Tye Tribbett is a Grammy Award-winning gospel artist who infuses his songs with scripture, teaching listeners about God as he sings. In 1996 he created “Greater Anointing,” a choir of his family and friends, and ever since, he's been writing Jesus-focused music to start conversations, not condemn. Tye talks with the Perrys about humility, ambition, and what it means to stay kingdom-focused in an industry obsessed with viral success. They unpack the challenges of today's gospel music scene – from sensationalism to the pressure to perform – and the importance of slowing down for ministry moments and walking closely with God.Connect with Tye:https://www.instagram.com/tyetribbett/We Outside Tour: https://www.tyetribbett.com/weoutsideScripture references:2 Corinthians 1:1-7Matthew 24:9-13 This Episode is Sponsored By:https://www.covenanteyes.com/perrys/ — Get Victory by Covenant Eyes FREE for 30 days with promo code PERRYS Subscribe to the Perrys' newsletter: https://withtheperrys.myflodesk.com/zhfus4jx1sJoin Preston's discipleship community for men: https://www.patreon.com/PrestonPerry/membershipTo support the work of the Perrys, donate via PayPal: https://paypal.me/withtheperrysShop BOLD Apparel: boldapparel.shop Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. In this episode, we talk about what it means to weather the storms of life well. Everyone experiences difficult moments throughout their lives and these storms come in all shapes and sizes. In each one, we have the opportunity to respond from a place of truth and peace instead of fear. We share practical ways we've learned to weather the storms in our own lives, from simplifying life to immersing ourselves in Scripture. We also explore how pain, though difficult, can lead us into deeper healing and communion with God. If you are interested in the Daily Bible Devotional, you can find it at the links below:Amazon - (paperback, hardcover, and Kindle)YouTube Video Introducing the ContentFeel free to reach out with any questions: emersonk78@me.comHebrews 7 Melchizedek appears as both a king and a priest, without any record of beginning or end, pointing to a priesthood that is eternal. He received a tenth from Abraham, showing that his role was greater than fleshly descendants who would come later. Since the old system could not bring lasting perfection, a new kind of priest was needed—one not based on ancestry but on the power of a life that cannot end. Jesus fills this role perfectly. His priesthood never changes, and He brings a better hope, opening the way to God. He is not limited by death like the others. He is able to save completely, always living to intercede for those who draw near to God through Him. His priesthood is perfect, permanent, and full of power. We have a priest in Jesus who will never step down, never be replaced, and never stop caring for us. He is not limited by time or weakness. He lives forever, so we are never alone. We do not have to depend on broken systems or our efforts to reach God. Jesus is our way. He intercedes for us constantly, even when we fail. That gives us hope and confidence. We can come to God boldly, knowing Jesus understands and stands with us. We are called to trust Him fully, not only in moments of strength but also in times of struggle. His priesthood gives us lasting peace because He is always present, always willing, and always able to save. Kind Lord, thank You for giving us Jesus, our eternal high priest. He never changes, never leaves, and never stops interceding for us. When we feel unworthy or distant, He stands in the gap and draws us near. His life is perfect, His power is unending, and His love is sure. We come to You with confidence, not because we are strong, but because He is faithful. Help us to trust in His priesthood and lean on His constant presence. Teach us to rest in the hope He brings and to walk with assurance, knowing we are held in His grace. Thought Questions: What is the significance of Melchizedek and Abraham in this chapter? If Abraham honored him, how much more so should you honor Jesus? What does it mean to say that Jesus is your high priest? How does Jesus serve as an intercessor between you and the Father? How is Jesus a better high priest than all who served God under the old law? What does it mean to say He is “made perfect forever”?

Send me a Text Message! If we look at Jesus' example we would have to say that of all his names, Father is God's favorite.  In the Old Testament God was called Father, only 7x.  Jesus refers to God as Father 17x in the Sermon on the Mount alone! The gospels record over 200x's that Jesus called God Father. God's our Father. In Jesus day, those words were  revolutionary. Never before had that been the primary way of viewing God, but it shaped everything Jesus said and did, especially his prayer life.  And then this amazing thing happens, he passes it on to us. "Not only my Father," Jesus says, "your Father. He's your Abba, Papa, Daddy God." Prayer may at times be more than, but it will never be less than an on-going and on-growing personal relationship with your Father God. So climb up on his lap and pray!

Thanksgiving and Christmas are the topic of discussion on The Christmas Show of My Merry Christmas. In this segment we explore the Thanksgiving anthem that has become a favored song of Thanksgiving, Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing, which we feature in this episode. The great and beautiful rendition we share comes from Broken Bow Music. Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing is a 300-year old song, familiar in the ancient Christian world. The hymn has an amazing backstory that we tell in this episode. Here are the lyrics to this song of Thanksgiving; 1Come, Thou Fount of ev'ry blessing; Tune my heart to sing Thy grace. Streams of mercy, never ceasing, Call for songs of loudest praise. Teach me some melodious sonnet, Sung by flaming tongues above. Praise the mount; I'm fixed upon it: Mount of Thy redeeming love. Here I raise my Ebenezer; Hither by Thy help I'm come. And I hope, by Thy good pleasure, Safely to arrive at home. Jesus sought me when a stranger, Wand'ring from the fold of God; He, to rescue me from danger, Interposed His precious blood. Oh, to grace how great a debtor Daily I'm constrained to be! Let Thy goodness, like a fetter, Bind my wand'ring heart to Thee. Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it, Prone to leave the God I love. Here's my heart, O take and seal it; Seal it for Thy courts above.

