In de afgelopen 24 uur werden we drie keer opgeschrikt door een overlijdensbericht: dat van Earth & Fire-zangeres Jerney Kaagman, acteur Peter Faber en rapper Tony Scott. Tubantia-hoofdredacteur Daan Bonenkamp kende Kaagman eigenlijk vooral van haar werk als jurylid bij Idols en waardeerde de necrologieën die over haar waren geschreven. "Voor mensen die maar één blik op iemand hebben, vind ik het goed dat we kunnen zien wie zij in de volle breedte was. Dat vind ik ook de kracht van media op zo'n moment." Theatermaker Tom de Ket herinnert zich acteur Peter Faber als een "ongelooflijk innemende man". "Hij had een ontzettende levenslust en was een ongelooflijk goede improvisator." De drie 'iconen' zijn voor Marc Veeningen, hoofdredacteur bij Talpa, niet te vergelijken. "Hoe je op de overlijdens reageert, is voor iedereen anders.
