TW: ED (6:03 to 12:05) This week, Srna and Jackie kick things off with a chat about their new Aritzia sets (watch on Spotify) and debate whether they're pink or lilac. Then, they dive deep into a topic that's so relatable: how our identity comes from everything…but ourselves. They discuss how we're shaped by everything we're exposed to and why it's crucial to do what feels right for you. Srna gets real about the pressure to go pro in tennis and the moment she realized it wasn't her dream, questioning if it was all just about appearances. Jackie opens up about her past experience with an ED triggered by comments about her looks and the struggle of letting go of that part of her identity. From silencing external noise to listening to our gut feelings, the roots of shame, and how our childhood beliefs and social media influence our self-perception, this is one of the besties' most heartfelt and deep conversations to date. _______ Hosted by Srna Stos and Jackie Shames Follow @fillyourcup.pod on Instagram and Tiktok

TW: ED (3:50 to 9:40) This week, Srna and Jackie dive into the juicy topic of bad habits. The besties kick things off with a raw and honest chat about their past restrictive ED routines that did more harm than good. Then, they discuss the unhealthy habits they're still working on. Srna shares her struggle to switch off from work, while Jackie talks about letting go of perfectionism and control. Things heat up with a candid conversation about dating. Did they fall for the same type of guy over and over in different packaging? What lessons did they learn, and how does Srna's current relationship differ from her past ones? They wrap up by discussing whether they're introverts or extroverts, sharing if family ever called them out on their habits, and realizing this episode was a major eye-opener with more habits to tackle than they initially thought... _______ Hosted by Srna Stos and Jackie Shames Produced by Ricardo Mantilla Follow @fillyourcup.pod on Instagram and Tiktok

In this week's solo episode, I open up & share the story of how I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, along with the gifts that disguised themselves as challenges for many, many years. I explain my experience of living with T1D through different phases in my life & how falling victim to life's circumstances ultimately brought me to what I **thought** was rock bottom (TW: ED). Little did I know, however, that hitting "rock bottom" was exactly what needed to happen in order for me to experience a contrast in e-motions and recognize the potential that comes with a 'simple' shift in perspective of life's circumstances. Through the last ~13 years of living with a chronic illness I've learned that when we cultivate self-trust & are open/willing to receive anything that comes our way - with open arms - life gets better. And, in this episode, I share with you the perspective that helped "flip the switch in my brain" and allowed me to experience the life force energy that comes with transmuting experiences of suffering into joy. (with music) I talk myself out of a hole, in big giant circles around loneliness and love and pain, as per the usual. Trying to aim for more music and magic and dreams as best I can, and remember how I pulled shit off before to help guide me in how to do it now. I don't know if having an imaginary boyfriend is helpful or unhelpful in distracting me from looking outside myself for love and therefore leaving a vulnerability exposed -- it didn't really fix the situation last time, but it did give me some enjoyment and fun stories that helped me survive being prey until something better came along. I don't have any better ideas, and an idle squirrel factory of a mind is a lunatic asylum from which one can't escape. I've got to get back on the road, woof. Oh, dude, I just realized: once I get done what I need to do I don't need to run out the clock on this reservation! I need to figure out what I need to prioritize getting done and what I can just cut my losses with, and do the best I can with what I've got, and figure out anything else on the road. I think I'll try to stay for the good stuff I've got coming, the stuff that feeds my soul and heart. The rest I'll let go of as necessary, and take the leap of faith (take 2!) of just GOING and seeing where I wind up. P.S. Most of my music seems to be showing up on my supplemental podcast right now -- http://anchor.fm/mobilehouseonfire -- yesterday's menu was one-take full-album sing-throughs Pink Floyd's 'Dark Side of the Moon' and 'Wish You Were Here.' Today it's probably gonna be a musical, Moulin Rouge (original movie) or Across the Universe, if I don't crash and burn following two doctor appointments and a world made of suck.
In this chaotic episode, Jiya and Athena bring some special guests on the podcast: their neighbors and best friends, Anushka and Aditi. They cover everything from their past fights, to how they all met and who ends up causing the most drama. TW:: ED, suicide
