Actress Radha Mitchell has made her mark in both Australia and Hollywood where her talent has seen her move from art house and indie films to Hollywood blockbusters alongside Vin Diesel, Denzel Washington and Nicolas Cage. In this episode, Jess and Radha discuss the delicate balance between privacy and public life and why its important to Radha to maintain boundaries around her personal life. They also delve deep into how she navigated ‘machismo culture' in Hollywood, the spiritual aspects of performance, and the impact of age and self-acceptance in the entertainment industry. Hi Guys, welcome back to TV Reload. Thank you for clicking or downloading on today's episode with Jesse Spencer and Radha Mitchell two very iconic Australian actors who are currently featured in the Disney Plus series The Last Days of the Space Age…. Jessie is actually an old friend I had lost touch with so I don't think he knew I was going to be chatting with him today…. Kind of nice that he remembered me and didn't think oh god this guy! This new series is set in Australia 1979, where a power strike threatens to plunge a Western Australian town into darkness, while the city hosts the Miss Universe pageant and the US space station, Skylab, crashes just beyond the city's suburbs. It is a tapestry of characters and I hope you go and check it out. I will ask about Jesse and Rahda's relationship with Disney growing up? You will hear about their upbringing and if their parents ever encouraged them to go to space Rahda will talk about how far we have come in terms of equality between men and women in Australia. Plus you will even find out about their accents and if their time spent overseas, particularly in the US for Jessie made it hard in any way to sound Australian again. There is so much to unpack with these guys it is short and sweet but there still are some fantastic secrets along the way. So sit back and relax as we unpack The last Days of the Space Age.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

About a year ago, Bridget Fonda was a real dream lady to me. One of the most beautiful women I'd ever seen. I've felt that way since seeing Jackie Brown as a kid. Unfortunately, I keep watching awful movies with her in them and the magic is crumbling away. Bridget Fonda, Elias Koteas, Jessica Tandy, Hume Cronyn, Maury Chaykin, Graham Greene and Don Mckellar are in this. You might ask how one could possibly go wrong with a cast like that. How could this film be anything but magical? Well, unless you're a Grandma in the mid 90s, you're probably gonna be befuddled. Tune in and find out the specifics. If you're enjoying this run, don't forget we have so very many episodes on Billy Crudup, John Cazale, Robert Longstreet, Radha Mitchell, Brandon Lee, Brad Pitt, Wesley Snipes, horror movies and now? Do you know who Glenn Gould is? I did not. Nor did Jules. You wanna know more? Well, it's time to listen to us talk about... 32 Short Films About Glenn Gould. This came out in '93 and it's quite the mix of narrative, music and interviews, all attempting to give you a feel for the late, legendary composer. Is it successful? Is it entertaining? Is Colm Feore handsome and amazing? Did Don McKellar co-wrote this? We certainly answer those questions and also do you have any ludes? Most of us know Medicare as health insurance for Americans who are 65 or older, but when they qualify for Social Security disability benefits, people younger than 65 automatically qualify for Medicare. Today, between 25 and 30% of the people living with MS are Medicare beneficiaries. Whether you already have Medicare or you'll be signing up for Medicare in the future, getting the right coverage requires making some important choices. Licensed Medicare Advisor Laquel Thomas joins me with tips, strategies, and explanations for successfully navigating Medicare and getting the coverage you need. We're explaining the good news in the results from a Phase 3 clinical trial for Tolebrutinib, Sanofi's experimental oral BTK inhibitor. The trial showed that, compared to placebo, Tolebrutinib met the primary endpoint, delaying the onset of confirmed disability progression in people with non-relapsing secondary progressive MS. Take My Hand is an Australian film based on the true story of Claire Jensz, a mother of three living in London who is diagnosed with MS at the peak of her high-powered career. Be sure to catch my conversation with