Today's podcast guest is someone I recently met at the Reset Conference, and we hit it off right away! Christine Tremoulet is the Chief Growth Officer of AfterShoot, which is a company that helps photographers create more and edit less. Prior to this, she has a long history of working in creative fields. She's had experience with web design, blogging, Wordpress (which she gave it's official name!), photography, working closely with brands and businesses, and more. Christine loved wedding photography but shifted to boudoir photography to enjoy a bit more time freedom. At that time, she also started doing some business coaching and mentoring. She had plans to head out on a 3 week road trip, which ended up being 4 months! But as she reflected on it, Christine was so thankful for the flexibility of her schedule and was reminded that her love for travel was the reason she first started making shifts in her business. There is a lot to be said about flexibility and freedom in running your own business - how to truly make your business work for you and your life, but also how to make the most of the time that you do spend on your business. There are things to put in place to help you be productive, and as you implement these strategies, you may find yourself doing less to be more successful. Christine has a lot of experience with this, which is why I am so excited for this interview with her. Here are some of the things we discussed in the episode: Transitioning and reevaluating your business How Christine would get “bored” with success and would want a new challenge Constant communication and living in this “on” culture Having healthy boundaries Feeling like we have to do it all and how not doing it all can actually help you uplevel your brand Implementing programs and softwares to make business easier or outsource tasks Details about AfterShoot and how it can specifically save photographers time Keeping things as a hobby for yourself VS. turning it into a business Christine shared about AfterShoot and how this software can help photographers save time. AfterShoot is the leading AI-based photo culling software for both Mac & Windows, which can cull 1000 photos in 5 minutes. Founded by Harshit Dwivedi in 2019, after he saw the problem of his own family members that were professional photographers and dealing with images after weddings & portrait sessions. He met with numerous photographers to gain more insight and launched the initial beta version of the software in 2020. Since then, they've culled over 40 Million photographs and saved professional photographers everywhere over 50,000 hours of time. Their mission: to help you create more & edit less. In this episode, I had the chance to speak with Christine Tremoulet, from AfterShoot's chief growth office. We talked about all the amazing things AfterShoot does for photographers and how easy the software it's to use. Christine herself was a wedding and boudoir photographer for years, so she understands the needs we have as photographers. This episode is all about AfterShoot and how the software can make your business life better! So you can spend less time culling and more time doing the things that you love. I had the pleasure of meeting Christine Tremoulet in 2019 at Social Media Marketing World. We were actually on a whale watching trip together organised by the team at SmarterQueue. Christine is a photographer, story strategist & confidence catalyst and is based in Texas. One of the reasons I hear from some people that stop them from going live - is that they just don't like the way they look. A lot of people don't like the way they sound either. But that doesn't have to be the case. Christine and I had an amazing conversation about confidence and learning not to just to be ok with the way you look on camera - but love it. Does that seem far fetched to you? It doesn't have to be! Show notes: iag.me/36 (https://iag.me/36) We Cover...How did you end up doing what you’re doing? Have you done much in the way of live video before? You spend a lot of time behind the camera. Do you get nervous before getting in front of the camera? Any tips? Have you experienced any video or camera disasters? What did you learn from them? One of the big issues people have is not liking the way they look or sound on video. How big an issue do you think this is? Is there anything we can do about it? What are your top tips in learning how to like the way we look on camera?
