Trebelhorn discussed how important it is to bring more awareness to the issue of elderly abuse and how numbers have been rising locally. The county says there were 320 community referrals in 2023 related to adults aged over 60 – an 8% increase from 2022, plus a 21% increase seen from 2021 to 2022.
