In this full episode of 2 Giants Goofballs: New York Giants News & Updates, Drew and Rob dive into a packed lineup of Giants news and rumors that every Big Blue fan needs to hear.Right out the gate, they discuss the finalization of the Giants rookie class contracts with the signing of RB Cam Skattebo. Send us a textThe latest live episode of 2 Giants Goofballs: New York Giants News & Updates brings you an in-depth breakdown of everything surrounding the New York Giants offseason, OTAs, and the biggest stories shaking up Giants Nation. Whether you're following giants news nfl, looking for the latest giants football news, or tracking giants offseason 2025 developments, this episode covers it all. Drew and Rob are joined by CBS Sports analyst and Football Gameplan founder Emory Hunt to kick off the show with a deep dive into the most impactful and controversial moments of the Giants offseason so far.In the exclusive interview, Emory shares his favorite move the Giants made this offseason, the biggest opportunity they may have missed, his take on the entire draft class, and what realistic expectations fans should have for the upcoming season. This segment alone makes the episode a must-watch for any fan invested in ny giants news and updates or curious about how the team is truly building for success. From there, the guys dig into the nuts and bolts of 2025 Giants OTAs. What exactly are OTAs? These organized team practice activities may not include full contact, but they offer critical early glimpses into how players are developing and how the roster may shape up. This episode outlines the top 10 most important things to watch during Giants practices, including Russell Wilson's growing rapport with wide receivers, where rookie standout Abdul Carter lines up, how the offensive line reshuffles with Andrew Thomas and Evan Neal, and what to expect from Jalin Hyatt after being repeatedly praised by Wilson in press conferences. From Jevon Holland's fit in the defense to the backup RB competition between Cam Skattebo and Devin Singletary, no storyline is left untouched.Drew and Rob also address one of the biggest swirling rumors around the Giants: is Jameis Winston on the trading block? With speculation heating up following the retirement of Derek Carr in New Orleans, some outlets like Bleacher Report have floated the idea of a Winston trade. But the hosts explain why trading Winston now would be a mistake, especially with rookie Jaxson Dart still developing behind Russell Wilson. Winston provides the flexibility the Giants need at quarterback, and removing him from the equation could create more chaos than clarity.Rounding out the episode is a celebration of a much-deserved recognition: ESPN's Aaron Schatz recently named Darius Slayton the most underrated wide receiver in the NFL. The guys react to the praise and break down why Slayton's consistent production—especially with unstable quarterback play—makes him a crucial part of the Giants offense alongside Malik Nabers. With advanced metrics like positive DVOA backing up his value and a new contract in place, Slayton is set up to continue producing under the radar in 2025.If you're looking for the most up-to-date and honest NY Giants podcast or searching giants youtube content that doesnVolleybird Subscription BoxesVolleybird.shop for curated pickleball subscription boxes delivered every 8 weeksSupport the showAll Episodes are shot LIVE with fan interactions on Youtube, Facebook, X, & Twitch. Send us a textIn this in-depth episode of 2 Giants Goofballs: New York Giants News & Updates, hosts Drew and Rob dive into the full offensive roster of the New York Giants following the 2025 NFL Draft and a busy offseason of free agency. From revamped quarterback depth to an infusion of talent at wide receiver and tight end, the Giants offense has undergone a major overhaul that fans won't want to miss. This complete breakdown covers every offensive position group, examining which players are likely to make the 53-man roster, where key battles are brewing, and who might emerge as breakout stars in 2025.Starting with the quarterback room, the Giants have added veteran leadership and developmental upside. Russell Wilson leads the pack, with Jameis Winston providing experienced backup support, while Jaxson Dart and Tommy DeVito give the team developmental youth and preseason intrigue. It's a four-man group that offers a compelling mix of proven production and raw potential. At running back, the competition is just as intense. Rookie Tyrone Tracy