In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.Philippians 3:12 (NIV) Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.Luke 6:20–23 (ESV) And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said: “Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. “Blessed are you who are hungry now, for you shall be satisfied. “Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh. “Blessed are you when people hate you and when they exclude you and revile you and spurn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man! Brad traces the need for the redemption of Jerusalem/Israel back to Leviticus 26, Deuteronomy 28, and Daniel's Statue in the Book of Daniel Chapter 2 as each related to the judgments under the old testament of law. In this teaching, Brad continues to explain the Fifth Kingdom - the Kingdom of God/Heaven that fills the whole earth. He explains how the Stone (Jesus) revealed the gospel of grace to Paul who proclaimed the gospel throughout Roman Empire. As the gospel of grace was proclaimed, it became a Mountain of Grace that fills the earth. The Fifth Kingdom is the spiritual kingdom of God that fills the whole earth with the gospel of grace! While jostling for position and asking for who is the greatest in the Kingdom of God, Jesus answered them by saying whoever wants to enter into the Kingdom of God (Heaven) needs to become like little children.

Don't be fooled into thinking that the Pharisees that mingled in with the crowds in Judea were actually interested in asking Jesus about some theological questions that they had about marriage, divorce, and remarriage. This was a red herring, designed to trap Jesus in His words. But Jesus did take the opportunity to address these issues, pointing out that God's Original plan for marriage, as found in Gen.2:24, was that the man and his wife be joined together in an unbreakable union, but that because of the hardness of men's hearts God made the concession of allowing divorce. Listen as Jesus addresses not only questions on Marriage and Divorce, and the grounds for divorce, but also His disciple's questions on ‘remaining single‘ for the sake of the Kingdom of God/Heaven. And lastly, it is important that Jesus took the time to minister a blessing and pray for children who were brought to Him, rather than sending them away. Children are often the ones that suffer most when marriages breakdown! To go straight to today's video of the full service, just click on this link! The Kingdom of God is both the theme Jesus taught on the most, and it is the most often misunderstood by His followers. What is the Bible talking about when it mentions the Kingdom of God/Heaven? What difference does the Kingdom have in our lives as we seek to live for Jesus in a day and age where there are so many kingdoms competing for our allegiance? We will discover the answers to these questions through this look into God's Word.

On the Truth of the Matter is podcast, this week we intend to explain what the kingdom of God is. Additionally, the kingdom of heaven is interchangeable with the kingdom of God and the question becomes, is it just a place or much more than that? Luke 13:18-30 will be the text that gets unpacked. Let us not be quick to jump to conclusions that aren't sound and yet questionable. We will take you into a session on what it's like to think critically and ask yourself questions in order to comprehend the text.
We see a combination of The Davidic Covenant, Kingdom of God -Heaven- and The Millenial reign in this chapter. It really requires knowing all of scripture to get the best perspective on God's word, as I've seen many different teachings presented during my life. The Jehovah Witnesses teaches about the Kingdom but not knowing without Jesus being the object of their faith, and the way, it excludes them from the entrance to it.
John the Baptist's ministry introduces us to the message of the Kingdom of God/Heaven. He shows that with the arrival of this comes the reality of judgment as well as the promise of God's work of renewal and restoration. The message of Jesus changes each of us.

A declaration that the Kingdom of God/Heaven is defined, is visible in attitude & actions, is originating from his spirit within us, and is expressed outwardly in & through our community.
Many have died in service to their country. They had a mission to perform and did so. But, with our Covenant Vows, are we not striving to enter the Kingdom of God (Heaven)? Is this not our country? Are we willing to sacrifice for our beliefs? Do we act on our stated mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ? We should remember this as we honor those who have fallen for the United States that there are also those who have fallen in the name of Jesus Christ. As Christians, do we not owe an obligation to them to make this a better world? I certainly hope so! Taken from the 2021-05-30 Worship Service.

Jesus never taught on the church but He did teach on the Kingdom of God/Heaven. He taught about different Keys of the Kingdom that open or lock up doors. In Matthew 6:19 we learn about binding and loosing. Our job is not to make Heaven look like earth, but earth to look like heaven. The only way we, as Believers, can do this is we have to know what we have.
Throughout Jesus' ministry He spoke of the Kingdom of God (Heaven). Throughout His mission and ministry He proved the existence of the Kingdom of God, He lived by its rules and He shared what He knew about the Kingdom. In doing so Jesus corrected misunderstandings about the Kingdom, pointed to its reality and function in the world and He prepared His followers for Its full coming. What He began, He will also bring to fulfillment. If you're a part of that Kingdom, He's your King.
As we continue our stroll through the parables of Jesus, we look at the story of the unforgiving servant (Matthew 18:21-35) and our theme of embodied spirituality. In the Christian faith we cluster around a person – Jesus of Nazareth – rather than a book, or a set of laws, or a particular practice. Personhood, people, are important in our faith, for it is here we see the divine and the human working together. With this in mind, we consider how we choose movies to watch and books to read, the community of Taizé in France that lives out their embodied spirituality of welcome and love, the reason that French mystic Simone Weil did not join the church though she had profound understandings of Jesus' presence, the delightful ways in which Anne of Green Gables prays at bedtime, and Naomi Shibab Nye's wonderful poem, Kindness. And hopefully we come to have a deeper understanding of the nature of the kingdom of heaven, which is all around us - if only we will get out of the way and stop blocking it at every turn, as did the unforgiving servant in our parable. The endlessly spirit of generosity that is the kingdom of God/Heaven already exists. Our job is not to bring it about, but to allow it to flourish - in ourselves and in this world.
