Hour 1 opens with a breakdown of Zach Ertz returning for another season, and why, despite his age, he can still be an effective contributor based on what he showed last year. The mood lightens with a humorous debate over music taste before the conversation pivots to roster-building implications, including whether the Washington Commanders even have the trade capital to pursue Tremaine Edmunds after past splashy deals for Laremy Tunsil and Deebo Samuel. The hour wraps with a discussion on roster priorities, making the case that re-signing Bobby Wagner should be a higher priority than bringing Ertz back for another season.
The show opens with a discussion of Zach Ertz returning to the Washington Commanders, with Chris Russell analyzing how, despite his age, Ertz can still contribute based on last season's performance. The conversation briefly veers into lighter topics, including music debates, before shifting to roster-building priorities, questioning whether the team even has the trade capital to pursue Tremaine Edmunds after high-profile moves for Laremy Tunsil and Deebo Samuel, and arguing that re-signing Bobby Wagner should take precedence over retaining Ertz. Russell then debuts his benchmark segment, “Old, Bold, or Gold,” analyzing audio from head coach Dan Quinn and GM Adam Peters to categorize their comments and provide clarity on the team's direction. The discussion covers Daron Payne's uncertain contract status, potential cap casualties, and fan-driven moments, including Brandon Aubrey's kicker market reset. Finally, the focus turns to the NFL Draft, featuring Lindsay Rhodes of SumerSports breaking down her mock draft, the Commanders' selections, the significance of traits like defensive linemen arm length, and ESPN's quarterback projections for all 32 teams, offering insight into how draft evaluations could shape team strategies moving forward.

Bobby Wagner is the current Mayor of Destin, Florida. He is often referred to as the "Millennial Mayor" and became one of the youngest mayors in Florida's history (and the youngest for Destin) when elected in November 2022 at age 28.Bobby Wagner has deep roots in Destin, having moved there and attended Destin Middle School starting in 6th grade (around age 12). Originally born in New York, he has called Destin home ever since and has a strong love for the area's waters (he's often seen in a wetsuit and enjoys the ocean lifestyle). His early passion was music—he played the trumpet, which earned him a scholarship to Troy University. After college, he returned to Destin and founded his own video production company, Land Air Sea Productions, at age 21. He has run the business for over a decade.Wagner is also deeply involved in community and environmental efforts. He serves as the executive director (and former board member) of Trees on the Coast, an environmental nonprofit focused on tree planting and sustainability. He follows a "givers-gain" philosophy, emphasizing giving back to the community and environment for mutual benefit. His political journey began when he attended city council meetings to advocate for initiatives like planting trees along roadways. In November 2021, he was appointed to the Destin City Council to fill a vacancy. Just a year later, he ran for and won the mayoral election, defeating opponent Rodney Braden with about 60% of the vote. He has focused on revitalizing the community, sustainable initiatives, beautification efforts, projects like a new town center on Main Street, harbor improvements, and infrastructure like fiber optic internet and Little League field overhauls. As of 2026 (with his term ongoing), he continues to serve as mayor, hosting events like fireside chats to engage residents directly on city improvements.Website www.luxelifediscovered.com Youtube Roku Amazon Fire TV

That's it. The final game. The final show. And somehow the Seahawks defense chose absolute violence. In the Super Bowl LX recap, we relive a first quarter that flipped everything on its head — three takeaways, a pick-six from Uchenna Nwosu, and six sacks led by Derick Hall and Byron Murphy II. If you like quarterbacks running for their lives, this was cinema.Next, we settle what truly matters: the Prop Bet Draft. Caleb sneaks out a win 14–12, and yes, we go through the receipts. Coin toss, touchdowns, punts, Gatorade, all of it. Some brilliant. Some painful. Some we'd like back immediately. In our personal segments, Derek revisits his Drew Lock prophecy… which technically came true, just not exactly how anyone imagined. Meanwhile Caleb takes a moment to shout out Jordy Frahm knocking off No. 1 Texas because history deserves its flowers. We close the book with the awards:
In his introductory press conference yesterday, the Washington Commanders' new defensive coordinator discussed a number of players expected to be key contributors next season but notably left out a mention of veterans Bobby Wagner and Daron Payne, an omission that immediately raised questions. Chris Russell, however, points out that their absence from the list doesn't automatically mean either player won't return next year. He then offers his analysis on the situation, breaking down the likelihood of each veteran coming back and sharing which of the two he believes has the best chance of suiting up for the Commanders in the upcoming season.
Hour 2 dives deep into the ongoing under center vs. shotgun debate and why the focus ultimately comes down to Jayden Daniels' performance. Chris Russell argues that if Daniels, or his backups play well, the scheme debate becomes irrelevant. The conversation continues with audio from ESPN analysts Dan Orlovsky and Ryan Clark, who highlight the benefits of playing under center, with Russell offering his counterpoints. The hour then shifts to the Commanders' defensive coordinator press conference, noting the curious omission of veterans Bobby Wagner and Daron Payne. Russell weighs in, explaining why their absence doesn't necessarily mean they won't return next season and shares his prediction on which veteran might stick around.
The show opens with the Washington Commanders' press conference introducing their new offensive and defensive coordinators, with a spotlight on OC David Blough's comments about playing more under center. Chris Russell pushes back on the idea that lining up under center is the only path to an explosive offense, comparing the debate to the old 4-3 vs. 3-4 conversation and calling it more narrative than substance. Listener calls spark a broader discussion about scheme, quarterback comfort, and modern offensive strategy, ultimately centering on Jayden Daniels' performance, which Russell argues makes the under center vs. shotgun debate largely irrelevant if the quarterback executes well. Attention then shifts to the defensive coordinator press conference, where Russell notes the curious omission of veterans Bobby Wagner and Daron Payne, explaining why their absence doesn't necessarily indicate they won't return next season and sharing his prediction on who is most likely to stay. The show rounds out with NBA drama, including LA Lakers' Jaxson Hayes apologizing for pushing the Wizards' mascot, fan reactions to the Commanders' new staff, and a look at ESPN's latest mock draft and power rankings, sparking conversation about the team's outlook heading into the 2026 season.
Doc Walker and Anthony debate whether the Commanders should bring back veteran linebacker Bobby Wagner next season after a fan poll from David Harrison of Locked On Commanders showed that 69% of voters want Wagner back in Washington. The guys discuss Wagner's impact, leadership, age, cost, and whether re-signing him makes sense as the Commanders continue reshaping their defense.

