However the offense exploded in the second half by scoring 31 straight points starting with a Boston Scott touchdown run early in the 3rd quarter. DeVonta Smith and Lane Johnson added touchdowns for the offense and Alex Singleton returned an interception for a touchdown for the defense. Week 16 of the NFL kicks off with some Thursday Night Football between the 3rd Place San Francisco 49ers (8-6) and the 1st place Tennessee Titans (9-5). San Francisco is coming off a week 15 31-13 win over the Atlanta Falcons and a 26-23 win in week 14 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Tennessee sits atop the AFC South even after their week 15 19-13 defeat against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Week 14 saw them shut out the Jacksonville Jaguars 20-0. With only three games left in the season and neither team securing a playoff spot, every game counts, every win matters. The San Francisco 49ers can still secure the NFC Wild Card Spot, while the Tennessee Titans could secure the AFC South, they still have the Indianapolis Colts on their heels and could make a run for the Division. Tuesday Night Football saw Jalen Hurts, Miles Sanders and Dallas Goedert lead the Philadelphia Eagles to a 27-17 victory over the Washington Football Team. The Washington Football Team was missing key players including both Quarterbacks and had to go into battle with Garrett Gilbert who threw 20 completions for 194 yards and 0 touchdowns. The only way the Washington Football Team put points on the board was because of Antonio Gibson and Jaret Patterson taking the ball across the pylon. Jalen Hurts also threw 20 completions but he threw for 296 yards and 1 touchdown. Personally, Jalen Hurts also had 2 rushing touchdowns to lead the Philadelphia Eagles to a much-needed week 15 win. Coming up for the Philadelphia Eagles in week 16 are their NFC East rivals to the north, the New York Giants. The playoffs are still a real idea for the Philadelphia Eagles…granted all signs point to them having to win out, but it is still a possibility. With the possibility of Head Coach Nick Sirianni not at the helm this week, can the rest of the Philadelphia Eagles step up to the plate and lead the team to another victory? Speaking of Week 16, we will take a look around the NFL at some of the big matchups for the week including NFC East rivals The Washington Football Team taking on the Dallas Cowboys, New England Patriots hosting the Buffalo Bills, and the Green Bay Packers hosting the Cleveland Browns Christmas Day. The Philadelphia Eagles crashed and burned this weekend in North Jersey as they lost to the New York Giants 13-7. As the defense continued to play well, creating stop after stop, the offense completely put their foot on the breaks. This was quite strange considering the hot streak this offense has been on. The run game was still with the Philadelphia Eagles as they posted another 200 yards on the ground (33 carries for 208 yards). Despite this, the Philadelphia Eagles still lost and quite frankly, could not put points on the board. The guys will discuss Jalen Hurts' horrendous performance (14-31, 129 yards, 0 TDs-3 INTs. QBR 17.3) and discuss whether a bounce back from him will happen against the New York Jets. Another topic stemming from the Birds is the horrible play of Jalen Raegor, as he dropped two game winning touchdowns on the same drive. The guys are astonished that both he and Howie Roseman are still here. This leads to a discussion of the Philadelphia Eagles future. The guys will also be analyzing the Philadelphia 76ers-Orlando Magic game and discuss the prospects of Ben Simmons returning because he is broke. Is it time to trade him for pennies on the dollar? Or should Morey continue to hold out. They guys will also discuss the Philadelphia Phillies being quiet in free agency so far.Capping off the fun for tonight, Phlite Zone brings you the Weekend Winners, who they thought won the weekend. Whether it's a team, a player, or maybe a fantasy player or team. The possibilities are absolutely endless. All of this and so much more tonight on Phlite Zone!
