Welcome to the Squared Circle Podcast! I am your host Marie Shadows! In this episode, I break down Wrestle Dynasty, a rushed, disjointed PPV thrown together after the last NJPW Strong event. Tony Khan's booking pattern lacks cohesion, with no storylines or follow-through, even though he claims to love NJPW. I discuss the puzzling matchups like Ricochet vs. Zack Sabre Jr. for the IWGP Championship, despite them not having faced each other in eight years. The Young Bucks' inclusion raises concerns about unnecessary title opportunities. I also touch on the cultural impact of this multi-promotion spectacle, especially in Japan, where fans face financial strain from the packed schedule. Tony Khan fails to understand the business and spending habits of Japanese fans, forcing them to choose between attending Wrestle Kingdom, Wrestle Dynasty, or New Year's Dash, making this a disappointing show overall.

The first five years of Royce Isaacs' professional wrestling career saw him excel at high levels throughout the world of Independents. Breaking out in his home state of Colorado working for Lucha Libre Laughs and later Rocky Mountain Pro, Isaacs excelled as a tag team wrestler and as a singles. He'd become LLL Heavyweight Champion in 2015. Royce would spend the Fall of 2016 working for DDT in Japan. He would return in the Spring and Summer of 2017. Around this time Isaccs would make his debut for Championship Wrestling and instantly become one of their top stars. He would also be featured on Ring Warriors which briefly aired on WGN. He win top honors in the United Wrestling Network by winning both the TV Championship and the Heritage Champion (the top prizes of that era) before moving on to his next adventure. The NWA and the Crockett Cup. Although he and Thom Latimer did not win the Cup, they would become NWA World Tag Team Champions before ultimately, Royce left the company. Although Royce teamed with Jorel Nelson outside of the United Wrestling Network and the NWA, it was as the 1Percent that Royce and Nelson really took off. They were wrestling for AEW Dark & Elevation, was the West Coast Wrecking Crew in New Japan Strong. This would open doors for Royce. HE would join Tom Lawlor's Team Filthy, begin to compete at Josh Barnett's Blood Sport. His tag team prowress with Nelson allowed his team to flourish all over the country. Royce has now competed in Mexico, Japan, Canada, and all over the United States. On this episode of The Alliance Blog Podcast, we're going to discuss the transition that Royce made from working the NWA and UWN to becoming a major part of NJPW Strong. We will also celebrate the ten years of Isaac's career. We will also take a look at his upcoming events including NJPW Strong: Resurgence and Jamie Iovine's Ante Up 2, presented by Epic Pro Wrestling. https://dice.fm/event/6gw9q-jamie-iov... Jeremy Finestone and Steven Conway return with a new edition of Speaking of Strong Style! The pair looked at the All Together Again show, which featured New Japan, Pro Wrestling NOAH and All Japan talent, who shined and who took it easy. They also talked about Kosei Fujita's announcement he's no longer a young lion, and compared his class of trainees to some of the great classes of the past, which included talks of Shota Umino, Ren Narita, Great O-Khan, Master Wato and Yota Tsuji. Steven and Jeremy took an early look at the G1 blocks, made their early guesses on who may advance to the knockout stages, and wondered why Gedo does this to himself. Plus, they talked about the upcoming NJPW Strong shows in Tokyo, which will feature deathmatch star Jun Kasai, Jon Moxley and El Desperado.
