In this episode, we’re joined by my good friend, Rachel McMichael. Rachel is a business strategist and digital marketing expert who specializes in helping online coaches and course creators start, grow, and scale their businesses - without sacrificing family time, free time, or their sanity. Like many of us, she dived into entrepreneurship because she realized that the corporate life she was living (though it paid well) wasn’t aligned with the vision she had for her family. Also like many people who are new to working online, she tried a few other business ventures before she landed on the one that has become her true passion. In episode 108, you’ll learn: How your business (and life) can change when you embrace your God-given talents The BIG value in having small beginnings Why we all need to be good stewards in our business if we want to grow A 7-year-old’s perspective that will fill you with gratitude The difference between striving success and surrendered success Learn more about Rachel and her signature program, The Business with Impact Society Tune in to the Business with Impact Podcast for practical business strategy Connect with Rachel on Instagram As always, you can connect with me on Instagram and join the conversation on Facebook. I was reflecting on what I can offer my awesome busy mom clients and loyal listeners of the podcast, as the clock struck 3am the night before I recorded this episode. While our family was grieving the loss of a good man, who spent his days loving his family and preaching God's word, and our world is trying to figure out how to survive and thrive during a global pandemic that's taken lives and jobs, I felt emotional and exhausted. I know that we are all having those heavy moments, no matter how these uncertain times are affecting us. In my tearful and sleepy state I started going back over what I can do to help. For years I've managed my anxiety and stress with faith, supportive friends and family, and organization. Yes, pretty much anything I can organize, I do it! And I find comfort in that. Investing my time, energy, and money into getting organized has done a world of good for me and for my family. On this episode I share 3 ways to invest in organization. I offer lots of free, helpful resources like my Masterclass and Paige's Top 3's on my website, which suggests my top 3 products I use often for organizing your home, wardrobe, kids, and schedule with links for where to find them! You can also find free audios, videos, checklists, and pdfs that give you tips and keep you on track to complete your organization goals! I also recommend my affordable online courses I put together with you and your family in mind. These courses have modules, filled with easy-to-implement strategies that create great results in 3 simple steps! (Not to mention some killer transformation before and after photos!) Here are the highlights for this episode: {5:15} How investing in organization can help you {9:01} The Essential: invest your time {10:52} The Enhancement: invest in supplies {12:42} The Extra: invest in help Mentioned on this episode: Ep 1: The 3 E's Philosophy Ep 22: A Successful Yard Sale Rachel McMichael's Business With Impact Society Click these links to read more about what these courses offer and convenient payment plans that work best for you: Online Home Course Online Wardrobe Course Online Kids Course Online Schedule Course Mini Course I know your life is busy and possibly a little more sensitive these days. We certainly find ourselves in an interesting time of uncertainty - collectively as a country and world. None of us predicted this, and none of us have experienced anything like it, but we get to choose how we're going to react and respond as entrepreneurs to it all. While we can’t control what’s going on around us, we can control the thinking that’s going to create our future. As I’ve been thinking about what we need as entrepreneurs through this time and season, one anchoring thought kept coming to me: RISE Together. In today’s episode of the Epic Success Podcast, I’m sharing Part 1 of a series from the Rise Together Panel -Top Online Entrepreneurs Speak Out virtual event that I hosted last week. Nine incredible 7-figure entrepreneurs grounded in their faith shared what they are doing in their businesses, lives, and families to RISE above the current circumstances and thrive. This week on Part 1 of the series, you will hear from: Jennifer Allwood, Rachel McMichael, and myself. Each of us breaks down what’s working, what’s not, and how we are pivoting. We are in this together. We will RISE together. Grab your pen and paper - here’s Part 1! The biggest take-aways from today’s episode are: “In this moment, you and I get to step into the biggest and best versions of ourselves.” Dr Shannon Irvine You get to use this time to actively choose the thoughts that create the success that you want instead of the fear that is actually present in our hearts and minds right now. I really want to encourage you to lean in hard to the best version of you and use this time to become that. Listen in as I give actionable steps for you to take today to rise, pivot, and start. [10:08] “In terms of the entrepreneurs that I serve, I’m really encouraging them to pivot where they can.” Jennifer Allwood Jennifer Allwood shared very honestly and vulnerably how this pandemic has impacted her personally in her home. In business she has pivoted her live event and book tour to be virtual and create connections in a creative way. She encourages us all to shift and serve. [32:23] “This is an opportunity if we will take it as one.” Rachel McMichael Rachel McMichael is reassessing the pillars of her life: business, family, health, and faith through the lens of stewardship not scarcity. She gives so many practical, actionable steps you can take to audit your life and business then establish processes and systems to help you through this season of change. [38:34] Rise. Pivot. Start. I would love to know what your biggest takeaways were! Tag me on Instagram @DrShannonIrvine and let me know! Next week on Part 2 you will hear from Christina Jandali, Erin Sanderson, and Pat Flynn. You won’t want to miss it! Want more? Be sure to join me for the RISE Together Challenge: Learn How to Uplevel Your Mind and Stay Profitable in Your Business During this free challenge series, I will be