Irresistible You: Lose the Emotional Weight | Body Image | Confidence | Weight Loss

In this episode, I'm talking honestly about weight loss burnout. The mental exhaustion that comes from constantly thinking about food, planning meals, trying to “be good,” starting over, tracking, and feeling like your body is always a project that needs fixing.I also share what this experience has been like for me while being on Tirzepatide. The food noise is quieter, but now I find myself in this strange in-between space where I'm hungry, but nothing sounds good. I take a few bites and feel full… while somehow still feeling hungry at the same time. And honestly? I'm tired. This episode isn't anti-weight loss. It's about what happens when your entire life starts revolving around shrinking yourself, and the realization that maybe peace matters too.Because you deserve a life bigger than calorie counting.Show Notes

Have you ever known what God told you to do — and just... didn't do it? In this raw and deeply transparent episode 160, I share what happened during a personal fast that cracked her wide open and changed everything. After losing 80 pounds with the Lord, gaining most of it back, and quietly struggling to follow instructions God gave me back in January, I went on a water fast seeking answers. What happened on day five — a simple protein drink, the voice of Holy Spirit, and one moment of intentional disobedience — led to the most powerful encounter with God I've ever experienced. I felt the grief of the Holy Spirit. And then I felt His presence wash it all away. This episode is for you if you've been fighting your weight loss journey from the outside in — focusing on the physical while the spiritual and soul roots go untouched. I get real about the spirit of rebellion, partial obedience, pride as a leader, and why God is now putting my weight loss journey on display — from the very beginning, not after the victory — so He gets all the glory. You are not alone. You are not the only one struggling. And there is freedom available to you — not through another diet, but through trust and obedience to the One who made you.

