Graham Hancock is a British journalist and author who has gained worldwide fame for his pseudo-archaeological theories. Hancock proposes that an advanced, globally connected civilization existed more than 12,000 years ago and that remnants of their knowledge survived a catastrophic event, informing later cultures around the world. His Netflix series, Ancient Apocalypse, amplifies Hancock's claims, suggesting that mainstream archaeology has deliberately ignored or suppressed evidence supporting his controversial hypotheses. As Annie Kelly and Fall of Civilizations podcaster Paul Cooper explain to Travis and Brad on this episode, all of this is a hot load of ahistorical rubbish. But why does this story have enough appeal for two seasons of a Netflix show in the first place? And why is Kenau Reeves involved with it? Annie and Paul take a deep dive into Graham Hancock's work, picking apart the fallacies that sustain it and the questionable characters that promote it. After a relatively dull first-half, it was looking like the Fulhamish Live Show curse might be about to continue but, Muniz and Sess slotted home two second-half goals to allow plenty of giddy conversation to be had at the Half Moon Putney. In part one, George is joined by Adam Farquharson, Drew Heatley and Yasmin Mills to digest the day's events. It's a raw emotional reaction to the one and only Ryan Sessegnon who shouldered off Ben Davies to secure Fulham's victory over Tottenham Hotspur. They pay homage to Sess' stardom, acknowledge Willian's continued class and control at the Cottage and comment on whether it may be the end of the road for Ange Postecoglou. In part two, Sammy takes the stage with Jack Collins, Farrell Monk and, Fulhamish's special guest, Paul Cooper! They each react to the wonderful 2-0 win that will take the pressure off the incoming run of challenging Premier League fixtures that Fulham now face. The microphone travels around the room as they then answer some of your live listener questions on Dan Burn's recent successes, the hope of Wilson's return and whether they would prefer the Europa Conference League or an FA Cup final. --SHOW-LINKS:If you enjoy Fulhamish, please consider contributing a small amount monthly to help pay our costs. Paul Cooper has been a professional photographer for over 30 years. He is currently a commercial photographer. But, in the last 30 years he has shot most types of photography. His photography business Baily-Cooper Photography is run with his wife. They also have a photography education business called Master your Photography. Master your photography caters for everyone from someone who wants to buy a photographer and doesn't know what to buy, to professional mentoring. Before Paul was a professional photographer, he was an amateur photographer. His parents got him a camera when he was 18. Him and his wife married, and photography was still a hobby. Paul worked for ten years in IT working on the first PCs that came out. After ten years Paul took the leap and setup the business. As the business grew, they realised they needed a second photographer in the business, so Paul's wife left her job and joined him. Paul then got his professional qualifications with the British Institute of Professional Photography and the Master Photography Association. This process was back in the days when the training available was through face-to-face meetings in the associations. Marcus asks how Paul and his wife divide up the work. Paul says that Kate his wife tends to do babies, young children and families. He tends to do corporate work, and then they come together for big projects. But they can mix it around as they wish. Sam asks why they are a limited company as many photographers don't do this. Paul said they did this years ago on the advice of their accountant. He also thinks for larger jobs it can give more kudos. They discuss style and developing a style and having a passion for it. Initially photographers tend to copy other photographers and then go on to use those influences to develop their own style. Paul says that many photographers don't understand lighting and it is a very important factor. He says his business has spent more money and time on lighting than on cameras. There is another podcast about lighting here. Sam asks Paul about the teaching side of the business. Paul says customers tend to come from the photography work they do anyone. For example, clients chat about a camera they have and don't know how to use. He does offer videos etc. but many people want to come into the studio and lean how to use their camera face to face. They will also go into business and work with a group of people to help them do things like get their own PR shots.  Paul says that with just a little training people can take much better photographs. Paul's main advice for students is just to go out and use your camera as much as you can. Marcus asks Paul if he has any favourite photographers. Paul says Bob Carlos Clark. Bob gave Paul the inspiration to become a photographer. Later Paul went to his studio and Bob made him a frittata in his studio! He was a boudoir photographer before that was really a “thing”. Marcus asks Paul to explain his roll with the Master Photographers Association. Paul has been on the qualifications side. Photographers can put a panel into the qualification panel for judging. Paul says the two reasons a photographer would want to get a qualification. Firstly, it pushes you creatively. Secondly, it's good from a marketing perspective. You can shout out about the qualification, and it differentiates you from other photographers. The qualification process is that a photographer has to put together a “panel” of around twenty photographs. All of those should be photographs you have been commissioned to take. They can't be from personal projects.

Ben Affleck's Argo was a runaway hit in 2012. His highly anticipated follow-up to The Town, it finally won Affleck the respect from his peers that he always deserved, with it earning a Best Picture Oscar, despite the man being shut out as director in a controversial move. Audiences and critics alike raved about the movie, but it wasn't without controversy. Some involved with the original “Canadian Caper” that the film was based on slammed it for various inaccuracies. However, these were largely dismissed as the film set out to be entertainment rather than a documentary, which is fair enough. In this episode of WTF Really Happened to this Movie, we dig into the true story behind Argo, including the truth behind the CIA operative Affleck played, Tony Mendez, who, as the film depicts, cooked up a scheme where he pretended to be scouting locations for a sci-fi pic to rescue hostages in the Iran Hostage Crisis of 1979-1981. We dig into the Canadian and American roles in the caper, as well as the actions of diplomat Ken Taylor. He played a small part in the film but was credited by many (including then-President Jimmy Carter) as the real hero behind the operation. This episode of WTF Really Happened to this Movie is written by Jake Dee, narrated by Steve Seigh and edited by Paul Cooper. Let us know in the comments whether or not you think Argo's inaccuracies are a serious issue or if this is just a regular Hollywood occurrence in the pursuit of entertainment.