walking you through the steps of my Mind Matrix process, giving you actionable steps and tools to uplevel your mental game so that you can thrive and stay profitable in your business, even in the uncertainty. Details coming soon! It’s time to RISE Together. We all have that nudge that says, “go this way.” But not everyone listens to it. Rachel McMichael was already running a multiple six figure business when she heard the call to pivot. Today she supports online entrepreneurs to grow their businesses through one core offer: an ongoing membership that fuses group coaching, video content and community. She cut her teeth in business, though, as a personal trainer, and also has success in direct marketing, online courses and Facebook Ads marketing. In this episode, Rachel calls the curtain on these pivots and the questions she's asked herself to validate an idea. She walks us step by step through the roll out for her membership, how she approaches launches and customer acquisition and how she settled on her pricing. There's one thing to grow a business, it's an entirely other thing altogether to have the right systems to support that growth. That's why Rachel breaks down exactly what the infrastructure looks behind the scenes and some of the things you should think about as your grow the number of people you serve. Setbacks are part and parcel of growing so we walk through how she approaches those moments where she falls short of her goals and how to use the feedback in those moments to drive your business forward. So many people, my past self included, want to skip the “mindset woo” and go straight to strategy. The problem with that is, looking to strategy means you’re focusing on things outside your control instead what you already have inside of you. Rachel McMichael interviewed me on her podcast, Business With Impact, and brought up so many great questions that allowed me to do what I love to do most: show the science behind the “woo.” The reality is, neuroscience backs up why our mindset, especially as high-achievers, is the foundation of success. I really embraced this opportunity to break down the step-by-step process of neuro-hacking and show the power of our entrepreneurial mind. So if you’re like me and love a great process, get ready to take notes then take action! The biggest take-aways from today’s episode are: “The first step is, we’ve got to remove the limiting beliefs and make them empowering truths.” As Rachel points out, our thoughts will take us captive if we don’t take them captive. This first step in my Mind Matrix is pivotal in the process of rewiring your brain for success. Listen in to learn the best time to uncover limiting beliefs and the steps to take to replace them. [8:48] “If we want to be the very best version of ourselves and really want our big dreams, it’s available to us, but we need to step into the daily practice of becoming the creator of our thoughts.” If we’re actively practicing the things we want most in our life, they come to us. What we focus on, grows. I share how to create a practice that is effective in transforming your thoughts, emotions, actions, and results. [12:02] “The reality is, if something is going to be hard or something is going to be easy, that starts with a thought.” Most of our limiting beliefs stem back to childhood. It is so pivotal to pull out that limiting belief, record it on paper, and refute it with the truth. When we see it in front of us, on paper, our adult brain more easily identifies the falsity in that lie and automatically refutes it with truth. I use an interesting technique with my students to help them through this process and share it with Rachel. [13:24] We are all too close to our own thoughts, so it is always great to have people in our lives that help us level-up in this area. I would love to be that person for you and help you step into the best version of yourself. Start by downloading the FREE Brain Priming Visualizations below! There is a way to do your business, and to do it in the time allotted. Shifting your focus, to get the best out of both your personal life and your business life. Rachel M learned the hard way that you don't have to work crazy hours to make money. The story of the turning point for Rachel M. Step one is making an intentional decision. Rachel M started with having a time-out from her phone. Rachel M breaks down the process that she shares with her clients. Start with identifying your goals and figuring out how much work you're willing to do to get there. Working out your profit goal and the time-frame for getting there. Step two is breaking everything down and simplifying things. Looking at revenue streams, and what it takes to generate revenue, doing what you do. Step three is automating. Remember though, that automating can look like many different things. Links: Rachel's website: www.rachelmcmichael.com Rachel's podcast: https://rachelmcmichael.com/podcast

Today’s guest on the podcast is Rachel McMichael, someone who is also a member of James Wedmore’s Inner Circle Mastermind with me and a former student of my Facebook Ads Manager Program. In this episode, Rachel really opens up about the evolution of her business, and I can say that I haven’t seen her happier than she is right now. Not to mention, her and I have something in common as she just found out she’s pregnant, this time with her second child! You’re going to hear how she started her first online business in the fitness space 6 years ago when she was pregnant with her first daughter. Back then Rachel knew she wanted to create something fast online, and she was so successful running her own Facebook ads for her boot camp that other fitness trainers started approaching her for help growing their businesses. Rachel now has an online web design and Facebook ads agency serving coaches and online course creators that has really taken off. In fact, Rachel is fully booked and has a waiting list of at least 6 months at the moment, but getting to this point wasn’t without some struggles, which she talks about today. Rachel really had the tech and ads part down, but she joined my course looking for tips and strategies for growing the business side of things while getting overwhelmed in the process. Rachel’s been able to build an amazing business working with the right clients, and she now just works with clients launching.
