Beşiktaş have finally made an end to their 5 game winless streak in the Turkish Süper Lig and they've done so in a crucial derby match against rivals Fenerbahçe! A 73th minute Oxlade-Chamberlain that seemingly wasn't touched by anyone and trailed in to the goal was the only thing to sepperate the two Istanbul giants on Saturday! Both sides had some chances, but ultimately it was a relatively tame match with a lot of physicality but without spectacular football. Gedson Fernandes was wrongfully dismissed right at the end with a second yellow after a clean steal, but the Black Eagles managed to hold on to secure the 3 points! The latest Liverpool.com podcast is here, with Kristian Walsh, Dan Morgan and Joel Rabinowitz discussing one of the major storylines coming out of this summer: player sales. With the belief selling players could lead to funding the purchase of others, which players would you sell? The team run through the entire squad, ranking and rating the likelihood of their departures from Anfield Some are obvious (no-one is selling Alisson, Trent or big Virg, right?) but the likes of Matip, Wijnaldum, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Origi and even the front three cause some debate. There's also a short discussion on how awful Thomas Tuchel is, and how awful the new Nike away kit could be. It's been another nonstop week of Premier League and Champions League action and Rebecca & Alex are back to break down the big talking points from the last 7 days. We have to start with Chelsea's very up and down week - from the highs of beating Mourinho's Tottenham in the big battle for fourth place in the Premier League, to the lows of a humbling loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League. We take a closer look at Frank Lampard's tactics & man management, a torrid night for Reece James, youth and experience, Olivier Giroud's return, as well as Gnabry & Lewandowski shining again and squad issues for Jose Mourinho at Spurs. At Anfield, Liverpool had perhaps their toughest game of the season against West Ham United - which probably came as much of a shock to David Moyes as it did to everyone else. We chat about that surprising West Ham showing, goalkeeping errors, Oxlade-Chamberlain's impact, missing Jordan Henderson, and why Trent-Alexander Arnold could be a generational talent. Unsurprisingly, we have to dig into yet more VAR failings in the Premier League too - with the missed Lo Celso red card incident and the inevitable nonsense of the disallowed goal / penalty decision in Burnley vs Bournemouth. We also round up the other happenings in the Champions League this week - including Pep's tactical masterclass for Man City at the Bernabéu, Sergio Ramos seeing red again, Sarri's struggles at Juventus, and Barcelona nearly coming a cropper in Naples. Plus, a look ahead to Chelsea vs Liverpool in the FA Cup, Mourinho's Greatest Hits, Burnley not being relegation candidates, Trojans and tunnels, 'Robbery', painting pianists, mushy bananas, circles vs squares, and the Netflix sensation 'Love is Blind'. **Please take the time to rate and review us on iTunes or wherever you get your podcasts, as it makes it easier for other potential listeners to find us. The latest episode of Across The Park podcast begins with Gary and Terry reviewing the hard fought victory away at Norwich, in which Sadio Mane returned from his injury lay off to come off the bench and win the game. Terry and Gary are questioned about the futures of Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita after another underwhelming display from both. Manchester City’s potential European football ban is then discussed, which increases the chances of Everton qualifying for the Champions League, a possibility which seemed unthinkable no less than a month ago! Liverpool’s return to Madrid is then previewed as the Reds meet Atletico Madrid in the first leg of the last 16 of the Champions league on Tuesday. Judgy and Craig then look forward to Everton’s home game against a resurgent Arsenal on Sunday which gives the blues the chance to close the gap further on the top 6. The episode concludes with the lads previewing Liverpool’s home game against David Moyes’ West Ham on Monday night, before tackling some interesting questions from listeners.

Hosts Mick and Jay welcomed Gareth Roberts from the Anfield Wrap on to The Kopite podcast to discuss the Reds recent fortunes. The lads first discussed the great away 2-1 win at Villa and dissected the performance of Sadio Mane and why the criticism levied at him from Pep Guardiola will only fire him up for the upcoming clash against Manchester City on Sunday. They went on to discuss the missing Fabinho and how that effected the team and how Lallana performed in his absence. The trio then glided over the 2-1 Genk win as it was won in a workmanlike manner and talked about how the game seemed nothing but a warm-up to the main event on Sunday. Manchester City was then the topic of conversation and the boys went into detail about who will start out of Dejan Lovren and Joe Gomez and whether Oxlade-Chamberlain deserves a place in the starting XI after recent excellent performances. The guys then finished with Robbo telling us about his start into the fan media arena and how his ‘Well Red' fanzine helped shape and push his popularity among LFC fans. Robbo went on to discuss the fortunes of The Anfield Wrap and how fan-driven content will always be welcomed.

After a quick look back on the Champions League win over Genk, and some of the talking points from it, the focus shifts to Sunday's massive match at home to Manchester City in the Premier League. Should Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain start against the defending champions? And why does Pep Guardiola talk about Jurgen Klopp's table-toppers so often? Last season's corresponding fixture ended in a 0-0 draw, a result which, on the surface, would suit the Reds this time around given their six-point buffer at the top. But two of our panellists are not so sure. And there's also time for Caoimhe, Paul and Fitzy to select their sides for Sunday. Enjoy! Happy Halloween! Rebecca and Alex have (sort of) recovered from their party to chat about lots of Premier League, Champions League and Carabao Cup action from the last week. We start with Liverpool and their big wins over Genk, Tottenham and Arsenal. There's a lot of love for Oxlade-Chamberlain's screamers and questions about whether he should be starting more regularly, Jordan Henderson's second half revival vs Spurs, Trent and Fabinho being brilliant, Origi strikes again, odd media narratives, and Firmino's scouse accent. We also delve into Tottenham and Arsenal's performances and the current state of the clubs - including discussion about the fans and Granit Xhaka, Harry Kane continuing to be irritating, and whether Jose Mourinho could pop up at one of the north London clubs soon. Chelsea have also had a pretty good week - the loss to Man Utd in the Carabao Cup was disappointing but the win vs Ajax was massive, while Christian Pulisic stole the show with his perfect hat-trick vs Burnley. And yes, we also find time to discuss Leicester City's 9-0 annihilation of Southampton and how they could be a top four stalwart for seasons, as well as yet more confusion about VAR in the Premier League - even when the officials lower the bar, they still manage to get it wrong! Plus, the powers of Lemsip, Lampard's Time-Turners, Nutella goals, fridge spinning, Cap-tricks, Anders confusion, and how Marvel editors could help improve football. **Please take the time to rate and review us on iTunes or wherever you get your podcasts, as it makes it easier for other potential listeners to find us. Jurgen Klopp was back in front of the media at Melwood to preview Sunday’s trip to Cardiff City and talk much more else besides. Klopp’s double-chasing side will lift at least one of the two trophies they are chasing if they win their final seven games of the season, and the Liverpool manager is asked what it’s like to be in that position, how he keeps his players relaxed, and how they train at such an intense stage of the campaign. Klopp is also questioned about the damage done to Manchester City following their dramatic Champions League exit as well as providing a fitness update on Joe Gomez, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Dejan Lovren. The Reds boss also has praise for Tottenham Hotspur – City’s conquerors in midweek – and for Mohamed Salah after his selection by Time magazine as one of the most 100 influential people in the world. And of course there was a little bit about the game, too, and the biggest danger relegation-battling Cardiff pose. For information regarding your data privacy, visit acast.com/privacy
