Jesus said out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks and that your heart will be planted next to your treasure. * Today, we will see how important the Leader of a Land is on the morality of the land. But, because of the type of governance that we have in this land, we get to choose our leaders - and we then tend to choose leaders who again reflect what is in our hearts! * As we consider Solomon's expression of the Impact of the Reigning King we will then consider the applicational importance of our ability to choose a leader in different realms of our lives. * Each day, we make a choice as to who we want to be our "Leader" - and there are MANY options! That "Leader" will be the primary influencer, instructor, and master of our lives - whether we care to admit it or not. Therefore, like Joshua we need to make a cognitive decision regarding who we, and our household, will serve. Easter 2026: All Things New

We will look at the two pictures of the Messiah found in the Hebrew Scriptures (Old Testament).   2 Pictures of Messiah Reigning King Humble Substitute   This double picture is what led some of the great Hebrew rabbis to suggest there might be two Messiahs that would come at different times and in different manners. And that then became the dominant tradition: Messiah will raise the dead Messiah will be victorious Messiah will reign in Jerusalem Messiah will bring peace   If we look at the New Testament the early followers of Jesus believed this same thing about the Messiah. However, when we go back to the pictures of Messiah in the Old Testament we don't simply see the reigning King we also see the Humble Substitute.     The eyewitnesses of Jesus raised and alive, is why those believers in Jesus as Messiah changed the world - for the first time they put together that Jesus was both a Reigning King and a Humble Substitute.   They said "There is ONE Messiah but He comes 2 times!"   The resurrection of Jesus puts these 2 Old Testament pictures of the Messiah together into ONE Messiah  New Testament:  Messiah was raised from death Messiah was victorious Messiah will return in victory Messiah will reign in Jerusalem Messiah will bring lasting peace   The Messiah is Almighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace! Pastor Jon Noyes reminds us that despite the chaos in the world, Jesus is reigning now, with all things under His authority, and His sovereignty continues to unfold through history. He emphasized that Christ's love is personal, unmerited, and infinite, freeing us from sin's power and commissioning us as priests to reflect His kingdom in our daily lives.
