executive at Atheist Ireland and he has previously served as Secretary of Atheist Alliance International. His work at Atheist Ireland has included a number of campaigns, including bringing to an end the practice of Irish universities in awarding without tender, millions of €uros in public money annually to the Roman Catholic Church for chaplaincy services. He also participated in the first ever formal meeting between the sitting Irish Prime Minister and an atheist advocacy group.

This week Pontus and Jelena talks about news and have an interview with the humanist Leo Igwe, speaker at the upcoming European Skeptcis Congress in Poland. Nicola Throp of the Measeyside Skeptics also comes on to tell us all about QED in Manchester in October. Leo Igwe is a skeptic and a Nigerian human rights advocate who has played leading roles in the Nigerian Humanist Movement, Atheist Alliance International and the Center For Inquiry - Nigeria. For many years he represented IHEU (International Humanist and Ethical Union) at the African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights and generally in Western and Southern Africa. He specialized in campaigning against child witchcraft accusations and have researched this topic at the University of Bayreuth in Germany.
