The Word–Fr Tony Percy– Who Are We? (Fr Tony says we have this magnificent question put to John, "Who are you?" in today's Gospel. And so that's a question that's come right down to us, from Abraham and Sarah, right to this moment. Saint Francis of Assisi used to stay awake at night for many hours, asking God two questions: "God, who are you and God, who am I?" That's really the question we have here today. The people are putting the question to John the Baptist saying, "Who are you?" And he says, "Well, I'm not Elijiah, I'm not the Christ, I'm a witness to the light." Now, that question, "Who are you?" is also answered in the second reading today from Thessalonians. There, the human being is described as body, soul, and spirit. Now that's an answer for the difficulties we're having with personal identity here in the modern world. We are body, soul, and spirit, and the connector between the body and the soul and the spirit, of course, is the five senses. Unlike the angels who are pure spirits, we are a composite being of body, soul, and spirit. And as I say, our senses connect all of that together. We are very mysterious as human beings. We should be deeply grateful for who we are, body, soul and spirit)

You would *think* a Man of God would be able to see through and maybe even call out the shame therapy that goes on in this Sigmund Fraud's office, but apparently this thirst trap of a Tik Tok social media televangelist, Bishop Elijiah K. Stone of Alabama, is too focused on expanding his brand to the youth culture to notice! Careful, Bishop Stone, or Ian will get you hooked on pre-martial sex and drugs! Do not help him work out his tight five for standup and do not offer him your healing hands! Definitely also a major red flag if he requires any court documents shredded with no further follow-up or explanation!! Woa, you must be one of those in the Hella cool crowd, cause you found the best part of the episode description! In this episode, Pastor Cindy talks about pentecost. She compares the passing of Elijiah's mantle to Elisha to the mantle passing that took place when Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit. The beautiful thing about the mantle is that it is much bigger than the one it's being passed to. The mantle brings weight. It brings power and authority. It brings a responsibility to carry out a purpose far greater than we could ever imagine attempting on our own. No matter how inadequate you think you are or how unprepared you may seem to be, God sees you as worthy to carry the torch. It's time to burn bright. In today's reading we learn the story of Jesus' transfiguration. This event is always the focus of our Gospel on the second Sunday of Lent and serves as a reminder of Jesus' constant presence in our lives. The transfiguration takes place on top of a mountain. When our reading begins, Peter, James, and John are asleep while Jesus prays. When the three disciples finally wake, they witness Jesus speaking with Moses and Elijiah. It's here when a voice from the sky proclaims Jesus as the chosen son. Read More: https://cmmb.org/recognizing-the-impact-around-us/

