In this episode of r/neckbeardstories we come across the very rare ftm transgender neckbeard. Even rarer than that? This neckbeard also doesn't completely fail at personal hygiene. That doesn't make his actions in the story any less gross or disturbing. It doesn't matter what your background is, you always need to treat people like people and not use them simply to get off. Neckbeards seem to learn this lesson particularly slow and it really does make my blood boil... So we must bring it to light so others don't suffer alone. Send us a textOur under-the-radar story of the week is asking about why a fan would grab a baseball from a kid at the game? Grabbing a hat away from a kid? What is wrong with #baseball fans? It wasn't enough to have #Yankees fans thrown out of the playoff games last year for interfering with a play. Fans are behaving badly all over the place! #Astros Framber Valdez behaved oddly when he seemingly crossed up his own catcher and hit the guy in the chest with a pitch. Bizarre! NL playoff teams seem pretty set. AL still has a WC race. AL East has tightened - will the #Bluejays give up the lead? They got swept in NY this weekend. Cal Raleigh has tied the all-time record for home runs in a season while catching with 42. Whose record did he tie? Our stat-of-the week - if you are a baseball fan how much baseball do you watch? Do you watch the entire game often? Sometimes? Never? 162 games is an awesome commitment compared to watching a team play 17 #NFL games.Intro & Outro music this season courtesy of Mercury Maid! Because that's what's going to have to happen then. We're going to have to stop in the middle of the podcast. Mom leave. Why isn't she just going to leave and she's going to try to edit that out? Oh, you want to edit that part out? Right. That's why I just leave right now. That's why I'm saying it's much easier for you to start it. Leave. That's going to be why are fans behaving so badly? It's this week in baseball. Yoshinobu Yamamoto, as you well know now, almost had a no-hitter.Right down to his final out against the Orioles and you know, we thought he was going to be able to do it. And then boy, did that turn around. Right. Not just one swing of the bat, but what happened afterwards? He didn't just lose the no hitter. He lost the game. And that's the strange thing. So Jackson holiday hits the home run to break up the no hitter. And I think I'm not sure how many, but there's a lot www.almostcooperstown.com

Send us a textWho gets to say what God is like? For many, the early answers were simple: God is good, loving, and holy. But as you grow, those answers get more complicated. The Bible's portraits of God are not one-dimensional—they include the God who liberates and loves, but also the God who floods, rages, and stays silent. The tradition itself preserves these tensions, refusing to sanitize the divine image. In this episode, we explore how our images of God are always filtered—through culture, trauma, power, or longing. We want a God who looks like what we most need: a liberator for the oppressed, a warrior for soldiers, a philosopher's unchanging ideal, or a gentle shepherd. But the mosaic is bigger than any single frame. Wrestling with unfamiliar or uncomfortable images of God may be the very thing that expands us.Faith, then, isn't about certainty—it's about relationship, even struggle. Scripture itself makes room for bargaining, lament, doubt, and anger. What if your unraveling is actually the path to a deeper encounter with God? In a world of loss, injustice, and unanswered prayers, you don't need a cleaned-up God. You need a God who holds light and dark together, and who isn't afraid of your questions—because maybe God is in your questions. For Text and Rock Poetry, Podcasts, and Video Content or to contact Mark and Eric, visit us at www.textandrock.com. In 2023, Apex Analytics conducted research for the Regional Technical Forum (RTF) to characterize the electric vehicle (EV) market. The study's goal was to assess the EV market, determine “competition” groups, testing methods, data availability, energy efficiency and DR opportunities, with the end goal to determine the potential for the RTF to develop a new efficiency savings measure. The study was focused on personal, light-duty battery EVs. The study identified two approaches to determining EV efficiency but found significant issues with each thereby limiting the potential for developing a measure.

Artificial Intelligence can be a great help in todays world, and it is integrating more and more into our daily lives. But when it behaves badly, it has to be called out and something has to be done. Lets look at recent studies and investigations of how AI is behaving badly.