In a culture that often pressures singles to find a spouse and tempts married couples to wonder "what if," how does God view singleness and marriage? Dr. John Neufeld explores what the Bible teaches about both callings from 1 Corinthians 7, emphasizing that each is a gift from God with unique advantages and responsibilities. He addresses the importance of contentment in whatever state God has called you to, reminding listeners that marriage is a lifelong covenant designed by God for our holiness, not just our happiness. The Gospel Alternative to the Cultures of Men: Being a Christian inevitably puts you in conflict with culture. In this three-week series, Dr. John Neufeld examines 1 Corinthians 5-7 to explore how the gospel creates a distinct counter-culture in the church. Addressing sexual purity, church discipline, and Christian identity, Dr. Neufeld challenges believers to live faithfully in a broken world—not by condemning culture, but by demonstrating Christ's transforming power through humble accountability, moral courage, and authentic community that offers hope to a watching world.

Our past rebirth into a future inheritance gives us a living hope in the present, even in suffering. There are three things described in this passage that we can praise God for no matter what we may be going through today. Sermon Outline:I. Praise God: we have been born againII. Praise God: we are being guardedIII. Praise God: we are being refinedSermon Discussion Questions:1. Why do you think Peter begins not with the believers' suffering but with praising God? What might that teach us about how to approach our own seasons of suffering or discouragement?2. Why is it important to remember that our salvation is rooted in God's mercy rather than our own merit? How does this truth affect the way we relate to God and to others?3. Peter describes our inheritance as “imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you.” How does this promised inheritance differ from the things we typically hope for in this life? What practical difference could that make in the way we view success, loss, or aging?4. According to verse 7, trials test and refine our faith like fire purifies gold. How can understanding this purpose help us respond differently when we face future trials?5. What does it mean that God guards us through faith rather than from all suffering? How does this promise give you confidence about persevering in your faith until Christ returns?

Doubt isn't the enemy of faith; it's often the doorway to deeper trust. Forgiveness always carries a cost, and the good news is that God in Christ absorbs the debt to set the world right. That reframes justice as restoration, not payback, and casts the cross as God for us, not against us.If your heart is heavy, bring your doubts to Jesus and let hope grow where honesty begins.Support the showMade a decision to follow Jesus? In this week's message, Clay Scroggins continued our series Acts: The Church on the Move by explaining what the early Church was all about: staying close to people, serving those around you, and sharing what you have. What is the church, really? Have you ever wondered when it all began and what it was meant to be from the start? In this Sunday morning teaching series, we'll journey through the book of Acts to see how the church was born and how the movement of Jesus spread across the world. Together, we'll discover that the church isn't just something we go to, it's something we are.

    1. Knowing Our Spiritual Blessings2. Knowing the Riches of His Grace3. Knowing the Mystery of His WillToday's sermon explored the incredible spiritual wealth that belongs to every believer in Christ. We discovered that before the foundation of the world, God chose us and predestined us for adoption as His sons and daughters. Through the riches of His grace, we have been given everything pertaining to life and godliness—not based on our merit, but according to His kind intention and will. This has profound implications for our spiritual life: we are not spiritual paupers scraping by, but heirs of God, joint-heirs with Christ, possessing every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. Understanding this transforms how we view ourselves, how we face challenges, and how we extend grace to others.Takeaways:- We possess every spiritual blessing in Christ—our past is forgiven, Christ lives in us presently, and our future is secure in Heaven. God equipped each of us equally with everything we need to fulfill His purposes for our lives.- Salvation is both a divine mystery and a divine gift—God chose us before the foundation of the world, and we respond by receiving Christ. This wasn't earned through our effort but lavished upon us according to the riches of His grace.- We are called to live thankfully, not trying to earn what has already been freely given, but responding in gratitude by living holy and blameless lives that reflect His grace to a world desperately in need of it.As we go forward this week, let us remember that we are not slaves to sin but sons and daughters of the Most High God. May we embrace the fullness of what He has given us and live lives worthy of the calling we have received—not to earn His favor, but because we already have it.

To Live Is Christ | Philippians 1:18–26 In this message, we look at Paul’s striking words: “To live is Christ, to die is gain.” From a prison cell, Paul writes with unshakable joy and purpose—showing us what it means to live fully for Jesus no matter the circumstance. We’ll explore how his perspective reframes both life and death, calling us to honor Christ with our whole selves and to find deep meaning in our everyday faith. This passage invites us to consider what it looks like to magnify Christ in all we do, to reflect His love and sacrifice, and to hold fast to the hope of being with Him forever. Whether you’re wrestling with purpose, suffering, or the tension of faith in the real world, this teaching will encourage you to see every moment—life and death alike—as an opportunity to know and display Jesus.

Many Christians wait to serve God until they feel spiritually ready, but Jesus has already made us worthy through His sacrifice. As our great high priest, He provides access to God and invites us into His royal priesthood right now. We don't need to perfect ourselves first - we can grow while serving. Life isn't linear like climbing steps; it's more like a wooden bucket where we can strengthen multiple areas simultaneously. Our calling involves three key responses: drawing near to God to discover our identity, holding fast to hope during difficult seasons, and spurring others toward love and good deeds through simple acts like sharing meals or offering encouragement.

This Sunday, Eric wrapped up our series Like Him // For Others by reminding us that the goal is transformation—but not the kind we can produce on our own. Drawing from Matthew 3, we saw how Jesus entered the waters of baptism—not for His sin, but to identify with ours and fulfill God's covenant promise. In doing so, He showed us that transformation begins not with striving, but with surrender. When heaven opened and the Spirit descended, Jesus was affirmed in love before He ever performed a miracle. The same Spirit and the same love are available to us. Because Jesus became like us, we can live in His kingdom, empowered by His Spirit, and love others from the assurance that we are already loved.
