Celtic edge Livingston in a nervy 2–1 at Celtic Park under Martin O'Neill, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain delivering a late moment of quality to settle it. James and Alan break down why the game felt tighter than the shot count suggests—Livingston's shifting approach (early pressure → deep block), Celtic's difficulty turning control into clear chances, and how set-piece chaos nearly stole the points. There's a deep dive on cross volume vs chance quality (cutbacks vs “hope” balls), what the match says about Celtic's current attacking identity, and a big worry: Arne Engels' injury and what it means for the midfield balance. The show closes by looking ahead to Kilmarnock at Rugby Park and scanning the wider Scottish Premiership title race through an xG/variance lens.Want to support the channel? - https://huddlebreakdown.comLike this video and want more content like it? See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Är det ett systemfel just nu eller är det individuella insatser som haltar? Dessutom såklart en sväng ner i den tragiska VAR-gyttjan.

The latest Liverpool.com podcast is here, with Kristian Walsh, Dan Morgan and Joel Rabinowitz discussing one of the major storylines coming out of this summer: player sales. With the belief selling players could lead to funding the purchase of others, which players would you sell? The team run through the entire squad, ranking and rating the likelihood of their departures from Anfield Some are obvious (no-one is selling Alisson, Trent or big Virg, right?) but the likes of Matip, Wijnaldum, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Origi and even the front three cause some debate. There's also a short discussion on how awful Thomas Tuchel is, and how awful the new Nike away kit could be. But it's all about the tier game this week, and once you have listened, you can play along and leave your votes here: https://data.reachplc.com/202264091516853The Liverpool Echo sends a twice-daily Liverpool FC bulletin out via email with the all latest news, views and analysis from Anfield. It's been another nonstop week of Premier League and Champions League action and Rebecca & Alex are back to break down the big talking points from the last 7 days. We have to start with Chelsea's very up and down week - from the highs of beating Mourinho's Tottenham in the big battle for fourth place in the Premier League, to the lows of a humbling loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League. We take a closer look at Frank Lampard's tactics & man management, a torrid night for Reece James, youth and experience, Olivier Giroud's return, as well as Gnabry & Lewandowski shining again and squad issues for Jose Mourinho at Spurs. At Anfield, Liverpool had perhaps their toughest game of the season against West Ham United - which probably came as much of a shock to David Moyes as it did to everyone else. We chat about that surprising West Ham showing, goalkeeping errors, Oxlade-Chamberlain's impact, missing Jordan Henderson, and why Trent-Alexander Arnold could be a generational talent. Unsurprisingly, we have to dig into yet more VAR failings in the Premier League too - with the missed Lo Celso red card incident and the inevitable nonsense of the disallowed goal / penalty decision in Burnley vs Bournemouth. We also round up the other happenings in the Champions League this week - including Pep's tactical masterclass for Man City at the Bernabéu, Sergio Ramos seeing red again, Sarri's struggles at Juventus, and Barcelona nearly coming a cropper in Naples. Plus, a look ahead to Chelsea vs Liverpool in the FA Cup, Mourinho's Greatest Hits, Burnley not being relegation candidates, Trojans and tunnels, 'Robbery', painting pianists, mushy bananas, circles vs squares, and the Netflix sensation 'Love is Blind'. **Please take the time to rate and review us on iTunes or wherever you get your podcasts, as it makes it easier for other potential listeners to find us. The latest episode of Across The Park podcast begins with Gary and Terry reviewing the hard fought victory away at Norwich, in which Sadio Mane returned from his injury lay off to come off the bench and win the game. Terry and Gary are questioned about the futures of Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita after another underwhelming display from both. Manchester City’s potential European football ban is then discussed, which increases the chances of Everton qualifying for the Champions League, a possibility which seemed unthinkable no less than a month ago! Liverpool’s return to Madrid is then previewed as the Reds meet Atletico Madrid in the first leg of the last 16 of the Champions league on Tuesday. Judgy and Craig then look forward to Everton’s home game against a resurgent Arsenal on Sunday which gives the blues the chance to close the gap further on the top 6. The episode concludes with the lads previewing Liverpool’s home game against David Moyes’ West Ham on Monday night, before tackling some interesting questions from listeners.
Liverpool took on Southampton at Anfield, the game finished 4-0 thanks to a second half masterclass from Jurgen Klopp's reds. Goals from Oxlade-Chamberlain, Henderson and Salah in the second half gave us a handsome victory and put us 22 points clear at the top of the table. I discuss why Gomez is England's best centre back and why I am so impressed by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Jurgen Klopp has been holding his regular pre-match press conference ahead of taking on Wolves on Thursday night in the Premier League. To start with Klopp was asked about the latest on his team news with Dejan Lovren, James Milner, Naby Keita and Xherdan Shaqiri's availability all discussed. Sticking with Shaqiri and the German dismissed any rumours linking the Switzerland international with a move away from Anfield this month. On the fitness front, the manager speaks about when Fabinho could be likely to return to the starting XI before giving his take on any suggestions Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is getting frustrated after being subbed off against Manchester United at Anfield on Sunday. Liverpool travelled down to the Vitality Stadium in Bournemouth trying to extend their lead at the top of the table and with a heavily rotated side came away with yet another victory. Starts for Keita, Gomez and Oxlade-Chamberlain meant Liverpool were well rested and rejuvenated and the performance showed that. Goals from Ox, Salah, and Keita meant that the injury ravaged Bournemouth side couldn't compete. As easy a three nil win as we've had all season. Up the Table Topping Reds!