What. A. Weekend. The US Open had everything. Drama, comebacks, fadeouts, bad weather, amazing shots, and on the final day at various times any one of half a dozen players were a genuine chance to win. So good.We do of course start the show by talking about the US Open and the incredible win of J.J. Spaun. Mark talks about how Spaun describes himself as a 'bad luck golfer', but he made his own luck at Oakmont. That final putt was unbelievable. We discuss the comments that his coach made to him during the rain break about 'trying too hard', and Mark compares Spaun's actions in the break to Minnesota Fats in the movie The Hustler. Nick muses about what the scores might have been had the greens been firm, and we talk about that drive on 17 from Spaun. We discuss Adam Scott, a real chance going into Sunday and unfortunately a tough final round so he didn't finish the way he'd have liked. Mark described it as 'brutal to watch'. Nick and Mark discuss Scotty's reputation as a bit serious vs the reality of their experiences with him, and Nick explains why he 'hates Adam Scott'.Nick and Mark give their view on the Sam Burns relief (or lack of) ruling on Sunday, and Mark says whilst the ruling may have been technically correct, it means the rule is wrong.Nick forgot to put his phone on mute before the pod, but it works out well as he gets a text from US Tour Pro Austin Truslow who played the US Open, so we decide to call him back live and have a chat. Austin explains what playing Oakmont was like, how he approached it, and about hitting balls with J.J. Spaun on the Monday prior. Nick asks Austin what a 5-handicapper would shoot at Oakmont. There was some bad behaviour at the Open. Namely Rory McIlroy and Wyndham Clark. We discuss. In light of Spauns stunning winning putt, the Top 5 from Nick is the 5 greatest shots ever made to win their first mens major. Has he missed one? Competition time. Let us know if there is one Nick has missed and he will choose one wolkfpacker to win a Talk Birdie Prize Pack with $250 to spend at the Golf Clearance Outlet (instore or online) and a team entry into the Golfies 2-person Ambrose event, with the major prize a 25 grand trip to Thailand. Find out details and enter here. Remember - discount code 'Birdies' gets you 40% off your entry. As you'd imagine, feedback is heavily on the US Open today, but Dan gives Mark a whack for fighting with wolfpackers on social media. Mark defends himself saying that some people deserve to be whacked and he is happy to do it. PING globals from Nick, obviously Oakmont, but plenty of other great performances going on including an amazing result from a 15 year old women's amateur beating the pros ! And on Saturday Adam Scott showed some exceptional bunker play, and Marks masterclass today is on Scotty's bunker shots. We're live from Titleist and FootJoy HQ thanks to our great partners:Titleist, the #1 ball in golf;FootJoy, the #1 shoe and glove in golf;PING will help you play your best. This has been a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad year on social media so far but the last two weeks have been the worst so far. Sometimes, when grownups and kids are in front of a computer and can't be punched, the say the most terrible things you can imagine to others--things they wouldn't ever say if they were in front of the person. And if they would say those things in person, they need Jesus really bad. So, we are going to talk about body shaming and insults and how we should treat one another. This week on Driving Law, Kyla and Paul delve into a trio of compelling legal topics with wide-reaching implications. First, Kyla discusses a fresh Supreme Court of Canada ruling on miscarriages of justice, focusing on whether appellate courts can enter acquittals in cases where post-plea evidence reveals a wrongful conviction. The decision stems from a case involving undisclosed exculpatory evidence, and the outcome confirms courts can enter an acquittal if a new trial is unnecessary. Then, they explore the disciplinary suspension of a BC lawyer who received a 90-day IRP and attempted to leverage his status to avoid consequences—an act deemed "conduct unbecoming" by the Law Society. Kyla and Paul unpack the implications for lawyers and other regulated professionals who blur the lines between personal misconduct and professional ethics. Finally, they revisit the Bajwa case, where a man with a long history of driving prohibitions was filmed using the toilet at a police station after his arrest. Despite the Charter breach, the judge declined a stay of proceedings and instead considered the violation at sentencing. The case led to a nuanced ruling that balanced serious public safety concerns, collateral immigration consequences, and the art of sentencing—offering a detailed legal analysis that Kyla calls “a law school course in one decision.” Check out the 'Lawyer Told Me Not To Talk To You' T-shirts and hoodies at Lawyertoldme.com and 'Sit Still Jackson' at sitstilljackson.com.
In this fiery and opinionated monologue, the host unpacks the controversy surrounding over 1.4 million alleged illegal immigrants receiving Medicaid benefits, highlighting what they describe as large-scale fraud by Democrat-led states. The discussion includes reactions from GOP leaders like Speaker Mike Johnson and Dr. Oz, who argue the issue isn't Medicaid cuts but the removal of ineligible recipients. The episode then pivots sharply to shocking revelations about French President Emmanuel Macron's relationship history and a bizarre prison escape involving a former Arkansas police chief convicted of rape and murder. A mix of political commentary, investigative outrage, and eyebrow-raising international headlines.
Feedback pod today, and we've got plenty of comments and questions from the Wolfpack. We start with a message from a young bloke who might have a future in this crazy game - Bradley Hughes - with a comment on Royal Melbourne Composite, which is hard to argue with. That feedback from Hugo reminds Nick that he also left a voicemail last week with some clarity on the Tiger Woods missing ball incident, providing some info that neither Nick or Mark were aware of. Mark decides that we have to get Tiger's caddy Steve Williams on the pod. We'll work on that.Matt asks if there are any holes on the Royal Melbourne East course that are better than the West, and if so what are they. Nick and Mark run through a few and explain why. Hurmeez thinks the Australian Open should be at Royal Melbourne on the Composite each year - Nick and Mark give their view. And Jonesy from Sydney feels it should be at a different course each year, but only on Sandbelt courses.Mark would love to see Coolum get a major tournament again, particularly now there are no dinosaurs on the course.Pete has a request for a guest following the recent Portsea Pub story. And then after the turn, we head to the US, to Nebraska in fact, where wolfpacker Matthew would like to discuss the greatest shot ever made, and place some criteria around it. A good chat with Matthew, with some fun interruptions from his cat.A couple of weeks ago we had a caption contest for the picture of Nick's caddy Wilbur at Augusta - we've got three finalists from a massive amount of entries (we edited out the ones that were insanely rude - there was a surprising amount), and we have 3 finalists, plus an extra one from an ineligible entrant who is a current tour pro, thus why he can't enter!A comment on a 'missed mulligan', and some feedback on a bit of gear that he bought from Golf Clearance Outlet from Ray, which has changed his game. And we spoke a week ago about 9-year old Jasper who is killing it - Paul sees Jasper each week in the simulator where he works, and gave us some of Jaspers figures.....woah....we have to get him on the pod for a chat, we'll sort that. We're live from Titleist and FootJoy HQ thanks to our great partners:Titleist, the #1 ball in golf;FootJoy, the #1 shoe and glove in golf;PING will help you play your best.
