After a relatively dull first-half, it was looking like the Fulhamish Live Show curse might be about to continue but, Muniz and Sess slotted home two second-half goals to allow plenty of giddy conversation to be had at the Half Moon Putney. In part one, George is joined by Adam Farquharson, Drew Heatley and Yasmin Mills to digest the day's events. It's a raw emotional reaction to the one and only Ryan Sessegnon who shouldered off Ben Davies to secure Fulham's victory over Tottenham Hotspur. They pay homage to Sess' stardom, acknowledge Willian's continued class and control at the Cottage and comment on whether it may be the end of the road for Ange Postecoglou. In part two, Sammy takes the stage with Jack Collins, Farrell Monk and, Fulhamish's special guest, Paul Cooper! They each react to the wonderful 2-0 win that will take the pressure off the incoming run of challenging Premier League fixtures that Fulham now face. The microphone travels around the room as they then answer some of your live listener questions on Dan Burn's recent successes, the hope of Wilson's return and whether they would prefer the Europa Conference League or an FA Cup final. --SHOW-LINKS:If you enjoy Fulhamish, please consider contributing a small amount monthly to help pay our costs. Sammy and Elizabeth reconvene to cast one last glance back to Fulham's 3-1 defeat against Aston Villa at the Cottage which saw the Whites pick up an unwanted hat-trick for the first time in Premier League history - missing a penalty, having a man sent off, and scoring an own goal, before turning their attention to the weekend's trip to Goodison Park - probably our last trip to the famous old ground to play Everton.  Then in Part Two, it's time for the best part of Saturday's live show at the Half Moon Putney - the This'll Catch On special which always lights up the room with some of the best tunes sent into the podcast since the start of the season, vetted live by the brilliant folks who packed out the room. -- SHOW-LINKS: If you enjoy Fulhamish, please consider contributing a small amount monthly to help pay our costs. Our unbeaten home record was never going to go on forever... right? We've live from the Half Moon Putney reviewing a 3-1 defeat to Aston Villa, a game which was not short of talking points. Saturday's match at Brentford is almost certainly the biggest remaining match of the season. Whilst our final two games could influence both the title race and relegation battle, local bragging rights are almost certainly more important than that. We look ahead to the game, and try to predict whether Fulham can avenge the painful 3-0 defeat earlier in the campaign. Also, we review Fulham's season ticket renewal announcement, whilst a 4% increase feels reasonable, is there more devil in the detail? You'd be forgiven for thinking that Fulham vs Palace at The Cottage had the potential to be an exciting game: two attractive football teams, free from the shackles of the Premier League survival race, allowed to express themselves safe in the knowledge that there isn't too much hanging on the result. Instead, the game was a fairly routine 1-1 draw, however Fulham were definitely the luckier of the two sides to earn a point. Recorded in front of a live audience at Putney's iconic Half Moon Putney, Coops, Dan, Dom and Liz discuss the game, including Tosin's demotion to corporate hospitality duties. In part 2, Sammy is joined by The Athletic's Peter Rutzler, legendary football journalist Patrick Barclay and Farrell Monk, to answer some of your questions.   00:00 - Part 1 26:36 - Part 2 If you enjoy Fulhamish, please consider contributing a small amount monthly to help pay our costs. Welcome to Episode 51 of Retrosonic Podcast where we welcome former drummer with The Chords Buddy Ascott into the 'studio' on New Year's Eve to look back on 2022. Buddy, now playing with The Fallen Leaves, is currently writing his memoirs and he treats us to a reading from a chapter about an unfortunate incident in Guildford Civic Hall in 1979 involving The Undertones, Jimmy Pursey and some ex-Sex Pistols. He also talks about more recent gig experiences which include drumming with The 79ers as special guests at The Vapors' weekend event at the iconic Portmeirion village, location of the cult TV show The Prisoner. Then we cover The Fallen Leaves shows at the Dublin Castle and their appearance at the Don Craine tribute at the Half Moon Putney, plus we get a sneak preview of a song from the Leaves' next album. We also take a look at some of Retro Man Blog's favourite LPs, Singles, Compilations and Gigs of the year and play a selection of great tracks from The Clash with Ranking Roger, Rhoda Dakar, The Limiñanas, The Prisoners and Michael Head & The Red Elastic Band. We also announce our Band of The Year - The Undertones - for some superb gigs, their compilation "Dig What You Need", Damian O'Neill and Billy Doherty joining Baby Shakes on stage for "Teenage Kicks" and related releases such as That Petrol Emotion's stunning box-set compilation and Damian's solo album "An Crann". Then there's a more sombre look at just some of the influential musicians who sadly passed away in 2022 including Chris Bailey, Wilko Johnson, Jet Black and Terry Hall but we celebrate their legacy with music from The Saints, Dr. Feelgood, The Specials and The Stranglers. Everyone knows We Are Master System are suckers for a good female vocal...and you are right we really are. This week is all about the Lady GaGa / WAMS "love game" re-edit and our sneaky remix of Sugababes "get sexy" We are going to bust these ones out for the ladies at the Half Moon Putney on Feb 27th .... it is free to get in people (after 11) and has a late bar till 1 am!!! No excuses - you NEED to be there!!! We are both very sorry we missed a week on the podcast front - we have been working on our new set so the ole podcast had to wait - i think this one is worth it though... :) Much Love WAMS xxx