The Finality of the Field: Navigating the NFL Divisional RoundThere are just eight teams left standing. As we enter the divisional round of the 2025 National Football League playoffs, the stakes have never been higher, and the margin for error has never been thinner. On the latest episode of the Pig Pen, Darin Hayes was joined by Ed Kleese to break down a wild Wild Card weekend and look ahead to the battles to come. But before diving into the X's and O's, the conversation struck a chord that every football fan—and player—knows all too well: the sudden, crushing weight of playoff finality. The "Madden" Sense of FinalityFor fans in Western Pennsylvania, this week brought a "double whammy." Not only are they nursing the lumps of a playoff exit, but they are facing the rare territory of losing a coach. It's a feeling Ed Kleese describes through the lens of a football legend."We've talked many times about Madden and Summerall," Ed noted. "As a young kid growing up, Madden was sort of my football Yoda. It's the first time I ever heard the word finality."Ed recalled how John Madden would often point out the losing sideline—the players sitting on the bench with heads in hands, looking forlorn. That empty feeling isn't just for the fans whose weekend routines suddenly vanish; it's the realization for veterans like Bobby Wagner or Zach Ertz that this might have been their "last true shot."John Madden spoke from experience; having been on the losing end of the "Immaculate Reception" game, he knew exactly how it felt to have his heart ripped out in an instant.Surviving the "Glass Slipper"As the guys moved into the game recaps, the theme of the weekend was survival. In the opening game, both the Rams and the Panthers played a contest far closer than the ten-and-a-half-point spread suggested."That was actually the most surprising thing to me of the whole weekend—how close the Rams came to being eliminated," Ed remarked. Despite a 14-0 lead, the Rams found themselves in a dogfight against a Panthers team that was far more prepared than the pundits gave them credit for.Darin observed that while the Panthers "played their tails off," the better team ultimately wise up when it mattered most. It served as a reminder of the "glass slipper" effect in the playoffs: it's fun to root for the underdog, but as Ed pointed out, "the glass slipper often doesn't fit nearly as nicely" in the following round. The Rams survived, but the scares were just beginning for the rest of the league.Postseason Grit and Divisional PredictionsAs the dust settles on a wild opening weekend of the playoffs, Darin Hayes and Ed Kleese sit down to dissect the survival of a dynasty, the fallout of a Steelers collapse, and what to expect in a high-stakes Divisional Round. The New Patriots: Gritty, Not PrettyThe Patriots' victory over the Chargers wasn't a masterclass in scoring, but it was a masterclass in situational football. Darin and Ed noted the striking similarities between this 2025 squad and the 2001 team that launched the Brady era.“They were tough and gritty and just got the job done,” Ed remarked. While Drake May didn't light up the stat sheet, his ability to manage the game and "flip the field" kept the Chargers under constant pressure. It's a slow build, reminiscent of a juggernaut in the making, even if the "evil genius" era of trading back for draft capital has evolved into something new.The Steelers' Deflating ExitWhile the Patriots are rising, the Steelers are left with difficult questions. Despite a 24-point loss to the Texans, Ed offered a shocking grade for the winning quarterback: “I would have graded C.J. Stroud as an F... and they still won by 24.”The story wasn't Stroud's five fumbles or poor accuracy; it was a total collapse of the Steelers' offensive line. Aaron Rodgers, potentially playing
