So, I have been sick since December 26th, and while I am definitely feeling much better, I have managed to completely lose my voice. As you can imagine, that is not very conducive to being a podcaster! OPEC left in place the cut in production and China reopening - all a perfect storm. Will India pay higher for Russian oil because it's still cheap? Will China import Russian oil? Russia has refused to ship their crude to refineries which could lead to a supply side issue driving prices higher. And with CNBC in Europe covering this story - it's starting to get cold - that could lead to more cuts to Nordstream driving Nat Gas up. But Nat Gas is trending down because of warmer than usual weather. Even in the US, the rail strike was resolved, the weather is warm and overall the trend is towards cheaper nat gas. Do not mistake this as govt's manipulating the price for their advantage which should continue. Biden admin is allowing Chevron to refine Venezuelan oil most likely because at some point the emergency reserves need to be refilled. They have not done so yet but that too will take supply out of the system. $BOIL / $KOLD China easing covid - those stocks are soaring $BILI $BABA $XPEV $LI $NIO $PDD $BAIDU $JD $1k challenge on Webull later this week. We will trade that through the end of the year and then donate to charity. I have a charity in mind and will announce it later but think about if you would like to trade with me. When I started this podcast journey I was hoping to be able to publish 1 episode per month. Thankfully the support for the show has been such that I have been able to, and could continue to, publish an episode every Friday. But, I've realized that I need to step back from that and slow the show down.
