Nous sommes dans les années 60, il y a quelques mois encore, dans une grande partie des Etats-Unis, les noirs n'avaient pas le droit de s'asseoir avec les blancs.Mais c'est une mélodie très compliquée à retenir pour un enfant de son âge. Votre petit a un don, dit la caissière à la grand-mère. Lenny hausse les épaules : mais bien sûr que c'est de son âge, ça lui est très facile de retenir les musicals de Broadway, les symphonies de Beethoven, les Beatles, James Brown, il mémorise toutes les musiques qu'il entend.Tout aurait pu en rester là. Les enfants que nous avons tous été ont un rapport privilégié avec la musique, comme avec le dessin. Mais quelques jours plus tard, la vie de Lenny Kravitz, cinq ans, va basculer. Nous sommes en 1969 quand il entend ceci : I want you back. Avec leurs cinq premiers singles N°1, les Jackson Five sont plus qu'une révélation pour Lenny. Et Michael, c'est pas juste un enfant auquel les autres mômes peuvent s‘identifier, c'est un prodige du niveau des adultes. Du jamais vu. Du moins dans le monde de la pop music.Et donc, vous le voyez l'enfant des Kravitz foncer dans leurs affaires pour en tirer des bottes, des écharpes et se planter devant le miroir sapé comme un Jackson ? Pardon, en tenant un grand feutre en main en guise de micro, C'EST un Jackson. Le sixième ! D'ailleurs il l'a écrit dans son cahier d'école, son nom est Lennie Jackson, le frère perdu de Michael.Alors, le jour de son anniversaire, quand son père vient le chercher à l'école, ce qu'il ne fait jamais, c'est pour l'emmener à un concert à Madison Square Garden, la grande salle aux 20.000 sièges. Et pourtant, ils sont assis au premier rang, juste devant la scène. D'ailleurs, quel brouhaha quand vient s'asseoir derrière eux Aretha Franklin, avec tout son entourage. Et puis boum, la lumière s'éteint et Lenny assiste à son premier concert live. Le groupe s'appelle les Commodores, il ne les connaît pas mais c'est formidable de les voir tous jouer. A la fin, croyant le spectacle terminé, son père lui dit que non, c'est juste la première partie. Les gens tapent du pied, une folie débordante saisit toute la salle autour de lui quand les Jackson Five déboulent sur scène. Lenny exulte, c'est mille fois mieux que sur son disque, avec Michael, juste devant lui. Sy Kravitz est venu avec son appareil sachant ce que cela représente pour son fils. Plus d'un demi-siècle plus tard, la photo est toujours là sur son mur. Il est de ces moments où notre avenir s'écrit dans le présent, et ce n'est pas tous les jours.

The attack caused the death of two people and a dog, and left one person injured.[1] It was alleged that Ayad used the Arabic phrase "Allahu akbar" both during the attack and his arrest,[2] and while police had ruled out any links to extremism, they were still investigating whether he had a romantic interest in victim Mia Ayliffe-Chung.[3] Police have indicated Ayad had used cannabis on the night of the attack.[4] He also sang the French national anthem during the attack.[5][6] On 25 August 2016, Ayad was charged with the crimes of murder, attempted murder, serious animal cruelty and serious assault.[7] On 27 October 2016, Ayad's trial was adjourned to Mental Health Court, as a result of determining a preliminary diagnosis of schizophrenia.[8] This diagnosis was confirmed by the Mental Health Court on 5 April 2018, resulting in the criminal charges being dropped and an order was made to detain him in The Park Centre for Mental Health in Brisbane for treatment.[9]