The allure of having devices and tasks assisted by artificial intelligence is that they will help overcome some of the natural limits of human cognition with regards to working memory and attention. And in helping with the mundane tasks, AI can buy clinicians back time to spend with the complex patients who really need it. But the way all this pans out will really depend on how seamlessly the machine learning devices fit in with the clinical workflow. Which aspect of clinical decision-making do they support and how are the consequences of error mitigated? AI-assisted healthcare is reaching maturity in many applications and could alleviate some of the capacity gap increasingly faced by health systems . Over the next three podcasts we focus on artificial intelligence tools designed to assist directly with clinical practice. Most commonly reported on are the algorithms capable of pattern recognition on medical images, that in some settings perform as well or better than expert diagnosticians at classifying disease. AI models have also been developed to perform regression analyses more complex than classical risk stratification aids. The standard statistical algorithms used to solve these problems struggle when many variables are introduced, in which case deep learning models that mimic brain networks are sometimes a powerful alternative. In this episode we explain how machine learning algorithms are trained on particular tasks and where there are risks of error and bias being introduced. In part 2, we identify the ergonomic issues that affect practical implementation of AI tools in the clinic and in the decision cascade. And in the final episode of the series we discuss the questions that regulators and lawyers should be asking of this new technology and what role natural language processors might have in medicine. GuestDr Ian Scott FRACP MHA MEd (Director of Internal Medicine and Clinical Epidemiology, Princess Alexandra Hospital; Professor of Medicine, University of Queensland)ProductionProduced by Mic Cavazzini DPhil. It's safe to say that since Disney bought the rights to Star Wars from Lucasfilm, the road toward producing a series of Star Wars films that would appeal to generations old and young has been bumpy. Tales of behind-the-scenes turmoil plagued Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, but the most infamous project remains Lord and Miller's Solo. The film, which was to be a Han Solo origin tale, was to be directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, two talented directors famed for their 21 Jump Street reboots and their creative animated films like Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. Lifelong Star Wars fans, they seemed like the ideal choices to helm the film, but the two were shockingly fired from the movie after four and a half months of shooting. Why were Lord and Miller fired from Solo? The rumour was that their version of the film was too light, with them departing from the script by Jonathan and Lawrence Kasdan. There were also concerns about lead Alden Ehrenreich's performance, with him having the unenviable task of replacing Harrison Ford as the title character. Whatever the case, Lucasfilm and Disney were nervous enough that Lord and Miller were unceremoniously dismissed and replaced by Ron Howard. A legendary director in his own right, who memorably made Willow for Lucasfilm, Howard came into the project with a few strikes against him, as folks resented a Hollywood establishment figure taking over for two young up-and-comers. Howard did his best to make a good Star Wars movie, but the film was a notable flop in the end. The worldwide gross was good, but with reshoots factored in, the film cost so much money it ended up losing tens of millions. To add insult to injury, Lord and Miller went on to be involved with Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which earned raves as an instant classic. Who knows how good (or bad) their version of Solo might have been?In this episode of WTF Happened to this Unmade Movie, which is written by Brian Accardo, edited by Paul Cooper, and narrated by Bronwyn Kelly, we take a deep dive into what went wrong on Solo: A Star Wars Story.

WTF Happened to Quentin Tarantino's Unmade Vega Brothers Movie?

WTF Happened To....?!

If you're a hardcore Quentin Tarantino fan, you'll know that Michael Madsen's sadistic Vic Vega in Reservoir Dogs and John Travolta's Vincent Vega in Pulp Fiction are brothers. Despite both characters dying in their respective films, Quentin Tarantino toyed with the idea of spinning the characters off into a prequel movie for many years. Eventually, Travolta and Madsen likely aged out of the idea, given that they would have had to convincingly play younger than they did in Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction. Still, the notion of a Vega Brothers movie is interesting. In this episode of WTF Happened to this Unmade Movie, which is written by Bryan Wolford, narrated by Bronwyn Kelly-Seigh, edited by Paul Cooper and produced by Taylor James Johnson, we dig into the movie that never was. We try to determine how far along Tarantino got in the process while considering what the film might have been like. Would it have ended with Vincent hooking up with Samuel L. Jackson's Jules Winnfield and going to work for Marsellus Wallace? Would the more sadistic Vic have ended up at odds with the nicer Vincent? These are interesting questions to ponder, even if a Vega Brothers movie is impossible now unless QT recasts the roles. Given that he's sworn only to direct one more movie, this project ever happening seems highly improbable, but it's fun to think about.

Cousin Sal kicks off the show with big news; Rosanna Arquette followed him on Twitter. Plus, Sal reads an email from a fan who calls out Harry for not knowing that Copa means Cup in Spanish. The guys recap last night's NBA Draft as Woj kept going back and forth on who the Orlando Magic were selecting first overall and kept swinging the odds; Sal has a theory that he may have been doing this on purpose. Brother Bri calls for ESPN to have Woj and all other experts stop putting out spoiler tweets as it ruins the draft-watching experience. Plus, the Knicks seemed to screw up another draft by just creating cap space for Jalen Brunson who may not even come to New York. Next, coming off their successful Five-Minutes Frenzy pick, the guys look to keep it going with their Game 5 picks as the Stanley Cup will be in the building in Colorado. Parlay Kid thinks the Avalanche close things out and Harry likes the over 6 (+100). Parlay Kid means to call out Lightning coach Jon Cooper but also accidentally calls out their friend Paul Cooper who also they have a problem. Finally, the guys close things out with their Sharp Tank Picks!