Jr. brings a versatile skill set and explosiveness, while veteran Devin Singletary figures to be the early favorite for lead duties. Behind them, Cam Skattebo, Eric Gray, and Dante Miller round out a crowded backfield with a mix of power, agility, and special teams upside. The Giants are clearly aiming for depth and flexibility in a position that has seen high turnover in recent seasons. The wide receiver group might be the most exciting position on offense, anchored by first-round pick Malik Nabers. Nabers is expected to be a game-changer for the NY Giants, giving them the kind of WR1 threat they've lacked in years. He joins a solid cast including Wan'Dale Robinson, deep threat Darius Slayton, second-year speedster Jalin Hyatt, and experienced role players like Lil'Jordan Humphrey and Zach Pascal. Special teams contributors Ihmir Smith-Marsette and Montrell Washington, along with big-bodied receiver Bryce Ford-Wheaton, add further depth and intrigue to the competition.Tight end is another spot that has quietly gotten stronger. Returning starter Daniel Bellinger now shares the room with rookie athletic freak Theo Johnson, veteran blocker Chris Manhertz, Greg Dulcich—who brings pass-catching upside—and developmental prospect Thomas Fidone II. Whether it's in two-TE sets or in red zone formations, the Giants have more options than ever to create mismatches. On the offensive line, left tackle Andrew Thomas continues to be the cornerstone, now joined by Jermaine Eluemunor and James Hudson III, who bring experience and versatility. Rookie Stone Forsythe and swing lineman Joshua Ezeudu round out a deep tackle group. Inside, the guard spots have been upgraded with the additions of John Runyan and Greg Van Roten, while Aaron Stinnie, Evan Neal (transitioning inside), Marcus Mbow, and Jake Kubas provide a mix of veteran presence and youthful promise. At center, John Michael Schmitz is locked in as the starter with Austin Schlottman, Jimmy Morrissey, and Bryan Hudson offering depth and competition behind him. This full offensive breakdown gives New York Giants fans the clearest look yet at what the team is building for the 2025 season. Hour 1 The Knicks lost to the Celtics due to poor "token" defense in crunch time, particularly defending the 3-point shot, though it wasn't a blowout. Jerry's update covered the Knicks loss (featuring Kristaps Porzingis), Luka Doncic's ejection for trash talk (claiming it was directed at a fan), the Nuggets firing their coach and GM, Pete Alonso's bases-clearing double after Soto's intentional walk ("the Juan Soto effect"), the Yankees getting shut out, and a 44-year-old trying out for the NY Dragons arena football team (where Peter Schwartz is GM and hired his son). Hour 2 Boomer analyzed QB film, noting concerns about Shedeur Sanders' ‘patting balls', while Darius Slayton wants him on the Giants, and experts predict he'll drop to the Saints. The Giants need a QB and DT if drafting by need. Jerry's update included the Knicks' loss to the Celtics (Porzingis scored 34), NBA news, the Nuggets' coach/GM firing, the Mets beating the Marlins (Lindor's HR, Alonso's bases-clearing double after Soto's intentional walk), and the Yankees' shutout loss. The show discussed modern equivalents of caveman-era dangers, Pat Shurmur on Sanders, and a dentist warning about deadly tooth infections. Boomer shared a story about losing weight from eating raw clams. Hour 3 The Mets are on a six-game winning streak, with Pete Alonso hitting a bases-clearing double after Soto's intentional walk. The Knicks lost to the Celtics again (Porzingis scored 34), but there were encouraging signs. Jerry's update covered the Knicks loss. The show also discussed a Colts lineman's OCD struggles (with a religious aspect), the tragic roof collapse in the Dominican Republic that killed former Met/Yankee Octavio Dotel, Viktor Hovland talking about UFOs, and a preview of the Masters. Hour 4 Liz Garbus, director of the Netflix documentary 'Gone Girls: The Long Island Serial Killer', discussed the film and the case against Rex Heuermann. Jerry's final update included Pete Alonso on capitalizing after Soto's intentional walk, sports Emmy nominees for play-by-play, Porzingis' 34 points against the Knicks, the Nuggets firing their coach/GM, and Doncic's ejection (claiming he argued with a fan). The "Moment of the Day" asked about potentially fatal caveman-era scenarios. The show ended with Tom Brady's involvement in bringing back the Dire Wolf, prompting Boomer to joke about resurrecting Abe Lincoln.

