In this episode of The Roller Coaster Podcast, I sat down with someone whose story shook me to my core, Bruce Pitcher. You might know him from Extreme Weight Loss, but trust me, that's just the surface.Bruce's journey is one of the most raw and powerful I've ever heard. From surviving childhood sexual abuse by his own father, who was later convicted and imprisoned, to living through years of silence, shame, and suicidal thoughts, Bruce opens up about the pain, the survival mode, and the uphill battle to rebuild his life. But this is not a story of defeat. It's one of redemption. Bruce lost over 200 pounds, built a coaching empire, became a father, and, more than anything, reclaimed his identity. In this conversation, he shares the emotional moment his suicide attempt failed and how that “failure” saved his life.If you've ever felt broken, unseen, or stuck in your past, this episode is a reminder that belief, especially when it's hard to hold onto, is the most powerful thing you can have. This one is heavy. It's honest. And it just might change how you see yourself.Key Moments.0:00 The Day the Police Took My Dad1:16 A Son's Desperate Need for Love7:01 Why Victims Stay Silent13:07 I Found Comfort in Food15:07 God Had a Plan, Even Through the Pain24:24 This Letter Changed My Life29:18 It's the Little Victories That Matter Most33:14 I Gained Weight Again, But I'm Not Hiding36:21 The Day I Tried to End My Life43:17 My Addiction Is Food45:25 What I Want My Son to RememberGuest Info.Instagram: @brucepitcher (https://www.instagram.com/brucepitcher/)YouTube: @brucethepit (https://www.youtube.com/user/brucethepit)-Where to find Tyler Hall: LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tylerchall/ Newsletter: https://www.linkedin.com/newsletters/the-tyler-hall-archives-7018241874482122753/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/sirTHALL Work with Tyler: https://www.tylerchristianhall.com/

In this episode of Next Level, a well-known fitness trainer and transformation expert, Bruce Pitcher joins us. Bruce chats with me about his journey from weighing 420 pounds and losing 201 pounds in a year. Bruce was featured on the hit ABC show Extreme Weight Loss with celebrity trainers Chris and Heidi Powell. Through his transformation journey, Bruce learned the keys to success: mastering your mindset, keeping your promises to yourself, and learning to love yourself unconditionally. Bruce opens up about what led him to obesity and the tools and tactics he used to regain his health. No matter what struggles you face or what tragedies you've dealt with, Bruce will give you the empowerment you need to reach your goals, love yourself, and build a better future. My favorite quotes from Bruce in this episode... “How do I not love myself enough to do these things for my health and happiness? This became my ‘why'– find unconditional love for myself.” “My macros, diet, and workouts didn't matter if my mindset wasn't right. Once I fixed my mindset, I became unstoppable.” Find more from Bruce: Instagram: @brucepitcher Book: Larger Than Life

Sometime last year my good friend Bruce Pitcher told me about this Fit2Fat2Fit guy that gained a bunch of weight and then lost it. It wasn't until this interview that I understood the full story behind why Drew Manning did this. Talk about dedication to your craft! This guy gained 75 lbs and lost it so that he could relate to his overweight clients better. Wow. He and I both agree that the diet and training aren't nearly the biggest factors to successful transformation. We spend the majority of the time talking about the emotional side. We talked about the highs and lows of his experiment and how he uses that to relate to his clients today. In this episode you'll learn: -Drew's original inspiration for the whole experiment -His diet he used to gain 75lbs of fat -His diet and training he used to lose it all -The emotional challenges that come with losing weight -What he learned about people losing weight, and how trainers can use it to help their clients Check out the Fit 2 Fat 2 Fit website. Also check out the Dollar Workout Club, where you pay $1/week for tons of free workouts and content that you can do at your house. There is literally no excuse to not train when there are resources like this out there.

This week's interview is with Bruce Pitcher. Obviously watching any of the weight loss shows such as “Biggest Loser” and “Extreme Weight Loss” are impressive and inspiring. I had honestly never paid much attention to the people’s actual stories. I had a naïve, almost mean view of people that were extremely overweight. I thought they were just lazy, weak people that chose not to put the fork down. Then I watched Bruce Pitcher’s episode of Extreme Weight Loss, and I couldn’t have been more wrong. Bruce’s story is one of pain and destruction, abandonment, shame, and anger. Eating was a coping mechanism. What Bruce overcame was way more than losing 200lbs in a year. He conquered his demons. I hope every one of you can gain some perspective and inspiration from this show. Enjoy.
