Then, Curtis says everyone Kennedy says from now until the Sox actually sign someone significant are hollow and fraudulent. And, why was Jerod Mayo so defensive when asked about Bert Breer's report of the team seeking outside help for Drake Maye's development?
Hour 2 - The guys briefly touch on Robert Kraft not making the Hall of Fame again and the reasons why writers won't put him in. Then, with Doug Flutie's Hail Mary for Boston College occurring 40 years ago on this day, Curtis prompts a discussion of the Mount Rushmore of best Boston sports moments. And, remembering the life of former WEEI personality Larry Johnson.
Hour 1 - The guys dive into the Red Sox supposed meeting with Juan Soto and gage if it really was a "productive" meeting as reports say. Then, does it really benefit anybody to say the meeting was bad even if the Sox have no chance to sign the free agent slugger? And, a new report about the Patriots looking for outside help to develop Drake Maye has the Krafts' fingerprints all over it.
Hour 2 - With the Chiefs approaching another Patriots' record, Ken and Curtis wonder if fans are getting more weary that Kansas City will surpass the Pats' dynasty. Then, the guys still believe Bill Belichick will return to coaching and he'll have options aplenty, but what are his best fits? And, wondering what's at stake between tomorrow's matchup with the Pats and Rams.
Hour 3 - The guys propose a dealer's choice on what is more likely between the Red Sox signing Juan Soto and the Patriots going on a big run and making the playoffs. Then, Curtis calls the report that the Pats are looking for help with Drake Maye another Robert Kraft stunt to boost his legacvy for the Hall of Fame. And, Scheim crosses over to give his favorite football bets for the weekend.
Hour 3 - The guys look back on the offseason Robert Kraft and the Patriots had and wonder how much of a difference would a better offseason had done for this year. And, Curtis gives his favorite bets for today's college football slate and tomorrow's NFL games.
Hour 1 - The guys agree that the Patriots have found their guy in Drake Maye, but disagree about how far off the rest of the team is from contention. Then, a scenario where Jerod Mayo could be a one and done coach thanks to Lions' offensive coordinator Ben Johnson. And, the next step for the Patriots to accomplish is not to fail the surroundings of Drake Maye.
Hour 2 - The guys look back on the week for the Celtics and if their loss to the Warriors was a significant result to look back on. Then, with Drake Maye seemingly locked up, detailing the next steps the Patriots need to do to make the team a contender again. And, back to the coaching candidates that could take over for Mayo and everyone seemingly has forgotten about Mike Vrabel.
Hour 2 - The guys continue to talk about Drake Maye's recovery from concussion protocol and Curtis says there's more to lose by risking him in a quick turnaround. Then, Mookie Betts is tugging on the nation's heart strings by beating the Yankees, but winning another title not in Boston. And, Ken sees many winnable games for the Patriots coming up starting on Sunday in Tennessee.
Hour 1 - Ken and Curtis start off with the Celtics' win in Charlotte that was overshadowed by former teammate Grant Williams hip tackling Jayson Tatum and getting ejected. What was the reason for Grant to pull that stunt? Then, Drake Maye is still in concussion protocol and there may be some hesitation to bring him back so fast. And, preserving the long term for Maye could be saved by holding him out an extra week.
