Kasper Schmeichel's Career in Doubt A sombre moment arrives as the team discuss Kasper Schmeichel's injury, with Grant noting “it's a shame it ends that way… he has been struggling” . The consensus: a great career, but this may be the end. The Tightest Title Race in Years Hearts, Celtic, Rangers — three clubs separated by a single win. Moore admits he changes his mind weekly, but still edges Celtic as slight favourites. Grant argues the run‑in is now “an eight‑game season” where every match is a battle of nerve and momentum . Elijah Just: The Breakout Star Everyone Wants Motherwell's Kiwi sensation Elijah Just earns rave reviews. Moore praises his numbers and intelligence, while Grant compares his movement to Ian Durrant — “his timing was excellent… that's who he puts me in mind of”. Celtic's Summer Rebuild The panel agree major changes are coming. Grant is blunt: “There has to be… I don't think other players from other teams get into the Celtic squad now” . Moore adds that clubs sometimes hold onto players too long, citing Hatate and Maeda. Scotland Squad Debate & Youth Pathways Stevie Clarke's comments spark discussion about young talent.  Striker Shortage & Nostalgia for the Greats A brilliant segment sees the panel reminisce about McCoist, McAvennie, Nicholas, and Durrant — and lament Scotland's lack of modern equivalents. Grant's line sums it up: “Where's the next Scottish boys going to come through?” . Danny Rohl's Rangers & the Pressure of Expectation Moore praises Rohl's impact but worries about creativity in tight games. Grant insists Rangers fans must remember “where you were” when he arrived and that he “deserves to stay” regardless of the title outcome . The Go Radio Football Show: 27th of February 2026. PLAY and HIT SUBSCRIBE, and NEVER miss an episode! Old Firm mind games, selection dilemmas, fan unrest, and a title race on a knife edge. This episode delivers a fast-paced, fiery build‑up to one of the most anticipated Glasgow Derby weekends in years — all fuelled by sharp opinions, genuine insider insight, and a heavy dose of pre‑match tension. Celtic's first-ever win on German soil sets the tone, sparking debate on their momentum, their unexpected eight‑change gamble in Stuttgart, and the emerging goalkeeper selection headache. Meanwhile, Rangers' camp radiates confidence as Danny Rohl fires subtle verbal grenades, prompting reactions ranging from amused to outraged across the panel and callers. Barry Ferguson and Darren O'Dea offer deep tactical takes: Will Rangers go two up top? Will Martin O'Neill trust youth (Dane Murray) or experience (Kasper Schmeichel)? Can Celtic cope with the intensity and set‑play threat at Ibrox? Is the midfield battle already the deciding factor? The title race twists continue, with Motherwell's momentum, Hearts' nerve under pressure, and Aberdeen's decline all scrutinised. There's also a fascinating conversation on fan power at Celtic, Lord Willie Haughey's £10m share initiative, and how atmosphere — or lack of it — can make or break a season. Listener calls bring extra spice, including accusations of disrespect, claims of manager mind‑games, and bold predictions. In Conversation - Celtic's goalkeeper Viljami Sinisalo Celtic's young goalkeeper Viljami Sinisalo chats to us about his SPFL debut and being patient waiting for his first team opportunity as understudy to Kasper Schmeichel which came last weekend when he kept a clean sheet against Hearts. He was called into action early in the game on three occasions. He made his Celtic debut earlier in the season in the League Cup v Raith Rovers in the 5-0 win but has had to patiently wait for his chance since then. Brendan Rodgers said earlier this week that first choice goalkeeper Schmeichel could be out for up to five or six weeks after getting injured on international duty for Denmark. Now Sinisalo has a chance to impress as Celtic head towards another SPFL Trophy starting this weekend away to St. Johnstone. He will also be travelling across the city to Ibrox when the league splits and has also a Hampden Park Scottish Cup debut to look forward to against St. Johnstone. Hosted on Acast.