Claire, Radha Mitchell, the film's star, and John Raftopoulos, the film's director. We're sharing the details of a study that may have uncovered an underlying cause of MS and, perhaps, all autoimmune diseases. We'll tell you about the results of a stem cell study that show MS may involve more than just immune cells. And we'll give you what may be surprising details of a study that focused on how MS impacts the quality of life of fully ambulatory people living with mild MS symptoms. We have a lot to talk about! Are you ready for RealTalk MS??! This Week: Making the right Medicare choices :22 There's good news about the results of the Phase 3 clinical trial for Tolebrutinib 1:41 My conversation with the director, star, and woman whose story about living with MS is the real-life basis for the new film, Take My Hand 4:28 Have researchers at Yale discovered an underlying cause of MS? 14:11 Newly published results of a stem cell study show that MS may also be driven by brain cells 17:19 Study results show how MS impacts the quality of life among fully ambulatory people with mild MS symptoms 19:15 Licensed Medicare Advisor, Laquel Thomas, explains all the variables you want to consider in making choices about your Medicare coverage 22:12 Share this episode 33:40 Have you downloaded the free RealTalk MS app? 34:01 SHARE THIS EPISODE OF REALTALK MS Just copy this link & paste it into your text or email: https://realtalkms.com/366 ADD YOUR VOICE TO THE CONVERSATION I've always thought about the RealTalk MS podcast as a conversation. Telly Savalas. Keith Gordon. Greece. Strife. Big dogging. Is this movie fantastic? Is it whatever? Are the two leads weirdly fantastic? Is this video the only place you're going to find any footage of this movie? I am the man now, dawg? Tune in! We covered absolutely every Keith Gordon thing we could find. We dug deep. I emailed people, I tried to find torrents in weird places, I checked archives. I almost bought a betamax copy of "My Palikari", but then I'd have had to buy a Betamax player (I probably would have been $400 in on one movie if I'd done that). But? I spend way too much money on a VHS of it. It took me forever to find it, but here we are. This is probably the last Keith Gordon project we get to cover. And we specifically did it on video cause we have a lot of respect for ol' Keith and wanted to send him out nice. Catch up on all the other Keith episodes right here and then dive into Billy Crudup, Radha Mitchell, Robert Longstreet, Brandon Lee, Ray Liotta, John Cazale and spookies! I've got jungle fever, Jules got jungle fever, we've got a new Snipes, it's JUNGLE FEVER Snipes has a wife and a young daughter. But? He's got a new secretary. And it's Annabella Sciorra. So what's a guy to do??? The correct answer is nothing, but I'm ugly so I don't really know about temptation like that. But the actual interesting parts of the story are John Turturro and his racist acquaintances (just kidding, everybody is racist in this) and ol Sammy Jack's himself as Gator, a crackhead who even has a song and dance about being a crackhead. How will things go for everyone? Great probably, right? Will Halle Berry put some parts in her mouth for a small sum? Will Sciorra's dad beat the f*ck of of her for dating a ______? Will Snipes have to cover his mouth and nose while searching through a trap house cause Holy sh*t there's lot of cocaine smoke in the air? And what's gonna happen to dear Gator? Spike Lee? Rules. Catch up on the rest of the Snipes filmography, and then treat yourself to episodes covering so many movies from Billy Crudup, Radha Mitchell, Keith Gordon, Ray Liotta, Robert Longstreet, John Cazale, Brad Pitt and Brandon Lee. Also? Spookies. That's right, there's even Halloween episodes.

The Back To The Blockbuster team begins our road to retribution by looking back at Man on Fire for its 20th anniversary. Directed by Tony Scott from a screenplay by Brian Helgeland, and based on the 1980 novel of the same name by A.J. Quinnell, the film follows John Creasy (Denzel Washington), a despondent, alcoholic former CIA SAD/SOG officer (and U.S. Marine Corps Force Reconnaissance captain) turned bodyguard, who goes on a revenge rampage after his charge, nine-year-old Lupita “Pita” Ramos (Dakota Fanning), is abducted in Mexico City. The film also stars Christopher Walken, Radha Mitchell, Giancarlo Giannini, Marc Anthony, Rachel Ticotin, and Mickey Rourke.