From the dancefloor to wearing full Bana 24/7; Dharmveer Singh's journey to Sikhi is one of the most honest, inspiring and relatable stories we've ever heard on this podcast. Born and bred in Edinburgh, Scotland, Dharmveer grew up in a typical Punjabi household, Gurdwara on Sundays, meat on the table, and clubs on the weekends. But something was pulling him in a different direction. A cousin's invitation to a Rehras Sahib class, a moment in a nightclub mirror, and a heart attack at just 38 years old all became turning points on a path that would lead him to Amrit, full Bana, and a life devoted to Waheguru. This is a conversation about faith, identity, family pressure, and what it really means to live as a Gursikh in today's world, told with complete honesty, warmth, and a healthy dose of Scottish humour.IN THIS EPISODE WE COVER: 0:00 Key Moments 2:28 Introduction 6:56 Dharmveer Singh's Background: Growing Up Sikh in Scotland 8:57 Previous Lifestyle: Clubbing & Dancing to Hip-Hop 10:07 Dancing in a Bhangra Music Video on Arthur's Seat 11:19 Drinking & Peer Pressure: Being Transparent 13:17 His Father's Influence: The Principles That Kept Him Grounded 15:07 Keeping His Kes: The Moustache Biting Story 17:12 The Turning Point: A Cousin's Invitation 18:53 Discovering Rehras Sahib: The Sounds That Hit His Soul 20:21 Becoming Vegetarian: A Quiet Sign from Waheguru 24:43 What the Rehras Sahib Classes Really Meant 26:32 Bhatt Sikh Heritage: Who Are the Bhatts & Their Contribution to Gurbani 31:22 Exploring the Path of Sikhi: Karpan, Chola & Walking Out of the Club 41:07 Clubbing & Sikhi: The Mirror Moment That Changed Everything 44:31 Sikhi Is a Journey, Not a Race (Sahaj Pakke So Meetha) 49:40 The Road to Amrit: Being Told He Couldn't Take It Alone 53:57 Love in Sikhi: What Keeps Him in Chardi Kala 58:35 Challenges & Backlash: Being Pulled Off Stage 1:02:19 Wearing Bana 24/7: Job Interview in Full Bana & the Kirpan at Work 1:08:16 Spreading Sikhi: Schools, Police Stations & the Shetland Islands 1:13:13 The Impact of Sikhi: Becoming a Better Version of Himself 1:15:41 Advice for Those Earlier on Their Sikhi Journey 1:18:48 Struggling Through COVID: Losing Sangat & the Gurdwara Closing 1:20:51 Heart Attack at 38 & the Weight Loss Journey 1:27:14 Final Message: Stay in Chardi Kala 1:31:54 Quick Fire Round 1:37:40 Word from the Previous Guest: Shanti 1:38:28 Conclusion If this episode inspired you, please share it with someone who needs to hear it. In this episode, Lisa continues her deep dive into intentional weight loss through a trauma‑informed, mind‑body‑spirit lens. Building on previous discussions about Maslow's hierarchy and conscious decision‑making, she explores what it truly means to approach weight loss from love, presence, and self‑leadership rather than fear, shame, or diet‑culture conditioning. Lisa reflects on a recent conversation from the Mind and Fitness podcast, where a listener experienced “effortless” weight loss after shifting his mindset. She explains that mindset alone doesn't change the scale—mindset changes behaviors, and behaviors change outcomes. Lisa emphasizes the necessity of waking up and becoming conscious, intentional, and present in your relationship with food, your body, and yourself. Weight loss cannot be passive or dissociated.Topics Include:Conscious Creation & Self‑EnergyLove vs. Fear as a MotivatorBringing All Parts of You Along[0:56] Lisa announces several upcoming opportunities for deeper community engagement, including the first live Patreon Q&A happening Thursday, May 22, 2026 at 6 PM EDT, ongoing Patreon membership tiers at $5, $10, and $25 per month offering behind‑the‑scenes content and live calls, and a five‑day in‑person Omega retreat from July 12–17, 2026.[5:28] Lisa explains that sustainable weight loss requires operating from a higher level of consciousness by taking full responsibility, waking up from “passenger seat” patterns, and stepping into true ownership of food decisions; she highlights Eddie Lindenstein's experience, where moving from self‑force to self‑worth naturally changed his eating behaviors and led to effortless weight loss, demonstrating how internal shifts must translate into physical action to create real results.[13:05] Lisa highlights that sustainable weight loss happens when it is driven by self‑love and safety rather than fear‑based control, noting that love sustains long‑term alignment while fear only fuels short bursts of effort; she also emphasizes the need to fully grieve and accept personal responsibility for every food‑related choice because many people stall until this responsibility truly lands. [28:28] Lisa explains that intentional weight loss requires pairing inner work by continually aligning mindset with nutrient‑dense, high‑volume, low‑calorie eating while observing outcomes and iterating an act of self‑love, liberation, and self‑actualization rather than self‑loathing allow the pursuit to become an embodied expression of growth and personal freedom.[47:17] Lisa underscores the importance of grounding intentional weight loss in safety by maintaining clear health boundaries while accessing capital‑S Self energy from IFS and spiritual frameworks (presence, perspective, patience, playfulness, persistence; calm, clarity, courage, curiosity, compassion, confidence, connection, creativity) so that behavior change arises from wholeness and self‑leadership rather than deficiency‑driven pursuit.. [54:16] Lisa teaches that readiness for intentional weight loss requires reliably meeting basic needs—eating when hungry, stopping when full, and trusting food consistency—because the same behaviors can be safe or unsafe depending on the energy behind them; she reminds listeners that they are spiritual beings who have bodies, not bodies who occasionally feel spiritual, and she emphasizes integrating and honoring all past selves rather than exiling them, modeling this through keeping old photos visible and her “302” tattoo as a way of carrying her history with love and sustaining long‑term change.Embody Peace With Food: A Revolutionary Holistic Approach - Omega Institute: July 12-17, 2026LISA IS NOW ACCEPTING: One-on-One Clients!Purchase the OOTC book of 50 Journal PromptsLeave Questions and Feedback for Lisa via OOTC Pod Feedback Form Email Lisa: lisa@lisaschlosberg.comOut of the Cave Merch - For 10% off use code SCHLOS10Lisa's Socials: Instagram Facebook YouTube

