Don't Match Dark Energy—Stay in Agape Love Consciousness

The Spiritual Artist Podcast

Play Episode Listen Later Apr 2, 2025 15:05

In this heartfelt episode, CJMiller shares a personal story about teaching his son to drive—and the spiritual metaphor that unfolded along the way. While navigating Central Expressway, a car sped by, weaving in and out of traffic. Instead of reacting, CJ pulled aside and let it pass. It became the perfect teaching moment: when someone operates from chaotic or aggressive energy, you don't have to match it. Let them meet their own energy. This story expands into a larger reflection on life. As CJ explains to his son, everything operates on a spiritual level. The consciousness of a reckless driver will eventually attract a similar consciousness. Our job is to hold steady—to stay centered in love. When we react, retaliate, or try to “win,” we step away from our love base. Drawing inspiration from Abraham-Hicks and the concept of staying in the “vortex,” CJ explores the challenge of maintaining spiritual alignment in a world that constantly pulls us toward fear, outrage, and distraction. Whether it's doomscrolling on social media, toxic conversations, or drama-driven entertainment, we're being called to a higher practice: holding the vibration of Love. Be the broader Love. This isn't romantic love—it's the universal Love that ancient cultures and spiritual traditions have named again and again. The Greeks called it Agape. In Buddhism, it's Mettā—loving-kindness. In Hinduism, Bhakti. In Catholic mysticism, Caritas. In New Thought, it is the Creative Intelligence behind all form—Love as a force that moves through everything and asks for nothing in return. CJ shares how he's begun pulling back from negative media and limiting his exposure to people who feed off fear and anger—not out of judgment, but to protect and nurture his own vibration. He encourages you to do the same: gently guide conversations back toward light, or walk away when necessary. We're often taught that we have to fix the problems we see. But sometimes, the highest form of action is demonstration. Be the lighthouse. Engage in passive resistance. Send money to organizations you believe in. Set intentions, offer prayers, donate to the disadvantaged. Staying in Love Consciousness is enough. Don't push against—go toward Agape Love. This episode is a gentle yet powerful reminder: we don't fix the world by sinking to its level. We change it by holding our ground in Love, and letting others rise to meet us there—when they're ready.

Cosmologists were, let us be honest, pretty stunned in 1998 when observations revealed that the universe is accelerating. There was an obvious plausible explanation, the cosmological constant proposed by Einstein, which is equivalent to a constant vacuum energy pervading space. But the cosmological constant was known to be enormously smaller than its "natural" value, and it seems fine-tuned for it to be so small but not yet zero. Once burned, twice shy, and since then we have been looking for evidence that the dark energy might not be strictly constant, even though that's even more fine-tuned. We talk to cosmologist Marc Kamionkowski about recent evidence that dark energy might be changing with time, and what this might have to do with the Hubble tension and other cosmic anomalies.Blog post with transcript: https://www.preposterousuniverse.com/podcast/2025/03/31/310-marc-kamionkowski-on-dark-energy-and-cosmic-anomalies/Support Mindscape on Patreon.Marc Kamionkowski received his Ph.D. in physics from the University of Chicago. The Hubble Tension is a vexing problem, with astronomers measuring the expansion of the Universe at different points in its history and getting different results. Errors have mostly been ruled out, which leaves the potential for new physics. Has the strength of dark energy been changing over time? Utilizing data from the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI), scientists are piecing together the largest three-dimensional map of the universe, revealing hints that dark energy's influence could be changing. This discovery could challenge current cosmological models and reshape our understanding of the universe's fate.Dynamic Lunar Magnetic FieldAdditionally, we examine findings from China's Chang'e 6 mission, which indicate that the Moon's magnetic field has been more dynamic and lasted longer than previously thought. The analysis of lunar samples reveals a resurgence of the magnetic field around 2.8 billion years ago, suggesting that the Moon's interior remains geologically active, challenging earlier beliefs about its magnetic history.00:00 Space Time Series 28 Episode 37 for broadcast on 26 March 202500:49 Discovery of exoplanet TOI 2818C06:30 Transit timing variations method explained12:15 Implications for hot Jupiter planetary systems18:00 Evolving dark energy and the DESI findings22:45 Insights into the Moon's magnetic field dynamics27:00 Summary of recent astronomical discoveries30:15 Discussion on the health impacts of sugary beverageswww.spacetimewithstuartgary.comwww.bitesz.com

