AEW Dynamite had some good wrestling, some big names, and also some of the usual problems that keep holding this show back. MJF vs. Rush was a good opener for the AEW World Title, but let's be honest, it should have felt much bigger with more story and more time to breathe. Mark Briscoe beat Lio Rush and then cut a very emotional promo calling out MJF. Thekla, Julia Hart, and Skye Blue had one of the most talked-about segments of the night with a very aggressive message aimed at Stardom. Andrade had a total nothing match, Kevin Knight retained the TNT Title over Speedball Mike Bailey in a fun one, Mercedes Mone returned in the Women's Owen tournament, and Will Ospreay beat Mark Davis in a match that got way too messy for its own good.Overall? Entertaining show, but also a frustrating one. AEW keeps giving you flashes of something great, then undercuts it with rushed builds, random segments, or overbooked finishes.