OnTime Capsule Episode 401, Sonequa Martin Green, as she revisits her evolution as the resilient Captain Burnham in "Star Trek: Discovery," facing the emotional challenges of playing an older version of her character due to a narrative twist involving a "time bug." Doug Jones adds dimension with his reflections on playing Saru and the complexities of portraying familial relationships amidst the backdrop of rebuilding the Federation. I then pay tribute to Herbert Wright, fondly remembered as the father of the Ferengi, reminiscing about the visionary Gene Roddenberry's influence on "Star Trek: The Next Generation." Our conversation then shifts as we engage with Radha Mitchell, discussing her role in the film "Sacrifice," and exploring how her character's journey through mystery and emotional rawness drew her into the project. Richard Harmon brings us tales from "The 100" Season 4, delving into Murphy's uncertain path and the character dynamics that keep the narrative unpredictable and his own survival surprising yet believable. Lastly, "The Walking Dead" stalwarts Greg Nicotero, Gale Anne Hurd, and Angela Kang gather to discuss the series' lasting impact, its exploration of hope amid apocalypse. On the 28th day of Pitts-mas, Mr. Flemmer took over my body with 20 of his closest geriatric homes. Me, I.... Being John Malkovich Once upon a time, Jules and I both saw this as teenagers. One of had our minds blown and one of us wasn't that into it. What's our stance now? What's yours? John Cusack is a disgusting sack of crap who wants to be a famous puppeteer, but his material sucks and he only performs on street corners and apparently gets punched out often. He has a great wife! He tries to cheat on her with someone who is aware that he's a disgusting sack of crap, but he discovers a portal into John Malkovichs brain and everything goes topsy-turvy. Tune in! On the 26th day of Pitts-mas, the Austrians gave to meeeeee: Seven Years in Tibet. What if there was a movie about an Austrian guy that was a big ol jerk, but he likes mountains? What if he became friends with the Dalai lama? What if he was actually a nazi and the movie went ahead and lied about that part? Heinrich runs away from his pregnant wife and tries to climb a mountain. When he comes down he gets arrested and then after escaping jail, he wanders for years and eventually ends up in Tibet. David Thewlis is in it. Shoutout to the person on r/minneapolis who seemed excited to listen to it. On a scale of dumb to awesome, how much do you like getting a Pitt day? Oh, cool, will you rate, review, subscribe, call, email and get on that back catalog where we go through Billy Crudup, Ray Liotta, Keith Gordon, Robert Longstreet and Radha Mitchell? On the 25th day of Pitts-mas, Bradley gave to me "Aye", by the bucket load, in? The Devil's Own. IRA GUY. Police guy. Housemates. Lovers? Mayyyyyybe. Brad is a killer and is hiding out at an unsuspecting Harrison Ford's house while he procures rockets from Treat Williams to battle the government back in Ireland. Is this riveting? Is this the lost blockbuster you didn't know ruled? Brad Pitt really wanted to makes this and then Harrison Ford ruined it. Probably. On the 23rd day of Pitts-mas, Christopher Plummer gave birth to the army of the... 12 Monkeys Bruce Willis. Madeline Stowe. Jon Seda. David Morse. Frank Gorshin. And? BRAD PITT. DUH. COME ON! YOU KNOW WHAT WE'RE DOING HERE! Does this movie hold up? Does Willis come swinging? Do you buy ol Pittie as mentally unstable? Do you continue to kinda be in love with Madeline Stowe? Would you switchblade your teeth out to stay with her? You know what, those are some good questions. Why don't you take off those boots and stay a while, listen to us discuss 12 Monkeys. On the 22nd day of Pitts-mas I cut my fingerprints off cause I wanna be like Kevin Spacey. He's a good role model, right?!?!?!?!?! Se7en. I love this movie. I saw it when I was 13. Turned from "I Love movies" to constantly chasing the high of seeing such an amazing thriller so young. Does it hold up? Is it maybe stupid now? Is the acting actually not good? No. It's amazing. Listen to us do Morgan Freeman impressions and talk about handjobs. Does that sell this episode? On the 21st day of Pitts-mas, long hair don't care: Legends of the Fall. Jk, that long hair cares so much. Three bros. Dad is Anthony