QUOTES:I find it an extremely challenging job because we don't want to be in the position of saying, “I'll just get a new partner if this doesn't work out.” It's not like a job where we can switch every couple of years. Ideally, we're trying to match people so that they can find the person that they're going to choose to live with for a lifetime.” - Aleeza Ben Shalom “One unique thing about our services is that we will not offer straight matchmaking, meaning making introductions only. We will make introductions, but it must be accompanied by coaching and support, another part of the matchmaking process. So for us, it's a well-rounded process.” Aleeza Ben Shalom

Summer House Discussion ~1hr 29 min markDeepti, Haley and Larkyn are back to talk all things Scandoval and Danielle/Lindsay/Carl with Summer House! They briefly chat about how great the new Netflix show Jewish Matchmaking is (new PCP episode on JMM will be up this week!) and how compared to Sima Auntie on Indian Matchmaking, the Jewish Matchmaker is a WHIZ! Larkyn decided everyone is going to need an addiction intervention for Vanderpump Rules when the season finally ends b/c it's still SO good and just keeps getting better. They discuss how it can be that Ariana did NOT know about the affair; what is HAPPENING in Raquel's head and loads of thoughts on her pageant life; why Katie does not deserve THAT much ire anymore; how Lala TOTALLY redeemed herself in the last couple episodes; that James Kennedy is SO HYSTERICAL and Deepti thinks he deserves an Emmy for his humor (but Deepti IS NOT condoning any past problematic behavior!); and of course what would an episode of PCP be without talking at length about how HORRIBLE both Toms are. On Summer House, it is just very difficult/compelling to watch Danielle LOSE HER MIND over the Carl & Lindsay of it all. The way she is handling it has entered crazy land, despite the fact that she "deserves" to feel hurt by Lindsay. Kory likes garbage right wingers on social media - YUCK. And also, Lindsay and Carl should not invite most of the cast to their wedding b/c they are just NOT NICE to them!
This is truly a pinch-me moment. I was fortunate enough to be able to interview Aleeza Ben Shalom, THE Jewish Matchmaker on Netflix. We discuss her realistic, yet optimistic approach to matching individuals, how she quantifies compatibility (yes! quantifies!), her beautiful definition of love and so much more.
