Join Paul, Callum and Darren as they react to Celtic's 3-1 extra time win in the League Cup Semi-Final over Rangers. Celtic took the lead just before the half hour mark with a brilliant header from Johnny Kenny, guiding home a pinpoint Engels corner. Theo Aasgaard then saw red for a high challenge on Anthony Ralston, leaving Rangers with 10 men and more than an hour to play. The Hoops lost control of the game in the second period allowing Rangers back into it, and they equalised after a controversial handball decision was given against Ralston as he tried to block a Gassama shot on goal. Tavernier scored to level the game with less than 10 minutes of normal time remaining. In a game of many chances, Celtic passed up numerous excellent openings to kill the game in the second half - but Rangers also produced a couple of decent opportunities of their own. Into extra time and Callum McGregor's rifled shot from the edge of box had too much power for Jack Butland, who was helpless to prevent it flying into the roof of his net. At 2-1, Celtic had the lead again and this time they did eventually find a third to seal the game through Callum Osmand's first senior goal. Learn more about your ad choices.