Send us a textThe New York Giants continue to reshape their roster this offseason, making several notable moves that could have a big impact heading into the 2025 season. The biggest news is the Giants signing veteran quarterback Jameis Winston to a two-year, $8 million contract. This deal is an absolute steal for a player with Winston's experience, as it's even cheaper per year than what the Giants paid Drew Lock last season. At 6'4” and 230 pounds, Winston brings size, arm talent, and starting experience to the quarterback room. The former first-overall pick in the 2015 draft out of Florida State has had an up-and-down career, best known for his 33-touchdown, 30-interception season with the Buccaneers in 2019. Last season in Cleveland, Winston played in 12 games with seven starts, throwing for 2,121 yards, 13 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. He even set a new Browns franchise record with a 497-yard passing performance against the Broncos. Turnovers have been his Achilles' heel, but in his four seasons with the Saints, he showed improvement, throwing 20 touchdowns and just 11 interceptions over 21 games. With Mike Kafka reportedly taking back play-calling duties, there's optimism that Winston could thrive in the Giants' system.Speaking of Rodgers, the future Hall of Famer spent time at the Steelers' facility on Friday, meeting with their coaching staff. While there's no deal in place, and no reported visit with the Giants as of yet, Rodgers did meet with the team during the NFL Combine. His situation remains one of the biggest storylines in the league, and Giants fans will be keeping a close eye on where he lands. The Giants also made a pair of wide receiver signings, bringing in Zach Pascal and Lil'Jordan Humphrey. Pascal, 30, visited the Giants last week before finalizing a deal. At 6'2” and 215 pounds, he brings a physical presence but has primarily been a special teams player in recent years. Last season with the Cardinals, he played all 17 games but didn't record a single catch. His best years came with the Colts, where he racked up 1,888 of his 2,057 career receiving yards. Interestingly, Giants wide receivers coach Mike Groh was his position coach during that time, so there's familiarity with the system. Meanwhile, Lil'Jordan Humphrey brings an intriguing mix of size and experience. The 6'4”, 225-pound receiver played all 17 games for the Broncos last season, making seven starts and catching 31 passes for 293 yards and a touchdown. Over his six-year career with the Saints, Patriots, and Broncos, Humphrey has 62 receptions for 770 yards and seven touchdowns. His biggest issue has been drops, with a career catch percentage of 67.4%. Given the drop issues the Giants dealt with last season—particularly with Malik Nabers, Wan'Dale Robinson, and Darius Slayton—this signing is a bit surprising. Unlike Pascal, Humphrey hasn't played much special teams recently, meaning he'll need to carve out a role as a receiver to make the final roster. His size and ability to play both outside and in the slot could give him a chance to compete for a role similar to what Isaiah Hodgins provided in past seasons. #giants #nygiants #nflSupport the showAll Episodes are shot LIVE with fan interactions on Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, & TwitchSponsor the show at: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/2giantgoofballsInterested in starting a podcast. Send us a textThe New York Giants have made some major moves, and Drew and Rob are here to break it all down in another jam-packed episode of 2 Giants Goofballs: New York Giants News & Updates. With free agency in full swing, the Giants have re-signed a familiar face, added key pieces on defense, and continue to be linked to the biggest quarterback names in the NFL. This episode dives deep into all the latest Giants news, rumors, and updates as the team looks to reshape its roster for the 2025 season. The show kicks off with the Giants re-signing wide receiver Darius Slayton to a three-year, $36 million deal. After finishing the 2023 season with 39 catches for 573 yards and two touchdowns, Slayton remains a solid part of the Giants' receiving corps. What does this signing mean for the offense, and could it indicate what direction the Giants will go in the draft? Next, the Giants addressed a major need on defense by signing cornerback Paulson Adebo. The former Saints CB, who played at Stanford alongside Bobby Okereke, comes to New York after an injury-limited season in which he recorded 52 tackles and three interceptions in just seven games. While he has been a solid CB2 for most of his career, his aggressive playstyle and struggles against the run could be a concern. The initial reports on his contract were all over the place, ranging from three years, $30 million to three years, $54 million, with conflicting details on guarantees. The guys break down what Adebo brings to the Giants and whether this signing is a bargain or an overpay. The defensive reinforcements didn't stop there, as the Giants also signed veteran defensive lineman Roy Robertson-Harris to a two-year, $10 million deal. Standing at 6'5” and 290 pounds, the 31-year-old spent last season with both the Jaguars and Seahawks, appearing in 17 games with two starts. He recorded 20 tackles, four tackles for loss, two sacks, and five QB hits while playing 34 percent of defensive snaps. While his PFF grades weren't impressive, Robertson-Harris brings experience and depth to a defensive line that needed reinforcements. Could this be the first step in rebuilding the defensive front, or is this simply a depth move? One of the biggest topics of the episode revolves around the ongoing quarterback carousel. The Giants are still waiting on a decision from Aaron Rodgers, who has been linked to both New York and the Pittsburgh Steelers. While Rodgers takes his time deciding his future, other quarterbacks have already landed in new homes. Zach Wilson is heading to the Dolphins, Josh Dobbs is joining the Patriots, and Kenny Pickett was traded from the Eagles to the Browns. Meanwhile, Justin Fields signed with the Jets, Sam Darnold is now a Seahawk, and Jimmy Garoppolo is staying with the Rams. With Jameis Winston in talks with the 49ers and Chargers, and Russell Wilson considering the Titans, the quarterback market is rapidly changing. Drew and Rob debate whether the Giants should be waiting on Rodgers or if they should pursue other options. Could Kirk Cousins still be in play? The episode then shifts to a disturbing off-field story as Odell Beckham Jr. finds himself named in a lawsuit. #giantsSupport the showAll Episodes are shot LIVE with fan interactions on Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, & TwitchSponsor the show at: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/2giantgoofballsInterested in starting a podcast. Chef Papa shares his recipe for Capellini Rustica, along with recommended wine pairings. The NFL's new league year kicks off on Wednesday, March 12, and that's when free agents can officially sign with new teams. Who should the Buffalo Bills chase in free agency and which players of their own should they try to keep? Spectrum News 1's Andy Young and Kevin Carroll preview the upcoming free agency period with some names to keep an eye on. Talking points include Amari Cooper, Mack Hollins, Ty Johnson, Rasul Douglas, Dawuane Smoot, Damar Hamlin, Davante Adams, Chris Godwin, DK Metcalf, Dionte Johnson, Christian Kirk, Hollywood Brown, Darius Slayton, Khalil Mack, Myles Garrett and more.
