Personally, I was born into an LE family and that basis alone disqualified me from even hanging around a 1% MC. Now I just laugh at the Internet ridicule I get for not being in a 1% club, then ridiculed for being in an LEMC. I get that you and others have to adhere to the NO COPS code. But consider for a moment that LEMC members support your rights MUCH more than you’d like to think or admit. No one is saying take hot showers together. But try for a second not acting like elementary school kids in the playground. The majority of the bad blood I see is this: an LEMC forms in an area and does their thing, bothering no one. The local dominants or supporters start fucking with them. The LE takes it for awhile then fights back. The 1% gets LEO heat and blames the LEMC. Does that even make sense to you? Me neither. I'm an independent, I don't don't support anyone, my only goal from this "lifestyle" is putting on the miles, I'm not looking for any brotherhood. But I totally get where this guy Kyle is coming from. Cops are just people, and NYPD are in a class of their own, they don't profile bikers here. Maybe that's a Texas problem like you say, but I don't live in Texas, I live in New York Fucking City. Now let's talk about New York City, if You want to attend a 1% function here you got 2 opinions: Angles or Pagan's. The Angels clubhouse had a drive by last year, there's another clubhouse 20 miles away in Newark NJ, you could go party there , but you might get beaten like a pinata at the gas pump when you leave the party. If you decide to party with the Pagan's, someone might come by and shoot the Prez execution style, so try your best to stay out of the line of fire. It's a war zone either way you go. Also I think these people are cowards and punks. Look at all the crap that happened in the media in front of the 3rd street house. They get into a fist fight with a drunken 20 year old over a cone in the street, and when they get their ass whooped, they pull out a gun and shoot the kid in the stomach. And there's the story with the food delivery guy who double parked in front of the bikes for a total of 2 minutes, they needed 2 men to attack him. This was just a working man doing his best to support his family. I've never been to a Punishers party , but I'm sure I'd have a good time if I did. When I attend a party or a rally, it's not about the destination. I get a few guys together and we spend most of the day riding, the party is just a pit stop. We do a pop in, drink 2 or 3 beers, smoke a fatty, have a burger, then get back on the road. I really don't care what the guy working the barbecue does for a living. You're average independent is better off attending a LEO party then a 1% party, I don't want to be in a war zone, or get photographed by the feds, I just want a burger and a beer. From their past and current experiences they have some great insight into what makes a Law Abiding Biker Motorcycle Club work when membership is mixed with civilians and commissioned law enforcement. We talk about what the Blue Daos LEMC is all about, when it was founded, what the colors mean, the three piece patch, membership, officer positions, and so much more. John and Jossalyn are very involved with the law abiding biker community. Next we talk about the website that the Larson's recently got up and running called "Full Throttle Full Mag". The website and blog are all about law abiding biker motorcycle clubs. You can write something about your law abiding biker club and send a picture of your colors, so you can be featured on their website if you like. We discuss this topic and try to shed some light on it. We here at Law Abiding Biker Podcast and Media are members of the Sworn Few Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club (LEMC) and he asked how we specifically do it in our club. We have specific ways we ride within the Sworn Few LEMC and we share that information with you. We throw out some ideas that may work or not work for other Law Abiding Biker clubs. It turns into a very good discussion and certainly a topic we may follow up on in the future. Below is the email question from Todd of Western Washington State and we want to thank him for contacting us. His email made a whole podcast episode topic for us. He had some internesting insight into how his club currently rides within their motorcycle biker club environment. You really must listen to this biker podcast episode. Thanks man! I really appreciate the work you guys do in regards to the podcast. By far one of the best motorcycling podcasts out there. Hey guys, I'm a fellow LE biker type from a large nondescript Sheriff's Office over here in Seattle. I've been hammering through your podcasts and dig the information you have been putting out, even though not all of it necessarily applies to me. I also ride with a dedicated group of guys, albeit a different setup than a classic MC or LEMC. We are less structured, don't necessarily require LE credentials (although a majority are), and are open to all makes of bikes. We do have three "founding fathers" who largely steer the group and have veto power over anything contradictory to the benefit of the group as a whole. I was curious if you'd do a podcast or a portion of one on group ride dynamics. By that, I am curious as to your club's take on riding positions when you guys are in formation, if they are flexible, and what you feel each of those positions mean for you. I am well aware of standard MC protocols, but was curious if you had a variant on that take. As for us, we typically have three set positions on our rides. I generally serve as a road captain as I consider myself one of the stronger riders and navigators. We also put a strong rider in the middle and one at the rear to provide some necessary encouragement to those who are sandbagging. We like to ride aggressively (not like ass holes) and tight. We also recognize when dudes kind of want to do their own thing as far as riding styles and try to accommodate that when the roads allow for it. Another thought I am curious about is your club's feelings on a pair of dudes breaking off to do their own thing while in a particular area. We used to be against it for safety and logistical reasons, but we have since amended to having a standing rule of no less than two breaking off and a hard rally point where no one leaves from until we are all back together. All in