Hopkins. They live in da woods. When they grown, the baby of the squad brings a girl back home and everyone is immediately like "omfg I love her, I need her". Then baby brah says we gotta join WW1! I'M GOING TO CANADA TO ENLIST! and his bros are like yeah, we are coming too. Somehow we will all be together. Lots of other stuff happens. It's dumb. It's great. Brad Pitt. Bears. On the 20th day of Pitts-mas, Lestat came to me in the night and gave me the choice he never had. Would I like to watch: Interview With the Vampire. Brad Pitt is real sad cause wife and kids dead. He wants dead too. But? Tom Cruise gives him a lil kiss and he decided instead of dead, he will live forever. I loved this movie when I saw it in the theater. Somehow the wild homoerotica escaped my sharp 12 year old brain. Boy oh boy, someone let these vampires bone each other down, the longing looks are exhausting. On the 19th day of Pitts-mas, a red dress gave to me: The Favor. Apparently this sat on a shelf for a while. Why? Bankruptcy. Should have been for it being a mystifying pile of garbage. This lady has been having horny dreams about her high school boyfriend who she never done humped. She talks her friend into going to hump him. Brad Pitt and Bill Pullman are in it, as is.... LARRY MILLER! Is it funny? Sexy? Exciting? Interesting? You tell me... go ahead. Watch it. I DOUBLE DOG DARE YOU! On the 18th day of Pitts-mas, Jules and me gleamed the cube. True Romance Lunatic gets girlfriend. Kills her pimp. Accidentally steals cocaine. Goes to Hollywood to sell it while scary mobsters track him down. Quentin Tarantino wrote this Tony Scott directed it. Everyone swings for the fences in this and every dang performance is a homerun. I didn't realize Christian Slater could act until this movie. Also Brad Pitt is wildly hysterical. On the 17th day of Pitts-mas, Juliette Lewis, once again, gave me a gift: Kalifornia Ok so we got scumbag Pitt killing people for reasons (not good ones), his captive childbride Juliette Lewis, dipsh*t David Duchovney as a writer trying to cobble together a book on serial killers and holy fu*king sh*t Michelle Forbes looking straight out of hottest person I've ever seen magazine (she is also a photographer who does a lot of explicit pics). On the 16th day of Pitts-mas, peepaw gave to me A River Runs Through It Hey, look, it's charming, young Pitt in a real role that shows you the superstar he'll become. He likes fishing. He's so good at fishing, his older brother says he's an artist. At fishing. It's a movie about fishing. And family. And Robert Redford directed and narrates it. Is this thing good? Is it boring, but also satisfying? What are your thoughts on Craig Sheffer? You member that guy? Jason does, cause he's a Nightbreed boy. Also, Tom Skerrit. On the fifteenth day of Pitts-mas, the garbage man gave this trash to me: Cool World. I remember ads for this in comics when I was little. I rented it way too young. I only really remember it being boring. Is it still boring? Yes. And horny. So, so horny. Kim Basinger is a horny doodle who just wants Gabriel Byrne to bust in her guts so she can come to the real world and... apparently turn it into a cartoon world, which she was trying to escape cause it sucks. Brad Pitt plays a human in toonland who has to go get her in the real world, a place he hates after his momma died. On a scale of dumb to awesome, how much do you like getting a Pitt day? On the fourteenth day of Pitts-mas, my barber gave to me: JOHNNY SUEDE Tom Dicillo's first movie! Brad Pitt's the lead! His hair is GIANT. He's a dumb jerk who has a very high opinion of himself and his bad music. He lives in a wildly gross apartment, but I guess it's so cheap you don't even need a job. Then? He's nearly killed by a hat box with magic Suede shoes that aren't actually magic, but he loves em. Is this movie amazingly boring? Is there something wrong with Catherine Keener's mouth? Does Nick Cave look like some sort of childhood monster in this? FIND OUT! In another very special Pitts-mas episode of We Doing Filmographies. On the 13th day of Pitts-mas, two super rad women gave to me: THELMA AND LOUISE Two cool ladies go on a fishing trip. They do not make it to the lake. One of them keeps making really bad decisions, despite the other one being like "don't do that." And then Brad Pitt shows up. You