In episode 158 of Overweighted, we're looking at the story of Samson and Delilah through the lens of Christian weight loss, food temptation, emotional eating, and spiritual warfare. Because many of us have something in our weight loss journey that keeps pressing, pulling, tempting, and weakening us — and until we recognize what it is, we'll keep being overpowered by the same patterns. Samson thought he could keep playing around with Delilah and still remain strong. But the very thing he entertained became the thing that exposed his weakness. And for many Christian women, the same thing is happening in their weight loss journey. You may think you can keep playing around with certain cravings, comfort eating, emotional eating patterns, “just this once” compromises, and start-over cycles without it affecting you. But eventually, what you keep entertaining will begin to weaken you. This episode is not about dieting harder, finding more motivation, or trying to control yourself in your own strength. This is about recognizing the spiritual battle behind the patterns that keep pulling you back, learning how to stop partnering with what weakens you, and choosing to follow God in your weight loss journey instead. If you've been stuck in food temptation, emotional eating, overeating, or the Monday-start-over cycle, this episode will help you see the battle differently and recognize why some things cannot be managed — they have to be surrendered. In this episode, we talk about: What Samson and Delilah reveal about temptation and compromise Why playing with temptation is dangerous in your weight loss journey How the same patterns keep weakening you spiritually and physically Why Christian weight loss requires spiritual warfare, not just willpower Why you cannot keep entertaining what God is calling you to flee from How to stop letting cravings, comfort, and compromise lead you What it means to walk by the Spirit in your weight loss journey This is for the Christian woman who knows her weight loss journey is not just physical — it's spiritual. The thing that keeps weakening you does not get to lead you. The thing that keeps tempting you does not get to rule you. And Delilah does not get to keep cutting your strength. Listen now and let's talk about the Delilah in your weight loss journey. ✨ NEXT STEP If you're ready to stop starting over and actually address the spirit and soul side of your weight loss journey, join Whole + Holy Girls ClubTM: wholeandholygirls.club

What if the biggest threat to your health journey isn't rebellion — it's almost following through? In episode 157, we're cracking open one of the most convicting stories in Scripture: King Saul's fatal mistake in 1 Samuel 15. Saul was given clear instructions from God. He followed most of them. He kept some of what he was told to destroy. He even believed he had obeyed. And yet God called it rejection. Sound familiar? Partial obedience is one of the most deceptive traps we face — not just spiritually, but in our health and weight loss journeys too. And because we're doing so much, we genuinely believe we're being obedient. That self-deception is exactly what makes partial obedience so dangerous. We'll dig into why partial obedience is still disobedience, how it quietly stalls our progress while keeping us feeling like we're on track, and why that false sense of compliance may be the very thing keeping you stuck. If you've ever said "I'm doing everything right" and still not seeing results — this episode is for you. In this episode: Why Saul's story is a mirror for our health journey How "mostly following the plan" keeps you spinning your wheels The danger of redefining the rules to justify our exceptions Practical steps toward full obedience — not perfection, but wholehearted commitment ✨ NEXT STEP If you're ready to go deeper and actually walk this out, join my community: http://wholeandholygirls.club

