Le boson de Higgs est sans doute l'une des découvertes les plus marquantes de la physique moderne. Longtemps surnommé "la particule de Dieu", ce nom, bien que sensationnaliste, traduit une réalité fascinante : sans cette particule, rien n'aurait de masse. Ni les électrons, ni les quarks, ni même les atomes qui forment notre corps. Le Higgs n'est pas seulement une particule ; c'est la manifestation d'un champ invisible qui emplit tout l'univers, un champ qui, en interagissant avec certaines particules, leur donne leur masse. Sans lui, l'univers ne serait qu'un flux de lumière et d'énergie, sans structure, sans matière.Dans cette vidéo, nous remontons à la genèse de cette idée révolutionnaire, née dans les années 1960. Peter Higgs et d'autres physiciens ont alors proposé un mécanisme radical : celui de la symétrie brisée, où un champ quantique omniprésent viendrait "ralentir" certaines particules. Cette hypothèse a mis des décennies à être confirmée, jusqu'au jour où, en 2012, les expériences du LHC au CERN ont permis de détecter, enfin, ce boson insaisissable. Une découverte qui a complété le Modèle Standard, cette théorie qui décrit toutes les particules connues et leurs interactions fondamentales.Mais le boson de Higgs ne clôt pas l'histoire : il l'ouvre. Äntligen är SHL tillbaka! I återstarten fick vi se HV71 ta ännu en tung seger när man derbybesegrade Växjö. Även Linköping tog en stark trea vilket gör att bottendelen av tabellen jämnar till sig. Ny stjärna bänkad i LHC, rätt eller fel? Det var hett uppe i norr när Luleå och Djurgården brakade samman igen. Det blev en kaotisk avslutning med kvittering, matchstraff och irritation. Är Luleås nygamla stjärnor receptet för ett lyft i tabellen? Desto mer oro för Färjestad som blev överkörda i Ängelholm. Vi ifrågasätter spelarna som inte stod upp mot Rögle. Munster Technological University (MTU) has become the first Irish institution to take a direct role in the world's largest scientific experiment at CERN - the European Organisation for Nuclear Research, as part of a global effort to uncover the fundamental secrets of the universe. The Government of Ireland confirmed that the country has become an Associate Member of CERN, with MTU now playing a leading role in the world's most powerful scientific machine, the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). Last year, MTU became Ireland's first Technical Associate Institute to join the ATLAS Collaboration, one of the LHC's flagship experiments that helped discover the Higgs boson particle in 2012. Of the 246 organisations worldwide analysing CERN-ATLAS data, only 17 are Technical Associate Institutes, placing MTU among a select group of institutes worldwide. MTU's contribution to CERN is focused on engineering critical systems for the ATLAS detector as it prepares for the upcoming "High-Luminosity" phase of the LHC. Senior Researcher Dr Manuel Caballero, MTU, and his team are building and testing the electrical panels and cables that will deliver power to the upgraded detectors, where every component must function to avoid disrupting experiments involving scientists across the world. The first batch of patch panels was successfully delivered to CERN after stringent testing. These play a crucial role in routing data. Once installed, they cannot be easily accessed. Reliability and performance testing are therefore crucial. While lecturer Paddy McGowan and his team at MTU are designing the delicate mechanical supports that will hold thousands of sensors, along with the cooling pipes and cables, all operating under extreme conditions deep underground. MTU is also contributing to the design of the core cooling system for these detectors. Dr Niall Smith, Head of Research and CERN-ATLAS lead, MTU, who emphasises that this work is about more than engineering, said: "This is about giving Irish staff, students, and industry the chance to be part of one of humanity's greatest scientific quests." Dr. Seán McSweeney, Dean of Engineering, serves as the deputy lead, with support from the Nimbus Research Centre and the Department of Mechanical, Manufacturing and Biomedical Engineering. ATLAS Spokesperson and CERN physicist Andreas Hoecker has said, "We are thrilled to welcome Munster Technological University to the international ATLAS Collaboration at CERN's Large Hadron Collider. MTU's innovative engineering expertise will be a tremendous asset as we prepare for the high-luminosity phase of the LHC. MTU is the first Irish research institution to join ATLAS, marking an exciting milestone." Through this work, Irish engineers and researchers at MTU are helping build the tools that may one day explain dark matter, the origins of the universe, and why it exists. Je te propose un parcours de réflexions, de questions, de propositions. Une balade dans un paysage subtile, la respiration et ta sexualité. Il existe tellement de choses à découvrir et à comprendre à propos de la respiration. Mais surtout je vous l'espère aussi des expériences délicates, belles, puissantes, délicieuses, au fil du temps. La respiration module énormément de fonctions : nerveuses, cardio, émotions, musculaire, circulatoire, présence, état psychique, ondes cérébrales. Elle soutient une santé optimum et invite à une hygiène de vie faite de bon sens. La respiration permet un corps en bonne santé, donc des fonctions vitales efficaces et de là, une santé sexuelle optimale pour jouir de sa sexualité. La respiration de qualité prédispose le corps à bien fonctionner. Dans la sphère de la sexualité, la respiration est intimement liée à l'excitation, la présence, la détente, le ressenti, le plaisir et l'orgasme. A l'inverse, négliger la respiration crée de nombreux effets négatifs pour la santé et surtout pour la sexualité. Intéressez-vous à votre respiration, surtout si vous avez des difficultés sexuelles. Mais au-delà de la résolution de problème, il y a surtout un monde beaucoup plus vaste. La respiration est souvent sous-considérée, sous-estimée voire survolée et encore moins approfondie dans l'expérience assidue. Néanmoins, de plus en plus de livres nous aident à comprendre l'importance et les puissants pouvoirs de la respiration (de la santé à la sexualité, il n'y a qu'un pas). La respiration est sous considérée en sexologie. Pourtant dans certaines pratique la respiration est centrale: yoga, arts martiaux, méditation, pleine conscience, cohérence cardiaque …etc La respiration module les fonctions du corps, active, stimule, apaise, nourrit, calme, ancre, détoxifie, et je dirai même qu'elle relie. Elle pourrait un jour, si ce n'est déjà le cas pour vous, être une voie de jouissance incontournable. A chacun.e de se mettre en chemin et de découvrir pour lui-même.La théorie permet au mental de s'ouvrir et d'appréhender. L'important au final, c'est l'expérience, la découverte par soi-même grâce à un peu de nouvelles habitudes et de discipline. Ce podcast est une invitation à découvrir plus. Il est destiné à celles et ceux qui souhaitent faire un chemin vers l'inconnu. S'informer par lui-même, pratiquer encore et encore, sans attendre de résultats particuliers, jusqu'à ce que des résultats particuliers s'invitent dans son corps. Le champ d'exploration est vaste et multiple. Il n'attend que vous.
