On today's episode of The Joe Pavone Show I am joined by Ryan White. Ryan first started making money in the Instagram space four to five years ago. He was growing pages up to 50,000 to 100,000 followers and generating a few thousand monthly doing paid promo collaborations with brands. Six months later, he decided to make another appearance on the Instagram platform, this time focusing on his own personal brand, @ceoryanwhite, which impressively he was able to grow his brand from 1,300 followers to 212,000 followers since March 2017. He now has a total of 2.4 million followers as we go into 2022. On today's show I sit down with 2x Open-Heart Surgery occupant and former NCAA Champion, Derek Owens. Being born with a heart condition and the odds stacked against him Derek makes every minute count. Growing up he was completely unaware that his heart only has two valves instead of three. Derek went to doctor's appointments more than other kids his age, but he just thought it was a regular routine all kids had to do. He was aware of his condition at 16 when he had to get his first Open-Heart Surgery. He went on to play Division 1 basketball, where he was captain of his team his senior year. Two weeks after the season ended, he couldn't run half a mile or even go upstairs without getting winded. It became clear that he would need to go into surgery again. Following college, with a new wife and baby on the way, he worked as a door-to-door life insurance salesman making six figures in his early 20's. In 2017 he had a setback, he was diagnosed with advanced liver failure. His only hope was a very unlikely liver transplant. But McMahon was determined to survive and he made every effort to do so.
