Regional carriers typically operate aircraft, such as regional jets and turboprops, with a seating capacity ranging from 20 to 130 seats, on short to medium-haul routes. By the end of 2015 the regional aviation world fleet comprised of about 9000 units (4350 turboprop and 4650 regional jet) representing more than 33% of the worldwide commercial fleet and performing over 40% of total commercial flights (and 25% of total flight hours). Some pilots who learn to fly in China may want to branch out beyond the confines of our controlled airspace. America in particular, being the birthplace of the aeroplane itself, can be top of the list to do some flying once they finished their PPL. However, you may already know the fact that you can’t directly fly on a CAAC PPL in the US. A process to convert it to FAA PPL is needed. It’s not a tricky process, actually it’s quite simple. Literally, just some paperwork. Initially, fill in a few forms and submit them to FAA, waiting for a month or two to get the verification letter and making a short visit to an FAA office. When you arrive, you’ll be issued an American license which mirrors the privileges and validity of your original. Then, you are good to go. ...

    Let’s unveil the black boxes. The first things that is asked when any airplane crashes and the first things investigators looking into black boxes, which are made up of a flight data recorder (FDR) and cockpit voice recorder (CVR). First of all, the black boxes are stored in the empennage of the aircraft. Typically, memory boards inside it can store two hours of audio data and 25 hours of flight data from the FDR. The FDR has been designed to record operating data from the system of the aircraft, with sensors being wired to various parts of the aircraft to the flight data acquisition unit, which in turn is wired to the FDR. How about CVR? Several microphones are built into cockpits in aircraft and these can track the conversations inside the cockpit. They also pick up any ambient noise, including bangs, knocks or thuds.     这周,Claire 与其他三位协会会员前往瑞士意大利考察学习,其中拜访了意大利科莫航空俱乐部,让我们一起探寻这个世界上最古老的水上飞行基地吧~ 意大利北部,阿尔卑斯山脚下,坐落着科莫湖,景色秀美,空气清新。这使得湖边的科莫航空俱乐部具有天然的吸引力。建于1930年的科莫航空俱乐部是吉尼斯记录中世界上最古老的水上飞机飞行基地。作为水上飞行培训学校,俱乐部每年也培养了不少的水上飞机飞行员。俱乐部的主席Baj先生告诉我们,目前俱乐部共有200名会员,12架飞机,9位飞行教员。 Baj先生十分看好中国的水上飞机市场,他说将来中国空域开放之后,水上飞机的用武之地很大,期待有很多水上飞行的航空人才和适于水上飞机运行的湖区出现。中国发展通航应从根本上抓起——人才的培养。如果更多的人学习初级类飞行器和运动类飞行器,就需要培养更多的技术维修人才和小机场的空管人才。这样就可以推动整个行业的发展和进步。 2017年,我国民航局飞行标准司颁布了水上飞机训练与运行要求的咨询通告。国内水上飞机常用的机型有Cessna208、水獭和Y12,以及10月20日在荆门首飞成功的“鲲龙”AG600。目前中国只有几个水上机场,分别在三亚、湖北荆门、舟山和...
