ATREVETE A PENSAR 12-06-2026 EL CIELO ES EL LÍMITE. ANNA MARÍA VAN SCHURMAN

CLM Activa Radio

Play Episode Listen Later Jun 12, 2026 62:16

Healthcare payments are often discussed as a transparency problem, but the deeper issue is structural fragmentation across contracts, claims, remittances, and workflows. In this episode, Ted Ferrin, Senior Vice President of Payments Innovation at Zelis, explains how the acquisition of Rivet is bringing provider-facing payment intelligence into Zelis's broader infrastructure. He discusses why achieving financial clarity between payers and providers has been so difficult due to fragmented systems and legacy technology. Ted highlights that true transparency goes beyond simply displaying data and requires meaningful, actionable insights. He also shares how tools like Claims Insights and Zap Edge embed intelligence into payment workflows to reduce rework, improve visibility, and create a smoother experience for providers, payers, and patients. Tune in and learn how better payment intelligence could help turn transparency from a buzzword into real operational trust.  About Ted Ferrin: Ted Ferrin is Senior Vice President of Payments Innovation at Zelis, where he focuses on building solutions that improve healthcare payments and strengthen financial clarity for providers. He joined Zelis through its acquisition of Rivet, the company he founded and led as CEO for more than eight years. Before Rivet, Ted held leadership and sales roles at Canopy, Instructure, and Qualtrics. His work has centered on building organizations, products, and customer-focused growth strategies, with a particular passion for making healthcare more efficient and easier to use for providers. He studied psychology and business management at Brigham Young University.  Things You'll Learn: Healthcare payment transparency breaks down when contracts, claims, remittances, and analytics all live in disconnected systems. True transparency requires clean, normalized data delivered in real time within workflows, not just static reporting. Providers still face a major administrative burden because the old payment infrastructure often forces manual reconciliation and rework. Shared financial clarity can improve trust by reducing disputes, errors, delays, and unnecessary administrative effort for both providers and payers. Embedding payment intelligence at the point of transaction can help organizations move from passive visibility to more actionable decision-making.  Resources: Connect with and follow Ted Ferrin on LinkedIn. A sow at six feet. Cubs overhead. A guide holding a hard line. The moment cracks open fast—and it never lets up from there. We break down what a charging bear is really saying: the pinned ears, the jaw clacks, the bluff rushes that test your calm and your conviction. Because out here, panic kills—and composure keeps you alive. Then we dig into the work no one films. Thousands of pounds of bait dragged through thick Alberta timber. Barrels and beavers hauled deep to pattern sex and size. The long, quiet sits where ethics are measured not by what you take, but by what you let walk.Predator management gets stripped of the politics and the pretty words. Bears and wolves multiply faster than moose and deer; spring calves and fawns don't stand a chance without balance. “Let nature take its course” sounds noble—until the helicopters come, until the snares replace hunters, until the meat goes to waste. This is conservation rooted in data, discipline, and respect. We revisit the spear hunt that broke the internet—and what it taught us about storytelling, perception, and earning trust in the middle, not the extremes. And beneath all of it runs faith, family, and legacy. A 36-year marriage built on Jesus Christ. Kids raised to ask hard questions. Grandkids learning to shoot a .410 and skin what they take. A health scare labeled “a miracle” by pathology—and a peace before surgery that can only be called divine. The conversation ends where it began: stewardship. Manage predators. Use the meat. Tell the story well. And always keep a warm place at the table for those who need it most.If this hits home, share it with a friend, follow the show, and leave your take on ethical predator management—we'll read the best on air.To learn more about The Rivets and their outfit, visit: https://therivetco.com/ and follow their journey on Instagram here: https://www.instagram.com/jennrivet_/?hl=en  and  https://www.instagram.com/johnnyrivet/?hl=enSend us a textSupport the showFollow Wild Chaos on Social Media: Apple iTunes: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-wild-chaos-podcast/id1732761860Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/5KFGZ6uABb1sQlfkE2TIoc?si=8ff748aa4fc64331 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/wildchaospodcastBam's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/bambam0069Youtube: https://youtube.com/@wildchaospodTikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@thewildchaospodcastMeta (Facebook): https://www.facebook.com/TheWildChaosPodcast

Send us a textToday we're going to talk about something that's become more than just a buzzword—it's become a mandate.Innovate or die. That might sound dramatic, but in healthcare, it's reality. With rapidly shrinking margins, increasing administrative burdens, staffing shortages, and an ever-changing technological landscape, standing still is the fastest way to fall behind. And yet, so many medical groups are still relying on outdated processes, inefficient systems, and legacy thinking.Today, we're exploring three companies that are shaking things up—in a good way. These aren't just startups with cool logos. These are game-changing platforms solving very real problems that medical groups face every day. We'll look at Beginly Health, which is completely reimagining physician recruitment with a platform that functions more like a dating app than a traditional recruiter. Then we'll turn to Neon Health, an AI-driven solution that tackles one of the biggest bottlenecks in care delivery—prior authorizations. And finally, we'll look at Rivet Health, a powerful denial management tool that's helping revenue cycle teams stop leaving money on the table. We've worked with each of these companies, and they all have innovative leadership teams, and smart solutions for medical groups. Please Follow or Subscribe to get new episodes delivered to you as soon as they drop!