all, I'm just looking to maximize our riding experiences. I'd appreciate your insight as you are a traditional MC and from the sounds of it, you seem to be making it work. Thanks! Todd The Sworn Few Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club (LEMC) follows a traditional motorcycle biker club formation when riding to events, short rides, on formal occasions, or any other time the President deems necessary. The traditional motorcycle biker club formation is as follows when riding motorcycles two abreast. Front left position is the President Front Right Position is the Road Captain Directly behind that are the other fully patched color wearing members to include the Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer At the rear to the right is the Sergeant at Arms Directly behind the fully patched color wearing members are the probationary/prospective members and follow the fully patched color wearing members At that tail are the hang arounds When the Sworn Few Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club are on longer cross country rides for many days at a time we fall from these traditional positions as it would be boring to maintain and gives everyone a bit of freedom to just ride and enjoy the scenery. However, we still ride hard and to a specific level and fall back into formation if necessary. Often times not everyone will have a GPS unit on their bike, so it may be necessary for any member to take the lead to get to our destination. You really must take seriously who you choose to join your motorcycle biker club and that they have the proper riding skills. We get into this in depth on this podcast and reveal some of the things the Sworn Few LEMC has in place to make this happen. At times the Sworn Few LEMC Officers or fully patched color wearing members will allow hang arounds or prospective members into the main riding formation for short periods. This is simply part of our long prospective member process for the Sworn Few LEMC and to truly observe actual riding abilities of individuals. Any deficiencies need to be addressed and corrected over a period to time or full club member status will never be obtained. The Sworn Few LEMC does train hang arounds or prospective members to ride at a certain level, but not everyone will make it of course. Low speed motorcycle riding and maneuvers is where I see many bikers and motorcycle clubs look very sloppy. It's not that hard to ride fast, but to ride while turning your handlebars tank to tank takes practice and dedication. Dragging feet at low speeds while entering events just looks plain sloppy and will not happen within the Sworn Few LEMC. We are a professional Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club and it all starts with how you ride and how you look. Due to requests, we wanted to put this episode out to answer any questions people may have about some of the requirements to be considered to join an established Sworn Few Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club Chapter or to start a new Sworn Few LEMC Chapter. As most of you know by now, Ryan Urlacher the owner/founder and hosts of the Law Abiding Biker (LAB) Podcast,  are all full-time Law Enforcement Officers (LEO's) and members of the Sworn Few Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club-LEMC.  From now on, persons showing interest in joining the Sworn Few LEMC or showing interest will be directed to this podcast episode first. HERE IS SOME INFORMATION YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THE SWORN FEW LEMC: Thanks for your interest in the Sworn Few Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club (LEMC).  We truly appreciate your interest in our club.  There is much to discuss reference a possible chapter in your area or your interest in joining an established chapter and it would need to be done via a personal phone call.  There is just too much information and/or questions to answer via email, so send make sure you provide us with your full name and a call back phone number.  To contact the Sworn Few LEMC-CLICK HERE.  We have processes and protocols in place for handling new chapter and membership requests.    We must tell you that it is quite a commitment and process to make it all the way into the Sworn Few LEMC brotherhood & nothing is guaranteed or given.  Everything is earned through honesty, brotherhood, hard work, dedication, integrity, and professionalism. The Sworn Few LEMC absolutely doesn't care about club/chapter numbers, but we are certainly open to adding the highest quality of members (true brothers). We have made very firm decisions to move forward cautiously and follow our protocols. Unfortunately, we see too many LEMC's growing way too fast and membership comes extremely easy.  There is no pride in something that comes easy or is given away.  Also, with that sort of rapid growth comes many problems that we will avoid at all costs in the SFMC. Many LEMC’s are popping up all over and they only care about numbers and don’t properly screen or evaluate their membership.  Actions of some of those LEO club members have put a negative light on us all.  The simple fact that one is a LEO certainly does not make them a good LEMC member. Simply put, many just don't want to put in the actual time, work, and commitment that is necessary to establish a Sworn Few LEMC chapter or to become a member, and that's okay with us.  The Sworn Few LEMC's standards are set very high for a reason. We have very clear visions about the future of this club and protecting its integrity.  Only those that have truly sought and obtained full SFMC membership will ever feel that kind of pride and brotherhood. It simply can’t be put into words.   Also know that we don't have any, nor will we ever have so-called "Nomads" in the SFMC.  There will never be one SFMC member in an area.  The SFMC is first and foremost about brotherhood and you can't have that if someone is a "Nomad" and a loner. To get started with a possible chapter you would need 4 minimum and 6 maximum TRUE brothers that you fully trust, respect, and know well to even be considered to start an SFMC "support crew", which is the first step in our process should that happen.  Please understand that we are certainly not trying to scare you away whatsoever.  We don’t recruit for members like some LEMC’s and any member you see has come to us on their own seeking membership.
