I enjoy blending strategic thinking with creative problem-solving to drive meaningful change. My focus has always been on building connections and finding ways to enhance our communities.I kicked off my career in finance, where I found success as a top salesperson. That experience sharpened my analytical skills and taught me how to understand complex needs, which I now apply to my work in non-profit fundraising. What motivates me is the chance to contribute to causes that resonate with me. I thrive on collaboration, brainstorming new approaches, and discovering innovative strategies to advance our mission. Whether it's through partnerships, campaigns, or improving processes, my aim is to make a real impact. On a personal note, I grew up in Colorado, am a military brat, and the youngest of six siblings. I speak Spanish and love to travel! I'm a devoted wife who loves spending time with my husband. We enjoy serving our church, exploring new places, birdwatching, and practicing my compound bow in our league. And there's nothing better than a road trip through the Midwest with classic country tunes playing in the background. These experiences enrich my perspective and fuel my passion for giving back.I'm excited to connect with anyone who shares a passion for making a difference or wants to chat about innovative ways to engage in philanthropy and community work.https://boulderbridgehouse.org/https://www.linkedin.com/in/heather-lagge*************************************************************Judy is the CEO & Founder of the Judy Carlson Financial Group. Rethinking Value: Beyond Financial Metrics

Catherine Manning joins us for a paradigm-shifting conversation about how we define, measure, and create value in our world. As Head of Impact Practice at Impact Reporting and Programme Director of Measure Up, Catherine brings a wealth of expertise in translating abstract impact concepts into practical frameworks that organisations can actually implement. The episode challenges our society's overreliance on financial metrics as the primary decision-making tool. Catherine eloquently argues that while financial accounting isn't inherently flawed, it fails to capture the full spectrum of value – our relationships, health, connection to nature, and overall wellbeing. "The judgment of how well you're doing comes down to the financial assessment," she notes, "and it misses out so much of what the purpose and value actually are."We explore how social value measurement is evolving beyond mere compliance with procurement requirements. Catherine shares her vision where organisations move from "ticking boxes" to embedding social value in their DNA – transforming it from a short bus journey to a meaningful ongoing commitment. This shift requires both structural changes in how we account for value and cultural changes in how we perceive success. The conversation illuminates the ground breaking work of Measure Up, which demystifies social value measurement by providing accessible, transparent tools for practitioners. Their innovative approach offers graded measurement levels (bronze, silver, gold) that acknowledge different organizational capacities while encouraging progress. "Part of the point of publishing this is to take the mystique away," Catherine explains, "It's your value, not the expert's."Whether you're a seasoned impact professional or just beginning to explore how your work creates change, this episode offers both philosophical insights and practical approaches to measuring what truly matters. By reimagining our systems of value, we open possibilities for a more equitable, sustainable future where economic activities serve human and environmental wellbeing rather than the reverse.Subscribe now to continue exploring how we can collectively make an impact that transcends financial bottom lines and creates meaningful, lasting change in our communities.Hi, I'm Heidi Fisher, the host of the Make an Impact Podcast. For over thirty years, Amy Mays has worked alongside teens, helping them navigate life's challenges. As a youth director and counselor, she learned something crucial: teens need more than programs. They need places where they feel they truly belong, where getting support doesn't feel like a big deal. That's why she started Happy Crew in 2007. It began with weekly meetings where teens could be themselves, find their voice, and know they matter. What started with just a few students grew steadily. In the 2024-2025 school year, Happy Crew will host a total of 23 weekly meetings that bring together an average of 75 students each time. Already, 183 different teens have found community through Happy Crew this year alone—and we're on track to connect with over 200 students before summer. But we need to do more.https://thehappycrew.org/https://www.happycrewcoffeehouse.com/*************************************************************Judy is the CEO & Founder of the Judy Carlson Financial Group. Aaron is a 14-year veteran of both the US Navy, where he was a cook and chef to admirals and dignitaries while he sailed in the Mediterranean, and the US Army, where he was an Explosive Ordinance Demolition tech finding, and diffusing or disposing of enemy bombs before they could harm US or Allied service members. While deployed in Afghanistan in December of 2011, an explosion of an undetected secondary bomb took Aaron's eyesight, and later his hearing, and plunged his world into darkness, changing his life forever.  Lying in a hospital bed, Aaron only thought of “I can't”,  until someone came into his room and asked him if he wanted to go for a bike ride! Aaron started asking “how is this happening FOR me?” and “HOW can I?” instead of asking “WHY is this happening TO me?”, as he recognized that the biggest limitations we have are the limitations we put on ourselves in our minds.    Aaron has since run ultra-marathons, skydived, climbed mountains, got married, had 4 kids, including twins, become an entrepreneur, started businesses and invested in real estate.  He's also a speaker and a top-rated podcast host of the “Point of Impact Podcast”.  It was an honor to have Aaron spend time sharing how he is now striving to inspire others to make the positive habit shifts that help them realize the success that is within their reach and closer than they imagine. Tune in and enjoy!  ==========================================================================Connect with Aaron here: Website: https://eodfudge.com/Podcast: Point of Impact with Aaron Halehttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/point-of-impact-with-aaron-hale/id1681213789Website: https://pointofimpactpod.com/YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/@pointofimpactpodcast@pointofimpactpodcast Thanks for listening! In another episode of The School of Impact Podcast, Jason Meland welcomes Dr. Ray Gorman, an expert in offers, sales, and helping physical therapists build profitable businesses beyond in-person sessions. Dr. Ray shares his journey from traditional PT to launching a cash-based model, highlighting key challenges and the pivotal shift to a hybrid approach blending in-person and virtual services. They discuss common mistakes in adding online components, the importance of positioning and messaging, and why systemization and sales training are crucial for success. Dr. Ray also breaks down effective sales techniques, client engagement strategies, and the mindset shifts needed to thrive in the industry. Tune in for valuable insights and actionable steps to create a sustainable, high-impact PT business!   “What we actually do in our model is we provide a system of clinical evaluation where it's like, okay, we're going to break down range of motion, we're going to break down strength balance, we're going to break down technique, we're going to audit their lifestyle, audit their training history. And once I really know and understand that system, it doesn't matter if I'm working with a Crossfitter, a powerlifter, an Olympic weightlifter, a field athlete, a pickleball athlete, I can run any sort of active person, any sort of person, really, through my system and come out with that same answer of what we're gonna do, how we're gonna manage it, it's just such second nature, because I really understand what that, that whole experience is going to look like.” - Dr. Ray Gorman   Let's talk about:   Hybrid Business Model for Sustainability – Blending in-person and virtual services creates a more stable and scalable PT business. Effective Positioning and Messaging – The way a virtual offer is framed (e.g., “prescriptive exercise program” vs. “remote programming”) significantly impacts client interest and conversions. The Power of Systemization – A well-structured in-person business sets the foundation for a successful transition to online services. Sales Training is Crucial – Developing confidence in sales, asking the right questions, and structuring conversations effectively can make a huge difference in client engagement. Embracing Risk Leads to Growth – Overcoming fear of failure and pushing through challenges is essential for building a thriving PT business.   Connect with Dr. Ray Gorman: Instagram: @raygormandpt Youtube: RayGormanDPT Website: www.engagemovement.com Connect with me: Email: jason@goliveonlinemastermind.com Website: https://www.growmyvisibility.com/ Instagram: @coachjasonmeland Facebook: Jason Meland - In Demand Coach LinkedIn: Jason Meland

Welcome to another episode of the School of Impact Podcast! Jason Meland dives into the challenges of plateaus, stress, and burnout in business, introducing guest Chris Bolger, a business hypnotherapist. Chris shares insights on how unconscious blocks can impact performance and how his methods help resolve these issues quickly. Drawing from his experience with major companies like Nestle and Volvo, Chris highlights his "high-performance mechanic" approach to business. Jason recounts his own journey of overcoming stress and burnout through Chris's techniques, including the perception process and aligning tasks with processing styles. Chris emphasizes the importance of consistent practices, such as daily tapping, to rewire stress responses and improve decision-making. The episode wraps up with practical advice and a free audio resource for listeners, reinforcing the value of addressing unconscious biases for long-term success.   “My nervous system and my mind are primed for there are times we've experienced we've all experienced this before. We were burnt out, working extra hard, stressed out trying to pay bills, and it gets to us, and we can't sleep over bills. Then you reinterpret reality, and you regulate your nervous system, and then you're like, you know what, whether I have a lot of money or not, it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter because I can generate more of it, and I know how to generate more of it, and I know how to make good decisions. Therefore, this bad situation is not going to last more than a couple weeks or a couple months, but I'm gonna find a way out of it, and it's gonna be fun, and I'm thriving, whether I have a large bank account or a small bank account”- Chris Bolger   In this episode we'll dive into: Unconscious Blocks in Business: Unconscious barriers can manifest in various aspects of life, impacting business performance, stress levels, and decision-making. Addressing these blocks can lead to significant improvements in productivity and profitability. Chris Bolger's Approach:His techniques incorporate hypnotic principles and focus on aligning business tasks with individual processing styles. Impact of Stress on Performance:Regulating the nervous system and addressing unconscious stressors are essential for sustainable growth. Perception Process:This system helps individuals understand how they unconsciously process the world, enabling them to align their tasks with their natural styles. Consistent Practices for Long-Term Success: Practices like tapping on the body daily for 3–5 minutes can create permanent changes in the stress response within six weeks. The Value of External Support:Having an outside perspective is crucial for identifying and addressing unconscious issues that may hinder growth. Reinterpreting Reality:Distinguishing between impulsive and real thoughts is essential for effective decision-making. The Importance of Self-Awareness: Understanding unconscious biases and stress levels is a foundational step toward achieving consistent growth and success in business. Hello, my name is Tevia Reading, and I am the fourth oldest of 6 siblings. Fun fact, all our names begin with ‘T” – Tony, Tania, Tatum, Tabitha, Talia, Tevia, TJ and Tag.When I was eleven, I faced the unexpected loss of my father. This tragedy shook my world forcing me to adapt quickly to new realities. Losing a parent at a young age left a void that could never be filled, yet it forced me to develop emotional strength and a sense of responsibility. My inspirations come from my dad. As far back as I can remember, my dad put the needs of others before his own and served with love and genuine concern. I confidently and proudly can say I inherited his heart for service and deeply desire to continue his legacy.Throughout high school, I have dedicated myself to supporting and inspiring others. As a student leadership representative and now Student Body President, I work to create a sense of belonging and advocate for those who feel unheard. I volunteer as a teacher's aide, mentor classmates, and organize student activities. I participate in community service and church outreach opportunities. I am enrolled in a Cosmetology program and will graduate as a licensed cosmetologist. I also play field hockey and tennis. My most transformative experience came during a mission trip to Africa. Mozambique was an awakening for me. I spent my days interacting with 78 orphaned children, watching their eyes light up at what most would take for granted. Their hunger for knowledge ignited a fire in me to do more. My time in Africa deepened my understanding of what it means to be a servant leader and instilled in me the importance of education as a tool for empowerment. It became clear I want to dedicate my life to teaching and serving disadvantaged communities at home and abroad. As a future educator, I am excited to devote my life to making a difference through teaching and empowering others to dream beyond their circumstances while honoring my father's legacy of service and compassion. Thank you.*************************************************************Judy is the CEO & Founder of the Judy Carlson Financial Group.