Maureen Smith talks about Promise #14 from Luke 6:38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” Maureen gives us an example of Elijiah and the widow at Zarephath and she says that if you have a need, if you have a desire for God to do something in your life, you must learn to give as well.Trust God and know you could never beat him in giving.God multiplies, with good measure. #thecallwithnancysabato #MaureenSmith #GodMultiplies For more promises of God go to http://thecallwithnancysabato.com Video on YouTube: https://youtu.be/HdUkIZ_K55o --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/nancy-sabato/message
In this episode of By Any Means Necessary, hosts Sean Blackmon and Jacquie Luqman are joined by Lillian House, one of the lead organizers around Justice for Elijah McClain, to discuss the recent independent report detailing how Aurora police and EMS continuously mishandled and escalated the arrest of Elijiah McClain before the young Black man in in 2019, the massive nonviolent protests demanding justice for his killing by police last summer, and why the only ones facing criminal charges now are the organizers who called for police accountability. In the second segment, Sean and Jacquie are joined by Nnenna Amuchie, organizer with Black Alliance for Peace, East of the River Mutual Aid, and the DC chapter of the Gray Panthers, to discuss yesterday's protest outside the Haitian embassy in solidarity with the hundreds of thousands of Haitians demanding President Jovenel Moise step down, the role of the US in propping up the unpopular regime, and where that relationship fits within the American government's long history of supporting brutal dictatorships in Haiti and across the region. In the third segment, Sean and Jacquie are joined by TechForThePeople.org editor Chris Garaffa for another edition of our new segment Tech For The People. They discuss the millions of seniors struggling to get vaccinated without internet access or know-how and the $650 million settlement that Facebook was ordered to pay after the social media giant appeared to openly violate an Illinois ban on using facial recognition software without consumer consent.Later in the show, Sean and Jacquie are joined by Baba Zak Kondo, author of “Conspiracies: Unravelling the Assassination of Malcolm X,” to discuss the significance of the admission by now-deceased NYPD undercover officer Raymond Wood that he facilitated Malcolm's assassination on behalf of the FBI and the NYPD, why Kondo now condemns the recent Netflix documentary series on the assassination and says he regrets his participation, and the broad cultural campaign to “de-emphasize the role of the state” in the execution of the Black liberation legend.
Elijiah Conyers and his family joined the Greg Hill Show to discuss his treatment at Dana Farber. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Its called 503 c 3 and surprised no one else thought of it Monroe is scared that Malcom has been involved in a new nefarious gang (lol) and Archie needs to turn this gym into a real community center. Honestly I do love their relationship Molly Ringwald wants to take Archie to Chicago. Monroe is very grateful that Archie tried to take care of the Dodger issue, he stole a bag of bloody money, which they need to launder. Archie asks Veronica to launder it, she says he should burn it Molly offers to turn Archie’s community center into a non profit, which should have always been the plan/. Rats in a Person means it is time to shut things down Toni is worried about leaving the babies with a mental unwell woman with dementia and you know I have to agree. Nana Rose says something about seeing one of the triplets in the fire and refers to Cheryl as Penelope. We know about three generations of twins (possibly triplets) Clifford/Claudius, Jay Jay/Cheryl, Dagwood/Juniper. We know that DJ has to be twins. Could JC have had a third? Or what about CC? Toni has called in a tall drink of water to take care of Nana Rose. Darius (do I smell a romantic subplot between him and Toni?). Cheryl over pushes the rule about the chapel in the basement. Its weird. Jason has a RAT INSIDE OF HIM and she is just sewing him up when Toni walks in. Changing your name doesn’t change your life Veronica and Archie talk names, everyone is so fucking supportive all the time. They have sex, good for them, its hot. Hiram is there because he can just walk in and out of prison. He explains to Veronica that his family name is Luna and his dad was super pissed when he changed it. And Hiram is very fuckign pissed that Veronica is changing her name. Great line in this scene “I may have never taken out the trash but I know when something is rotten” Veronica Luna is such a better name, yes go back to your roots, to your culture, to being a true lady of the moon, a witch, curse the man, yes. She visits him in prison, girl get it Criminally good and bad fashion Why the fuck is Charles giving Betty all this intel? Edgar calls Betty on Alice’s phone with a list of demands Polly arrives in a criminally bad poncho with a bomb and a trigger. Charles talks Betty for some reason through how to cut the wire, which doesn’t work and then Betty stops the bomb with her bobby pin. Veronica loans Betty the glamersay eggs for the cash and Toni can just make 50 passports because she knows someone?? Betty gives a work around at the school office to get a school bus and lets her into the motel. She is wearing a cool bomber jacket and Chad Michael Murry is better than shirtless, he is wearing a shirt with no buttons. She gets knocked out and walks up with Alice tied up. What is also criminal is this Che Gavara hat, come on people we can do better than this Edgar is planning a rocket launch? Edgar is wearing a full Evil Kaveval outfit. He starts monolouging about the prophet Elijiah, he has a gun, Alice has shot him, Someone call a plumber because Mari’s basement has flooded MOOSE is back and so is my boner! He goes by Marmaduke here and is Jughead’s roommate. Brett makes fun of Jughead’s upbringing and jughead wants to go full “skinned a woman” on him (remember that from season 2 we can’t forget) But there is a ‘no violence’ rule and Jughead backs off Jughead walks in on Dana and Moose. Dana is sex postive and tells him to be careful about Brett and his pscyological warfare. I don’t trust her. Why is she giving free advice? Jughead in a sweater is my weakness, I love a boy in a sweater, just give him to me. Of course this guys name is Brett, although what if the real villain is that Dana girl? Also glad we clarified for all the karen’s in the back what bisexual means Brett tries to get a rise out Jughead by listing facts about his childhood and it works, jughead then lists facts about his own life again and pushes Brett back to write drama instead of starting drama. Dana wins the contest, Jughead and Bret lose, but Juggie looks happy about it. Someone (some would say Brett, others would say Dana) released the information about Moose to the school. Mysterious video tape drop

Today I have two listeners on as guests to provide some feedback on the recent Elijiah T episodes. Some of my listeners reacted a bit negatively to Elijiah and I’m curious to find out why. Let’s see if I can find some answers! The post AS148: Live Listener Feedback appeared first on Atheistically Speaking.
Elijiah was a guest about a year ago, and now he’s back for another round! This time, we’re going to discuss what Elijiah alleges are bad arguments atheists make. It’s a really cool discussion and I had a great time. 2 episodes, filled to the brim! The post AS143: Atheists Say the Darnedest Things, with Elijiah T. appeared first on Atheistically Speaking.
We begin with part 2 of my debate with Elijiah T! You can find his blog here: http://hashtagapologetics.wordpress.com/ And on Twitter @elijiaht After that I give an analysis of the debate and what I was trying to accomplish. If anyone knows of other believers who are willing to have a discussion with an atheist, point … Continue reading AS30: Debate with Elijiah T, Supreme Court Fail → The post AS30: Debate with Elijiah T, Supreme Court Fail appeared first on Atheistically Speaking.
AS28 received a ton of feedback. So many people felt comfortable to confess their possible unpopular opinions, which I look at as a great accomplishment for the show. In a very long Tommentary, I talk about all the messages I received about the show, and make several points about feminism and atheism, again. Also, don’t … Continue reading AS29: Reaction to Reaction to Greta Christina, and Debate with Elijiah T → The post AS29: Reaction to Reaction to Greta Christina, and Debate with Elijiah T appeared first on Atheistically Speaking.