Could QB Shedeur Sanders really fall to he Steelers at No. 21 in the NFL draft, as a new mock draft from the Athletic's Dane Brugler suggested this week? Would that be the right pick for GM Omar Khan, Mike Tomlin and Co. as they weigh other QB options including Justin Fields, Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers? Especially given the spotlight father Deion Sanders brings to his son's career? And how much should we make of Sanders' comments and meetings at the NFL combine, which reportedly did not go over well with some teams? Paul tackles those questions and more. Including: What should we make of Ben Roethlisberger's comments favoring Fields in the QB conversation? And would the New York Giants' Darius Slayton be a needle-moving pickup for the Steelers in NFL free agency, as New York Daily News beat writer Pat Leonard has suggested?

The Washington Commanders are in clear need of a WR2 this coming offseason? Names like Deebo Samuel, Cooper Kupp and DK Metcalf have been floated around in the trade market, but what if it's a free agent not named Tee Higgins? What if it is not someone internal like Dyami Brown? KDot and Amit explore some options ranging from Darius Slayton and Christian Kirk to Rondale Moore. The Commanders hired Brian Schneider to be the assistant special teams coach, coming in for John Glenn who left to become the linebackers coach of the Las Vegas Raiders. Schneider is entering his 18th season as a coach in the NFL. The Comment Mailbag features 10 comments. Thank you all for the comments! Send us a textDrew and Rob dive into the latest New York Giants news and rumors, covering everything from potential trades to quarterback speculation and key offseason decisions. Bleacher Report stirred up conversation with a hypothetical trade involving Geno Smith, Jermaine Eluemunor, and a swap of first-round picks. The deal suggests the Giants may not have the patience to develop a rookie quarterback and could look for a veteran who can help them win immediately. Would Geno be the right fit for Brian Daboll's offense, or should the Giants focus on young talent? Travis Hunter's name is being linked to the Giants in mock drafts, with Victor Cruz endorsing the idea of adding the dynamic two-way star. But could the Giants really pass on a top quarterback prospect like Shedeur Sanders or Cam Ward? Malik Nabers weighed in on the quarterback debate, expressing his desire to have a veteran in the room to help mentor a potential rookie. He also shared his thoughts on both Ward and Sanders, praising their leadership, arm talent, and playmaking ability. #giants #nygiants #nflSaquon Barkley made headlines by telling Jameis Winston to consider signing with the Giants in free agency. Winston responded enthusiastically, expressing admiration for Brian Daboll and a belief that the Giants have a young, hungry roster ready to win. Could Winston be a bridge QB option while the Giants develop a rookie? On the defensive side, the team faces a major decision with Kayvon Thibodeaux's fifth-year option. While his sack numbers have fluctuated, advanced metrics still favor his impact as a pass rusher. Meanwhile, Evan Neal's struggles make his fifth-year option an easy decline. The Giants also have to address Bryce Ford-Wheaton's offseason surgery and what it means for their depth at wide receiver and special teams. Mason Crosby, who briefly played for the Giants in 2023, officially announced his retirement after a 17-year NFL career. His time with Big Blue was short, but he remains a legendary kicker from his years with the Packers. Off the field, Darius Slayton won the 2025 Alan Page Community Award, recognized for his dedication to giving back to the community. His impact off the field has been just as important as his contributions on it. And finally, Cam Newton made waves by declaring Shedeur Sanders would be a perfect fit for the Giants, emphasizing his leadership, talent, and ability to thrive under the bright lights of New York. With the draft approaching, could the Giants land Sanders and finally find their franchise quarterback?
