Jeremy Finestone and Steven Conway are back with a new episode of Speaking of Strong Style! Steven and Jeremy talked about the Keiji Muto retirement card and how the New Japan crew of Kazuchika Okada, Tetsuya Naito, Hiromu Takahashi and Taiji Ishimori swept the top matches. Was this card actually good for NOAH, or did it make it look minor league? Or is there a long-term plan in mind? They also broke down Battle in the Valley, including Mercedes Mone's debut against Kairi, Okada's match with Hiroshi Tanahashi and why it was an honor just to see it in person, David Finlay's heel turn, Jay White's New Japan good-bye against Eddie Kingston, Zack Sabre Jr.'s title defense against Clark Connors and KENTA's NJPW Strong title win. The pair also previewed FantasticaMania and the upcoming anniversary show, and plunged into the history of Keiji Muto with a look at his early days in NJPW. The Trio is back! We've got a lot to catch up on, and thankfully hardly any of it is CMLL matches! We get the sad stuff out of the way first with thoughts and a brief goings-through on the careers of Mr. Niebla & La Parka, as well as the assassination of Generación XXI promoter Gerardo Mendola, followed by unexpectedly crazy stories going on in this crazy world of Lucha with Konnan getting slapped by someone many people still can't understand didn't work in WCW, CIMA is pissed at two young guys from the Indy Lucha scene for being unprofessional, and then finally actual wrestling did happen when we talk about FantasticaMania and AAA's latest show. A crazy month we missed while we were away but we are BACK! TALK LUCHA WITH THE TRIO: @DylanZeroSky - @therealfredo - @MICROMANFEVER
We are back after a brief hiatus during the Fantasticamania tour (sorry...I tried to watch it), to bring you Night 1 of the New Beginning in Sapporo featuring Shingo Takagi challenging Hirooki Goto for the NEVER Openweight Championship. Our first show of the New Year, and it's a big one. Geoffrey Wessel, Chris Damasceno and special guest The Cubs Fan talk all kinds of Wrestle Kingdom 14, including the big catharsis of a 6-year-long storyline resolving, Jushin Thunder Liger's retirement, the Feud Of The Year already in Minoru Suzuki v. Jon Moxley, and a whole lot more from a very packed weekend. Plus, we preview this year's edition of the NJPW + CMLL joint tour, Fantasticamania, and even manage to squeeze in the just-announced-whilst recording New Beginning in USA shows! We drink some Cold Shots and talk about NJPW & CMLL's FantasticaMania 2011.
Like last week's cover of Weekly Pro Wrestling The Truepenny Show takes a two pronged attack showcasing the Sendai Girls Tokyo Show from January the 6th and a run down of the Fantasticamania Tour from NJPW. James is joined by Christy for this week's analysis.
This week on the 'Podcast of the Immoral' we chat Fantasticamania, Burbz makes his 2019 debut and we preview the Royal Rumble.
Lucha Talk is back again in this new year, and we're giving you the scoop and the breakdown from multiple perspectives of Rush signing with ROH, what he lost in MLW, & what this means for ROH. We then give you wrap up as FantasticaMania just ended, with the recommended matches, tag tournament, and main event matches of the show along with the yearly tag tournament. Plus, an in depth look at Atlantis' first tour. Also there were two shows from AAA & CMLL this week, and unfortunately talk about them, including a promo so bad Dylan can't handle it in AAA and we test Fredo on which CMLL champions are which. Talk Lucha with the Trio on Twitter: @DylamZeroSky - @therealfredo - @MICROMANFEVER
This week on Wrestling Omakase we're talking the three biggest wrestling companies in the world! I'm joined by returning guest and longtime friend/travel companion Bryan Quinlan (@IMNOTQUINLAN (https://twitter.com/IM_NOT_QUINLAN) ) as we start with a preview of the WWE Royal Rumble card. Quinlan is one of the few people left on earth who actually watch RAW & Smackdown every week, so he lets us know his thoughts on the build up to the major matches and more. Then we move on to discussing NJPW/CMLL Fantasticamania, as we talk the three shows that have already happened at the time of recording and preview the last two. Finally we run down the upcoming New Beginning tour, going through all the cards and our picks for who might win the major title matches. In a mostly quiet week for NJPW (other than FantasticaMania!), the guys open the show with a look at the NXT Takeover Liverpool show including differing thoughts on Balor/Devlin, plenty of praise for the tag match, future expectations for RIpley/Storm, and a very long main even that was saved by a large German man making his fantastic debut. Camp reacts to more news about KUSHIDA including his likely next stop and what KUSHIDA pitched for himself in NJPW. ROH is throwing some serious money around and their latest signing is RUSH, so what's next for exclusive deals? LIFEBLOOD is a thing and so is ROH Tag Wars. That's something, but we take it a step further and book the Paul Crockett Cup.
