In episode 8, we conclude our interview with Ray Wright. Ray tells us about moving to Utah and continuing to improve his woodworking skills by learning from a blind woodshop teacher. He also talks about developing a passion for the lathe and starting his own woodworking business. Additionally, he talks about how an opportunity to substitute teach woodshop at his local Center for the Blind turned into a fantastic job. At the age of 22, while managing a local movie theater, Ray was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP). This is Ray's story of how he adapted to blindness, discovered new dreams, and is living a happy life. Ray Wright teaches wood working and was once a student learning about wood working as an elective class. Ray had no idea that one day he would be teaching others the art of wood working.
