「「マダニ媒介」感染症のネコ　治療の獣医師が数日後死亡　三重」　三重県の男性獣医師が、マダニが媒介する感染症にかかった猫を治療をしたあと、呼吸困難などの症状で亡くなっていたことが分かりました。三重県獣医師会によりますと、高齢の男性獣医師は2025年4月、マダニが媒介するウイルスによる感染症、SFTS（重症熱性血小板減少症候群）にかかった猫を入院させ治療にあたっていました。5月になり男性獣医師は呼吸困難などの症状を訴え病院に運ばれましたが、数日後に亡くなりました。検査の結果、獣医師はSFTSウイルスに感染していたことが分かりましたが、マダニにかまれた痕はなく、感染経路は分かっていません。SFTSウイルスはネコやイヌの体液からの感染も報告されていて、県は接触後に手を洗うなどの注意を呼び掛けています。