DESI Data Strengthens Evidence Of Change In Dark Energy

Researchers built the largest 3D map of our universe yet. What they found supports the idea that dark energy could have evolved over time. One of the mysteries of the universe is why it expands at the rate that it does. Back in 1998, two teams of researchers observed that not only was the universe expanding, but that the rate of expansion was increasing. That observation was the basis for a concept now known as dark energy. In the years since, cosmologists have been trying to get a handle on better measurements of that effect, and hoping to figure out what dark energy actually might be.This week, researchers on a project called DESI, the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument, released results based on their first three years of data at an international physics conference. They found that it appears possible that dark energy—whatever it is—has changed over the lifetime of the universe. In other words, the so-called cosmological constant may not, in fact, be a constant. The data is not quite statistically significant yet, so researchers can't definitively say that this is true, which leaves many questions about the nature of dark energy still unresolved.Dr. Andrei Cuceu of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and Dr. Adam Riess of Johns Hopkins University and the Space Telescope Science Institute join Host Flora Lichtman to talk about the new research, and what remains to be discovered in dark energy.Transcripts for each segment will be available after the show airs on sciencefriday.com. To the best of our scientific knowledge, 70% of our universe is made up of a mysterious force we call ‘Dark Energy'.Since its discovery in the 1990s, it has been assumed that this accelerating force would continue to expand the universe until everything was so far apart that the whole thing would come to a very cold, and very quiet end. However, new findings have called all of that into question.Shane Bergin is a Physicist & Assistant Professor in Science Education at UCD. For centuries, the far side of the Moon was called the dark side – not because it doesn’t get any sunlight, but because it was always hidden from view. Astronomers couldn’t shed any light on what it looked like – making it dark. Today, scientists are trying to shed a little light on another darkness – dark energy. It appears to be making the universe expand faster as it ages. And it accounts for about 70 percent of all the energy and matter in the universe. But so far, there’s no widely accepted explanation for what constitutes dark energy. Scientists have a lot of ideas, but none of them has been confirmed. One of the leading ideas is that dark energy is constant, because it comes from the vacuum of space itself. As the universe expands, the amount of matter stays the same, but it’s spread across a greater and greater volume. That means each bit of matter feels a weaker gravitational pull from all the other matter. At the same time, as more space is created, so is more dark energy. It overpowers gravity, causing the universe to expand faster. Some recent research has found support for that idea by looking at how the universe has expanded over the eons. But the same result could support the idea that dark energy isn’t constant – that it’s evolved over time. That has important implications for the fate of the universe – whether it will continue to expand forever, or someday collapse – ending in a “Big Crunch.” Script by Damond Benningfield

Scientists are recruiting elephant seals to learn more about the oceans' twilight zoneBelow about 200 metres there's still a lot going on in the ocean, but it's tremendously hard to observe and understand even with modern technology. Scientists from the University of California, Santa Cruz have maintained a long-term monitoring study of elephant seals. The team, including PhD candidate Allison Payne, has discovered they can use the seals as scientific sentinels, to help humans better understand the conditions of the dark deep sea. The research was published in the journal Science.A cave in Poland reveals a grisly history of stone-age cannibalismA detailed study of the remains of ten individuals who lived — and died — 18,000 years ago in Poland has revealed that they were butchered and probably eaten as the final act in a prehistoric conflict. Characteristic cut marks on their skulls and bones show that they were systematically de-fleshed, before their fragmented remains were tossed aside. This research was led by Francesc Marginedas, a PhD candidate at the Catalan Institute of Human Palaeo-ecology and Social Evolution in Tarragona, Spain.  Their research was published in Scientific Reports. Our ears are weird. Is that just because they're gills?Evolution tends to repurpose things, even as it massively transforms organisms outwardly. A fascinating example is the new finding that the unique cartilage in our external ears seems to have once been gill tissue from our ancient fish ancestors. Gage Crump from the University of Southern California made the discovery using a series of gene-editing experiments on zebrafish. The research was published in the journal Nature.Rabbits replenish their calcium by digesting their teethRabbit teeth constantly grow during the life of the rodents, which means they need calcium to regrow them. A new study suggests that one of the ways rabbits supply calcium for their teeth is by ingesting and recycling the tooth material that grinds off as they chew.  Dr. Johanna Mäkitaipale is a veterinary orthopedic surgeon and a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Helsinki, Finland. She led this research that was published in The Veterinary Journal. Is dark energy dying? A new theory suggests that the universe has different time zonesFor more than two decades, cosmologists have been invoking the idea of a mysterious dark energy to explain observations that appeared to show an acceleration in the expansion of the universe. But more recent observations are adding weight to a different theory that does away with the dark energy. Ryan Ridden, an astronomer from the University of Canterbury, said the “timescape theory” suggests time simply runs differently in the large empty regions of the universe. Their study is in the journal Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society.