think his character smells just awful? He's gotta be next level stinky, out there in the sun, hitching days at a time. You probably smell that butt 50 feet away. On the 12th day of Pitts-mas, Ricky Schroeder ruined my life with a pair of nunchucks (nunchucked my butthole in a fight and it fell out). Across the Tracks! Brad Pitt runs real good. Ricky Schroeder just gets out of Julie. They are brothers. Ricky likes to party, bro. And he's got a cool buddy in a leather jacket he gets trashed with. But? He starts running with his bro. Is everything going to be OK? Or will one of them die racing a train, when they go ACROSS THE TRACKS! Did you know Brad Pitt was in a thrash/boy band called 2young2die? Jk, on the 11th day of Pitts-mas, Juliette Lewis gave to me: Too Young To Die? This poor kid. She's 14. She suffers through constant trigger warnings (should we do trigger warnings for this? This one's bad for that type of thing) and has a good time for like a week and then things get bad again. However, her and Pitt act their lil butts off in this one. Also, they dated and she was 16 and he was 26. For years. But hey, is 14 too young to die? (Probably) Rate, review, subscribe, call, email and get on that back catalog where we go through Billy Crudup, Ray Liotta, Keith Gordon, Robert Longstreet, John Cazale and Radha Mitchell. On the ninth day of Pitts-mas, a small child with spider legs gave to me, HAPPY TOGETHER Patrick Dempsey, before his McDreamy days, when he was a dork heartthrob of the the 80s, made this early 90s rom-com with Billie Jean herself, Helen Slater. He's a baby boy writer who's gone off to college. She's a free spirit actor who lied on her roommate sheet and now they live together. Will shenanigans occur? Will they fall in love? Did Jason cry while watching this movie on TV back when he was 12? Did Jules punch a hole in his laptop and start puking into it because this is such a dreadful film? Who knows? But? Brad Pitt is in this. Rate, review, subscribe, call, email and get on that back catalog where we go through Billy Crudup, Ray Liotta, Keith Gordon, Robert Longstreet and Radha Mitchell. On the eighth day of Pitts-mas, a killer gave to me, a slasher movie. Cutting Class. I've seen this one before! I completely misremembered who the killer was. Donovan Leitch gets out of the mental institution for killing his dad and returns to school. Someone is killing off people at that school. Brad Pitt plays the kinda monstrous boyfriend of a girl everyone sexually harasses. What on earth is happening? Who did this? Why is Leitch's hair sooooooo horrible? Is this a comedy? A satire? Maybe find out some of those things on this episode of We Doing Filmographies, Brad Pitt-style! On the seventh day of Pitts-mas, a man came from the darkness, dressed in leather, and gave to me "The Dark Side of the Sun". Brad Pitt is a leather daddy. With a leather mask. And the mouth hole is leather and isnt actually a hole. Anyways, he's got this skin disorder where light will kill him (yes, even candlelight is lethal, no he's not a vampire). He's in the Czech Republic. He meets a lady who is into the leather and not scared like you would be. Is this romantic? Cute? Did it sit on shelves for years due to war? Does Pitt actually look wicked handsome in this? Will you find it online and be like oh cool I can watch it but it's actually a documentary and so you search out "dark side of the sun + full movie" and become very thankful for Daily Motion or youtube once again? On the sixth day of Pitts-mas, the Amish gave to me. Non-violence. Time for "A Stoning in Fulham County". A real Pitt role. He says words. He has a name. He helps stone a baby to death cause I guess people like to throw rocks at the Amish. Ron Perlman plays the dad of the baby. Everyone in town is garbage. Ken Olin is trying to bring justice as the d.a. Is this movie wildly boring? Maybe you should fire up Netflix and find out. Or just listen to this episode. On the fifth day of Pitts-mas, my new TV gave to me: So. Much. TV. Another World. Dallas. Growing Pains (2!). Head of the Class. Freddy's Nightmares. 21 Jump Street. Thirtysomething. Tales From the Crypt. Contact. You seen these? Rate, review, subscribe, call, email and get on that back catalog where we go through Billy Crudup, Ray Liotta, Keith Gordon, Robert Longstreet and Radha Mitchell.
