Glavno avtorsko besedilno predlogo za izrazito nihajočo uprizoritev, z nenehnimi sosledji asimetričnih intervalov, zasukov, ritmov in vzdušij, subtilnih zaustavitev in sunkovitih stopnjevanj, je prispeval Miklavž Komelj, uporabljena pa so tudi besedila Ovidija, Franza Kafke in Antona Aškerca, svoja občutenja napetosti v razmerju do trde in gnetljive vesoljne materije in nedoumljive skrivnosti, kot je lahko kamen, pa sta avtorsko izrazili tudi igralki v predstavi Mia Skrbinac in Alenka Tetičkovič. Ples mame in očeta ter pesem Mr. Bojangles, ki jo poje Nina Simone, zaznamujeta veliko dogodkovnih plati romana; o doživljanjih posebnih situacij in emocionalni vpletenosti v trenutke čudaške vsakdanjosti vsak s svojimi pogledi pričata oče in sin … Nadja Dobnik je urednica zbirke Ginko, ki je izpostavila še več mogočih pogledov na roman Čakajoč na Bojanglesa.