Heather Creekmore dives deep into the commonly misunderstood difference between condemnation and conviction—especially when it comes to food, eating habits, and our journeys around body image and weight loss. Drawing from her 40-Day Body Image Workbook, Heather Creekmore unpacks why so many of us feel trapped in shame and guilt over our choices and how to discern whether the voices in our heads are actually leading us closer to God or away from Him. Using relatable stories (like Girl Scout cookie season temptations!) and biblical truth, Heather Creekmore explains how condemnation shames and separates us, while conviction gently guides and restores hope. She explores how diet culture often tricks us into believing that shame can help us "shape up," when in fact, Scripture says there’s no condemnation for those in Christ. You’ll also hear practical ways to tune into the Holy Spirit’s conviction instead of the enemy’s lies, and why making Satan your accountability partner is never the right choice. If you’re tired of negative self-talk and need to feel the difference between healthy conviction and harmful condemnation, this episode is for you! Send us a text if you want to be on the Podcast & explain why!A brand-new Equinox trainer asks a simple question with huge stakes: how do you program for a 54-year-old lawyer who's 260 pounds, 42% body fat, fresh off a divorce, and dead set on getting to 200? We walk through exactly how we'd run the first two Equifit sessions so the client feels safe, seen, and genuinely excited to come back, not crushed and embarrassed after 15 minutes. We get specific on the assessment that makes you look like a true professional, including why taking blood pressure and resting heart rate is a credibility multiplier and a real service to the client. From there, we map out a “Goldilocks” first workout: warm-up with engagement, smart upper-body work before heavy legs, simple circuits built on push, pull, core, carries, and accessories that keep the session fun without turning it into random chaos. The goal is adherence and momentum, then progressive overload as conditioning improves. Then we shift to the part most trainers avoid: the sit-down conversation that turns a great workout into a committed client. We share how to present personal training packages clearly, why fewer options sell better, and how to add value with bonus sessions, reviews, and referrals while still playing the long game on your career. If you coach with competence and consistency, your rates rise because your results rise.If you got something from this, subscribe, share the episode with a trainer who needs it, and leave a quick rating and review.Want to become a SUCCESSFUL personal trainer? Irresistible You: Lose the Emotional Weight | Body Image | Confidence | Weight Loss

I've been sick all week, and it completely disrupted my plans, my workouts, and the momentum I thought I was building. In this episode, I'm talking about what it feels like when your body forces you to rest — and why we often only “allow” ourselves to slow down when we're physically unwell. If you're feeling behind, off track, or like you have to start over, this is your reminder: you're not starting over. You're continuing.Show Notes!

Irresistible You: Lose the Emotional Weight | Body Image | Confidence | Weight Loss

Lately, the world is heavy. Overwhelming. At times, even unsafe. And I'll be honest, it's been hard to show up and talk about things like body image, weight, or self-care when everything around us feels so serious. But then I watched the Super Bowl halftime show and Bad Bunny showing up boldly, joyfully, unapologetically, and it brought me back to a quote that stopped me in my tracks: joy is part of the resistance. In this episode, I'm sharing a very real moment of burnout. One where I was so overwhelmed I would've rather gone to the emergency room than keep dealing with life, even though nothing was physically wrong. We talk about the kind of society we're living in, where people secretly wish for a stomach virus just to get a break, and what it means when rest only feels allowed through sickness.I share why a glow up has shifted from nice-to-have to need-to-have — focusing first on the inside, not the outside — and how choosing movement, care, joy, and self-respect isn't avoidance, it's survival. If you feel exhausted, overwhelmed, and weighed down by the world around you, this episode is for you.

In this episode, Brittany Anderson and Christina Lecuyer dive into the kinds of conversations many people are thinking about — but not always saying out loud. From the Grammys and public authenticity to money habits, subscriptions, student debt, and the real cost of education, this episode blends cultural commentary with real-life financial awareness. Brittany and Christina unpack how quickly expenses can add up, why understanding your personal finances is a form of self-leadership, and how women in particular often undervalue their worth — both personally and professionally. They also explore alternative paths to success beyond traditional education, the rise of trades and small businesses, and the importance of real-world experience over checking boxes. At its core, this conversation is about ownership — of your voice, your money, your value, and your life.If you've ever felt overwhelmed by finances, questioned the “right” path, or struggled to confidently ask for what you're worth, this episode is for you.About Brittany and Christina:Meet Brittany and Christina, your dynamic podcast hosts who bring their unique blend of expertise, passion, and life experience to every conversation.Brittany, affectionately known as Britt, mom, mommy, bruh, and Queen, lives in Vancouver with her husband and their three fantastic kids (tweens and teens, hence the playful nicknames).
