The Go Radio Football Show: 27th of February 2026. PLAY and HIT SUBSCRIBE, and NEVER miss an episode! Old Firm mind games, selection dilemmas, fan unrest, and a title race on a knife edge. This episode delivers a fast-paced, fiery build‑up to one of the most anticipated Glasgow Derby weekends in years — all fuelled by sharp opinions, genuine insider insight, and a heavy dose of pre‑match tension. Celtic's first-ever win on German soil sets the tone, sparking debate on their momentum, their unexpected eight‑change gamble in Stuttgart, and the emerging goalkeeper selection headache. Meanwhile, Rangers' camp radiates confidence as Danny Rohl fires subtle verbal grenades, prompting reactions ranging from amused to outraged across the panel and callers. Barry Ferguson and Darren O'Dea offer deep tactical takes: Will Rangers go two up top? Will Martin O'Neill trust youth (Dane Murray) or experience (Kasper Schmeichel)? Can Celtic cope with the intensity and set‑play threat at Ibrox? Is the midfield battle already the deciding factor? The title race twists continue, with Motherwell's momentum, Hearts' nerve under pressure, and Aberdeen's decline all scrutinised. There's also a fascinating conversation on fan power at Celtic, Lord Willie Haughey's £10m share initiative, and how atmosphere — or lack of it — can make or break a season. Listener calls bring extra spice, including accusations of disrespect, claims of manager mind‑games, and bold predictions. And of course, the team makes their own scoreline calls for Sunday — divided, passionate, and absolutely certain of one thing: this one could change the season. On one hand they giveth... Goalkeeping punditry cranked up a notch at the weekend with Danny Murphy taking centre stage on MOTD. In showcasing Ederson's distribution in Man City's win over Brentford, he not only did so with understanding and well-reasoned analysis, but unknowingly carved a hole for the universe to strike a balance elsewhere. For over on Sky Sports, messrs Neville and Carragher continued their goalkeeping guffery with criticism of Guglielmo Vicario, Emi Martinez and Sam Johnstone - Neville at one point bizarrely stating Tottenham's Italian stopper had "frogs in his pants". In the Championship, James Trafford helped Burnley to a big win at Leeds, Jacob Zetterstrom bagged another clean sheet in a strong start to life at Derby and Anthony Patterson very nearly made a Save of the Season in Sunderland's loss at Plymouth. Tommy Simkin of Walsall takes Celebration of the Weekend and a shout out to Kasper Schmeichel for not conceding in his opening five league games for Celtic - the first time since 1906 any goalkeeper in Scotland has achieved such a feat.

Meanwhile, the panel select a lineup based on this summer's transfers that just seemed destined to happen, including Kasper Schmeichel's inevitable Old Firm move, various Turkish Super Lig signings, elite journeymen...but not Oli McBurnie to Las Palmas. Is it feasible for a professional goalkeeper to genuinely consider a career as a kicker in the NFL? That is a question we've posed on the podcast many times before. Indeed, Kasper Schmeichel - as you'll be reminded of in this episode - provided a very frank response when comparing the two disciplines a couple of years ago. Now, we have an answer. For Josh Lambo did just that. Following a short career in MLS - a short career, no less, which still encompassed starring for the USA at various youth international tournaments and very nearly bagging a move to Everton - he made the brave and ultimately successful decision to switch sports at the age of 22. The result: A fruitful decade of breaking records and cementing his name as the most accurate kicker in Jacksonville Jaguars history. Here, Josh outlines the similarities between goalkeeping and placekicking, why and how he chose one over the other, and the meeting with NBA great Kobe Bryant that he believes reshaped his mindset. Visit joshlambo.com to find out more about the man on a mission to help people change the way they think.

Navn: Allan Poulsen Født: 9. marts 1947 Interviewer: Anders Mielke

"Give me the ball you fucking prick", råber den danske målmand Kasper Schmeichel efter en bolddreng fra verdens dårligste landshold.
