Between 2003 and 2009, ten women disappeared from the Rocky Mount area. Nine of them were found murdered in wooded areas near Seven Bridges Road, just outside of town. One woman remains missing to this day. All of the female victims were black and had a history of drugs and prostitution. Because of this, many people have said that the police didn't investigate the murders as hard, and, the media didn't provide much coverage. Join Mike and Morf as they discuss these murders that many believe were killed by one person dubbed "The Seven Bridges Serial Killer." A man named Antwan Pittman was arrested, charged, and convicted of one murder. Is Pittman the Seven Bridges serial killer? Rosie crashed her car at a very slow speed, and when she died later at the hospital, investigators knew there was no way it was caused by the car crash. In 1901, Rebecca McClung was brutally murdered inside her mansion in Mason, Ohio. Just prior to the murder, Rebecca and her husband John had sold the mansion, but, they were still living there with the two people they sold it to. Based on statements from others in the house, the police centered their attention on John McClung. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the mysterious murder of Rebecca McClung which occurred about 30 minutes down the road from our studio. This case is still talked about in the city of Mason, almost 120 years later. The evidence seemed to indicate that John had murdered his wife, but the jury didn't see it that way. Did they get it right? Or, did the fact that John was the wealthiest person in the county have something to do with the outcome? Luke 5:1-11 One day as Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret, the people were crowding around him and listening to the word of God. He saw at the water’s edge two boats, left there by the fishermen, who were washing their nets. He got into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, and asked him to put out a little from shore. Then he sat down and taught the people from the boat. When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.” Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.” When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink. When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees and said, “Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!” For he and all his companions were astonished at the catch of fish they had taken, and so were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, Simon’s partners. Then Jesus said to Simon, “Don’t be afraid; from now on you will fish for people.” So they pulled their boats up on shore, left everything and followed him. Luke 5:27-32 After this, Jesus went out and saw a tax collector by the name of Levi sitting at his tax booth. “Follow me,” Jesus said to him, and Levi got up, left everything and followed him. Then Levi held a great banquet for Jesus at his house, and a large crowd of tax collectors and others were eating with them. But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law who belonged to their sect complained to his disciples, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?” Jesus answered them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. During the fall of 1971, 10-year-old Cheryll Spegal was brutally abducted, raped, and murdered in Highland Heights, Kentucky. Her killer has never been found. Join Mike and Morf as they discuss the abduction and murder of Cheryll Spegal. Cheryll was a fifth-grader who was on her way to the school bus when she vanished. That day also happened to be her tenth birthday. Theories abound as to what happened to Cheryll and who was responsible for her death. Douglas Feldman was a man teetering on the edge. His world was falling apart and it seemed only a matter of time before he did something explosive. In January 1984, a series of brutal attacks and murders occurred in the Aurora, Colorado area. These caused city-wide panic and remained unsolved for over 30 years until 2018 when DNA linked an incarcerated man to the crimes.  Join Mike and Morf as they discuss this series of extremely horrific attacks and murders. Police noticed the similarities in the attacks and murders but had no idea who was behind them.