Lucha Talk is back! For an even crazier time than usual with multiple tangents about random things, including which member of the Trio was advised to work with Double J, Jeff Jarrett and if he should take that advice, and if Micro is still into Astrology? There's a lot of actual Lucha stuff to talk about too though thankfully, we catch up from our Christmas and New Year's break, talk about the great CMLL best of the year show, a horrible follow up and then our takes on the debuts of Atlantis Jr. and Hijo del Villano III for CMLL and how they looked. Then a breakdown of the first FantasticaMania show and what we think of the concept as a whole. After some news and notes, an update on Histeria and his health, along with the return of the Tapatia awards and even some talk about AEW and which Méxican company they might have their eyes on. Talk Lucha with the Trio: @DylanZeroSky - @therealfredo - @MICROMANFEVER
This week on Lucha Talk the Trio breaks down the big AAA show, Heroes Inmortales a show which drew the ire of many, including driving one host away mid show and another host into a rant on the main event. From there we get into unique news regarding +Lucha, YouTube, & the recent article about the business end of Lucha YouTube in a unique segment. Finally we hit CMLL and their boring buildup to this week's big Dia de Los Muertos shows, featuring the setup for the Rey del Inframundo match with a surprise and welcome winner! Finally we cap things off with a breakdown of the FantasticaMania lineup of Luchadores including 5 first timers including the very first match for the son of one of the biggest legends in Lucha history. Also IWRG and Lilith Dark get shoutouts here and there. Talk Lucha with the Trio: @DylanZeroSky - @therealfredo - @MICROMANFEVER
For the first podcast of 2018, we are happy to welcome back The Cubs Fan (@luchablog) to talk about the resurrected Tapatia Awards and a plethora of lucha libre news. We start with the 2017 Tapatia Awards and why Cubs decided to bring them back. We then discuss all the winners (a clean sweep for CMLL) and what that says about the year in lucha. Then, it a look at lucha news with no real rhyme nor reason, including: Fantasticamania, the upcoming Angel de Oro vs Cuatrero mascara match, the mega push of theaasa NGD, the Parejas tournament and who will face Volador and Ultimo Guerrero, the font office acchanges headed by Sofia Alanso and more. We also cover the new Arolucha promotion, US companies and booking indy luchadors and what will the future hold for Rey Misterio Jr? Note: It may be a few weeks before the new podcast. We are trying to line up some fun guests in the future. Thanks for Listening.
This week on Lucha Talk it's a hard hitting look at Guerra de Titanes on Twitch, FantasticaMania, Andrade "Cien" Almas' great weekend, Drone, and a lot more in the world of Lucha Libre! Follow the Trio on Twitter @DylanZeroSky - @therealfredo - @MICROMANFEVER

The gang talks Fantasticamania, we preview the New Beginning show's major championship matches, banter happens, the gang even has a couple of bold predictions of their own in regards of the upcoming year in New Japan. A show without Dylan due to some bizarre and unexpected technical difficulties that even the phone company couldn't help him on, Fredo & Liger Fever handle the load on this huge episode of Lucha Talk covering the AAA Exodus in-depth, FantasticaMania, and other stuff like the usual rundowns of weekly shows, and another brilliant update on the Blue Demon telenovela, and a lot more all on your way of episode 19 of Lucha Talk! This week on the Voices of Wrestling flagship podcast Joe Lanza and Rich Kraetsch discuss the mysteries of the ongoing Kenny Omega situation — is he WWE bound or is his break from Japan an elaborate work? Other topics include the ever-changing WrestleMania card — which matches have been removed and what do we think the final card will look like. Elsewhere we discuss NJPW's New Beginning cards, NJPW/CMLL's Fantasticamania as well as WWE's UK tournament and possible expansion into other regions. Wrestle Kingdom 11 has come and gone, but your usual suspects in Geoffrey Wessel, Steve Cash and Lawrence O'Brien (plus Chris Damasceno handling post-show analysis due to being out of town at time of the recording) break down the action and try to make sense of what was a really, really good show overall alongside the following day's "New Year's Dash!!" and how it'll take us into the new year (plus, they end up doing a quick ROH burial because reasons). And in order to do so, we bring in fellow CMLL expert Cubsfan of luchablog.com/ to break down the Fantasticamania 2017 tour that brings us some interesting match-ups between NJPW and CMLL talents and from there, we move on to talking a bit about the New Beginning tour and cards in both Sapporo and Osaka set-up in place for some big match-ups to come. - You can find Cubsfan on Twitter at @luchablog and at luchablog.com/ alongside his "Como Estaz" podcast with RobViper at http://www.thecubsfan.com/cmll/tag/como-estaz/ As always, please feel free to leave us some feedback by checking us out at our blog at http://strongstylestory.tumblr.com/, by going over to our Twitter: @StrongStylStory or even shooting us an e-mail at strongstylestory@gmail.com along with checking us out on iTunes (to which we definitely encourage leaving a review, giving us stars, etc, etc). Lucha Talk returns as always with the hombres talking a light week of news, but a great week of action with CMLL's Three Kings Day show living up to the hype as well as a true blue match of the year candidate in Tijuana that gets broken down in depth between Hechicero & Caifan. Lucha Underground returns as well with more goofy storylines and we still have no clue where Pentagón is and why Sexy Star keeps getting singles matches on the show and why the Técnicos seem to shoot themselves in the foot so much. That said, a light at the end of the tunnel comes in next week with the All Night Long announcement. In addition the FantasticaMania cards are ran down with some of our favorite matchups given. This week's episode revolves around much of the shows that took place this week, kicking off with the man of the hour and the upset of the year in CMLL as Valiente was crowned the Universal Champion. The Dia de Muertos shows and concept is analyzed, and the Trios tries to make sense of why Ultimo Guerrero gets after his meaningless main event win on Sunday. FantasticaMania lineups were announce and they're covered all the way. Moving on to Elite we saw one of their best overall episodes including an espectacular Trios match, and the shocking throwing down of his Volador Jr. Fanclub headband by one host, who aligns himself with Rey Escorpión, who gets much praise. AAA also has a surprisingly solid show this week that gets broken down in depth including Psycho Clown's "return" and smart angles to build up their Team Trump angle. Lucha Underground is ran down as always and no punches are pulled at the effort this week from Boyle Heights. All that and a roundtable discussion on the streaming services for wrestling and the effect and the role we think Lucha promotions will play coming off the news of RIOT getting picked up by powerbomb.tv as well as rumors of FloSlam looking into México for content, with big news seemingly on the horizon down the line that we look ahead and speculate on. #PorraReyEscorpión