On the fourth day of Pitts-mas, Rip gave to me: Less Than Zero! Andrew McCarthy comes home from college for the holidays and in the three months he's been gone, everyone's strung out on cocaine and Robert Downey Jr. has to blow dudes to pay back James Spader. Can you find Brad? Jules couldn't. Jason did. And then Jason also apparently imagined him in another scene he wasn't in. Have you been dancing at the Pitt party for the last 4 days? V cool, now rate, review, subscribe, call, email and get on that back catalog where we go through Billy Crudup, Ray Liotta, Keith Gordon, Robert Longstreet and Radha Mitchell.
On the third day of Pitts-mas, a car thief gave to me: NO. MAN'S. LAND. It's the fast and the furious. It's the point break. Just kidding, it's the car thieves! Dick Wolf (dung-dung!) wrote this thing and it's got D.B. Sweeney as a young cop going undercover to bust Charlie Sheen's Porsche thieving operation. It's got ol Randy Quaid before he was a funny character and before he lost his mind. Also? Brad Pitt. He's a waiter with bad hair. No lines. Are you full of Pitt juice after all this? On the second day of Pitts-mas, a donkey gave to me: a really good spy movie with Kevin Costner? Costner's navy guy has the hots for Sean Young! Which of course, but also her hair and outfits are crazy hideous, but hey those were the times I guess. But it's not a romance, nope, Gene Hackman already has dibs on that firecracker and things go buckwild pretty fast. Also, Brad Pitt is behind them and out of focus in a scene. Is this Rollercoaster out of control yet? Are you rocking a Brad boner? Dope, now rate, review, subscribe, call, email and get on that back catalog where we go through Billy Crudup, Ray Liotta, Keith Gordon, Robert Longstreet and Radha Mitchell.
On the first day of Pitts-mas, my true love gave to me: the story of a dork who became a hunk. Dorky Bradley Brinkman gets no respect. His boss thinks he sucks. Then he sells his soul to the devil and starts crushing puss left and right. Also, Brad Pitt is behind a guy in one scene. Here it is, the 6th and final John Cazale episode. We're covering "The Deer Hunter" and our dude is sick during the filming and died the year it came out. How is the movie? Well, one of the taglines is it's the most important movie ever made. Cazale is super funny at times. Walken is young, handsome and not creepy/weird at all. What about Bobby d? Tune in. The fifth John Cazale episode is here! It's about dogs! A day of dogs! Actually just the afternoon. Would you pet them? Cazale is scary in this. Chris Sarandon is fantastic?! I interviewed Director Robert Connolly, Actress Radha Mitchell, Actress Ilsa Fogg about their Australian film Blueback at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on Sep 16, 2022. I interviewed talent at TIFF, which was Sep 9-19, 2022. Most interviews were very short chats on red carpets. But some red carpet chats were a bit longer, and some interviews were longer chats in hotel rooms or restaurants. I'll post some of the longer ones as podcasts, and you can view all the interviews at my YouTube. • FOLLOW ME: Subscribe to my Substack newsletter. Follow me on Instagram.
