John and Brooky sit down with James to preview Scotland's Nations League A opening fixtures against Poland at Hampden and Portugal in Lisbon! We also debrief a terrible Euro 2024 campaign, discuss where Clarke's "evolution not revolution" plan might go right or wrong and make predictions on the upcoming matches. There is also the small matter of Podmaster Heat 2, where the Callum McGregor signed Scotland shirt is still up for grabs.
Celtic maintained their 100% start to the Scottish Premiership season with a comfortable 0-3 win over St. Mirren in Paisley. The Celts continued their habit of fast starts with captain Callum McGregor rifling into Balcombe's bottom left-hand corner from the edge of the box. Despite Celtic's dominance in the game, it took until 33 minutes to find the second goal. Maeda's knock down was struck first-time by his compatriot Hatate who found the bottom corner to give Celtic a 0-2 half-time lead. Into the second half and Celtic continued with their good tempo and quick combination play. There were chances for Kyogo and Kuhn, before Allistair Johnston underlapping run on the end of a Kuhn through ball, gave him the time and space to find the roof of the net to cap a great win for the Champions. Celtic cruised to a second successive win of the Premiership campaign at the weekend and Brendan Rodgers' has his side playing some impressive stuff in the early weeks of the season. But whilst he and his players continue to do their bit on the park, it remains to be seen if those behind the scenes can do their bit off it and to provide the necessary re-enforcements to the first team squad. As always at this time of year signing rumours swirl around cyberspace but the time for real action is fast approaching with now less than 3 weeks of the window remaining. One man who won't be making any moves this window is skipper Callum McGregor and we take a look at his decision to step down from international duty in order to fully focus on all things Celtic. A move that most – including his manager – seem pretty happy with!

It's been a big summer for many players around Steve Clarke's Scotland scene. Some players are just fine where they are - John McGinn, Callum McGregor, Aaron Hickey etc - but some of the lads are face to face with uncertainty; Scott McTominay, Che Adams and Kieran Tierney to name a few.
